Everything shall live, Death is Healed, and Life Grows where the River of life Flows

...Everything shall live wherever the river comes... Ezek. 47:9Praise the Lord, everything shall live where the river of life flows from the house of God! This river produces trees with fruits, a lot of fish, and cattle, and this river waters and heals for the producing of life.

As long as we have this river, our death is healed and everything shall live. We just need to make sure we have the flow of life, that is, we need to allow the Lord to measure us so that the level of the water of life would increase.

The more the Lord as the man of bronze measures us, the more the level of the river of water of life increases in our being, and the more this flow of life is deepened in us. The more we allow the Lord to examine, test, and judge us to possess us, the deeper the flow becomes.

The depth of the flow depends on how much we have been measured by the Lord. If we allow the Lord to shine on us and expose us, measure us, and judge anything in us that is not according to His standard, we will have the flow of life, and we will be filled with life and even become a channel of life.

There is a great need for us to cooperate with the Lord’s measuring and judging in our being so that the level of His life would increase in us, and the flow of life would be deepened. We have the flow of life today, but it may be quite small, like a trickle, or a little flow up to the ankles…

We need to allow the Lord to measure our mind, our emotions, and our will, and all the inner parts of our being, so that He would possess them and gain them, and thus the flow of life would increase in us.

The more the flow of life increases in us and the deeper we are in the flow, the more we are limited. When the river is up to the ankles, up to the knees, or up to the chest, we still have some liberty to move in the water.

But when the level of water is so increased that it becomes a river, it sweeps us off our feet, and we are carried along by the flow. In a sense, we are fully limited, but in another sense, we are fully free, for we don’t have to do any effort or struggling – the flow of life carries us on and brings us to where God wants to be.

May we all aspire to the experience of these things that we may have an increased and deepened flow of life, and then everything shall live where the river goes.

The River of Water of Life causes Everything to Live and be Full of Life where it goes

In the proper church life there are many trees producing fruit, and thus there is no lack of fruit. If the church in your locality is living, there will be trees bearing fruit. Trees producing fruit are an indication that there is a flow in your church. The trees grow by the living water. If there is a flow in your local church, there surely will be the trees bearing an abundance of fruit. With the flowing of the river, there is also fishing (v. 10). Fishing signifies the increase in numbers. If the number of people in your local church does not increase year after year, this means that there is no fishing, and no fishing means that there is no flow. If we would have fishing, we must have the flow. In the church life we also need some fountains of kids and fountains of calves for feeding. Thus, we need food, we need the increase in numbers, and we need the feeding. This will bring in the mending, the building up....All these matters depend on one thing—the flow of the river...of God. W. Lee, Life-study of Ezekiel, pp. 309-310The river of water flowing from the house goes down to Arabah (the wilderness) and goes to the sea, and everything shall live where the river goes. Where there was a wilderness, there are now fruit bearing trees, fish, and cattle.

The river of water of life is for watering the dry land and healing the Dead Sea.

Praise the Lord, wherever the river flows, everything shall live and be full of life (Ezek. 47:9)! This means that, if we have the flow of life in the church life, there will be many trees bearing delicious fruit, and there will be plenty of fish.

When we have the flow of life increased in the church life, we have much enjoyment of the riches and experiences of Christ, and we have many new ones, many new brothers and sisters. There are many fishermen there, and there are a lot of fish.

When we have the flow of life increased and deepened in our being and in the church life, the immediate result is that life is everywhere. There are many experiences of life, much enjoyment of the riches of life, and even the increase of life.

Fish typify the increase in numbers, fishermen typify those who preach the gospel, and En-Gedi and En-eglaim mean “the fountain of the kid” and “the fountain of the two calves” respectively.

As long as we cooperate with the Lord for there to be a deeper flow of life, this river of life will produce life wherever it goes. Wherever a person of life in the river of life goes, everything shall live. In the church life we also need some “fountains of kids” and “fountains of calves” for feeding.

Thus, we need food, we need the increase in numbers, and we need the feeding. This will bring in the mending and the building up. All these matters depend on one thing — the flow of the river of God from the house of God.

This is very significant. We may think that in order for us to receive life, grow in life, and have something to speak to others to give life to them we merely have to read the Bible and pray.

This is correct, but according to the picture here in Ezek. 47, what brings life everywhere and what causes life to grow, increase, and bear fruit is the flow of the river coming from the house of God. In other words, if we want to have the experience and enjoyment of the riches of Christ, we need to have the flow of life.

If we want to have an increase of men in the church, we need to cooperate with the Lord for the increase and deepening of the flow of life. As long as we have the flow and are in the flow, there will be life everywhere, for everything shall live where the river goes.

Lord Jesus, may we be those who have the flow of life and allow this flow to bring life wherever it goes. Increase the flow of life in our being, and keep us in the flow of life in our living and in the church life. Hallelujah, everything shall live where the river goes! Amen, Lord, may there be the growth, mending, healing, and building up in the church life as a result of the river of God flowing among us. Have a free way to flow and bring life wherever You go in us and among us.

The River from the House Waters the Desert and Heals the Dead Sea – Watering and Healing

Ezek. 47:8-9 This water flows out toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah and goes to the sea; when it flows into the sea, the water of the sea is healed. And every living creature which swarms in every place where the river goes shall live, and there will be very many fish, when this water comes there. And the water of the sea shall be healed, and everything shall live wherever the river comes. The river flowing from the house of God goes all the way to the Dead Sea, watering the desert and healing the Dead Sea (Ezek. 47:8). Wherever this river goes, it enlivens, for it is full of life.

The Dead Sea is salty and dead; nothing can grow there, for it is ten times more salty than the ocean, and it is at the lowest point of the earth’s surface. But when the river comes, everything shall live, for this river will heal the Dead Sea.

Man cannot heal death, but the flow of the water of life can heal death and bring in life. In the church life we don’t need more human solutions; what we need is the death-swallowing flow of life.

In our meetings and in our service, what we need is more of the flow of life, more life to be ministered, so that any death would be swallowed up. What we long to see in the church life is this flow that swallows up death and gives life wherever it goes.

When we are in the flow, we will give life to those we meet, and any death is healed. When we are in the meeting and we speak something, if we are in the flow of life, everything shall live, and any death will be swallowed up and healed. This should be the normal situation in the church life.

In the church life and in the family life we need a lot of healing of all kinds of death and by-products of death such as offenses, difficulties, adversities, hurts, hatred, passivity, indifference, etc.

When the river of water of life reaches any death situation, it heals it, mends the situation, and brings in life abundantly; everything shall live where the river flows!

Again and again the Lord said in Ezek. 47:8-9, “the water of the sea shall be healed”. To us it is impossible; it is not possible for us to heal a situation full of death, and whenever there are by-products of death, the human opinion or solution does not really work.

What really heals the death situation is the flow of life, the river of water of life flowing from the house of God. The river waters the dry, parched land, and it heals the death waters. The watering and healing are for the purpose of producing life.

Life is what we need. We don’t need more teachings or doctrines: we need the flow of life which waters us, heals us, mends us, and brings in life.

Life is what those around us need; they don’t need our correction, criticizing, help with this or that, or solutions – they need the flow of life which can water their dry being to mend them, heal them, and bring in life. May we be people in the flow of life who bring life wherever they go!

Lord Jesus, flow in us as the river of water of life to water us, heal our death, and bring in more life. May there be a river flowing in our being, and may we be in the flow of life wherever we go and whatever we do. We need Your healing, Lord, and we need Your mending. Heal our sick and dead condition. Swallow up any death in our being. Flow in us, and flow through us to others to swallow any death in them, water them, mend them, heal them, and produce life in them. Oh, may everything live where this river flows!

Thus, the flow of the river produces trees, fish, and cattle. The fishermen spread their nets on the land from En-gedi to En-eglaim. They spread their nets on the land between these two fountains. The trees, the fish, and the cattle in Ezekiel 47 are mentioned according to the order in Genesis 1. In Genesis 1 the plant life is first, the fish are second, and the cattle are third.

We need En-gedi, and we need En-eglaim, the fountains of the kids and the calves. We must realize that the potential with the Lord’s recovery is with the young people. I am happy to see so many “kids” and “calves” in the church life. I am an older saint, and I am also very thankful for all the older saints among us. All the “kids” need the care of the older saints. Although I love and appreciate all the older saints, deep within me I realize that the future, the prosperity, and the potential of the Lord’s move is with the young ones, with the kids and with the calves. The many young people among us who are full of life are evidence that the local church is the fountain of the kids and the fountain of the calves.
