How I Exercise my Spirit to Touch the Living Lord in the Morning

Lord Jesus I love You, thank You for another day to gain more of You.I begin my time with the Lord as soon as I wake up, so that I may touch the living Lord. Every morning, before I get out of bed, before I do anything I say out loud,

Lord Jesus I love You, thank You for another day to gain more of You.

Whether I use the Bible or The Holy Word for Morning Revival I usually read aloud. I always begin with offering a small prayer to the Lord. For example, I might pray,

Lord Jesus I come to You under Your cleansing blood, I open my being to You. Lord I am here to touch You. Oh Lord Jesus I am one with You.

I have learned over the years to be simple, humble and honest with the Lord. The most important thing is for me to exercise my spirit to touch the living Lord. A most excellent way is to call on the name of the Lord from deep within.

Recently, in addition to The Holy Word for Morning Revival, I have been enjoying the Gospel of John. I read one chapter a day and almost always aloud. I will pause and pray a verse or two as I am touched to do so. I love to pray-read, sometimes softly, sometimes loudly, and sometimes even shouting.

Even though I have read many footnotes before, I read them again. Each time something new enlivens not only my spirit but also my mind. Praise the Lord, the logos (written word) can become the rhema (instant word) in my being.

One time I remember brother Lee exhorted us to dig out the riches in the Word because it is a mine filled with gems.

During the week I read the Life-Study messages of John in conjunction with the respective chapters of the Bible I have read during my morning revival. Nowhere else has the Word been opened to us in such a rich way but in this ministry.

Sometimes, I feel too tired or rushed to begin my daily activities. If I miss my time with the Lord I feel empty inside and something is missing. So at those times I must force myself to go to the Lord. Even though the time may be shorter I still gain something to carry me on.

If I spend a good time with the Lord in His Word, it is very profitable and I am strengthened. Often as I go through the day I will repeat a portion of the Word I enjoyed in the morning. Many times, spontaneously, I find myself singing a hymn or praising the Lord. He meets our every need.

Amen, Thank you for sharing Brother Larry.
As a working mother, In the morning i spend time with the Lord beginning with a short prayer to the Lord. I ask for cleansing in the blood and then, sometimes I have a song in my spirit so i go to the Hymnal and sing out aloud that particular Hymn, then i pray read the verse for the morning in the HWMR and enjoy the Lord in the verses, then I pray and commit the day and the family and the saints to the Lord.
During the day I go back during my free time at work to read the days portion of nourishment in the HWMR.
In the evening i make the effort to read a portion of scripture to enjoy the Lord before bed.
