God becomes our Life by Entering into us Organically to be Assimilated into our Being

John 6:57 As the living Father has sent Me and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also shall live because of Me.In His economy God desires to dispense Himself into our being so that He would become the very fiber and cell of our inner being; for this to happen, we need to eat, digest, and assimilate Christ to be constituted with Him in order to express Him and represent Him.

Eating is a very important practice in our human life: if we don’t eat, we die, but if we eat in a regular way healthy food, we live and express a healthy being. The Bible is a book containing many words, but it is a book that is different from any other books.

The Bible is not merely a book with words – it is the word of God to nourish us, His believers, with the very element of God.

The Lord Jesus went through incarnation, human living, crucifixion, death, and resurrection, and in resurrection He became a life-giving Spirit; as such a Spirit, He comes into us at the time of our regeneration.

The essence of God, the life-giving Spirit, is contained in the word of God, and we as believers in Christ need to exercise our spirit – a special organ put by God in our being to contact God and contact Him in His word – to read the Bible with much prayer so that we may be inwardly nourished.

The word of God is milk for us to drink and grow unto salvation (1 Pet. 2:3), and it is also solid food, containing the word of righteousness (Heb. 5:13-14). We can taste God – taste His goodness – by drinking the guileless milk of the word through exercising our spirit to pray-read the word of God.

As believers in Christ, we need to advance from merely drinking the milk of the word (the word of the beginning of Christ, the rudiments of the beginning of the oracles of God, the sweet parts in God’s word) to eating the word of righteousness as the solid food in the word of God.

We need to be brought on to maturity by eating solid spiritual food, that is, hear and read with prayer the word of righteousness in God’s word. If we would eat the solid food, the word of righteousness, we need experience and exercise.

Whoever partakes of milk is inexperienced in the word of righteousness, for solid food is for the full-grown who, because of practice have their faculties exercised for discriminating between both good and evil.

May we be those who grow in life by not only drinking the milk in God’s word but eating the solid food, the word of righteousness!

God’s Economy is that we Eat, Digest, and Assimilate Christ to be Constituted with Him

John 6:35 Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall by no means hunger, and he who believes into Me shall by no means ever thirst. On His side, the Triune God is constantly dispensing His element and all His riches into us; on our side, the way for us to experience the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity in our daily living is to eat, digest, and assimilate the Lord Jesus as food by feeding on His word (see John 6:35, 51-57, 63).

Just as our physical eating is very important to our human life, so our eating of the word of God is actually the carrying out of God’s economy, for by praying over God’s word we have the divine dispensing into our being.

How and when can the economy of God happen to us and in us? God’s economy takes place when we eat, digest, and assimilate the Lord Jesus in the word of God.

God’s economy is that we eat, digest, and assimilate Christ so that we may be constituted with Him, with the result that we express Him and represent Him. The way to live a healthy Christian life is by eating the Lord Jesus in His word by praying over God’s word.

Humanly speaking, the healthy color on our face is given by our regular eating of healthy food; applying cosmetics to our skin is not the way to look healthy or good. For us to grow in life and have the transformation in life, we need to eat Christ as our healthy spiritual food.

Many believers today are spiritually weak and even sick because they do not eat Jesus in a regular way in His word. If we eat Jesus every day, we will be spiritually full of energy, and there will be a metabolic process of transformation going on in our inner being.

God wants us not only to be His vessels to contain Him as life but also eat Him, digest Him, and assimilate Him (John 6:57). We contain the Lord because we received Him at the time of our regeneration, but we grow in life and are being transformed into His image when we eat Him in His word.

God’s eternal plan is to work Himself into His chosen people so that He becomes their very constituent....God not only desires that man be His vessel to contain Him (Rom. 9:21, 23; 2 Cor. 4:7), but also wants man to eat, digest, and assimilate Him (John 6:57). When we eat, digest, and assimilate physical food, we are energized and strengthened. The food that we eat is dispensed into our blood and through the blood into every part of our body. Eventually, the food that we have eaten becomes the fiber, tissue, and cells of our being. In the same way, God’s eternal plan is to dispense Himself into us so that He becomes every fiber of our inward being. He wants to be digested and assimilated by us so that He can become the constituent of our inward being. W. Lee, The Divine Dispensing for the Divine Economy, p. 9Humanly speaking, the food that we eat is being digested in our stomach and then it is assimilated into every part of our being; the blood vessels bring the digested food to all the cells and fibers of our being, and our body grows and is full of energy and strength.

Spiritually speaking, God’s plan is to dispense Himself into us so that He may become the very fiber and cells of our being, and the way He does it is by means of His dispensing; the way we cooperate with Him to receive His dispensing is by eating the Lord in His word so that we may digest Him and assimilate Him into our being, thus being constituted into us.

God has no intention to have a group of people who outwardly imitate Jesus and try their best to live like Him; He wants to dispense Himself through His word into our inner being and reconstitute us with Himself so that we would live because of Him and express Him corporately.

When we take in the word of God, it becomes the constituents of our spiritual being – the Spirit and life contained in the word of God becomes part of our heart, our spirit, our conscience, and all our inner parts, until it reconstitutes us.

Lord Jesus, we want to experience the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity in our daily living by eating, digesting, and assimilating the Lord Jesus as food! Amen! Lord, we want to feed on the word of God so that the element of God would be dispensed into us and become our constituent. Make us those who eat, digest, and assimilate Christ to be constituted with Him in order to express Him and represent Him. Save us from focusing on outward things – may our attention be on exercising our spirit to pray over the word of God and thus be constituted with the element of God!

God becomes our Life by Entering into us Organically to be Assimilated into our Being

The Triune God becomes our life and life supply by entering into us organically to be assimilated into the fibers of our spiritual being (Eph. 3:16-17a; 4:23). God’s eternal plan is to dispense Himself into us so that He becomes every fiber of our inward being; He wants to be eaten, digested, and assimilated by us so that He can become our constituent (2 Cor. 13:14). Crystallization-study of Ezekiel, outline 10In Matt. 15 a Canaanite woman came to the Lord to ask Him to heal her son, and the Lord’s reply was that it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs (v. 26).

She wanted the Lord to do something outwardly for her, but He revealed Himself as the children’s bread; He came not merely to heal and do things, but to be the food for His people to eat. The Lord came as the bread of life, and He wants us to not merely ask Him for healing and help but come to Him, eat Him as the bread of life, and digest and assimilate Him into our being.

As long as the Lord can get into us to nourish us, every problem will be solved. All our problems have one source: our lack of eating Jesus. When we eat Jesus, God becomes our life by entering into us organically to be assimilated into our being.

We should forget about any outward rituals or practices and focus on taking Christ as our food so that God would be dispensed into our being.

Jesus Christ was processed and consummated to become edible; He didn’t become a stone for us to eat (we can’t digest stones!) but a piece of bread, even crumbs under the table, for us as His people to take in and be nourished.

In order for the Triune God to be our life supply and even our life, He must come into our being through our prayerful reading of the word of God with the exercise of the spirit, and He will be digested and assimilated by us.

The Lord Jesus said, I am the living bread which came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he shall live forever (John 6:51). Later He said, As the living Father has sent Me and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also shall live because of Me (v. 57).

This is the key of living the Christian life: we need to eat the Lord Jesus as the bread of life so that we may live because of Him. When we eat the Lord in His word, God in Christ as the Spirit of life comes into us to become our life; He enters into us organically to be digested and assimilated into our being.

God wants to become the constituent of our spiritual being – He wants to become our life supply by entering into us organically to be assimilated into the very fibers of our spiritual being.

Paul calls this, …that Christ may make His home in your heart through faith… (Eph. 3:16-17). How does Christ make His home in our heart? It is by our eating of God’s word, so that God would enter into us organically and be assimilated into the fibers of our spiritual being.

And just as we don’t fully understand how the food we eat becomes part of us – but we eat it, we digest it, and we assimilate it – so in the spiritual realm we don’t exactly know how this happens, but when we exercise our spirit to pray over the word of God, God in Christ becomes our life by entering into us organically to be assimilated into our being.

Lord, we want to take You as our life and let You enter into us organically to be assimilated into the very fibers of our spiritual being. Make Your home in our heart as we eat You in Your word. May Your word dwell in us richly, and may we exercise our spirit to not only read but also pray over the written word of God so that we may inwardly nourished with God and have the element of God wrought into us. Lord, may we eat You as our healthy spiritual food daily so that any problems would be solved and You may be expressed and represented through us!

According to chapter 6 of the Gospel of John, Christ is a loaf, the bread of life, for us to eat. The Lord Jesus said, “I am the living bread which came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he shall live forever” (v. 51). Then He went on to say, “As the living Father has sent Me and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also shall live because of Me” (v. 57). Any believer who eats the Lord Jesus as the bread of life will live by Him. When we eat this bread of life, He comes into us to be digested by us and to be assimilated into us organically. This is the only way the Triune God can become our life. The Triune God becomes our life supply and our life by entering into us organically to be assimilated into the very fibers of our spiritual being. (Life-study of Mark, p. 383, by Witness Lee)
