In the Word as a Realm of Light we Become Light in the Lord with the Fruit of Light

In the Word as a realm of light, we become light in the Lord (Eph. 5:8), we walk as children of light and have the fruit of the light in goodness, righteousness, and truth (Eph. 5:9), and we experience the kingdom as the shining of the reality of the Lord Jesus (Matt. 16:28—17:2).Because of the fall of man, mankind today is in darkness, and without God shining through His living word, we would remain in darkness, in the “dark ages”. But praise the Lord for the word of God, the embodiment of God as light!

As believers in Christ we are children of light: we have seen Christ as light in His word, and we have received Him as the light of the world. Now we are also light in the Lord – we were once darkness, but now we have Christ in us as the light and we are light in the Lord. As children of light we should have a daily walk that expresses the fruit of the light in goodness, righteousness, and truth (Eph. 5:8-9).

Because God is light and He has come into us as light, we are children of light – we are becoming the same as God in His expression, we are becoming the light of the world! Christ shines on us, in us, and through us, and we are in the realm of the divine light; our daily light and living should be in the light, and as the Lord shines, we are brought into God’s kingdom – which is a realm of light. Praise the Lord!

In the Word as a Realm of Light we become Light in the Lord and have the Fruit of Light

Eph. 5:8-9 For you were once darkness but are now light in the Lord; walk as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth).Christ came as the light of the world; in Him was life, and the life was the light of men (John 1:16; 8:12). When He came, light came; the people in the darkness saw a great light arise when the Lord Jesus came. His words contained life, and this life was the light of men. When we open our heart to the Lord and receive the Lord’s word, we are brought into a realm of light. In this realm of light, the kingdom of God, we are children of light; we have the light of life, and we become light in the Lord. Just as Christ was the light of the world, so we are becoming the light of the world by being in the Word of God as a realm of the divine light.

In the Word as a realm of light, we walk as children of light and have the fruit of the light in goodness, righteousness, and truth (Eph. 5:8-9). We were once not only in darkness but darkness itself, but now we are not only in the light but light itself in the Lord; therefore, we should walk as children of light.

When we dwell in the Word of God as a realm of life, we walk as children of light, and we will bear fruit. In darkness there are the works of darkness, but in the light we have the fruit of light; light is something organic, of life, and living.

As God is light, so we, the children of God, are children of light (1 John 1:5; John 1:12-13; 12:36). No matter how dark the situation is around us, we are light in the Lord. In the church life we should condemn and banish darkness by enjoying God as light in His word. The fruit of light is related to the Triune God:

  1. Goodness denotes God the Father; the only One who is Good is God (Matt. 19:17). The nature of the fruit of the light is goodness. When we walk in the light, we have as fruit goodness, that is, we express God the Father in His goodness..
  2. Righteousness denotes Christ, the One who has become our righteousness. Christ came to accomplish God’s purpose according to His righteous procedure (Rom. 5:17-18, 21). He has accomplished all according to God’s righteousness, He has become our righteousness, and He is making us God’s righteousness in Him.
  3. Truth refers to the Spirit of reality, God the Spirit (John 14:17; 1 John 5:6). The Spirit guides us into all the reality of what God is, and the Spirit makes God and Christ real to us. When we walk in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and we enjoy all that God is being made real to us by the Spirit.

The fruit of the light which we should bear in our daily living as children of light should be goodness, righteousness, and truth. If we walk in the light by enjoying Christ as the light of the world in His living word as a realm of light, we bear the fruit of light, we become light in the Lord, and we shine as the light of the world.

Lord Jesus, keep us enjoying You in Your word as a realm of light so that we may become light in the Lord. We want to walk as children of light and have the fruit of the light in goodness, righteousness, and truth. Lord, keep shining on us, in us, and through us until we are daily walking in the light, bear the fruit of the light, and shine as light in the world. Praise the Lord, we are children of light and we are becoming light in the Lord for others to see God being manifested in us as light!

In the Word as a Realm of Light we Experience the Kingdom as the Shining of the Lord

In the Word as a realm of light, we experience the kingdom as the shining of the reality of the Lord Jesus. The kingdom is the Lord Jesus shining over us, and the kingdom is the spreading of the Lord Jesus by shining over us. Witness LeeIn Matt. 16:28-17:2 the Lord Jesus took three of His disciples on the mountain and was transfigured before them; His face shined like the sun, and His garments became as white as the light. He gave His disciples a glimpse of the kingdom of God, which is the shining of the Lord Jesus.

The kingdom of God is characterized by light, the shining of God as light. In the kingdom of God there’s no darkness; here God shines, and everything and everyone is in the light. In the Word as a realm of light we experience the kingdom as the shining reality of the Lord Jesus (Mark 9:1).

Whenever we come to God’s word with a pure heart and a proper attitude, we experience the kingdom as the shining reality of the Lord Jesus. In the kingdom of God we are ruled by God, we are under His heavenly rule, and we dwell in the light – light rules and reigns in us.

As we spend more and more time with the Lord in His word, the kingdom grows in us, and the Lord’s shining increases in us; the result is that Christ shines in us, through us, and out of us.

The kingdom is the Lord Jesus shining over us, and the kingdom is the spreading of the Lord Jesus by shining over us. This kingdom should be the church life today. In the church life we need to experience the Lord’s shining over us, in us, and through us, so that we may be in the kingdom of God as the spreading of Jesus by shining over us.

We need to spend much time in the Lord’s word to enjoy the shining of the divine light and live in the light so that we may be the children of light having the fruit of the light and experience the kingdom as the shining of the reality of the Lord Jesus!

Lord Jesus, shine over us in all the local churches. Spread Yourself in us by shining over us. Usher us all into this realm of light where we all belong. Lord, may Your reality shine over us, in us, and through us as we enjoy You in Your living word. Praise the Lord, we are in the kingdom of God under the shining of the Lord Jesus, having Him spreading in us by shining over us! Lord Jesus, keep us in Your word as the realm of the divine light until we are fully immersed and constituted with the divine light!
