Having the Increase of Christ Requires that we have the One Accord, the Master Key

Acts 1:14 These all continued steadfastly with one accord in prayer...After seeing the increase of Christ as His continuation in the gospel of John, in the book of Acts, and in the ministering life, this week we are enjoying the increase of Christ for the increase and spread of the church through the one accord with prayer, the Spirit, the word, and the homes.

We need to have the one accord, the master key to all the blessings in the New Testament; once become persons on one accord, we have the unique provision of prayer, the Spirit, and the Word, and we will look to the Lord for the increase of Christ in us and among us. Our living will then be in the homes, enjoying Christ and practicing to pray, enjoy the Spirit, and speak the Word in the homes for the imparting of life.

The one accord is the key: without the one accord it is impossible for us to have the increase of Christ for the building up of the church. How marvelous, humanly untraceable and untouchable the one accord is, yet we can appropriate it and have it as our experience both individually and corporately!

The one accord depends on only one thing, which is the eternal economy of God; this economy is composed in its centrality and universality of the wonderful person of Christ. Christ is God’s economy, and we need to enjoy Him, have the excellent knowledge of Him, and enter into a deeper experience of Him.

As we advance in the subjective experience of Christ, we reach the one accord in which we are so one with Him as our life, person, and everything, that regardless where we live and what our background is, we speak the one thing with one mouth, and the one new man emerges on the earth!

By virtue of the one accord and by touching the one Person in God’s economy, we speak one thing with one heart with one mouth, and the result is the Body of Christ as the fulfillment of God’s economy in His full increase.

Having the Increase of Christ Requires that we have the One Accord, the Master Key

Matt. 18:19 Again, truly I say to you that if two of you are in harmony on earth concerning any matter for which they ask, it will be done for them from My Father who is in the heavens. In order for us to have the increase of Christ for the increase and spread of the church, we must have the one accord. If there’s no one accord, there is no increase of Christ. The Lord aspired in prayer in John 17:21 that we all may be one, so that those who see us may believe and become the increase of Christ.

The applied oneness – the one accord – once is practiced has the result of the increase of Christ. If we mean business with the Lord in His recovery and His up-to-date move, we must take care of one thing: the one accord.

The Greek word for one accord is “homothumadon” composed of “homo” – meaning the same, and “thumos” – meaning mind, will, purpose, with soul and heart. Two different persons can become the same in mind, will, purpose, spirit, soul, heart, and around the soul and heart. It includes bringing two or more into a state of homogenous, being one in a fine way.

This is not merely outward conformity, legislated unity, or something that can be mandated; the one accord is something that arises from the deepest part of our being until it fills our being! Our not remaining in our spirit is our failure to apply the divine oneness; the application of the divine oneness is the one accord.

We can have the one accord by voluntarily returning to the Lord to touch Him in His indwelling in our mingled spirit.

When we touch the Lord, something happens in our being, and as we remain one spirit with the Lord, we have the mind of Christ, His desire, and His will; we eventually reach a point that our soul is no longer in contention with His soul (2 Cor. 2:9; John 7:17; 1 Cor. 6:17; Isa. 1:14).

By coming to Him in our mingled spirit, we become one with Him – we are in one accord with God, and we can be in one accord with anyone else who has a likewise experience.

The landmark that divides the Gospels and the Acts...was the one accord of the one hundred twenty. If you want to experience the baptism in the Spirit, you must have the one accord. If all the members of a local church have the one accord, the baptism in the Spirit will be there. If you really want to practice the proper way to preach the gospel, you need the one accord. Without this key, no door can be opened. The one accord is the “master key to all the rooms,” the master key to every blessing in the New Testament. Witness LeeThe one accord is the master key to every blessing in the New Testament; we need to apply the oneness of the Spirit (which we already have), that is, keep the oneness, and we will practice the one accord (see Acts 1:14; 2:46; 4:24; 5:12; 15:25; Phil. 1:27; Eph. 1:3; Rom. 15:29).

In the beginning of the book of Acts we see the one hundred twenty disciples praying together in one mind, in the same mind, in the same will, and with the same purpose around and within the soul and the heart; the result was that God poured out the promised blessing so that there would be an increase of Christ, the church.

Their entire being was one, and they prayed with one accord; this constituted a landmark between the Gospels and the Acts. If we really want to practice the proper way to preach the gospel, we need the one accord.

If we really want to have the Lord’s blessing, we need to have the one accord. If all the saints in a local church have the one accord, the baptism in the Spirit will be there, and Christ will have an increase. The one accord is really the “master key to all the rooms”, the master key to every blessing in the New Testament.

However, if we lose the one accord, we also lose the Lord’s blessing; as we read the book of Acts we see that this one accord has been lost, but whenever the one accord was there, the Lord poured out His blessing and there was a great increase.

Today we are in the Lord’s new move, and our crucial need today for us to have the increase of Christ is to have the one accord.

Lord Jesus, we want to be those who mean business with You in Your recovery and Your up-to-date move by taking care of the one accord. May we experience and enjoy the one accord today so that we may have access to all the blessings of God’s New Testament economy! Save us from not having the one accord or from losing the one accord. Keep us touching You as the Spirit in our spirit so that we may be in one accord with You and in one accord with the saints for the Lord’s increase and move on earth today!

To have the One Accord we need to Care for God’s Eternal Economy with Christ as the Center

The one thing that should be focused on, stressed, and ministered in the Lord’s recovery is the eternal economy of God (1 Tim. 1:3-4). The content of God’s eternal economy is Christ; actually, Christ Himself in His full ministry of three stages is the divine economy (John 1:14; 1 Cor. 15:45b; Rev. 1:4; 3:1; 4:5; 5:6). God’s desire is to have a recovery purely and wholly of the person of Christ (Col. 1:17b, 18b; 2 Cor. 12:2; 2:10; 3:3). Witness LeeHow can we have the one accord? According to the revelation in the Bible, in order for us to have the one accord we need to care for ONE THING: God’s eternal economy with Christ as the centrality and universality (see Col. 3:10-11).

The one thing, the unique thing, in the Lord’s recovery is God’s eternal economy with Christ as its center and universe. God’s eternal economy is His household arrangement to increase Christ by dispensing Himself in Christ into us, His people, to bring forth the church as the Body of Christ.

God’s economy is to go on until all the ones in the new man receive more of Christ and until He is all in all for the new man. The dispensing of God in His economy is of Himself in Christ as the Spirit to be our life and make us the increase of Christ.

We are His pure lovers and He is our bridegroom (Matt. 25:1); the One in our spirit is the most attractive and delightful Person – He fills the universe, He drew us to Himself, and now we love Him and want to be filled with Him!

Because we love Him, we focus on only one thing: the eternal economy of God; the one thing that we should focus on, stress, and minister in the Lord’s recovery is the eternal economy of God (1 Tim. 1:3-4).

The whole Bible is like a big portrait with many details, but the main figure in the Bible is Christ Himself; we need to see that God in Christ as the Spirit seeks to bring us forth as His increase, the church. The central figure of the Bible is the mingling dispensing economy of God, in which he mingles Himself with us for the increase of Christ.

The content of God’s economy is Christ; actually, Christ Himself in His full ministry of three stages IS the divine economy (see John 1:14; 1 Cor. 15:45b; Rev. 1:4; 3:1; 4:5; 5:6).

Christ in His person and work is the content of God’s economy to which we need to give all our attention to until he becomes everything to us; we need to allow Him to rise in our being to make us one with Him, thus being in one accord with Him and with the saints.

Before we were saved our being was in the satanic chaos, but when we opened to the Lord and received Him, we entered into the divine economy where Christ is everything to us. We need to touch Christ, be joined to Him, enjoy Him, and be in His economy so that we may be in one accord.

God’s intention is to have a recovery purely and wholly of the Person of Christ. God’s desire is to have a recovery of the Triune God dispensed into His redeemed people, so that He would become their being, and that this would issue into the church life. This means that such a church life is a golden lampstand, the very embodiment of the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. We must realize that the Lord’s recovery is just the Triune God dispensed into His redeemed people. (W. Lee, Concerning the Lord’s Recovery, p. 83)

How can we have the one accord? It is by paying attention solely to God’s economy with Christ as the unique Person in God’s economy. We need to be related to the Lord personally, affectionately, and continually; we need to touch Him, derive our thoughts and feelings from Him, and be one in soul and person with Him.

Christ is before all things, He has the first place in all things, and we need to be persons in Christ (Col. 1:17-18; 2 Cor. 12:2; 2:10; 3:3).

We need to be so involved with Christ as the centrality and universality of God’s economy that we are in one accord with Him, those living in the face of Christ, treasuring His countenance, and living, walking, and having our being in the one accord.

Lord Jesus, may we focus on, stress, and care for only one thing in Your recovery: the eternal economy of God! Hallelujah, the content of God’s economy is just Christ: He is the centrality and universality of God’s eternal economy! Amen! Lord, we want to be so one with You, joined to You, and involved with You that we are fully delivered out of the satanic chaos and brought fully into the divine economy to be in one accord with God and with man. Amen, Lord, gain the one accord among us by our caring for the one thing: God’s eternal economy with Christ as the center!

The landmark that divides the Gospels and the Acts…was the one accord of the one hundred twenty. This is why Paul told Euodias and Syntyche that they needed this one accord (Phil. 4:2). Paul knew that these sisters loved the Lord but that they had lost the one accord.

Philippians tells us that this matter starts from our spirit (1:27), yet we must realize we are not persons of spirit only….For us to be in the same one spirit with the same one soul, one mind, and one will is to have the one accord, which is the key to all the New Testament blessings and bequests. (Elders’ Training, Book 7: One Accord for the Lord’s Move, pp. 18-19, by Witness Lee)

Grant grace upon grace lord Jesus that you could have the one new man of the fathers plan. Give us the experience of the upper room. Lord turn the age in the same way you brought in the pouring out at Pentecost
