Psalm 2 in the light of God’s systems of grace and of government(2) – Kiss the Son! Love the Lord!

Psalm 2 in the light of God's systems of grace and of government(2) - Kiss the Son! Love the Lord! [picture source: flickr, Love the Lord Your God]This is a continuation of the sharing on Psalm 2 – going through Psalm 2 in the light of the two systems of God – the system of grace and the system of government. You can read the first part of this sharing – the first part of Psalm 2 – via, The Nations are in Open Rebellion.

In the first part, we see that the entire earth is in an open rebellion to God – all the nations, all the rulers of the nations, and everything! This sounded unbelievable 20 years ago, but the laws that are being passed today allow and encourage immorality, same-sex marriage, fraud, and all kinds of evil things to be performed.

This is all prophesied and spoken of in Psalm 2:1-7 – but even though the nations are in such an uproar, God has already installed His King! Christ has been begotten by God in His resurrection and He has been installed as King over the whole earth!

v. 8 Ask of Me, And I will give the nations as Your inheritance And the limits of the earth as Your possession.

The Lord needs just to ask of the Father, and He will give both the nations and the earth as His possession!

We as believers who are being brought under God’s system of government today little by little need to be those one with Christ asking this of God, Father, give all the nations as an inheritance to Christ!

Give all the ends of the earth as a possession to Your King, Christ! Saints, Christ will inherit all the nations, including Saudi Arabia, Russia, China, Afganistan, Irak, Iran, all the countries in Eastern Europe and Western Europe, USA, Canada, and all the other nations! No matter how rebellious or rejecting the people are, no matter how soft or hot they may be in their temper, Christ is the King and all the nations are His inheritance!

v. 9 You will break them with an iron rod; You will shatter them like a potter’s vessel.

today the Lord rules and reigns within us as a King in life, mainly by shepherding us and directing us subjectively, seeking our cooperation. But if today we give our best cooperation to the Lord to be under His rule and reign, when He returns to rule over the nations He will rule with an iron rod!

In order for so many rebellious ones to be obedient to the law of God and His commandments, the iron rod needs to be used! Today in the age of grace we learn to be under His rule and reign by being strengthened within with the proper and sweet enjoyment of Christ, but on that day we will be one with Christ to shatter the nations and rule them with an iron rod! There won’t be any “politics” and “negotiation” – everyone will have to obey God and confess His name!

v. 10 Now therefore, O kings, be prudent; Take the admonition, O judges of the earth.

Many people may comment or play politics, may criticize or “give a different opinion” on what is going on, but the best thing to do is to be prudent, take the admonition, learn, and even submit to this One.

v. 11 Serve Jehovah with fear, And rejoice with trembling.

The advice today for everyone is simply to be prudent and serve God with trembling, according to the revelation He gave to each one. Everyone knows God and needs to serve Him.

v. 12 Kiss the Son Lest He be angry and you perish from the way; For His anger may suddenly be kindled. Blessed are all those who take refuge in Him.

This is the system of grace, which is for the system of government – kiss the Son of God! We in ourselves cannot and will not submit to God’s government; rebellion is part of our being, an intrinsic part of our constitution!

Even as believers, we cannot submit to God from ourselves and by ourselves – as much as we would like to! We need to kiss the Son – spend intimate time with the Lord to enjoy Him, kiss Him, and love Him with our whole being!

The best thing we can do right now for the furtherance of God’s recovery of the earth for His government is to kiss the Son, to love unashamedly the lovable and kissable Jesus in the divine romance! You can’t submit to God’s throne, and you don’t even want to – but as He comes to you in your time with Him, love Him more and more! Open to Him, tell Him dearly,

Lord Jesus, I love You!

The more we open to Him and enjoy Him as grace, the more we turn to the Lord to touch Him personally, the more we allow Christ to kiss us with the kisses of His mouth (Song of Songs 1:1) – the more we enjoy Christ in the system of grace, the more we yield to Him in our being that He may rule and reign in us.

We just enjoy Christ, we just kiss the Son, we just open to Him in love – and He advances His kingdom in us! Only by being under God’s system of grace – where we enjoy all that He did for us and all that Christ is to us – can we be brought slowly and bit by bit under God’s system of government!

We take refuge in Him – we hide in Him! No, we can’t do it on our own, we just hide in the Lord. What a wonderful way to be saved from rebellion and be brought under God’s rule and authority! [sharing inspired from the Psalms 2 and message 2 on the Crystallization-Study of Psalms]

Lord, we love You! We just want to kiss You! We open to You in love this morning to spend time with You and enjoy You! You are our first love, dear Lord, and we want a personal touch with You right now. Thank You for showing us again and again that we can’t make it, we can’t be it, and we can’t do it! But, Lord, do it in us! We just want to cooperate with the living and loveable Christ in us! We want to allow You to make Your home in all our heart and strengthen us into our inner man! Bring us under Your government little by little through our daily and continual enjoyment of You!
