Our God is working continually and will never stop; the book of Acts does not have an end because today we live in the continuation of Acts, seeking to be God’s vessels whom He can fill and the instruments He can use for His work until He obtains what He’s after, the New Jerusalem! Amen!
This week we start a new Morning Revival book with the general title of, One Accord and Crucial Aspects of the Book of Acts. This first week, our topic is, The Continuation of the Book of Acts – the Corporate Continuation of Christ.
Hallelujah, we today live in the continuation of the book of Acts, for we are the corporate continuation of Christ on the earth in this age!
In the book of Acts, we see not only what the disciples of Jesus did, where they went, what they preached, how did they raised up churches, and what persecutions they suffered as they went on missionary journeys.
In a sense, this is what you read about, for there are a lot of details, events, and situations; however, in the most intrinsic sense, what we see in the book of Acts is the continuation of Christ.
The Christ who is God incarnated to be a man in the Gospels did not just die on the cross and then be raised to the heavens; in the book of Acts, He poured Himself out as the Spirit upon the disciples, and He continued to live in them. Now the disciples of Christ are the continuation of Christ.
Instead of having one Jesus, now there are many little Jesus, many disciples of Christ, who continue the same kind of living and work that the Lord did when He was on the earth.
We need to see not only the outward human history with all the events, circumstances, important people, and key things that happened, but even more, we need to see the universal history according to God’s eternal economy.
There is the divine history which takes place within human history. On the one hand, there are many things happening in the outward human history, and it is easy to be preoccupied with these events, trying to navigate them, know them, and understand them.
But on the other hand, God is doing something behind the scenes, as revealed in His word, in order for Him to carry out His economy to obtain a corporate expression for Himself.
We believers in Christ have been transferred into the divine history within the human history when we believed into the Lord Jesus; now we live in the divine history, we write the divine history, and Christ in us makes history, for only what He does, speaks, and expresses through us is the divine history.
God has Been Working until Now and the Lord is Also Working: God’s Work is Continuing and has not Stopped
The book of Acts concludes with Acts 28:31, which says, Proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness, unhindered. This is not the end of the book of Acts; it is the last verse, but it doesn’t show that this book ends here.
The book of Acts does not have an ending; it is a book without an ending because this book is still being continued. Yes, the acts of the first-century apostles have ended, but the book of Acts as a whole has not yet ended.
Just as Christ lived in the Gospels and walked among people physically, so He lived and walked and worked among people and from within His disciples in the book of Acts.
Furthermore, He is still living and walking and working from within His believers in Christ all throughout the ages.
John 5:17 gives us the key to this, for here the Lord says, My Father is working until now, and I also am working. This shows that, since the rebellion of Satan and the fall of man, God has been working until now; also, the Lord Jesus is working.
The book of Acts is not the record of the acts of Peter, John, James, or Paul; it is a record of the work of God. God is the One who is working, and His work is continuing and has not stopped.
If you don’t believe this, look around you and even look at yourself: isn’t God working in you and in the saints in the church life? Aren’t we so glad that the Lord is still working in us and on us?
He has a purpose, an eternal economy, and He will not stop working until He accomplishes what is on His heart! Yes, He worked through Peter and then through Paul, but God never stopped working.
The Apostle Paul worked in Rome for two years, and he lived there and was later martyred; none of these things were recorded in the book of Acts. Similarly, Peter and John worked and lived and did many things, yet none of their endings were recorded in Acts.
We cannot say that the book of Acts has ended, for the testimony of God can never be finished.
Even if this book had one hundred chapters, the work of God still continues, for God has been working until now, and the Lord is also working. New things can always be added to the divine history within the human history in the book of Acts.
The work God did in the first century was wonderful, but it was not the peak; the work God did last year was very good, but it was still not the peak.
God keeps advancing, for He is always working to obtain His corporate expression on the earth, the Body of Christ in this age consummating in the New Jerusalem in the next age.
May we not assume that God’s work reached its peak at the time of Paul, or maybe at the time of Martin Luther or another person used by God in history. His work did not peak in the first century or in the sixteenth century; His work is going on.
Even last century was not the end of God’s work; He is continually working and will work tirelessly until He accomplishes what is in His heart.
Our God is always working. He is always advancing. He never stops. May we see this and may we be encouraged. We may have failed today, but God never stops; He keeps working in us.
The church may be in degradation today and not many overcomers seem to be produced; however, God is still working.
The Father is working until now and the Lord Jesus is always working. God’s work will go on until the new heaven and the new earth, until He gains the New Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
Lord Jesus, thank You for coming into us to work in us and cause us to live in the divine history within the human history. Hallelujah, we are now in the continuation of the book of Acts, for God is working in us and even through us! We open to You, Lord. May we see that the Father God is working until now and that Christ is also working. Hallelujah, God is always working! Praise the Lord, He is always advancing. Thank You, Lord, nothing can stop our God until He’s done! Work in us, Lord, and work around us to fulfil Your eternal economy. We give ourselves to You for Your eternal purpose to be fulfilled in us. Thank You that we can be here, in the church life, allowing You to work in us, work Yourself into us, and work through us. Praise the Lord, our God will go on until the kingdom and until the new heaven and new earth, for He wants to gain a corporate expression of Himself, the New Jerusalem! Amen, Lord, we believe this and we praise You!
Many of God’s Vessels are still Carrying On with God’s Work, one with God for the Accomplishing of His Economy
The book of Acts is a record of the work of God; though the Lord Jesus was no longer physically among people on the earth, He was within His disciples as the Spirit to continue His work on the earth. Amen!
Peter, John, and Paul did not just do things in themselves or for themselves; rather, they were one with God, being God’s vessels in that age whom He could use to carry out His work.
Today we live at the end of this age, and many times we think that this is the worst situation there has ever been.
Man always has the misconception that his age is the worst age of the church; especially if you love the Lord and you want to be one of God’s vessels who are still carrying out God’s work one with God, you realise how much degradation and corruption there is in this age.
At the time of Martin Luther and at the time of John Wesley, it was the same; many in those ages considered their age as being the worst age of the church, so they gave themselves to the Lord to be one with Him for what He wanted to do in that age.
However, looking back over the ages, we today realise that the time of Martin Luther and the time of John Wesley was a wonderful time, but we consider our age to be the worst age of the church.
On the one hand, the outward human history is coming to its worst; corruption, immorality, and evil are worse and worse every age. On the other hand, the divine history within the human history is still going on, and many of God’s vessels are still carrying on with God’s work, one with God.
We today live in the continuation of the book of Acts, which is the continuation of Christ with the corporate living of the perfected God-men as the reality of the Body of Christ (Acts 28:31).
What God wants to gain today is the reality of the Body of Christ, a corporate group of God-men who live Christ and are perfected to magnify Him on the earth.
As in Paul’s time, we need to be God’s vessels today who are proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness, unhindered. Amen!
Our God is always advancing, always moving on, and always working. Every year, God knows what He is doing, and He knows how much He will work. We may think that God needs to do this or change that, but He is the One who initiates the work, and He is simply looking for some vessels.
Every time God wants to advance, He needs some vessels open to Him, He finds some vessels who cooperate with Him.
In the book of Acts, God found some vessels; He used Peter, John, Paul, and many others who were open and willing to cooperate with God. At the time of Martin Luther, God found a vessel, and at the time of John Wesley, He also found a vessel.
At the time of Watchman Nee, God found a vessel, and He could continue His work, even advance in a wonderful way. At the time of Witness Lee, God found a vessel, and He could speak and open up the word of God in a marvellous manner.
Every time there’s a spiritual revival, God finds some vessels.
As in Isaiah’s time, God is looking for a vessel, someone who knows he’s unclean and living among a people of unclean lips, but who gives himself to the Lord to be one of God’s vessels He could fill and use in that age.
If we give ourselves to Him for what He wants to do today, God will purify our lips and heart, and He will fill us; He wants vessels to fill and then flow from them (Isa. 6:5-8).
The Father is working until now, the Lord Jesus is also working, and who today continues to work together with the Lord? Who can say, I am also working?
This doesn’t mean that we need to do lots of things for God to “help God” in this age; rather, we need to see that God is working, Christ is working, and we can be one of God’s vessels working with Him today.
Even as the New Jerusalem, His slaves will serve Him as priests (Rev. 22:3; Acts 13:36).
Today, we want to be those who answer God’s call inwardly, opening to Him and asking Him to make us one of the vessels He needs to fill and flow through in this age.
God is always advancing, and we want to be one of God’s vessels who work together with Him, one with Him, serving Him; this service is a preparation for us to serve Him as priests in the New Jerusalem! Praise the Lord!
Lord Jesus, we give ourselves to You today for Your purpose! We love You, Lord, and we just open to You. We want to be one of God’s vessels who cooperate with Him for His work in this age. Hallelujah, after Acts 28 many of God’s vessels are still carrying on with God’s work! Praise the Lord, God’s work is continuing and has not stopped! Amen, Lord, continue Your work in us. Continue Your work in the church. Gain in us what You are after. Gain the corporate expression of Yourself in the church! Amen, Lord, gain a corporate living of the perfected God-men who live by the divine life to express God corporately on the earth! Oh Lord, gain the reality of the Body of Christ, the matured overcomers who will end this age and will bring You back! We give ourselves to You today, Lord, for You to gain what You are after in us and through us in this age. We are not qualified, Lord, and we are impure and unclean, but we open to You and we give ourselves to You for You to gain what You are after!

Dear brother, we today are in the continuation of the book of Acts, for the Father is working until now, and Christ is also working! God is always working, always moving, and always continuing to do what He wants to do until He obtains the New Jerusalem!
May we be the vessels open to Him today and the instruments whom He can use for what He wants to do in this age!
May we not look at the dark age today but open to the Lord and tell Him,
Amen! Lord we want to open vessels. God is always advancing, and His work will go on until the kingdom and even until the new heaven and new earth.
We need to be those who cooperate with the Lord as open vessels so that we can say to the Lord ‘I also am working’.
Amen brother
Amen brother. The question is: who will work together with God in this age? Hallelujah!
God always finds at least one vessel who has a heart to work with Him. May we not relinquish our crown.
May we with all boldness cooperate with the always advancing God and advance in oneness with Him.
No matter how difficult the outward environment may seem, God is still advancing and we need to see this.
I believe Joseph saw this during all his years of slavery & imprisonment. May we be dreamers like Joseph.
Amen, God’s is always advancing and the Lord is always working too. His work will go on until the kingdom and the new heaven and earth, Hallelujah!
He keeps advancing. His vessels carry on His work,
Whenever there is spiritual revival, there is a vessel for God to continue His work.
Brother, The book of Acts is a record of the work of God. Who can say that God has done no work after Acts 28? God’s work has been going on after this chapter. HIS acts and testimony can never be finished!
His work will go on until the kingdom and even until the new heaven and the new earth. God is always advancing; He never stops. Man will stop, but God never stops. Every day, every year, God is a God who keeps on advancing!
Every time God advances (as in the Book of Acts), every time there’s a spiritual revival, God finds some vessels. Jesus said My father is working until now, and I’m also working. (Jn5:17).
May the Lord make us those who continue working together with Him with boldness unhindered!

What a mercy to see that the book of Acts is the continuation of the work of God and today God is still working and advancing to gain His corporate expression.
We also see that as God’s vessels, we are His continuation, proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ!
