being a Christian student on the Campus – so sweet to start uni with the saints in the church life!

being a Christian student on the Campus - so sweet to start uni with the saints in the church life! [in the picture: LSE, London]My first term in university was a huge struggle – this was because I had no previous academic background in my course, so almost everything taught was new to me. Hence, I was barely surviving each passing week, struggling to float with my nose just above the water.

However, the Lord’s grace has always been sufficient for me. It is during those hard times that I had to turn to the Lord and to the saints for the sustaining life supply. Thank You Lord for being so approachable and subjective to us!

We can take Him as our moment by moment supply by turning to the One who is living in our spirit!

I can testify that it is during trials and sufferings that we enjoy and experience more of the Lord and His grace becomes so rich to us. I found that my Bible readings became more enjoyable.

I “chewed on the Word” and “extracted the life juice from the Word” – the Word of God is so sweet and juicy! I was richly nourished. As I enjoy more of Him, I find that I cannot survive without Him! John 6:57 became my experience: “As the living Father has sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also shall live because of Me.”

Also, the saints are such a joy to be with. By coming to the UK to study, I left my family behind… but I am comforted by the divine love of the saints. Every time I go to the meetings, I am saved!

All my troubles disappear, and as a dear sister puts it: “I am reborn!” What a marvelous start to my uni life, in the splendid church life! Praise the Lord! [sharing by sister N. – a Christian student on the campus – from her first semester of studying in London, UK]

This semester has been so enjoyable. This has been my first semester at uni and at the same time in the church life – and the difference is so big! I know that I have a solid support network and the more I focus on the Lord, the less I worry and the more I enjoy my lessons. The best part is the saints.

They support me in every way, they help me with my work, they cheer me up when I’m down, they entertain me when I’m bored and when I feel as if I have very little to offer. This semester I’ve also been part of a group reading the Bible together at lettheword.com, and that has made a huge difference.

Now I can see God’s economy for myself and things that baffled me when I first joined now make sense. Being a student in the church life is such an advantage and an enjoyment – I wouldn’t have it any other way.
