Christ as the Center of God’s Move on the Earth: Let God arise, and let His enemies be scattered!

Christ as the Center of God's Move on the Earth: Let God arise, and let His enemies be scattered! This week in the morning revival we come to Psalm 68, a psalm in God’s economy showing us Christ as the Center of God’s Move on the Earth. Our God is a moving God, and His move today is in man.

The way He does things and the way He moves is in the principle of incarnation – He doesn’t do much apart from man. This is why today we need to learn to give Him our full cooperation and allow Him to have more ground in our being every day. Hallelujah, today God moves in man and through man!

God’s move in the tabernacle with the ark

In the Old Testament, God selected a particular people to be His people – and He moved through them among the nations. God brought His people Israel to Mount Sinai and gave them the law, and it was there that He charged Moses to build the tabernacle with the ark, the incense altar, the lampstand, the showbread table, the altar, and all the other utensils.

God wants to move among and through His people, but they are sinful – therefore, they need an altar to take care of their sins!

Also, they need to be supplied with the bread of the presence, they need to walk in God’s light – a spiritual light – and they need to have the incense altar for them to pray to the Lord. The tabernacle was the place of God’s move – when the tabernacle was moving, the people of Israel were moving. God’s presence was in the tabernacle, and He led His people through the tabernacle.

God’s move in Christ as the real tabernacle

The tabernacle in the Old Testament was a picture of Christ as the real tabernacle – the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us (John 1:14) full of grace and reality.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the real tabernacle as the incarnated God – God dwells in Him for His move on the earth. In the New Testament, God’s move on earth for His New Testament economy began with the incarnation of Christ, the real tabernacle of God on earth. God doesn’t live and move in some physical tent, but in a human being, the person of Christ.

Let God arise, and let His enemies be scattered!

Psalm 68:1 is quoted by Moses in Num. 10:35 – whenever the tabernacle with the ark set out, Moses said, “Rise up, O Jehovah, and let Your enemies be scattered; and let those who hate You flee before You”.

God moved through the tabernacle with the ark, and without the tabernacle He didn’t move. When Christ came, God moved in Christ and through Christ, and without Christ God didn’t move. The center of God’s move on earth is Christ – He was, is, and will be the tabernacle of God with the ark and all the utensils!

God’s move in the tabernacle with the ark was from mount Sinai (Psa. 68:8b, 17b) through the wilderness (vv. 4b, 7b) to Mount Zion (v. 16) – this was a type of His move in Christ from the incarnation to the ascension (John 1:17; Eph. 4:8-10).

Today God is still moving on the earth through the church, and He is moving with Christ as the center of the church (1 Tim. 3:15-16; Psa. 68:4, 7). Christ is the center of the church – and God moves in Christ!

God’s move in man is to deify man!

God’s move today is in man – He moves in Christ to come into man and move in man. God’s move in man is to deify man – to make man the same as He is in life and in nature, but not in the Godhead (1 Cor. 15:45b; Rom. 8:10, 6, 11). The destination of the journeying Triune God is not mount Zion but our human spirit! The Triune God lives in our spirit! The ark is Christ as the presence of the Triune God – and He is in us today!

[sharing inspired from the life-study of Psalms and the life-study of Job, as quoted in the Morning Revival on the Crystallization-Study of Psalms (1) .Intro: God moves in man.]

Let God arise – and let all those who hate Him flee and be scattered! Lord, have a free way to move in man today! Make Your home in all our heart, and have a way to move through us and in us! Fill us with Your concern and Your thoughts for God’s economy. Save us from usurping God or forcing God for our own safety, rest, peace, and profit! We see Your profit, Your rest, Your satisfaction! Make us persons according to Your heart and for Your economy with Christ as the center of God’s move on earth!

the destination of the journeying Triune God is not just Mount Zion – it is our spirit! The Triune God stepped out of eternity and onto the bridge of time, and then crossed the bridge of time through incarnation, human living, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension! Then, in His ascension, He went up to the height of the universe – Mount Zion! He now is at the right hand of God!

And He also is in our spirit! Hallelujah, Christ dwells in our spirit and makes our whole being life! The destination of the journeying Triune God is our human spirit! Praise the Lord for our spirit – it is here that the Triune God lives!

Stefan,

I enjoyed your digestion of today's morning revival. It's surely a great way to let the word of Christ dwell in you richly and prepare to prophesy for the building up of the church.
