Experience Christ as the One in whom All Treasures of Wisdom and Knowledge are Hidden

In whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden. Col. 2:3

All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ as the mystery of God; only God is wise, only He has the highest knowledge, and all knowledge and wisdom are in Christ.

In particular, there’s so much wisdom and knowledge related to the history of God, the “stories” of God in Christ. Christ is the mystery of God, and He is the history of God, for the whole “story” of God is in Christ and is Christ.

On one hand God is self-existent, ever-existent, without beginning and without end; on the other hand, in His economy He passed through a process in Christ, and His history is Christ.

Christ’s goings forth are from the ancient times, and He is still going forth today.

In a mysterious yet very wise way, God became a man; He wasn’t incarnated just like that one day, but He was conceived in the womb of a virgin and was born to be a man, even a lowly man.

In His human living Christ lived a mysterious life, yet He displayed the treasures of God’s wisdom and knowledge; He lived a normal human life, yet He expressed God in His human living.

Even more, in His human living and in His work on earth Christ spoke so many wise things; just read the gospels of Matthew and John and you will see the highest philosophy, ethics, morality, and human knowledge.

He didn’t just speak things to help others live a better life; He came to bring in the kingdom of God, which is something deep and spiritual.

Through His words and works, Christ expressed God and lived a perfect human life, manifesting God among man.

He seemed to be a common man, and many around Him knew Him as the son of the carpenter in Nazareth, but all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge were hidden in Him.

As part of the story of God, Christ went to the cross willingly, and His death was like no other: He brought to the cross all the negative things and people, and He terminated them there.

Furthermore, on the cross Christ accomplished redemption for us, for He as the righteous One was offered on behalf of the unrighteous.

He died as the Lamb of God, the reality of the bronze serpent, the unique sinner in God’s eyes, the One who took all the sins of the world on Him, and as such a One He had an all-inclusive and all-terminating death.

In His resurrection Christ as the mystery of God in whom all treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden – this One became a life-giving Spirit, He regenerated the many believers in Christ to make them the many sons of God and the many members of the Body, and He Himself became the Firstborn Son of God in His humanity.

Then in His enthronement Christ as the mystery of God brought man into God, and He was given the highest authority, the highest position, and the highest name. Hallelujah!

In Christ as the Mystery of God All Treasures of Wisdom and Knowledge are Hidden

Which He caused to abound to us in all wisdom and prudence. Eph. 1:8 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of Him. Eph. 1:17In Col. 2:3 we are told that in Christ as the mystery of God all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden. It is not only that wisdom and knowledge are in Christ, but all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him.

Treasures refers to wealth, a storage of wisdom and knowledge. Such a One who is the mystery of God, the all-inclusive, extensive Christ, has within Him a storage, a wealth of wisdom and knowledge.

Today the leaders of the world think they are smart and know how to lead the country; the business leaders think they are wise and know how to control the economy; and scientists think they are so smart and capable to set forth science before man as wisdom and knowledge.

But all these compared to Christ are false wisdom; even more, the wisdom and knowledge of this age seems to be accurate in this age, but in a few years it will be refuted and replaced by more advanced knowledge…and this process goes on and on.

What we human beings think we know and understand today is not real wisdom and knowledge; only Christ has the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden in Him!

Do you really think that our leaders in our country know what to do, how to lead the country and keep it together?

Do you really think that our business leaders and CEOs know how to control the economy and make everything prosperous?

Do you really think that the scientists and philosophers of today really know what they are talking about?

All God has to do is snap His fingers and everything falls apart; He is the all-wise God, and all the wisdom and knowledge as a treasure dwell in Him.

All our human wisdom and knowledge are not dependable; we shouldn’t trust in our own knowledge, our smartness, or our cleverness, for these lead us nowhere.

We have to come to Christ, for only in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Wisdom is related to our spirit, and knowledge is related to our mind (Eph. 1:8, 17).

God Himself is the source of wisdom and knowledge.

In the all-inclusive, extensive Christ as the mystery of God, all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden — Col. 2:3. Wisdom is related to our spirit, and knowledge is related to our mind — Eph. 1:8, 17. God is the unique source of wisdom and knowledge — Rom. 16:27; 11:33. This is the spiritual wisdom and knowledge of the divine economy concerning Christ and the church — Eph. 1:10; 3:9; 5:32. Wisdom and knowledge also refer to all the “stories” of God. All the wisdom and knowledge pertaining to God’s stories are hidden in Christ, who is the mystery of God — Col. 2:2-3. 2019 Thanksgiving Conference, Outline 5He is the only wise God, and according to His wisdom He did everything, including the creation of the universe and of man, the processes that Christ went through, Christ coming to indwell us as the Spirit, His work in our being to make us the same as Christ, and His gaining the Body of Christ to consummate the New Jerusalem.

In His wisdom God works in His divine Trinity into us, His chosen people, to redeem us, sanctify us, and transform us so that we may be fully one with Him, for He desires to mingle Himself with us and make us one with Him for His building, the church as the Body of Christ, the one new man, the bride of Christ, and the New Jerusalem.

What a wise God! Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how untraceable are His ways (Rom. 11:33).

This is the spiritual wisdom and knowledge of the divine economy concerning Christ and the church (Eph. 1:10; 3:9; 5:32).

God has the top wisdom and the top knowledge; in His economy He has sent forth His Son to pass through some processes, and now as the life-giving Spirit He indwells us to be our life and wisdom.

May we see Christ and enjoy Him as the mystery of God, the One in whom all treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden!

We praise You Lord for being the mystery of God, the One in whom all treasures of knowledge and wisdom are hidden! Hallelujah, God is the unique source of wisdom and knowledge, and in the all-inclusive, extensive Christ as the mystery of God, all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden! We praise You Lord for what You are, what You accomplished, and what You spoke; You are truly a wise God, and we cannot fathom or trace the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! Hallelujah!

Experiencing Christ as the Mystery of God, the One in whom All Treasures of Wisdom and Knowledge are Hidden

Before we were saved, no matter how smart we thought we were, we were not wise; once we are saved, however, Christ is in us, and in this One all treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.

All believers in Christ can be wise simply by experiencing Christ as their wisdom.

An example of this is Peter and the early apostles, who were not learned people but who had Christ as the Spirit living in them; when the others listened to them, they were amazed and concluded that they were with Jesus, for they were wise and full of knowledge.

Before we were saved, we were not wise. However, once we are saved, we can experience Christ as our wisdom. All believers should be wise. This is practical. We need to experience Christ as our wisdom in how we spend our time and our money. Christ is real wisdom. When we live by Christ, He is our wisdom. We are not wise when we do not live by Christ or when Christ is unable to live in us. Christ is always in us, but we often do not allow Him to live in us. When Christ lives in us, He becomes our wisdom. CWWL, 1978, vol. 3, “The Recovery of Christ as Everything in the Church,” p. 229We believers in Christ need to experience Christ as our wisdom in all the daily things of our life.

For example, in the way we spend our money, the things that we eat, the way we dress, the way we behave ourselves, the way we talk to others, and the way we relate to others, we need to live Christ, that is, we need to take Christ as our wisdom.

We should not seek to be conformed to this age, we should not try to find wisdom and knowledge in this age related to our living, but we should learn to live Christ.

When we live Christ, we are wise, but we are not wise when Christ is not able to live in us.

Christ is always in us, but do we live Him? Do we live by Christ? Do we allow Christ to live in us? When Christ lives in us, He becomes our wisdom.

If we exercise our spirit and our whole being to contact the Lord, Christ as the life-giving Spirit will saturate our spirit and also our mind, and in experience we will have the wisdom and knowledge that are hidden in Christ.

For example, we as young adults having young children today, we need to learn not to follow the wisdom of the world, the clever talks, the modern philosophy, or the different kinds of teaching.

We need to come back to the true knowledge and wisdom which are in Christ.

There are so many things out there who call themselves wise, but they are false knowledge, bringing in error, and causing people to miss God’s goal. In raising up our children we need to impart the genuine wisdom and knowledge to them.

We need to impart the word of God into their being, for the fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom.

We need to help our children fear God, know God, and read the word of God.

The false knowledge in the world contradicts the Bible and even God Himself in matters such as creation, God making man in His own image, God making them male and female, family, morality, ethics, etc.

We shouldn’t listen to the nonsensical talk out there telling people that “you determine your own gender” or “it is OK to be be in a relationship to someone of the same gender”; all these are nonsense.

We need to come back to the Word of God, for Christ is embodied in His word, and all treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him.

Never allow the things around us, the principles of the society we live in, and the culture to defraud us, our children, and our next generation from the true knowledge.

Lord Jesus, we exercise our whole being to contact You and take You as our life so that You may live in us. We take You as our wisdom, Lord, and we allow You to live in us. We return to You from any so-called wisdom and knowledge in this world, and we just want to live one spirit with You. Lord, be our wisdom in our daily living and in all the things we do. Be our wisdom in raising up our children in the fear of God and in the knowledge of God. Amen, Lord, be our wisdom in imparting the word of God and the knowledge of God into the next generation so that they may grow up knowing God, fearing God, having a proper humanity, and being men of God with the breath of God!
