fleeing Egypt and being delivered from the subjective Pharaoh by keeping the feast!(2011 Poland camp)

fleeing Egypt and being delivered from the subjective Pharaoh by keeping the feast!(2011 Poland camp)Thank You Lord for Your speaking during the recent Poland Camp! May Your Words be rooted in our hearts… I am so thankful to the Lord that I had the privilege to be at the Poland camp this year – to see the younger ones and even the older ones to be enlightened through the Lord’s speaking… The speaking was mainly about the book of Exodus – this book is a book full of pictures that help us to see God’s purpose.

One of the points that really touched me was to see that there is an objective Pharaoh and a subjective Pharaoh… Pharaoh (a picture of Satan) wants to enslave us in Egypt (the world) and to take us away / distract us from feasting on Christ. I think most of us are familiar with this, but to see that there is another aspect of Pharaoh the subjective Pharaoh was new to me.

God wanted His people to have a feast unto Him in the wilderness (Exodus 5:1) but Pharaoh did not want to let them go. Sometimes we ourselves are acting like Pharaoh’s toward others or toward ourselves – this is the subjective Pharaoh. For example a brother is calling me to ask if i will be at the home meeting that night because he wants to be built up with the saints, so I say yes pick me up so we go together.

Then later when the brother arrives I’ll try to convince him to stay with me at home and play basketball together… If I’m acting in this way, I am an Pharaoh to my brother – I am keeping him away from the meeting. This keeping myself and the other one away from the feast is stopping God of having His enjoyment and fulfilling His purpose in and with His people.

Sometimes when I’m “lying to myself” with cheap reasons to stay home and not go to the meeting – I’m a Pharaoh to myself! At those times I am pleasing my self, letting my self rule over my will. We can overcome this easily not by trying ourselves but just by eating Jesus!

O Lord Jesus strengthen us into our inner man so that we will not be deceived by the lies of Your enemy! We want to give You the enjoyment that You are longing for!!!

The Lord has a way to come back if we are the ones who separate ourselves unto Him. Saints, don’t bargain with Pharaoh but be resolute and flee out of Egypt by eating Christ as our Passover!
