God’s Economy is to make Man the Same as He is and Make Man One with Him for His Expression

God’s eternal economy is to make man the same as He is in life, nature, and expression but not in the Godhead and to make Himself one with man and man one with Him, thus to be enlarged and expanded in His expression, that all His divine attributes may be expressed in human virtues. Witness Lee

Both on God’s side and on the side of His seeking ones there has been a yearning for revival throughout the ages. The new revival which we need today is not an emotional stirring or excitement but an inward energizing and revitalisation as a result of our seeing what’s in God’s heart, the eternal economy of God, and of seeing what the real meaning of our human life is and how we should live and work to carry out this realisation.

When we see a vision of God’s economy, we will be inwardly strengthened and energised, and a new revival will come in. This kind of revival has never yet been seen in history; there have been all kinds of awakenings and revivals in church history, but God wants to gain an ultimate revival that will close this age and bring Him back.

We need to enter into this cry for the need for a new revival which will end this age, bring the Lord back, and consummate God’s economy. The foundation for this new revival is the vision; without seeing a vision of God’s economy, the revival is something temporary, something of excitement.

We need to have a clear, definite, solid seeing of a vision of the high peak of the divine revelation, and then we will be inwardly strengthened and energised to enter into the new revival.

Being Captured and Laid Hold of by the Vision of the High peak of the Divine Revelation

Eph. 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of Him.In the Lord’s recovery the Lord has unveiled us to see the high peak of the divine revelation, which is God becoming man to make man God in life and nature but not in the Godhead for God’s corporate expression consummating in the New Jerusalem.

This word has been released since the mid 1990’s through the ministry of brother Witness Lee, but how much have we entered into such a word, and has such as word changed our life and work? We may mentally understand and agree with the high peak of the divine revelation, but what do we do with such a word? Have we yet arrived at such a high peak?

We need to have a stretching forward, not just an understanding. There’s much to be seen, entered into, experienced, and constituted into our being. It’s one thing to see a vision and it is another to be captured, possessed, laid hold of, and grabbed by this vision.

Paul didn’t just see a vision of Christ and the church: he was laid hold of by this vision, and he forgot all the things behind and stretched forward to the Christ before so that he may lay hold of that which has laid hold of him (Acts 26:19). Something grasped Paul and caused a redirection of his whole life.

We need to be captured by the vision of the high peak of the divine revelation to the point that the direction of our life is changed. We want that this vision would lay hold of us, grasp us, and seize us; otherwise we will merely appreciate and agree with this vision, but nothing will happen.

The new revival cannot come merely by our “understanding” and “agreeing” with God’s economy. We need to have a clear vision of God’s economy that lays hold of our being and strengthens us inwardly to pass through everything and sail on until we are brought into this reality.

We don’t want to live an empty and vain day; we want to live daily in the vision of what’s on God’s heart, what is His eternal purpose. The foundation of the new revival is the vision of the highest peak of the divine revelation, and without a clear vision, people run wild and cast off any restraint. When we have a vision of the high peak of the divine revelation, we are governed, controlled, energised, and girded up.

For us to see a vision of the high peak of the divine revelation we need to have the eyes of our heart enlightened (Eph. 1:17). Our heart needs to be attuned and dealt with so that we may see the vision of God’s economy.

Our conscience needs to be purified by the blood of Christ, our emotion needs to be balanced and filled with Christ’s feelings, our will needs to be subdued and aligned to God’s will, and our mind needs to be renewed until it becomes the mind of Christ.

If we have blockages or mixtures in our heart, our vision will be blurred and we will deviate. But when the eyes of our heart is enlightened we can clearly see the vision of God’s economy, and we will appreciate the diamond in the box of the Bible.

When the eyes of our heart are enlightened we will take a good look at all the facts of the diamond in the Bible, we will be fully convinced of the preciousness and purity of this diamond, and we will give our whole being for this.

Lord, enlighten the eyes of our heart that we may see a clear vision of God’s economy, the high peak of the divine revelation. Lord, cleanse us with Your precious blood, renew our mind, subdue our will, and balance our emotions that we may have a clear vision of God’s economy. We want to take a good look at the diamond in the box of the Bible and appreciate its many aspects and facets. Oh Lord, strengthen us within by the vision of Your economy so that we may enter into its reality, living, and work today.

God’s Economy is to make Man the Same as He is and Make Man One with Him for His Corporate Expression

As believers in Christ living in the last age before the Lord’s return we need to be up-to-date with the Lord by knowing and entering into the present truth which is the highest peak of the divine revelation in the Bible.

The Triune God has a heart’s desire (Eph. 1:5, 9), according to which He made His eternal economy (1 Tim. 1:4; Eph. 1:10; 3:9) “to make man the same as He is in life and nature but not in His Godhead, and to make Himself one with man and man one with Him, thus to be enlarged and expanded in His expression, that all His divine attributes may be expressed in human virtues” (W. Lee).

What we see revealed in Bible as the secret hidden from the ages in God’s heart is God’s economy; in His economy God has a good pleasure to dispense Himself into His chosen and redeemed people in His life and in His nature to make them the same as He is to be His duplication to express Him.

In this age, God’s economy produces the church as the Body of Christ, in the next age there will be the wedding feast with all God’s overcomers, and for eternity the New Jerusalem will be the fullness of the Triune God mingling Himself with man.

The entire Bible composed of sixty-six books doesn’t merely speak about history, teachings, prophecies, and types, but it reveals to us the eternal economy of God, which is God’s eternal intention with His heart’s desire to dispense Himself into man and be one with man until man becomes His corporate expression in the universe.

God’s economy is God’s plan, God’s arrangement, for God to dispense Himself in His element, life, nature, and attributes, and all that He has achieved and attained into His chosen people that they may be rebuilt by being constituted with the divine essence in the divine element of the divine source to be something divine. Before receiving God’s dispensing, we were merely human. After God’s rebuilding with the divine constitution we, like the Lord Jesus, become divinely human and humanly divine. Before incarnation Christ was only divine, but after His incarnation He became a God-man, a man with the divine nature. Now He is divinely human, and He is also humanly divine. Having been regenerated by Christ, we have become a part of Him, and now we are the same as He is—divinely human and humanly divine. (Life-study of Job, pp. 57-58)

God predestined us unto sonship according to the good pleasure of His will (Eph. 1:5); even before we were born, God loved us and predestinated us to be His sons. In His good pleasure God doesn’t merely want to “have mercy on the pitiful man”; God’s good pleasure is to be one with man and to make man the same as He is life, nature, and expression, but not in His Godhead.

God is personally and intimately interested in the man He created in His image and according to His likeness: He wants man to be made the same as He is, and then He wants to make this man one with Him as He is one with man, so that in man and through man God would be enlarged, expanded, and magnified to be corporately expressed in the universe.

Wow, what a high view of what the Bible speaks about, and what a glorious vision of the diamond in the box of the Bible!

Thank You Father for predestinating us unto sonship even before the foundation of the world. Hallelujah, we are now not merely pitiful sinners saved by grace but we are God-men, sinners who are saved and in the process of being mingled with God until we become the same as God in life and nature but not in the Godhead. Lord, Your good pleasure is to make us the same as You are: Amen, make us the same as You are and make us fully one with You! Arrange all things and work all things in us and around us according to Your good pleasure!

The Triune God has one heart’s desire (Eph. 1:5, 9). According to His heart’s desire, God made His eternal economy (1 Tim. 1:4b; Eph. 1:10; 3:9) to make man the same as He is in life and nature but not in His Godhead and to make Himself one with man and man one with Him, thus to be enlarged and expanded in His expression, that all His divine attributes may be expressed in human virtues. (Witness Lee, The Ten Great Critical “Ones” for the Building Up of the Body of Christ, p. 14)
