learning to intercede for the Lord’s need in oneness with Him in His heavenly ministry today

learning to intercede for the Lord's need in oneness with Him in His heavenly ministry todayI love both this portion of the Word in Eph. 6:18-19 and the song that contains it:

… Praying at every time in spirit and watching unto this in all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints, and for me, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make know with boldness the mystery of the gospel.

As we have seen, the Lord today is carrying out His heavenly ministry by interceding for us – and He is seeking for a people on the earth that cooperate with Him to intercede for His need, His heart’s desire, His interest. He is at the incense altar, praying for the churches, for the saints, for each one of us.

As for us, instead of considering ourselves all the time and praying for ourselves, we need to learn to pray for others/intercede for others. When this happens, when the Lord opens His heart to us to show us what He is doing today, we will become in experience a real member of the Body of Christ – one with the Head!

This is what we want to learn today, to cooperate with Him in His intercession, even in His way of interceding! He intercedes for His interests & His people in a particular way (not in our natural way or the way we think He should) – we need to learn from Him how to intercede, how to pray.

Very few people can petition the Lord concerning all the saints and for the Lord’s servants. We are mostly occupied with our own situations, family issues, relatives, work and business related issues, or school stuff. We really have to drop our concepts and ideas, turn to our spirit, and care for God’s interest and His heart today.

As we turn to the Lord within, He has a way to infuse what He thinks, what He desires, and what He cares for – into our being. What does God care for today? He cares for His church, His saints, His servants.

If we learn to enter into God by dropping our concepts, turning to our mingled spirit, and caring for God’s desire, we will touch His heart and we will know His interest. In a spontaneous way, we will be motivated by God to intercede – such intercession, issuing from the heart of God, is solid and touches God.

This is also how we know that our prayers will be answered – when we pray one with the Lord for what is on His heart, we know that the Lord will bless His work / respond to our prayers according to Him.

When we ask things for ourselves, many times we don’t have this assurance; we need to learn to be one with the Lord in our asking, praying, and actually in every aspect of our daily living.
