Living Christ by Living in the Divine and Mystical Realm for God’s Expression

1 Cor. 10:31 Therefore whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke are called “synoptic Gospels”, each presenting a human physical view of Jesus Christ as a Man: He is a King-Savior, a Slave-Savior, and a Man-Savior. Long after these gospels were written, John came to present the Lord Jesus as the God-Savior.

John’s gospel is so profound that it had to be composed in simple Greek, with simple words; it is a divine and mystical gospel written by a divine and mystical person to present us a revelation of the divine and mystical realm of the Triune God and of the consummated Spirit and the pneumatic Christ for the building up of the divine and mystical temple of God.

The Lord Jesus was a mysterious person – He was a divine and mystical person; He was a Man in the flesh living a normal human life, but there was something about Him, His words, His doings, and His attitude that was mystical, something that could not be substantiated by the five senses yet had spiritual reality and meaning.

This Christ died and was raised, and in His resurrection, He became a life-giving Spirit to enter into all His believers; when we believe into the Lord, Christ as the Spirit enters into us to be our life, life-supply, and everything, and we enter into the kingdom of God, which is the divine and mystical realm.

From the time of our regeneration our spirit is activated, and through the functions of our fellowship and intuition we can see the kingdom of God, sense God and His heart’s desire, grow in the divine life, and increasingly understand – with the help of our renewed mind set on the spirit (Rom. 8:6) – God’s economy, His eternal purpose, and His heart’s desire.

As believers in Christ, we are God-men: we are not only men but men born of God, children of God to become sons of God by living in spirit and being led by the Spirit, and we are in the process of becoming a corporate God-man, the Body of Christ as the organism of the Triune God for God’s expression in the universe.

This is something divine – since God Himself with His life is in us, living in us, and being everything to us, and at the same time mystical – not just mysterious or spiritual, but mystical because Christ lives in us as we live in the flesh.

We need to have a seeing heart and spirit with a longing to know the divine and mystical things in the same way that God knows them and sees them – to the extent that He has revealed them to us.

Living Christ by Living in the Divine and Mystical Realm for God’s Expression

Col. 3:17 And whatever you do in word or in deed, do all things in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.God’s economy is for God to have a corporate expression in humanity in Christ with His Body; for this, God became flesh, as a Man in the flesh He became a life-giving Spirit, and as the Spirit He enters into us to regenerate us and make us members of the Body of Christ, which is the mystical organism of the Triune God.

The New Testament teaches us that the Father as the source has a desire to have a corporate expression through the Body of Christ, and for this He Himself went through a process and now He is taking His believers through a process that God would become man to make man God in life and nature for the Body of Christ.

Now we as believers in Christ need to simply do one thing: live in spirit. We don’t need to keep the law or live in an ethical, moral, and spiritual way; we simply need to do everything with God, in God, by God, and through God by living in the mingled spirit.

Whether we eat or drink and whatever we do, we should do all things to the glory of God and in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 10:31; Col. 3:17).

We need to realize that we are God-men who should live as divine and mystical persons in a divine and mystical realm. All other people live their life the way they want, doing the things they desire and going to the places they choose, but we should live in the mingled spirit to let another person live in us – let Christ live in us!

The New Testament teaches us, the members of the Body of Christ, to do everything with God, in God, by God, and through God. It does not teach us to love people in an ethical way with our natural love. We have to love others by and with God, in a divine and mystical way. His love is divine, but the outward lover is a mystical human. The Bible teaches us to live as divine and mystical persons. W. Lee, The God-man Living, p. 117We may not be in the spirit constantly, but we can be in the spirit instantly by calling on the name of the Lord, turning our heart to Him, and praying over His Word. When we abide in the Lord, He abides in us, He is with us, and He lives in us; our living will then be divine and mystical but not in a deliberate way but in a spontaneous and effortless way, since Christ lives in us.

Anything that is self-conscious in “living Christ” is false because the divine life and living Christ is spontaneous and effortless. We don’t have to “try to live like a man” – it comes spontaneously because of the human life in us; we don’t have to “try to live like Christ” being guided by “what would Jesus do” or seeking to have a “purpose-driven life”: we simply need to live in spirit and walk according to the spirit, and Christ will live in us a divine and mystical life.

As we live out Christ by living in the divine and mystical realm, the Body of Christ is built up and God is expressed in man for His glory. The Christian life is a life of living Christ by letting Christ live in us a God-man life in the divine and mystical realm for the building up of the Body of Christ, the temple of God, so that God would be expressed in man.

When we live Christ, we are divine yet human – we are not merely human nor merely spiritual, but we are divine and mystical, being one spirit with the Lord, being found in Christ, and having Christ living in us (John 14:16-20).

Live Thyself, Lord Jesus, through us today! We don’t want to try to express You or live an ethical, moral, or spiritual life; we simply want to enjoy You, experience You, be filled with You, and live in the divine and mystical realm by living in the mingled spirit so that You may be expressed through us. Lord, we want to live as divine and mystical persons in the divine and mystical realm today, allowing You to supply us, fill us, and live in us a life for the building up of the Body of Christ.

Living in Spirit and doing Everything in Spirit, enjoying the Blessing of God

The Spirit is the blessing that God promised to Abraham for all the nations and that has been received by the believers through faith in Christ. The Spirit is the compound Spirit... and actually is God Himself processed in His Trinity through incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection, ascension, and descension that we may receive Him as our life and our everything. This is the focus of the gospel of God. Gal. 3:14, footnote 3, RcV BibleMany of the problems in the church life and throughout church history are due to the believers living only in the physical realm, not in the divine and mystical realm. Whenever something happens and whatever we do, we should not be guided by “is this right or wrong” or “is this good or evil” but we should be in spirit: we should live in spirit, do everything in spirit, and walk by the spirit.

We should do everything in God by being in the mingled spirit; we should do everything by God, with God, and through God, even the little things in our daily life (1 Cor. 10:31; Col. 3:17).

As married people, we need to love our spouse not merely with our human love but with the divine love that fills our human love; a husband should love his wife divinely, not merely naturally or even spiritually. When we go shopping or travel to work, while driving or browsing the internet, while using our mobile phone or walking on the street, as we clean the house or do some gardening, in everything we should learn to live in the divine and mystical realm by being in the mingled spirit.

The Lord Jesus as the first God-man did everything by denying Himself, taking the Father as the source, and expressing God instead of expressing Himself; therefore, His reactions, words, attitude, work, and deeds were all mystical as the expression of God in man.

We need to be discipled by the Lord to live in spirit, pray in spirit, speak in spirit, and do everything in spirit, so that, as we live our human life in the physical realm we would simultaneously live in the divine and mystical realm in the spirit.

In the consummated Spirit as the divine and mystical realm we have everything: this Spirit is the blessing of the gospel! In the Spirit we have forgiveness, washing, cleansing, and the Triune God as the processed, all-inclusive life-giving Spirit to be our enjoyment.

In the gospel we have received not only the blessing of forgiveness, washing, and cleansing; even more, we have received the greatest blessing, which is the Triune God—the Father, Son, and Spirit—as the processed, all-inclusive life-giving Spirit dwelling in us in a most subjective way for our enjoyment. Oh, what a blessing that we can enjoy such an all-inclusive One as our daily portion! (Gal. 3:14, footnote 2, Recovery Version Bible)

In the Spirit we receive the blessing of the gospel, the blessing that God promised to Abraham for all the nations and is received by us, the believers in Christ.

In the Spirit we have God, man, humanity, divinity, Christ’s death, His resurrection, His ascension, and all the wonderful aspects of God’s organic salvation such as regeneration, sanctification, renewing, transformation, conformation, building up, and glorification.

Everything is in the Spirit, the consummated Spirit as the divine and mystical realm in which we should live and move. Hallelujah, in the divine and mystical realm we receive the Spirit as the unique all-inclusive blessing (see Gal. 3:14, 2, 5)!

Lord Jesus, save us from merely living in the physical realm taking care of many things in our family life, work life, and church life. Disciple us, Lord, to live in the divine and mystical realm of the consummated Spirit and the pneumatic Christ, that is, to live in the mingled spirit! Lord, we treasure our mingled spirit. Keep us in the spirit. We want to set our mind on the spirit, walk according to the spirit, and live in spirit. Oh Lord, how we praise You for the Spirit as the unique all-inclusive blessing!
