Lord, make me one who loves Your appearing! Come Lord Jesus! (sharing from the 2011 Poland camp)

Lord, make me one who loves Your appearing! Come Lord Jesus! (sharing from the 2011 Poland camp)The Poland Conference was awesome! The brothers that shared the messages were really frank and direct – they didn’t sugar coat anything. There were a few points that I really enjoyed at this conference (the topic was, “The Crucial Aspects of God’s Economy in Exodus“).

1 ) The special fellowship time was so good! We talked about the great image in Daniel. Nebuchadnezzar had a dream and in this dream he saw a huge statue (image) made of gold, silver, bronze, iron, and clay. Then suddenly a huge rock cut without hands came and landed at the feet of the image and shatters it until the remains are blown away by the wind. The Gold of the head – Babylon; the Silver chest – Medo- Persia; the Bronze torso – Greece; and the iron legs – the Roman empire (split into East and west); the feet of iron and clay mixed – democracy(the iron is like the President, but he can’t do anything without the Congress – the clay); the ten toes – the 10 kings that will be under Antichrist.

Then the Lord comes and crushes this image. The brother pointed out that we are soooo close to the Lord’s coming back! We are already at the feet, at the brink of the toes. It is in Europe where these things will happen. The Lord is coming back in Europe as revealed in the Bible. This gave me a real burden for Europe and the young people there, because they will be the ones to bring the Lord back.

In my vital group, we’ve prayed so much for the Poland conference and for the European young people, but until I was actually there and saw the young people, I didn’t feel like a had a really strong burden – yet now I do!

2) 2 Tim. 4:8 says, Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will recompense me in that day, and not only me but all those who have loved His appearing. The Lord is coming back. A lot of the time we think, But, Lord, I still haven’t lived my life. I still need to get the full college experience, get a high paying job (or get a job in general), get married, have kids, have grandkids…

But, saints, we get rewarded for wanting Him to come back, for loving His appearing! I felt really exposed. Do I really want Him to come back? Do I really love Him above myself? I realized that my life here won’t be anything compared to a life for eternity with Christ!

Lord I confess I don’t love You enough. Make me one who loves Your appearing. Come Lord Jesus!

3 ) There was another point about video games or movies in general. The brother gave an example: If he gave someone a picture of his wife, and then that person just decides it would be fun to rip that picture up, the brother would get mad, even if it was just a picture of her. This is just like in video games or movies when we shoot or kill or even allow those things to happen to man. Man is God’s wife, His fiancee, and how would God feel if we just treated man that way? I don’t play video games, but it really touched me how we need to be careful of the way we treat man.

4 ) There was, as usual, the point about relationships. But this topic was covered in a different way than most young people’s conferences we go to in the USA. It wasn’t just like those messages where they say, don’t get into a relationship… be pure… This time the way the brothers presented this topic was by asking, Wouldn’t you want to be able to tell your future spouse, “I kept myself for you!”  – instead of trying ourselves to not like someone, which is impossible!

God gave us a heart that loves, because we are made in His image and likeness and God is love… We can pray for the one that the Lord has matched us with. Even if we don’t know who it is, we can pray that the Lord would preserve us for them, and them for us.

5 ) Most of the conference was showing us what Egypt (representing the world) is like. Then when we see it for what it is, we will want to leave! There was a group of people in history called the pole-sitters. They saw how corrupted the world was so they went into the wilderness and cut off the tops of trees and just sat there. They were “separated from the world”. But that’s not what God wants us to do.

Yes, He wants us to get out of Egypt, but the reason we need to get out is so that we can feast on Him and enjoy Him with the other believers!  Along that line, leaving Egypt is not an individual leaving. It is a corporate leaving, we as the church, leave together. If I left Egypt by myself, then I would be feasting in the wilderness by myself. That isn’t much of a feast. We need others.

6 ) What’s your concept of the Passover? What’s your mental image when you hear the word Passover? I normally think of a person painting the doorway with a big paint brush, covering the whole doorway with blood. Actually, the door way was painted with a hyssop. The hyssop is a really small plant.

  • The house typifies the church;
  • The family inside is our church family;
  • hyssop – a really small amount of faith – we just need a small amount of faith to be saved and to enter into the house.
In the house, we eat the entire lamb with all the saints, but we are careful not to break the bones because the lamb signifies Christ, and no bone of Christ was broken when He was crucified! His bones give life – just like Adam’s rib gave life to Eve.

7 ) When Moses approached Pharaoh, he had a staff that he threw down. Then Pharaoh had his magicians do the same thing. But Pharaoh missed what God was trying to tell him through this sign – Pharaoh thought that just because his magicians could do the same thing, he had the same amount of power as God. The point God was trying to reveal to Pharaoh and everyone else was what they had been depending on for working, walking, living… The staff – was just a serpent… it was Satan!

I always knew this story, how Moses’s staff ate up the other snakes, but I didn’t realize that the point of the staff / snakes was to expose Satan. When anyone is in the world, all they are depending on is Satan. We need to get rid of our staff and depend and trust absolutely in Jesus. Matthew 6:31-33 says,

Therefore do not be anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, With what shall we be clothed?
For all these things the Gentiles are anxiously seeking. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.
