loving the Lord back and pouring everything we have on Him (sharing from the college age conference)

I can testify that the Lord’s speaking is becoming sweeter and sweeter as time goes by. I feel the truthfulness through His words in the Gospel of John. Praise the Lord – we have a living Christ in us! He is so real and so fresh every day! One of the things that I appreciated in the conference was the matter of the genuine church life.

We have seen the different people typifying the saints in the proper church life – Martha, Lazarus, and Mary. Martha, who provided a diligent service to the Lord; Lazarus, who was the living testimony of the resurrection life of the Lord; and Mary, who poured her absolute love on the Lord.

If we are truly practicing the church life, we must have the service, the testimony, and the love for the Lord. These are all the result of the Lord being resurrection life to us. This is such a great revelation concerning the proper church life!

Furthermore, the story about Mary was so touching. On that night in the house in Bethany, Mary knew that Jesus was about to die so she took a pound of ointment, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. The whole house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment.

The other disciples were indignant, and they were saying that she wasted this precious ointment. But Mary didn’t think it was that way. She appreciated how precious her Lord was and – without a second thought – she anointed the feet of the Lord Jesus with the expensive ointment. What a love she had for Jesus!

We need to possess the same kind of love towards the Lord. We need to see how precious the Lord is and then we will realize that all the best that we have right now is not a waste if we offer/spend it on the Lord. Our time, our money, and our effort – everything that we have – should be for the Lord! The Lord wants us to love Him back. He was so delighted when Mary did that. Matthew 26:13 says,

Truly I say to you, wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what this woman has done shall also be told as a memorial of her.

Isn’t it such a wonderful feeling if the person whom you love loves you back? Oh Lord may you increase our love for You every day!

Brothers and Sisters, NOW is the time to serve, testify and love the Lord. If we can only realize how scarce our time is we will definitely pursue the Lord desperately right now! We need to live the resurrection life – and the Lord needs our cooperation. Oh Lord Jesus, give us the grace to drop all our opinions and just submit ourselves to Your leading and Your revelation!
