seeing a high revelation of Christ in His ascension sitting at God’s right hand

seeing a high revelation of Christ in His ascension sitting at God's right handThis week in the morning revival we come to Psalm 110, a very short psalm that contains a very high revelation concerning Christ in His ascension. The first verse in this psalm has been quoted more than 20 times in the New Testament, “Jehovah declares to my Lord, Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies Your footstool.” (see Matt. 22:44; Mark 12:36; 16:19; Luke 20:42-43; Acts 2:33-35; Rom. 8:34; Heb. 1:13)

In this psalm we see Christ in the city of God – Christ being in the highest position and exaltation in the universe! Hallelujah, Christ is in ascension!

The Son of David is the Lord of David

In Matthew 22 we see that the Pharisees, the Sadducees, and the lawyers asked the Lord many entrapping questions, but He answered to them in an amazing way. At the end of their questioning, He had a question for them, What do you think concerning the Christ – whose Son is He?

The Old Testament clearly says that Christ is the Son of David, but David in Spirit also calls Him, Lord! This is a good question: who is Christ? According to His humanity, Christ is the Son of David; according to His divinity, Christ is the Lord of David. The Lord of David became the Son of David and in His resurrection, He was made the Lord and Christ! Now the Man Jesus is the Lord!

Christ is at the right hand of God

After passing through the processes of incarnation, human living, crucifixion, and resurrection, Christ now is in ascension sitting at the right hand of God, the highest position in the universe. In Ezek. 47:1 we see that water flows from under the threshold of the house toward the east, the sunrise, the place of Christ’s glory, the right side of the house.

The right hand of God is the highest place and the greatest honor in the universe – we need to give the flow of life the preeminence in our being! To experience Christ as the King in our being we need to be for God’s glory, the corporate expression of the Triune God, the practical flowing presence of the Lord Jesus within us!

Many times we realize that Christ does not have the first place in us in all things. We need to learn to enthrone Him in our life in a practical way in many things – until He has the preeminence in us. The practical presence of our King Jesus within us is the flow of life flowing within our being!

We need to have a full consecration so that we may have the flow of life – don’t do anything without being in the flow! Just go along with the flow of life within you, pray and take care of the flow of life in your spirit! Right now, in this decision you’re about to make, do you have the flow of life? Go where the flow goes, and you will enthrone Christ as king in your being!

Christ sat down at God’s right hand

The fact that Christ is sitting at God’s right hand is very significant. It means that in His ascension Christ has been made by God the Lord, the Christ, the Leader of the entire universe, and the Savior (see Acts 2:36; 5:31; 10:36)! The right hand of God is actually the Father Himself – Christ’s ascension to the right hand of God is not merely His “being in a place” where He sits down, but His being in a person, the Father! In His ascension Christ entered into the Father and sat down there (see Heb. 1:3, John 16:28). This implies Christ’s kingship – Christ is the King, the Lord, the Christ, the Leader, and the Savior! What a Christ!

The defeated enemies are a footstool for Christ

Christ has won the victory, He has overcome, He has accomplished everything, and now He is at God’s right hand sitting – yet He needs a footstool for His feet! We may sit down on an excellent seat but we still need a footstool to be more comfortable. Today God is fighting to subdue all Christ’s enemies and make them a footstool for Christ’s feet. We as the Body of Christ, as “the feet of Christ”, are fighting one with God today to subdue all Christ’s enemies in us, around us, and in the whole universe, so that Christ may have a full rest and satisfaction in His ascension!

How do we fight? We fight by reigning in life over Satan, sin, death, and any negative things. We fight by receiving the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness – to reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ! By enjoying Christ abundantly every day we are reigning together with Him in life over all His enemies! May the enjoyment of Christ reign in our being! As we enjoy Christ, the fourfold power – resurrecting power, ascending power, subjecting power, and heading up power – which is installed in our spirit is operating in us and through us (Eph. 1:19-23). Praise the Lord, we can reign in life by being in our spirit!

Lord Jesus, we give You the preeminence in our being. Have the first place, and be the One on the throne in us. We don’t want to do anything apart from You, and we treasure the flow of life in us. We want to learn to enjoy You and give You the preeminence, going allow with the sweet flow of life in us! Lord, gain a footstool for Your feet! Defeat Your enemies and make them Your footstool! We want to be one with You for this!
