the Spirit is now the Compound Spirit, every element is significant! (2011 Winter School)

the Spirit is now the Compound Spirit, every element is significant! (2011 Winter School)This Winter School of Truth I was really impressed by the matter of the compound Spirit. Do you know that the Spirit is compound? All the aspects and matters in the Old Testament are types which find their reality in the New Testament.

The ointment in Exo. 30:22-25 is a type of the Spirit. This holy anointing oil is composed of 5 ingredients: olive oil, flowing myrrh, sweet cinnamon, sweet calamus, and cassia. Every ingredient of this compound ointment shows us something very significant about the Spirit.

The olive oil: In the Bible olive oil signifies the Spirit of God (Psa. 45:7; Isa. 61:1). The olive oil is the base of the ointment; it is the basic element compounded with the spices. The four spices are compounded into the olive oil to make the ointment. This indicates that the Spirit of God, signified by the olive oil, is no longer merely oil, but now it is oil compounded with certain ingredients.

Thank You Lord that You are not only the olive oil but now You are compounded! You passed through the process!

The flowing myrrh: Flowing myrrh, smelling sweet but tasting bitter, signifies the precious death of Christ. In the Bible, myrrh is used mostly for burial. Hence, myrrh is related to death. How we need a precious death of Christ! By His death we are redeemed – I should have died but HE DIED in my place… What can I say, just THANK YOU, LORD!

The sweet cinnamon: Fragrant cinnamon signifies the sweetness and effectiveness of Christ’s death. The effectiveness of Christ’s death is in the Spirit. This Spirit is like an all-inclusive dose of medicine. If we take this all-inclusive Spirit, it will heal us, no matter what our illness is. The killing power of the death of Christ today is in the all-inclusive Spirit. I confess that every day I may criticize others, pity myself, complain or lose my temper… All that I need is just to say ‘Lord Jesus, O Lord Jesus’, His death kills all my complaints.

The fragrant calamus: Calamus grows in a marsh or muddy place. But even though it grows in a marsh, it is able to shoot up into the air. According to the sequence of the spices, this calamus signifies the rising up of the Lord Jesus from the place of death. The Lord was put into a marsh, into a death situation, but in resurrection, He rose up and stood up. Everything – my school, work, Internet, etc is like a marsh. I need the power of Christ’s resurrection so that I could STAND! We can’t be like everyone else – we are different! WE STAND but not by ourselves (by our natural power) but through the power of the Lord’s resurrection!

The cassia: The fourth spice, cassia, signifies the power of Christ’s resurrection. In ancient times cassia was used as a repellent to drive away insects and snakes. Cassia thus signifies the power, the effectiveness, of Christ’s resurrection. Christ’s resurrection can withstand any kind of environment, and His resurrection certainly is repellent. It repels all evil “insects” and especially the old serpent, the devil. Wooooooow! This Spirit “scares away” all kinds of temptations and evil things from us! ‘Lord Jesus, keep the snakes away from me all my days!’ We really need to flee to our spirit and enjoy the resurrection!

Praise the Lord that this Spirit is compound! Lord Jesus thank You that You passed through the process so that now we can experience You as the all-inclusive, indwelling, and compound Spirit!

So saints let’s: let us turn to our spirit, let us spend time with the Lord, let us experience Him as the Spirit, let us LOVE HIM MORE and GIVE Him more ground in our hearts. Lord Jesus, make us Your overcomers!

It is amazing that EVERY ingredient of this compound ointment shows us something very significant about the Spirit.!!! Wow!!!

Especially I am enjoying  significance of the fragrant calamus:
"CALAMUS signifies the rising up of the Lord Jesus from the place of death. The Lord was put into a marsh, into a death situation, but in resurrection He rose up and stood up. Everything – my school, work, Internet, etc is like a marsh. I need the power of Christ’s resurrection so that I could STAND! We can’t be like everyone else – we are different! and " CASSIA thus signifies the power, the effectiveness, of Christ’s resurrection. Christ’s resurrection can withstand any kind of environment, and His resurrection certainly is a repellent. It repels all evil “insects” and especially the old serpent, the devil. Wooooooow!
