The Spirit is the Reality of the Triune God, Resurrection, and the Body of Christ

The Spirit of reality is the reality of the processed Triune God and the reality of resurrection, and this Spirit makes everything of the processed Triune God a reality in the Body of Christ.Christ’s resurrection is of utmost importance not only in human history but also to our Christian life and faith. If Christ did not resurrect from the dead, our Christian faith is vain and empty, and all the believers would be miserable people. But Christ DID resurrect, and we believe in the resurrection of the dead; therefore, we are the most joyful people and we’re full of hope!

In order for us to live in resurrection, we must see the unveiled truth concerning Christ’s resurrection, that is, that in His resurrection Christ in His humanity was begotten by God to be the firstborn Son of God, all the believers were regenerated by God to be the many sons of God, and Christ became the life-giving Spirit. Without these major items of the Lord’s resurrection, there would be no church, no Body of Christ, and no economy of God. Resurrection is the life pulse and the lifeline of the divine economy.

Today we want to see how the Spirit is the reality of the Triune God, the reality of resurrection, and the reality of the Body of Christ. When the Lord Jesus was on the earth, He was the Christ, the Sent One from the Father to be with man, comfort man, impart life to man, cherish and nourish man, and lead man to God.

Before He left, He told His disciples that He will not leave them as orphans but He will send the Spirit of reality from with the Father, and the Spirit will guide them into all the reality. God is embodied in Christ, and Christ is realized as the Spirit; today the Spirit of reality is the reality of the entire Triune God. Also, the Spirit of reality is the reality of resurrection and of all the processes God in Christ went through.

In our Christian life we can experience the reality of Christ’s human living, death, resurrection, and ascension by simply exercising our spirit to touch the Spirit of reality and allow Him to guide us into all the reality. The Spirit of reality is the reality of the Body of Christ; the Spirit is both the essence inwardly and the reality outwardly of the Body, and if there’s no Spirit, there’s no church.

The Spirit is the Reality of the Triune God

John 15:26 But when the Comforter comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of reality, who proceeds from the Father, He will testify concerning Me.How can we know, contact, enjoy, and realize the Triune God? The Father is embodied in the Son; when Christ came, He expressed the Father, spoke the Father’s words, did the Father’s works, and was fully one with the Father to express Him in the Father’s rich attributes through Christ’s aromatic virtues.

This wonderful one, Christ, went through death and resurrection, and in resurrection He became the life-giving Spirit, the Spirit of reality. Today the reality of the Triune God with all that He is, has, and has gone through is in the Spirit of reality.

All that the process Triune God is – including righteousness, life, holiness, light, power, grace, joy, peace, and all the divine attributes – are realized by the Spirit of reality to be enjoyed and experienced by us as the members of the Body of Christ (Rom. 15:16; 14:17; Eph. 3:16). All the communicable attributes of the Triune God are embodied in the Son and made real to us by the Spirit of reality.

The Son sent the Spirit of reality from the Father and with the Father (John 16:13-15) to come and guide us into all the reality of what God is. We now can know God because the Spirit of reality dwells with us and abides in us.

The Spirit of reality testifies to us concerning Christ, the embodiment of God the Father, and He guides us into all the reality (see John 14:17; 15:26; 16:13); the Spirit Himself is reality (1 John 5:6). Hallelujah, we have an inner guide in our spirit who guides us into all the reality of the Triune God!

The Spirit is the Reality of Resurrection

John 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of reality, comes, He will guide you into all the reality; for He will not speak from Himself, but what He hears He will speak; and He will declare to you the things that are coming. How can we experience Christ’s resurrection and live in resurrection today? The reality of resurrection is Christ as the life-giving Spirit (John 11:25; 20:22; 1 Cor. 15:45). In resurrection Christ appeared to His disciples and said, Peace be with you, and then He breathed into them the Holy Breath, the Holy Spirit.

All that the Triune God in Christ has experienced – including His incarnation, human living, crucifixion, and resurrection – are included in and realized by the wonderful life-giving Spirit as the consummation of the processed Triune God.

The experiences Christ went through are not just in and for Himself, but they are available and enjoyable for us in the Spirit. The Spirit of reality makes the experiences the Triune God went through in Christ real to us in our experience today.

We can now live a normal Christian life on earth by exercising our spirit and letting the Spirit of reality apply the experiences of Christ to us in our experience. We can overcome our temper, besetting sin, lusts, anger, and disposition by the Spirit with our spirit applying the death of Christ and His resurrection to our being.

The Spirit with Christ’s death and resurrection applies these to our being whenever we contact the Lord in our spirit, and we do not lose our temper, we don’t rebuke others, we can’t get angry at people, and we just don’t blame others because we contact the Lord by calling on His name and the Spirit applies the reality of Christ’s death and resurrection to our being. The only way we can experience Christ’s resurrection is in the Spirit!

Lord, teach us how to breathe ourselves us out and how to breathe You in! Oh Lord, we open to You as the Spirit of reality to guide us into all the reality of what God is. May the Spirit apply Christ’s death and resurrection to our being so that we may live in resurrection for the building up of the Body of Christ. Lord Jesus, we breathe ourselves out with all our problems and sins, and we breathe You as the Spirit in with all that You are and have passed through to be our reality and experience today!

The Spirit is the Essence and Reality of the Body of Christ, making everything of God real to the Body of Christ

Reality refers to the real condition of persons and things. The Body of Christ is the church today, and all of its reality is the Spirit of the reality of the consummated Triune God. The reality of the processed Triune God is His consummated Spirit of reality (John 14:17; 15:26; 16:13; 1 John 5:6). The reality of all that the Triune God is, has, and can do is simply this Spirit of reality. The reality of the death and resurrection which the Triune God passed through is also this Spirit of reality. (Witness Lee, A Thorough View of the Body of Christ, p. 31)Praise the Lord, today the Spirit of reality makes everything of the processed Triune God a reality in the Body of Christ (John 16:13-15). All that God is and has, all that God has passed through and accomplished, and all the processes God has passed through are in the Spirit to be applied to us in our daily experience.

All that the Father is and has is embodied in the Son, and all that the Son is and has as the embodiment of the Father is declared and made real to the believers as the Spirit. The Triune God is being worked into us and is mingled with us as the Spirit of reality, and the Spirit applies to us in our experience all that Christ has passed through for the building up of the Body of Christ.

There is one Body and one Spirit (Eph. 4:4) – the Spirit is the essence of the Body, and the Spirit is also the reality of the Body of Christ. The inward substance of the Body is the Spirit, and the outward realization of the Body is the Spirit.

The Spirit is the secret to all that the Triune God is to the Body of Christ. God loves the Body of Christ, strengthens the members of the Body into their inner man, sanctifies the Body, and builds up the Body in and through the Spirit.

Without the Spirit, there is NO Body of Christ and there is NO church; but the more Spirit there is, the more the church is built up. We need to realize the vital importance of the Spirit as the reality of God, Christ, resurrection, and the Body, and we need to exercise our spirit to allow the Spirit to both guide us into all the reality and to apply the effectiveness of all God is to us.

Lord Jesus, fill us with Your Spirit. We want to gain more of Your Spirit so that the church would be built up on the earth to be the Body of Christ. Thank You for coming to us as the Spirit of reality to be with us, dwell with us, and live in us to guide us into all the reality of what God is. Lord, we give You permission to guide us into all the reality as the Spirit and apply to our being the effectiveness of Your death and resurrection so that the Body of Christ may be built up on earth today!

We need to see conclusively that both the essence and the reality of the Body of Christ are altogether matters of the Spirit of the processed and consummated Triune God….The Spirit is the reality of the essence as well as the essence to which the reality belongs. Essence emphasizes the inward substance, while reality emphasizes the outward realization. Because the Spirit is the inward substance of the Body of Christ, He is also its outward realization. Both the inward essence and substance and the outward reality and realization are of the Spirit. This Spirit is the secret to all that the Triune God is to the Body of Christ. For instance, the secret to God’s loving the Body of Christ, sanctifying it, and strengthening it, is with the Spirit of reality. It is the Spirit of reality who makes God’s love real in the Body of Christ, so that it may be sanctified and strengthened. This Spirit of reality is the processed Triune God Himself as well as the totality of all the attributes of the processed Triune God….Furthermore, the Spirit is also the effectiveness of all the processes of the processed Triune God. Incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection all have their effectiveness, and their effectiveness is just the Spirit of essence and reality. The effectiveness of both the death and resurrection of Christ is displayed in us who possess this Spirit of essence and reality. (A Thorough View of the Body of Christ, pp. 31-33, by Witness Lee)

I thank God today, for the Spirit of reality has come to dwell in us and we can experience Christ who is the resurrection and the life, (John 11:25). Furthermore that we can be strengthened and empowered to do all things (Philippians 4:13) according to His will to serve Him in His resurrection power! Death cannot hold the resurrection life. Amen! Christ rose from death and the grave, to impart Himself into us, as the resurrection and the life. As the life-giving Spirit, Christ brought life into us, and He brings us into the reality of the Triune God. “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” (Galatians 2:8) Thank You Lord Jesus! By exercising our spirit, where the Spirit of reality dwells, has joined itself to, is united and is mingled with our spirit, this Spirit will guides us into all reality. “The Spirit of reality make the experiences the Triune God went through in Christ, real to us in our experience today.” Amen. O Lord Jesus! You make all things real to us.

The dying to self, through the death of Christ, is experienced by enjoying His resurrection life, as the life-giving Spirit, by the Spirit of reality in our spirit, transforming us, by the renewing of our mind, and conforming us to the death of Christ.

O Lord Jesus, You are the resurrection and the life, the Spirit of power and the Spirit of reality, bring us into all the realities of the Triune God. Keep us Lord Jesus, exercised in spirit, keep us enjoying You, as the Spirit of reality, bring us into all the realities. Lord Jesus, keep us breathing out the oldness, breathing in new life and oneness. O Lord Jesus, we love You Lord, not just for ourselves, but for Your Body to be built up, for You to end this age, and bring in Your kingdom reign. Have mercy Lord Jesus, to save us for Your Body, Your expression on the earth today, for You to gain Your Bride and You Warrior, the bring in of Your kingdom reign. Praise You Lord Jesus. Amen.
