The recent conference we had in Portugal was about speaking God’s Word. I was really touched that we need to read His Word, and then we will be filled with it so that we can speak it to others! His Word has to become reality in us – if we read it in the same way we read any other book, then it won’t have any effect in us!
But when we come to the Word of God to read it in a appropriate way and we pray over the Word of God, it will become reality in us! We really need this! We need to touch the Lord every day and a very easy way to do this is by reading His word. God wants us to become His expression!
I was also impressed with the fact that we really need to love the Lord. Sometimes we may say, Lord I love You! – but how much do we actually love Him? The more we love the Lord, the more we will be able to speak for Him! Our love for God is the basic element which will enable us to proclaim the Lord with power!
To conclude, I was really touched with the fact that we really need to share in the church meetings. To prophesy means to speak God’s word to the saints for the building up of the Body of Christ. Sometimes, I have something to share in the meeting, but the enemy just doesn’t let me stand up and speak.
It’s a weird feeling – you want to stand up and share, but the enemy within gives you all kinds of reasons not to! But as the brother said, the enemy does this because he doesn’t want the building up of the church! So what we need to do is to pray, Lord I want to speak Your Word! and then, stand up!
