There are so many wonderful things that we enjoy when we are in this sweet identification with Christ! Psalm 91 speaks of Christ, the One who lived a life fully one with the Father and took God as His dwelling place. In identification with Christ, we also are under the keeping care of the angels, and we tread upon the enemy Satan (see Psa. 91:11-13 and Matt. 4:6). The way we defeat Satan, the serpent that poisons God’s people and the lion that devours God’s people is by being identified with Christ! In Christ we overcome the enemy and we tread upon his head. the secret to be content in all things: abiding in Christ (students training, South Africa)
The experience of Christ is in our spirit but the enjoyment of Christ is in our soul. We need to experience Christ in such a full and complete way so that our experience seeps through to our soul to be our enjoyment, joy and delight. How do we do this? In Phil 4:12 Paul says he has learnt the secret to be both abased and to abound and in the previous verse to be content in all circumstances. The secret is simply to be in Christ, to abide in Him. To be content in everything means the good things and the bad things. To be content in all things means to be content in all the ordinary things too! Our Christ does not change, our contentment therefore cannot change. [read more online]
the recovery of living a life of the altar and the tent in the church life today
When God appears to us, when we see Him face to face, something of God is being transfused into us – His element is now transfused into our being. Once this transfusion takes place, there’s something going on in us – the element of God is being infused into every part of our being! Before God appeared to us, we did not have faith or we did not even think of God and His purpose; but when He appeared to us, we have His element transfused into us and infused into every part of our inner being… Slowly, this element saturates us so that we cannot help it but believe! This is faith: the element of God transfused into use, infused into us, and saturating us! [read more online]
The Heart of the Divine Revelation – an overview of the four focal books
We are not here to pursue a religion or a moral and godly life. In the Old Testament we see many teachings to help people live a pious life. The Psalmists lived a pious and godly life, they loved Jehovah, they walked with God, they delighted int he law of God – but in the New Testament we see a life in which we live out the Christ we enjoy and experience! This is the heart of the Bible! The Lord’s recovery is not to recover anything else but the knowing and experiencing Christ in all our daily living! having ordinary days in the divine dispensing for the building up of the Body of Christ
We all can testify that we cannot “feel” that the Triune God is in us in a spectacular or extraordinary way. There’s a living Person in us, and His speaking to us, His dispensing in us, is so normal and so fine. We should be blessed to be satisfied with ordinary normal routine days in the divine dispensing. We don’t know what’s really going on within us, but as we turn to the Lord, as we fellowship with Him, as we open to Him, and as we listen to His voice within us, there’s an increase of the element of God in our being daily. we need to turn to our spirit and let Jesus work in us! (2011 winter school of truth)
My life often is “divided in two” – in school I usually live by my soul and at the meetings or when I am spending time with Lord, I live by my spirit. This kind of living is not what Christ wants to have in us. He really wants to have a stepping stone – a people that will concentrate their all beings on Him. The Lord chose us – we cannot lose this chance – we have to turn to our spirit all the time – live by our spirit – and let Jesus work in us! Then we will surely be able to say, It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me! This is so amazing! areas in which the Lord Spirit may operate to apply the resurrection life in us
In resurrection, Christ became the life-giving Spirit and He was given to be the Lord and Christ over everything. Now He is the Lord Spirit (2 Cor. 3:18) transforming our soul by imparting the resurrection life to our mind, emotion, and will… There are so many ways that the resurrection life and our appreciation for the real meaning of resurrection life impact us as members of the Body of Christ! … The Lord Spirit may cause some of us to be like Paul and aspire to know the power of Christ’s resurrection, to know it experientially! For some, they may have little interest or aspiration, but the Lord will produce in you a desire to know in your experience the power of Christ’s resurrection!
