The continuation of Christ in the book of Acts is prophesied in the Bible, especially in Isaiah and in Micah, where we see that Christ will gain a seed to extend His days (the church) for His satisfaction, and that His goings forth are from ancient times, and He’s still going forth today! Amen!
It is truly amazing to see not only the fulfilment of the prophecies in Christ with His living and work on the earth, but also to see the prophecies concerning Christ’s continuation in the book of Acts!
On the one hand, Christ was prophesied to have come and fulfil God’s plan of redemption; for this, the prophets looked, searched, prayed, and sought diligently to see what times and what manner of times Christ would come. Amazing!
Then, Christ came and fulfilled the prophecies; He came and fulfilled what was prophesied concerning Him, both in His work of healing, preaching, and living, and in His work of redemption.
He did not deliberately seek to fulfil the prophecies; rather, as He lived the life of a God-man, Christ fulfilled what the Old Testament prophets spoke concerning Him.
Even more, Isaiah and Micah prophesied concerning Christ’s continuation, which we see in the book of Acts.
In Acts, we see not just how the disciples of Christ tried to spread His teachings and baptise new converts; in this book, we see the continuation of Christ, the reproduction of Christ, seeking to increase Christ in humanity for the coming of the kingdom of God on the earth.
The disciples of Christ not only went everywhere to preach the gospel and spread the church; they lived Christ, expressed Christ, ministered Christ, preached Christ, and caused Christ to be increased wherever they went and wherever they lived.
Even such an increase of Christ, a continuation of Christ, was prophesied in the Old Testament.
When we speak of prophesying, many times we refer to speaking for the Lord, speaking the Lord, and ministering Christ; however, there’s also the sense of prophesying as in predicting the future, under the inspiration of the Spirit.
Isaiah and Micah spoke for the Lord; they spoke the word of God and told God’s people what God’s message was for them.
Also, they prophesied in the sense of predicting the future, in particular predicting the continuation of Christ, as seen in Acts and also in the Epistles.
We need to open to the Lord and pray-read over His word to see a vision of the continuation of Christ in Acts as prophesied in the Old Testament.
Isaiah Prophesied concerning the Continuation of Christ in His Resurrection: He will see a Seed, He will Extend His Days!
Isaiah 42:4 says that Christ will come again when He finishes establishing God’s justice in the earth. This means that Christ will establish God’s salvation as the issue of God’s righteous judgement on Christ, and He will come again.
This is what happened in His death and resurrection; through His death, Christ accomplished redemption to bring in justice, for He was judged on the cross by God’s righteousness. Then, He came again in His resurrection. Praise the Lord!
Now, based on Christ’s redemption, we can receive God’s life! All our iniquities were laid upon Him, He took away the sin of the world (John 1:29), and He took care of all our sins, our terrible deeds, our misconduct, and our sinful nature.
After this, Christ came back again; He came back through and in His resurrection.
He will not faint, nor will He be discouraged, even though He went through much suffering; today, in His coming in us, He is not discouraged, even though we may fail and forget about the Lord again and again. Thank You, Lord!
Isaiah 53:10 prophesies about the continuation of Christ in His resurrection. This verse says, He will see a seed, He will extend His days, and the pleasure of Jehovah will prosper in His hand.
On the one hand, Christ suffered much, even the suffering of death on the cross; on the other hand, He will see a seed, the extension of His days, the continuation of Christ, which is us, the believers in Christ.
We all are the continuation of Christ; He is working Himself into us, He is flowing out of us into others, and we are the extension of His days!
The seed here is a corporate seed, the church as the Body of Christ. The seed comprises all the believers produced as the many grains by the death of Christ as the one grain and by His reproductive resurrection (John 12:24; 1 Pet. 1:3).
Thank the Lord that Christ, as the Servant of Jehovah, the resurrected life-giver, the life-giving Spirit (1 Cor. 15:45; 2 Cor. 3:6, 17) to produce a seed for the building up of His Body as His continuation for Jehovah’s pleasure and for Christ’s satisfaction. Wow!
Christ died as the Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world. He suffered in the flesh on the cross, and after His death, He entered into resurrection to be the life-giver, the life-giving Spirit, to obtain a seed, a continuation for Himself.
Christ extends His days today, that is, He is extending His days by living in us, the believers in Christ (Gal. 2:20).
We as His believers are His Body, the extension of Christ, the extension of His days. Like Paul, today we can say that for us to live is Christ.
This is for God’s pleasure (Eph. 1:5, 9; Phil. 2:13), which is for Him to see many sons born of God to become members of the Body of Christ, His corporate expression.
The desire of God’s heart, His good pleasure, is to obtain the church as the Body of Christ, the corporate expression of Christ, which is us, the continuation of Christ.
What makes God happy is to gain the continuation of Christ today. We are here for this, for Christ to have a continuation on the earth!
Lord Jesus, thank You for coming as the Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world. Thank You for not fainting nor being discouraged until You establish justice in the earth! Hallelujah for Christ’s redemptive death on the cross! Praise the Lord, Christ has come again in His resurrection, and He has obtained a seed! Praise the Lord, we are the seed of Christ, the continuation of Christ on earth today! Amen, Lord, thank You and praise You for Your redeeming death and Your reproductive resurrection! Hallelujah, Christ today is the resurrected life-giver, the life-giving Spirit producing a seed for the building up of the Body of Christ as His continuation! Amen, Lord, we are Your continuation today, Your reproduction, Your increase and duplication. We are here for Your satisfaction and for Your good pleasure. We give ourselves to You today, dear Lord!
As the Continuation of Christ, we are the Fruit of the Travail of His Soul, and He is Satisfied
Isaiah 53:11 says that Christ will see the fruit of the travail of His soul, and He will be satisfied. Here Isaiah prophesies concerning the continuation of Christ, which is us, the believers in Christ.
What does the fruit of the travail of His soul refer to? It implies all the items produced in and through Christ’s resurrection as His continuation.
It is recommended to read footnote 1 in Isaiah 53:11, which lists the seven main items involved and implied in the fruit of the travail of Christ’s soul.
First, as the processed One, the last Adam, Christ became the life-giving Spirit as the reality of the pneumatic Christ for His propagation through life-imparting (1 Cor. 15:45; 2 Cor. 3:17).
Hallelujah, Christ became the life-giving Spirit to have a way to propagate Himself in us, His believers, to make us His continuation!
Second, as the preeminent One, the One who has the first place in all things, Christ became the Firstborn from the dead for the germinating of God’s new creation and for Christ to be the head of the Body (Col. 1:18; Rev. 1:5).
He is the preeminent One, and He has the first place both in the old and in the new creation; He is the Firstborn from the dead and He is also the Head of the Body. Praise the Lord!
Third, as the God-man, Christ was begotten of God in His humanity (Acts 13:33) to be the firstborn Son of God in both the divine and human natures, to be a model for conforming us, the many sons of God, to His image (Rom. 8:29).
When He was resurrected, Christ was not only the only begotten Son of God who possesses only divinity; even more, He was the firstborn Son of God, possessing both divinity and divinised humanity. He brought His humanity into His divinity, and He became God’s firstborn Son.
His humanity was sanctified, uplifted, and transformed into divinity. As such One, He became our model, the prototype; as the continuation of Christ, we are His reproduction and multiplication today, being conformed to His image. Hallelujah!
Fourth, as the resurrection life (John 11:25), Christ regenerated all His believers (1 Pet. 1:3), making them His brothers and the many sons of God (Heb. 2:10-12; Rom. 8:29b; John 20:17), who are the members of Gods household to be God’s kingdom (Eph. 2:19; Gal. 6:10) and God’s precious inheritance (Eph. 1:11).
When Christ was resurrected, He regenerated us; we were regenerated at the time of Christ’s resurrection. Now Christ is leading us, the many sons of God, into glory.
He is in glory, He cut the way into glory, and He is leading us into glory by sanctifying us. We are sanctified not only by being separated unto God but even more, by being saturated with God to be glorified.
Fifth, as the one grain of wheat, Christ became the many grains (John 12:24), who are His increase (3:30) and the components of His Body, that is, the one bread, the church (1 Cor. 10:17; Eph. 1:22-23).
Christ is not only the only grain of wheat falling into the earth to die; He is also the many grains. On one hand, we are the continuation of Christ, the many grains produced by Him; on the other hand, Christ is the many grains!
Sixth, through His life-releasing death and with His life-imparting resurrection, Christ produced a corporate seed as the issue of the travail of His soul, which seed He saw in His resurrection and was satisfied (Isa. 53:10-11; cf. Gal. 3:29).
We are the corporate seed of Christ for His satisfaction and delight; we who believe into Christ, are part of Christ, the seed of Abraham, heirs according to the promise.
Christ is the transfigured seed of Abraham, and when we believe into Him, we become part of the transfigured seed of Abraham, the continuation of Christ. Hallelujah!
Finally, seventh, as the life of the believers, the resurrected Christ is all the members and in all the members of the new man (Col. 3:10-11). Hallelujah, Christ is all and in all!
Praise the Lord, we today are the fruit of the travail of Christ’s soul, the continuation of Christ! Thank You, Lord, for becoming the life-giving Spirit to propagate Yourself in humanity through life-imparting! Amen, Lord, as the preeminent One, You became the Firstborn from the dead for the germination of God’s new creation, and You are the Head of the Body! Hallelujah, Christ as the God-man was begotten by God in His humanity to be the firstborn Son of God as the model for conforming us, the many sons of God, to His image! Amen, Lord, we praise You for being the resurrection life to regenerate us and make us the many sons of God, the members of God’s household to be God’s kingdom! Amen, Lord, thank You for being the one grain of wheat falling into the earth to die and become the many grains for Your increase to produce the one bread, the church! Hallelujah, Christ produced a corporate seed as the issue of the travail of His soul, which seed He saw in His resurrection and was satisfied! Thank You, Lord, You are now our life to live in us and be all in all in the members of the church as the one new man! Hallelujah!
The Continuation of Christ is Prophesied by Micah: His Goings forth are from Ancient Times, from the Days of Eternity
Micah 5:2 is a wonderful verse prophesying concerning the continuation of Christ. In the last part of this verse, Micah says, His goings forth are from ancient times, from the days of eternity.
Here we see a prophecy concerning the incarnation of Christ in Bethlehem, and not only; the goings forth are still going on today.
Christ’s goings forth are from ancient times; He went forth in His incarnation, human living, death, and resurrection, and now He is still going forth.
As the Spirit in His resurrection, Christ is still going forth in our spirit; then He goes forth in all the parts of our soul until we are fully sonized, fully deified to become the New Jerusalem, the bride, the wife of the Lamb. Hallelujah!
Christ’s goings forth, His appearing, is a continuous matter. He began to come forth at the time of His incarnation, and He continued to go forth through His human living, His death, His resurrection, His ascension, His outpouring of the consummated Christ, and His spreading through the gospel.
The consummated Spirit is the reality of Christ Himself, and He is continuing to go forth through the preaching of the gospel to the whole inhabited earth.
All of these are great steps in Christ’s going forth. His goings forth did not cease with the Lord’s ascension; He continues to go forth today!
Christ’s going forth, His manifestation, will consummate when He comes back with the overcomers as the mighty ones (Joel 3:11) to defeat Antichrist and cast him into the lake of fire (Rev. 19:19-20), when Satan is cast into the abyss (20:2-3), and when Christ sets up His throne to reign as King (Matt. 25:31, 34, 40). Amen!
It is at that time that His appearing will be complete. Today we as believers in Christ are part of the continuation of Christ, Christ’s going forth in humanity.
And one day, the mighty ones will descend with Christ to end this age! The mighty ones are the overcomers; they are produced by Christ’s going forth to be one with Him to defeat Antichrist and cast him into the lake of fire.
Subjectively and personally, Christ is going forth in us today and day by day as we open to Him, enjoy Him, and allow Him to make His home in our heart.
He wants to go forth in our mind, emotion, and will to fill us, saturate us, and possess us, so that He may go forth from within us to flow into others also, thus continuing His going forth and obtaining the continuation of Christ.
As He is going forth in us, He is also being stitched into our being, becoming our wedding garment for us to be dressed with when the Lord comes back and we join Him as His armies to defeat the enemy.
May we open to the Lord today to allow Him to go forth in us until He will consummate His goings forth!
Lord Jesus, thank You for going forth in Your incarnation, human living, death, resurrection and outpouring of the Spirit! Hallelujah, Christ’s going forth is from ancient times, from the days of eternity, and His goings forth reached us! Praise the Lord, we are now the continuation of Christ, for He is going forth in us. Amen, Lord, thank You for reaching our spirit in Your going forth; go forth from our spirit into our mind, emotion, and will to fill and saturate our entire being. Amen, Lord, flow in us and flow out from us into others as the gospel for You to gain the continuation of Christ on the earth today! Hallelujah, Christ’s goings forth will consummate when He comes back with the overcomers as the mighty ones to defeat Antichrist and cast him into the lake of fire! Praise the Lord, Satan will be cast into the abyss and Christ will set up His throne to reign as King! Hallelujah! Go forth in us, dear Lord, and live in us today!

Isa. 53:11, footnote 1, Recovery Version Bible
Dear brother, the continuation of Christ in the book of Acts is prophesied in the Bible, as seen in Isaiah and in Micah.
Micah says that His goings forth are from ancient times, from the days of eternity; Christ’s going forth is a continuous matter, and He is going forth in us today!
He travailed on the earth on the cross, but now He sees the fruit of His travail, which is us, His seed, the extension of His days!
At the time of the Lord’s incarnated, He began to come forth. He then went through a process to become the life-giving Spirit, and now is going forth in us today.
We are all members of one body, who constitutes the church as the body of Christ.
Amen, Christ continues to come for and will continue to come forth until He has defeated Satan and cast Him in the lake of fire.
Christ is extending Himself today through the believers as the many members to constitute the church as the body of Christ.
Amen brother. Christ is extending His days so that His bride will make herself ready by the washing of the water in the word.
Many believers are stuck on the matter of the blood. We need to see that, after having been washed by Christ’s blood, our greatest need is the living word that sanctifies & purifies the church.
All the false testimony, defects and oldness must be washed away by the living water in the living word. the Lord will not come back for a dead and dirty bride. Hallelujah!
Christ will build His church and at least some of His people in this age will arrive at the oneness of the faith, a full-grown man, and the fullness of Christ (His expression).
Aaameen!
To establish justice in the earth means to establish God’s salvation as the issue of God’s judgement on Christ!
Wow, Christ will come again when He finishes the establishing of God’s justice, God’s salvation, justification as the judicial part and the impartation of life as the organic part!
Hallelujah!
Yes, Lord…today…today…today!!!
What a mercy to see the continuation of Christ in the book of Acts.
His goings forth from eternity are the extension of His days through incarnation, human living, death, resurrection and ascension, to become the life-giving Spirit, the pneumatic Christ, as the one grain becoming the many grains His increase, Himself reproduced in all His believers as a seed through God’s full salvation, to be members of the Body, the one bread which is the church, the corporate expression of Christ, the one new man!
Hallelujah! Today Christ is extending His days through us as members of His Body!

we are indeed the continuation of Christ—the fruit of His travail, His seed, His extension. His goings forth are from eternity past, and now they continue in us, day by day, moment by moment. What a privilege it is to be part of His ongoing move and divine history!
May the Lord continue to live in us, move through us, and be expressed in our daily walk.
In eternity Christ was concealed in His divinity, but through incarnation He came forth with His divinity into humanity. Christ’s going forth, His appearing, is a continuous matter. From the time of His incarnation, He began to come forth, and His coming forth is still taking place today. Christ’s coming forth will be consummated when He throws Antichrist and the false prophet into the lake of fire (Rev. 19:19-20), when Satan is cast into the abyss (Rev. 20:2-3), and when Christ sets up His throne to reign as King (Matt. 25:31, 34, 40). At that time His appearing will be complete. But today He is still on the way. (Life-Study of Micah, Chapter 2)
