The book of Acts reveals the all-inclusive Christ in many aspects for our experience and enjoyment, and in this portion, we want to see that Christ is the Author of life, not just the Healer but the source of life, and Christ is God’s Servant, the One in whom all families on earth are blessed. What a wonderful Christ we have!
He’s the all-inclusive One, and we can enjoy and experience Him; we can also minister Him as such a One to others for their participation and enjoyment.
On the one hand, in Acts we see the resurrected Christ and the ascended Christ, the One who was raised by God and who now is enthroned in the heavens.
On the other hand, the Christ the apostles preached was all-inclusive, ready to meet all our needs and to accomplish God’s economy on the earth. Hallelujah for the all-inclusive Christ!
The apostles didn’t just mention Christ in different aspects; they applied Christ to the experience of those around them, they ministered this Christ to them for others to enjoy and partake of, and they flowed out Christ in many different ways and aspects.
May we read the book of Acts with the glasses of God’s economy on so that we may see who Christ is. To God, Christ is everything; He is the Father’s delight, the One in whom the Father finds His pleasure.
He is the Firstborn Son of God in resurrection, and He is the One who is preached among the nations for the propagation of Christ.
God loves Christ and delights in Christ to such an extent that He wants this Christ to be reproduced in millions of human beings so that they may be conformed to the image of Christ.
Christ is God’s centrality and universality; all that God is, all that God has, and all that God does is focused on Christ.
God created all things by means of Christ, who was the active instrument of God’s creation, and God wants to head up all things in Christ.
This wonderful Christ is not only the instrument and means of God’s creation, the centre, and the reality of all positive things, but even more, He is our portion, and He has many aspects and is revealed in many ways for our enjoyment and experience today.
On the one hand, we need to know, enjoy, experience, and express Christ as the resurrected and ascended One.
On the other hand, we need to be filled with Christ, know Him in His all-inclusiveness, and minister this Christ to others so that they may be regenerated, grow in life, and be perfected to function in their measure for the building up of the church as the Body of Christ. Amen!
Christ is the Author of Life – the Origin or Originator of Life for the Propagation of Christ as Life
In Acts 3 we see the story of Peter and John going to pray at the temple, and a lame man was healed by the Lord through them. The lame man began leaping and praising God, and all the people saw him and recognised him; they were amazed and praised God.
Peter told them not to be marvelled at this, for it was God who raised him and healed him. Then he said in v. 15, And the Author of life you killed, whom God has raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. Hallelujah! Christ is the Author of life.
The all-inclusive Christ is not just the Healer but even more, the Author of life. The Greek word for “Author” is archegos, which means “author, origin, originator, chief leader, captain.”
Christ is the Author of life, the origin of life, the Originator of life, the Chief Leader of life, and the Captain of life. The One who heals us and cares for us is the Origin of life, the Author of life.
He is not just the Prince of life, as the King James version says; He’s the very source, origin, even the originator of life, the Author of life. We human beings have life, the human life; the Author of life is Christ, for He’s the source and originator of life.
Even more, we believers in Christ have the divine life; God the Father is the source of life, and Christ is the Author of life. In Him was life, and life was the light of men (John 1:4).
He came to be life (John 11:25), even the tree of life. He laid down His life so that we may have life and may have it abundantly (10:10).
Christ came as the Author of life so that He may propagate Himself into us and through us. In Acts 3 we see the imparting of life into others, which is to propagate Christ.
For such a propagation, we need the Lord as the Author of life, the source of life.
As we cooperate with the Lord to preach the gospel and witness the resurrected Christ to others, we need to realise that Christ is the Author of life. We need to be one with the Lord to minister life to others.
We minister the Author of zoe (divine life) to others. He is the true origin and originator of life. May we not merely read the Bible in a shallow way and think we understand what it means, thus missing the “gold mines” in the Bible regarding the all-inclusive Christ.
May we learn to drop any concepts and traditional theology and come back to the Bible, the divine revelation in God’s word.
May we prayerfully consider the matter of Christ being the Author of life; Lord, what does this mean and how can we enjoy You as such a One?
He is the righteous One, the Healer, and the holy One; He has not only the power to heal but even more, He’s the origin of life. Christ is the Originator of life; when we receive and enjoy Him as life, we are healed.
Doctors can tell us that when we’re weak in life, we become ill; when we are not eating healthily, our human life is weak, it is easy to become ill. But if we are strong in life, life will swallow up death.
When we grow in life in a normal way day by day by eating the Lord Jesus as the bread of life and drinking the Spirit as the water of life, we are strong in life, and we enjoy and experience Christ as the Author of life.
The divine life in us will swallow up any death and any problems. Praise the Lord! The Jewish people killed the Author of life, Jesus Christ, but even though He was killed, God raised Him from the dead! Praise the Lord!
No one can kill the Author of life, for He is life itself; even more, He’s resurrection life, and His life overcomes any death! Hallelujah!
Regarding Christ as a man, the New Testament says that God raised Him from the dead. But regarding Him as God, we are told that Christ Himself rose from the dead (Rom. 14:9)
. The apostles were witnesses of His resurrection and bore witness to His resurrection for the carrying out of God’s New Testament economy.
When we believe into the Lord Jesus, when we have faith in His name (Acts 3:16), we are healed, life comes into our being, and we experience Christ as the Author of life. May we know and enjoy Christ as the Author of life today.
May we simply repent and return to Him, enjoying Him as life and allowing Him as life to grow in us! And may we cooperate with the Lord to propagate this Christ into others so that they may enjoy the holy and righteous One, Christ as the Author of life!
Lord Jesus, unveil us to see Christ as the Author of life. Hallelujah, Jesus Christ is the Author of life, the Originator of life! Amen, Lord, we take You as the source of the divine life. We come to You to enjoy You and experience You as life so that we may grow in life and be healed. Amen, Lord, heal us by dispensing more of Your life into us. Dispense Yourself into us as life a little more today. Spread in us as life. Cause Your life in us to grow. Oh Lord, we come to You as we are. We open to You. You are the holy One and the righteous One, and You are the origin of life. We come to You to receive more of Your life. Amen, Lord, You are the resurrection and the life, and You came so that we may have life and may have it abundantly! Grow in us as life. May Your life in us grow and swallow up any sickness, problem, and disease. Fill us with Your life and flow through us to others. Have a way to propagate Yourself through us as life!
Christ is God’s Servant and the Seed of Abraham for God to Bless us and Give Himself to us
In Acts 3:25-26, we see that Christ is God’s servant and the seed of Abraham for us to receive the Spirit as the blessing of the gospel.
Peter used the opportunity of the lame man being healed by the Lord through him to preach the gospel and unveil Christ as the Author of life and as God’s Servant and the seed of Abraham.
He used many portions in the Old Testament to show that God is sending seasons of refreshing when we repent, and He sent Christ as a Prophet who speaks the word of God and brings people to God.
Then, Peter said that Christ is the seed of Abraham in whom all the nations of the earth are blessed, and Christ is God’s Servant.
What does it mean for Christ to be God’s Servant and the seed of Abraham? To the Jews first, God, having raised up His Servant, has sent Him to bless them in turning each one of them from their wicked deeds (v. 26).
As the Seed of Abraham and the Servant of God, Christ is the One in whom all the families of the earth will be blessed. Amen!
Christ is the One in whom all the races, all the colours, all the nationalities, and all the peoples are blessed!
He is not only the Author of life – He comes and gives us the blessing when we repent and turn to Him to receive Him as life! How blessed we are when we receive Christ by believing into Him!
The real blessing is not material things or outward matters; the real blessing is God Himself in Christ as the Spirit coming to us to be our life and our everything.
Christ came as God’s Servant to serve us with Himself, to give Himself to us as our blessing (Gal. 3:14, 16).
When we believe into Christ, we enjoy the blessing. Outside of Christ, we cannot inherit the promise given by God to Abraham, but when we’re in Christ by faith in Him, we inherit the blessing.
Praise the Lord, we believers in Christ are a blessed people, for we have Christ as the blessing of Abraham with us!
Christ is God’s Servant – He was sent back by God in ascension first to the Jews by pouring out His Spirit on the day of Pentecost.
The very Spirit whom God poured out is the very Christ whom God raised and exalted to the heavens (Acts 2:33; 3:13-15, 25-26). What a wonderful Christ we have!
He has been exalted to the right hand of God and has received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, and He poured Himself out upon the Body of Christ as the blessing.
Praise the Lord, the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, has glorified His Servant Jesus, who is the Author of Life, and He has come to us as the blessing! In Him we are blessed.
The real blessing is this wonderful Spirit who is the pneumatic Christ being poured out upon His people.
Every day we need to come to the Lord in His word and enjoy Him by spending time with Him. We need to open our whole being to Him, let Him fill us, and let Him bless us with Himself.
Yes, Christ came as the blessing, and yes, He is the Servant of God and the Author of life; however, we need to spend time with Him and enjoy Him, otherwise He is not such a One to us.
May we spend time with the Lord day by day to enjoy Him as the blessing of the gospel, and may we allow Christ as God’s Servant infuse us with all that God is as our blessing.
Lord Jesus, we love You and we open to You. We praise You for coming as God’s Servant to serve God and to serve us. Thank You for accomplishing an all-inclusive redemption for us on the cross. Oh Lord, we praise You for coming to die for us and be resurrected to become a life-giving Spirit! Hallelujah, Christ as the Spirit is the blessing of the gospel, and we today can enjoy Him as such a One! Amen, Lord, we open to You today! We open to enjoy You and partake of You as the blessing! Praise the Lord, in Christ as the blessing all the families of the earth are blessed! We turn to You, Lord, and we repent for our wicked deeds. We turn to our spirit and we want to spend time with You in Your word so that You may infuse us with all that You are. We open our whole being to You. We allow You to fill us. Bless us with Yourself. Saturate us with all that You are. Hallelujah, in Christ all the families of the earth are blessed! Praise the Lord, we can enjoy Christ as God’s Servant to partake of God’s blessing today!

Life-study of Acts, pp. 102-103, by Witness Lee
Dear brother, Christ is the Author of life! He not only comes to heal us but even more, He became the Author of life!
Though man put Him to death, He could not be held by it! In His resurrection, He came to impart Himself into us, and now He is propagating Himself through us!
He’s the righteous One and the holy One, and He is the origin of life.
Our resurrected, ascended and all-inclusive Jesus is the servant of God, the holy One, the righteous One, the Author of life and the Prophet.
Christ’s death was not an historical accident but an act planned by God according to the purpose of His good pleasure, and announced beforehand by the prophets.
We believers should drop traditional theology and come back to the pure speaking of God in the Bible.
We need to see that always we should seek the Lord as the source of life and the originator of all the divine attributes which can become our divinely-human virtues.
Let’s take the land, brother!
Christ is the Author of life. He is the source, the origin, the originator and chief leader. Because He is life, He is also the Healer.
His imparting Himself as life heals, on the ground of faith in His name.
Through His crucifixion and resurrection He became the Spirit to be poured out as the ascended Christ.
Amen, we see the Lord Jesus is the servant, the Holy one, the righteous one, the Author of life and the Prophet.
Author denotes the origin and originator of life, healing and imparting life into the believers.
When we have life we also have healing. If we are strong in life, life will swallow up death.
Ameeen!!!
What a Christ!!!
The Christ revealed in Acts is not only the resurrected and ascended Christ but the all-inclusive One. Not only is Christ in resurrection and in ascension, He is all-inclusive.
As the all-inclusive Christ, He is the Healer, God’s Servant, the Holy and Righteous One, the Author of life, and the Prophet.
Amen brother! Christ is the Author of life. His being the Author, Source, and Originator of life should not only be seen in Acts 3 as a matter only of Healing, but also of imparting His life into others for propagation of Christ through His disciples/faithful believers. How we need to be filled with Christ to impart to others!
As the Holy One, Christ is our holiness that we may be sanctified, transformed & conformed to His image. As the Righteous One, He becomes our righteousness, meeting all God’s requirements for us to be justified and be complete in Him!
Today, Christ is God’s Servant, and the seed of Abraham in whom all the families of the earth, regardless of our races & and nationalities, will be blessed! (Act 3: 25-26). We have this blessing in the outpouring of the Spirit by God, from the ascended & exalted Christ. Hallelujah!
Praise the Lord that enjoying the Redeeming death of Christ through His sufferings had also been prophesied through the prophets of old.
Hallelujah, this Christ meets our every need as the All-inclusive One! He’s the Author & Source of life, the Redeemer for our redemption, the Righteous One for our righteousness, the Holy One for our holiness, God’s Servant in whom all the families of the earth is blessed, our Prophet full of sight, our All & in All! We need to be filled with, & propagate this All-inclusive One, Who will bring us through to glory!
Christ as the author of life denotes that He is the source and originator of life.
We need to see and experience Christ as the author of life to propagate Christ.
As a result, we will be strong in life, as this life within us will swallow up death.
