The Lord Jesus is the Author of faith; He is the Originator, the Inaugurator, the source, and the cause of faith, for our faith as believers is not our own faith but Christ being infused into us to be our faith, even to be our believing ability as we look to Him and are infused with Him.
Oh Lord Jesus, we look away from everything else unto You! Infuse us with Yourself as our faith! We love You and we open to You! We acknowledge that we have no faith in ourselves, but we open! Amen, Lord, be our faith! Transfuse us with Yourself as our believing ability! Amen!
We believers in Christ are those who have seen something of Christ, and He infused us with Himself as our faith; now our Christian life is a life by faith, a life in the faith of the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself up for us.
Our Christian life is a race, for every believer in Christ has been brought into the course of the Christian life to run the race with endurance.
What is this race that we are running? The race is the way, and the way is Christ; Christ is our race, and we pursue Christ to gain Christ, even to gain the highest enjoyment and experience of Christ as the reward.
The Lord Jesus ran the race with endurance, He led the way into glory, He suffered, He was persecuted, and He lived within the veil and outside the camp. He pioneered the way of faith, living by faith day by day; He lived in the organic union with the Father every day, depending not on Himself but on what the Father spoke and intended.
The apostle Paul also ran the race with endurance; he was brought into the Christian race by being converted to Christ, and he ran with endurance the race set before him.
He kept running, even though he was in prison, and it is only at the end of his life he had the assurance that he had arrived, he would be rewarded, and the Lord would award him the prize. We cannot say we are there.
We are still running the race. We run the race by putting aside any encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us.
And we run the race with endurance so that we may gain the prize! We pray that the Lord would direct our hearts into the love of God and into the endurance of Christ.
We do not have endurance in ourselves; we may be enduring in our natural man, but the endurance we need to run the race comes only from our enjoyment and experience of Christ.
May we come to the Lord, look to Him, be infused with Him, and run the race with endurance!
Jesus is the Author of Faith – He’s the Originator, Inaugurator, Source, and Cause of Faith

When we consider the matter of faith, as seen in Hebrews 12:2, we need to realise that Jesus is the Author of faith. He is the Author of faith, the Originator, the Inaugurator, the source, and the cause of faith.
Many times we may think that faith is something like a motivation from within us. We may think that we come up with faith, for we are a bit more seeking, and somehow we love God and the things of God, so we have faith.
We may think that, if we have some doubts, if we have some misgivings about Christ, about the Bible, about the Christian life, or about what we are being taught, we just need more faith.
We may think that we just need to strengthen our faith, as if this is something that we can develop in ourselves.
This matter of faith has been misunderstood and misused a lot in Christianity today and throughout the ages.
We need to come back to the word of God and see what the Bible says concerning faith.
The New Testament tells us that Jesus is the Author of faith. In our natural man we have no believing ability; we don’t have faith in ourselves, nor can we produce faith out of what we think, decide, or feel.
Rather, the faith by which we are saved is the precious faith that we have received from the Lord (2 Pet. 1:1).
God allots each one of us faith – faith has been allotted to each one of us, and this faith is equally precious in the righteousness of our God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Faith is not of ourselves. We don’t build up faith. We don’t strengthen ourselves to have faith. Rather, when we look unto Jesus, He as the life-giving Spirit (1 Cor. 15:45), transfuses us with Himself as our faith, even to be the believing element in us.
When we see the Lord, faith arises in our being, so we simply believe.
When we read the New Testament and see the Lord Jesus in the Gospels, we see that the life He lived was a life of faith, and the path He walked was a path of faith.
Jesus is the Author of faith and the source of faith. Jesus is the Leader, the Pioneer, and the Forerunner of faith.
He cut the way of faith, He lived by faith, and He is the Forerunner, taking the lead to pioneer the way of faith.
We have no faith in ourselves; rather, we are born in sin, and by default, we do not believe but rather trust ourselves and do things apart from the Lord.
Unbelief is the fibre of our very constitution in our natural man. Because of the fall, we are constituted as unbelievers; there is no faith in our being.
Even as believers in Christ, unless we turn our eyes upon Jesus and behold Him in His word and in our spirit, we have no faith in ourselves.
There’s no believing element in us unless we are being infused with the Lord as faith.
In ourselves, it is impossible for us to meet the New Testament requirements of faith (Gal. 1:16).
May we come back to the divine revelation in God’s word to see what faith is and how we can have faith.
May we realise that the faith through which we are saved is not of ourselves; we receive it as a gift from God (Eph. 2:8).
We believers in Christ receive faith as a gift from God, for God is the source and Giver of faith, and we’re the recipients of faith.
God puts something in us, as we open to Him and exercise our spirit to touch Him, and this is called faith. We are being allotted faith equally precious; faith is precious because it has been given to us by God.
The more we turn to God, the more we contact God, the more faith we have. Jesus is the Author of faith.
Lord Jesus, unveil us to see that Jesus is the Author of faith! Amen, Lord, we want to look away unto Jesus right now! We look away from ourselves, from the things around us, and from everything else unto Jesus! Infuse us with Yourself more today. Transfuse Yourself into us and generate the believing ability in us! We look to You, dear Lord, for You are the source of our faith! Hallelujah, Christ cut the way of faith! Praise the Lord, Jesus is the Forerunner on the pathway of faith, for in His life and path, He originated faith! Oh Lord, may we see that we do not have faith in ourselves. May we realise that in our natural being we have only unbelief. May we turn from ourselves and look to You! Praise the Lord, we have been allotted faith equally precious! Amen, Lord, we receive the gift of faith! We exercise our spirit to look to You and enjoy You as our faith! We open to You, Lord, and we receive faith. We receive You as our faith. We just want to contact You to be infused with faith!
Our Faith as Believers is not our Own Faith but Christ Entering into us to be our Faith

Many times we believers in Christ who love the Lord and seek to enjoy Him realise that we have no faith; when we wake up in the morning, we do not wake up loving the Lord or seeking Him but rather, we feel that our heart is far away from the Lord.
Throughout the day, similarly, we feel that we have no faith. So we may try harder to do things to please God, even to read the Bible, go to meetings, pray, etc, thinking that in this way of struggling to please the Lord, we will have more faith.
We need to realise, however, that the faith of the believers is not actually their own faith but Christ entering into them to be their faith (Rom. 3:22; Gal. 2:16).
Our believing is not of ourselves; it is our appreciation of Christ as a reaction to His attraction (Rom. 10:17). Faith is simply Christ Himself, and this Christ is infused into us to become our faith.
Even before we were saved, we had some feeling or appreciation for Christ; we might have read the Bible or heard the gospel, and we had an appreciation for this lovely One. We may have heard that He died for us, and we were touched, for we appreciated Him in His love for us.
When we believe into the Lord Jesus, when the Lord touched us and our heart opened to Him, we simply had faith, because He infuses Himself into us to be our faith.
Faith rises up in us whenever we hear the word of faith; when we are under the hearing of the Word of God, faith is infused into us and we simply believe.
This is what differentiates us from the unbelievers; we have received the gift of faith, for by the Lord’s mercy we opened to the Lord and Christ entered into us to be our faith.
In our natural man, none of us has any believing ability, for we have no faith in ourselves.
However, when we open to the Lord and are under the hearing of faith by His word, we receive Christ, and He becomes in us our God-allotted faith (2 Pet. 1:1; Col. 1:12).
When we look away unto Jesus, He as the life-giving Spirit transfuses us with Himself, with His believing element.
Jesus is the Author of faith. He is the Originator of faith. Without Christ, there is no faith.
The unique requirement in the New Testament is faith; all the Lord wants from us is for us to believe.
But how can we believe into Him? It is only by the hearing of the faith.
When we hear the gospel, when Christ is presented to us as the most wonderful One, the living One upon whom we may look and whom we may receive, we are infused with faith, and we just believe.
When we look upon the Lord Jesus, He as the living person is impressed into us – not merely into our mind and heart but even more, into the deepest part of our being, our spirit.
Our faith is our appreciation as a reaction to His heavenly attraction. And this is something that should take place daily.
We don’t only receive faith initially; we need to be receiving Christ as our faith constantly.
The believing ability is in us only when we look away from everything else unto Jesus! He’s the Author of faith, and he infuses us with Himself as faith.
This is why we should never underestimate our testimony concerning the Lord to others.
Whenever we speak Christ, when we speak well of Christ and infuse Christ into others, we can inject the listener with Christ to be their faith.
Even though that person may not believe right there and then, faith has been infused into him, and the Lord will operate into him.
Many times we may testify to our friends and colleagues, sharing with them about the Lord Jesus whom we love, and they may just shrug their shoulders and say, Fine, and it seems that nothing is happening.
However, we simply need to believe into the Lord Jesus who has a way to flow through us to others, believing that He will operate in others to infuse faith into them.
We can only testify of Him before others, and it’s up to God to operate in them.
Faith is not of ourselves but of Him who imparts Himself as the believing element into us so that He may believe for us.
When the Lord Jesus was on earth and others came to Him to be healed, the Lord would say, Your faith has healed you.
It was the Lord who healed them, but He said that their faith healed them.
In Mark 10, for example, the blind man heard the Lord passing and said, Oh Jesus of Nazareth, heal me! The Lord stopped, spoke to him, and then said, Your faith has healed you.
What is this? This is Christ infusing Himself through His word into him to become his faith, and this healed him. Wow!
May we come to the Lord again and again throughout the day, opening to Him and telling Him everything, and may we let Him infuse us with faith, for Jesus is the Author of faith!
Lord Jesus, we open to You. Infuse us with Yourself a little more today. We just let You transfuse Yourself into us so that You may become our believing ability. Oh Lord, may we see that faith is simply Christ as our believing element and ability! Amen, Lord, may we come to You again and again as we are, turning our heart to You and exercising our spirit to touch You, so that we may receive You and enjoy You as our faith! Amen, Lord, we give up our striving and struggling to please God. We put ourselves aside. We do not look at our failures and mistakes. We simply look away unto Jesus! Hallelujah, faith is not of ourselves but of Christ who imparts Himself as the believing element into us so that He may believe for us! Amen, Jesus is the Author of faith! We look away unto Jesus so that He as the life-giving Spirit transfuses us with Himself, with His believing element! Amen, Lord, though we have no ability in our natural man, we turn to You! Infuse us with Yourself today! Flow through us today so that we may speak You into others for You to become their faith, their believing ability!

Hymns on this topic:
– In a low dungeon, hope we had none; / Tried to believe, but faith didn’t come; / God, our sky clearing, Jesus appearing, / We by God were transfused! / We by God were transfused! / Propitiation made by the blood, / Jesus’ redemption bought us for God! / No condemnation, justification! / We have peace toward God! / We have peace toward God! (Hymns #1131 stanza 1 and chorus)
– Given us, given us, God has given us / Precious faith, power divine, greatest promises. / We believed, we received, now we have all three; / By these we may grow unto maturity. /Precious faith in each saint, precious equally, / Precious faith holding us, holding ceaselessly. / Disagree or agree, still it holds us fast, / Day by day, eternally this faith shall last. (Hymns #1211 stanzas 1-2)
– Look away from all the past—Hallelujah, / Look away from both the good and sin; / To the living One hold fast—Hallelujah, / Look away from everything to Him. / Look away into His face—Hallelujah, / He who’ll finish what He did begin. / O what grace to run the race—Hallelujah— / We obtain by looking off to Him! (Hymns #1206 stanzas 4-5)

The Conclusion of the New Testament, pp. 3827-3829, by Witness Lee
Dear brother, the Author of faith, the Originator of our faith, is Christ Himself.
We have no faith in ourselves. But when we see Him in His word, when we enjoy Him, He infuses Himself into us as faith, and He transfuses us with Himself; we simply believe! The faith is of Jesus Christ.
We need to come to the Lord again and again, not just in the morning but throughout the day, to be infused with Him as faith!
Aaameeen! Unbelief is the fiber of our constitution.
Hence, in ourselves it is impossible to meet the New Testament requirement of faith (Gal. 1:16).
The more we turn to God and contact Him, the more faith we have.
Dear brother, in ourselves, our natural man we have no believing ability, but when the Lord Jesus entered into us, as we were attracted by Him, He became the author, the source and cause of our faith. Hallulejah!
Now, as we contact Him through His word and by calling on His name He transfuses and infuses us more and more with faith, He Himself becoming our believing ability.
Praise the Lord!
Faith comes from hearing and hearing from the word of Christ!
Amen, Lord Jesus be our faith today. Oh Lord, may we look deeply for You, we have no faith in ourselves. We turn to You, we love You
Yes, brother, we have no faith in ourselves. Christ Himself is the only believing One, and we must live by Him as our faith.
The more we turn to the Lord and contact Him, the more faith we have.
Genuine faith is believing in Jesus by His faith.
If we look at ourselves, we will never find faith. May we look away unto Jesus…
Unbelief is the fibre of our fallen man, whereas the source of faith is of Christ.
So we need to turn to Him more to live by faith! (Gal. 2:20). Jesus is the Originator of faith, and He lived a life of faith.
As such, when we open to Him, the faith that is His is imparted into us.
When we look away unto Him, He transfuses Himself into us as the believing element. So this faith is not of/from us, it is the God-allotted faith.
Don’t be ashamed of your faith, saints! We should testify about our faith to others to inject faith into them.

Ameeen!!!
All the overcoming saints in the Old Testament are only witnesses of faith, whereas our dear Lord Jesus is the Author of faith.
He is the Originator, the Inaugurator, the source, and the cause of faith. In our natural man we have no believing ability. We do not have faith by ourselves.
As a matter of fact, unbelief is the fiber of our constitution. Hence, in ourselves, it is impossible to meet the New Testament requirement of faith. The faith by which we are saved is the precious faith that we have received from the Lord.
When we look unto Jesus, He as the life-giving Spirit transfuses us with Himself, with His believing element. Then, spontaneously, a kind of believing arises in our being, and we have the faith to believe in Him.
This faith is not of ourselves but of Him who imparts Himself as the believing element into us that He may believe for us. He Himself is our faith. We live by Him as our faith.
As the Author and the source of faith, Jesus is also the Leader, the Pioneer, and the Forerunner of faith. He cut the way of faith and, as the Forerunner, took the lead to pioneer it.
Hence, He can carry us in His footsteps through the pathway of faith. As we look to Him as the Originator of faith in His life and in His path on earth, and as the Perfecter of faith in His glory and on His throne in heaven, He transfuses and even infuses us with the faith that He originated and perfected.
