The Lord Jesus is our Emmanuel, and we live with Christ as Emmanuel by being in His divine presence, which is the life-giving Spirit with our spirit; we live, yet not us by ourselves but by Christ living in us and with us as Emmanuel, for He’s our life and person and we are His expression!
Amen, Lord, thank You for being so real, so near, and so dear to us: You are right within us as our Emmanuel! Hallelujah, Jesus Christ is our Emmanuel as the Spirit of reality with our spirit! We turn to You. We open to You. We want to live one spirit with You. Live in us today. Be expressed through us. May our being with others be the expression of Emmanuel, God with us! Amen!
Jesus is the name given to Christ by God, and Emmanuel is the name given by man. When Christ was born, He was called Jesus, which means Jehovah our Saviour and our salvation.
When others saw Him, touched Him, heard Him, and were with Him, they said, Emmanuel, God with us.
He was not just here to save us or heal us; He was the very presence of God with us. And this did not stop when He died on the cross; rather, through His death He redeemed us and opened the way for us to enter into God and be one with God, and in His resurrection He became a life-giving Spirit!
Now as the life-giving Spirit, the pneumatic Christ, He is with our spirit. He is like the air, wherever we are, ready to be breathed in and enjoyed. We can just call on His name, Oh Lord Jesus, and we receive the person of that name.
When we call on the name of Jesus, we sense the presence of God with us, Emmanuel.
The Lord Jesus promised us that He will not leave us orphans but will come back to us, and He came back to us in His resurrection as another Comforter, the Spirit of reality.
We believers in Christ in the twenty-first century did not see Christ with our physical eyes nor did we touch Him with our hands, but we can see Him, touch Him, and enjoy Him in spirit, for He is the Spirit of reality with our spirit.
Today the practical Emmanuel is the Spirit of reality as the presence of the consummated Triune God in our spirit.
Every genuine believer in Christ has Emmanuel in his spirit, for Christ is our Emmanuel, and we live one spirit with Him whenever we turn to Him, exercise our spirit to be with Him, and let Him live in us.
He is with us until the consummation of the age. He is with us whenever we meet in His name. And He is with us whenever we come to His word. Hallelujah, Jesus is our Emmanuel, God with us!
Jesus as Emmanuel is the Spirit of Reality with our Spirit to be Practical and Living to us and In Us

We may think we understand that the Lord is with us, but we need to dwell on this matter and be before the Lord to be unveiled and see this reality.
There is another person living in us; Jesus as our Emmanuel, lives in us. The Gospel of Matthew is a book on Emmanuel – from the first chapter to the last chapter, Jesus is Emmanuel.
He was God with man; when others saw Jesus, they realised it is God there among them, being with them and living with them. This happened throughout His life and ministry on earth.
Even after His death and resurrection, the Lord Jesus said that He is with us until the consummation of the age (Matt. 28:20). He is our Emmanuel today also.
How is Jesus with us? How can the historical Jesus be with us today? Is it just in our thoughts, in our heart, or in our imagination?
According to John 14:16-20, the Lord Jesus as our Emmanuel went through death and came back in His resurrection as the Spirit of reality.
He is now the Spirit of reality – whom the world cannot receive, for they don’t know Him, but we can receive Him, we can know Him, and He abides in us and is in us. Wow!
When we were regenerated, we were born of God; God gave us the right and the authority to be called children of God, those who are born of God (John 1:12-13).
Furthermore, what is born of the flesh is flesh, but what is born of the Spirit is spirit (John 3:6). We were born of God, born of the Spirit, to be spirit.
We are one spirit with the Lord (1 Cor. 6:17). The Spirit of reality is in our spirit, mingled with our spirit, to guide us into the reality of all that God in Christ is to us.
Christ as our Emmanuel is the Spirit of reality with our spirit.
The disciples may have thought that the Lord Jesus will continue to be with them physically, and they were happy; so the Lord spent forty days with them after His resurrection, teaching them to live in His invisible presence.
We believers in Christ have Christ with us, even in us, as our Emmanuel; He is not physically with us but He is with us spiritually, even in our spirit, as the Spirit of reality.
Jesus as Emmanuel is the Spirit of reality with our spirit to be practical and living to us and in us.
He is our Comforter; He comforts us, He guides us, He shows us the way, and He also leads us into the enjoyment of Himself with all His riches. The Spirit of reality with our spirit is Emmanuel.
In the book of Acts and in the Epistles we see that the Spirit of reality is the very presence of the consummated Triune God in our spirit.
Our Christian life is a life in the mingled spirit, a life in the union and communion of the divine Spirit and the human spirit.
God cannot dispense Himself into us unless He comes in us; He cannot just be outside of us and dispense what He is into us.
So He comes in us and lives in us to be our practical Emmanuel, the Spirit of reality with our spirit.
Now the Triune God has come to dwell within as the wonderful Spirit in us. We are mingled with the Lord, we are one with Him as the life-giving Spirit in us.
Oh, He is the wonderful Spirit in us, and we are joined to Him as one spirit! God is in the Son, the Son is the Spirit now, and we are joined to Him, even one with Him, in our spirit!
May we see that Jesus as our Emmanuel is the Spirit of reality with our spirit so that we may enjoy and partake of God in a practical way, even to live one spirit with the Lord to be His expression today!
Lord Jesus, unveil us to see that we are one spirit with You! May we realise that Christ as our Emmanuel went through a process and was consummated to be the Spirit of reality! Wow, now the Spirit of reality is with our spirit, and we have the practical Emmanuel with our spirit! Amen, Lord, keep us in our spirit today. Keep us open to Your divine dispensing. Dispense more of God with His riches into our being. Lead us and guide us in our daily life. Guide us into all the reality of what Christ is to us. May we sense the Lord’s presence with us as we turn to our spirit. Praise the Lord, Jesus as our Emmanuel is the Spirit of reality with our spirit to be practical and living to us and in us! Amen, Lord, keep us turning to our spirit today! Keep us coming to the meetings of the church and to the word of God with the exercise of our spirit so that we may enjoy Jesus as our Emmanuel, the Spirit of reality with our spirit! Keep us contacting You in our human spirit today!
Live with Christ as Emmanuel by being in His Divine Presence, the Life-giving Spirit

If we see that Jesus is our Emmanuel as the Spirit of reality with our spirit, we will realise that He lives in us and we need to live with Christ as Emmanuel.
He came into us and He never leaves us; He is with us wherever we are, for He is Emmanuel, God with us.
How can we live with Christ as Emmanuel? To live with Christ, we need to be in His divine presence (Gal. 5:25), which is the life-giving Spirit, even the practical Jesus. The practical and real Jesus today is the life-giving Spirit, and this Spirit is in and with our spirit.
We need to see that we live with Christ; this doesn’t mean that we no longer live and now only Christ lives, while we’re put aside or wiped out. Rather, to live with Christ, we still live, yet not by ourselves alone but by Christ living in us and with us as Emmanuel.
This is what Paul testified in Galatians 2:20, a wonderful yet very mysterious verse: we live, yet Christ lives in us, and He lives, yet He lives in us and through us.
We take Christ as our person, and He lives in us. Today Christ as Emmanuel is the very life-giving Spirit, who is the consummated Triune God as His presence being with us moment by moment.
He’s not just outside of us operating in the world situation to arrange all things for the carrying out of His economy and the accomplishing of His administration; even more, He is the life-giving Spirit in and with our spirit.
We walk with Christ and live with Christ not in an outward way but inwardly in our spirit; this walk is day by day, even minute by minute.
We believers in Christ are special people: we have another Person living in us.
There’s another One who lives in us; Christ as Emmanuel is in us, and we live with Christ as Emmanuel by turning to our spirit and living in His divine presence.
We want to live in His presence today and every day. We live, yet not by ourselves but with Christ.
Many times when we’re by ourselves, we like to do certain things, watch certain things, and go to certain places; however, when we’re with someone else, we may not do those things, we may not watch those things, and we may not go to those places.
When we realise that Christ is in us as the life-giving Spirit, we will learn to live in His divine presence, the life-giving Spirit in and with our spirit.
When others gossip, we cannot gossip because we live with Christ, and He is our Emmanuel.
When others go to certain places and do certain things, we just can’t do them and we can’t partake of the same flood of dissoluteness as they do, for we live with Christ, and we treasure His divine presence.
Not many Christians, however, walk, live, speak, and do things with Emmanuel as the life-giving Spirit in their spirit.
They may think they have certain clarity so they may give their verdict or opinion on social issues, political issues, business issues, or family issues; however, you do not sense Emmanuel, God with us.
May we see that Emmanuel is our life and person, and we are His organ, living together with Him as one person.
Those around us are going in a certain direction according to the current trend and political or social movement, but we have Emmanuel as our life and person.
We are His expression, and He is the One living in us. We live together with the Lord as one person.
Our victory depends upon Emmanuel, the presence of Jesus. We live, yet it is not us who live, but Christ who lives in us.
He lives in us, we live with Him, and He is expressed through us, even as we live one with Him, for Jesus as our Emmanuel is in us.
If we have the Lord’s presence, we have wisdom, insight, foresight, and the inner knowledge concerning things (2 Cor. 2:10; 4:6-7; Gal. 5:25; Gen. 5:22-24; Heb. 11:5-6).
This is not so that we get involved in political movements or comment on social issues so that we solve the societal problems today, nor is this for us to try to help others in their family problems or in the church problems.
We simply live in the Lord’s presence, and His presence is everything to us.
May we forget about everything else and just focus on the Lord and His presence with us.
Instead of trying to overcome so many things that hinder us and surround us, may we focus on Emmanuel! May we see that Jesus as our Emmanuel is in us, and may we live in His divine presence day by day!
And when we fail, thank the Lord, we can confess our sins and have the right to eat of the tree of life and enter by the gates into the city (Rev. 22:14).
As long as we are enjoying the presence of Emmanuel, we are in victory; actually, He is our victory.
Instead of trying to overcome our weakness or our lust, may we focus on the person of Jesus as our Emmanuel, who saves us from our sin!
Lord Jesus, we want to live with Christ as Emmanuel today! Hallelujah, the Lord as the life-giving Spirit is with our spirit, and we are joined to the Lord as one spirit! Keep us in Your presence today, dear Lord. May we be in Your divine presence in all things. May we realise that we are not on our own and we do not live alone; we have Jesus as our Emmanuel with us, for God is with us. May we really see that the life-giving Spirit is with our spirit, and may we pay attention to our mingled spirit in all things. Amen, Lord, we live, yet not by ourselves but by Christ living in us and with us as Emmanuel! We don’t live in and by ourselves: we live one spirit with the Lord! Praise the Lord, Emmanuel is our life and person, and we are His organ. Amen, Lord, be expressed through us today. May we enjoy the presence of Jesus as our Emmanuel so that we may enjoy victory and release from any problems and sins! Amen, Lord, we focus not on our sins, our problems, our sufferings, or our failures but on the Lord Jesus as our Emmanuel, the life-giving Spirit in and with our spirit!

– Oh, what a life! Oh, what a peace! / The Christ who’s all within me lives. / With Him I have been crucified; / This glorious fact to me He gives. / Now it’s no longer I that live, / But Christ the Lord within me lives. / Now it’s no longer I that live, / But Christ the Lord within me lives. (Hymns #499 stanza 1)
– I am crucified with Jesus, / And He lives and dwells with me; / I have ceased from all my struggling, / ’Tis no longer I, but He. / All my will is yielding to Him, / And His Spirit reigns within; / And His precious blood each moment / Keeps me cleansed and free from sin. Dear brother, the Lord is with our spirit: the practical Jesus, our Emmanuel, is the Spirit of reality with our spirit!
For us to live with Christ as Emmanuel, we need to be in His divine presence, which is the life-giving Spirit.
This means that we still live, yet not by ourselves alone but by Christ living in us and with us as Emmanuel. May we realise that He is our life and person, and we are His expression, living together with Him as one person.
Ameeen.
Apostle Paul was on the right track, saying, “Is no longer I who lives but Emmanuel with Christ and me who lives in me.
We must learn to be kept, to be ruled, to be governed, to be guided simply by the direct presence of the Lord! Amen!
When we experience Jesus, He is Emmanuel, God with us.
Today the spirit of reality is Emmanuel. We must recognise that He is the other one inside us, walking and living with us.
The realisation that the Lord is present in our lives will change us. We must learn to calm our Lord Emmanuel, we need to experience Emmanuel as our life and person.
Hallelujah brother.
We have a comforter who wants to live in us and with us. His name is Emmanuel and He is the Spirit of reality.
We should walk, live, speak and do things with Emmanuel.
We need to experience Emmanuel living with us and in us by calling on His name.
If we have His presence, we have victory.
Although we may know the doctrine of Emmanuel, our Lord Jesus Christ as the Spirit of
Reality of the processed and consummated Triune God with our tripartite man, we may not have much experience or realisation in our daily living that this one is living in and with us. O Lord Jesus!
If we did, then this would change even the way we do our shopping and we would not gossip. We need to learn to call “Emmanuel” and sense His presence, realising we no longer live alone but live Him.
Such an experience would revolutionise our entire Christian life!
A very good hymn on this topic is, Hymns #493
1. O Lord, Thou art the Spirit now
That gives us life and quickens us,
With all Thy riches strengthening,
O how divine and glorious!
2. O Lord, Thou art the Spirit now
That with Thy power liberates;
And by Thy liberation true
The law of life now regulates.
3. O Lord, Thou art the Spirit now
That transforms us and saturates,
And to Thine image true conforms
And with Thy light illuminates.
4. O Lord, Thou art the Spirit now
Who in my spirit makes His home;
He mingles with my spirit too,
And both one spirit thus become.
5. Lord, teach me how to exercise
My spirit now to contact Thee,
That in Thy Spirit I may walk
And live by Thy reality.
