Living Stars are Messengers of the Churches Living under His Shining in the Kingdom

To the messenger of the church in Ephesus write: These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, He who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands. Rev. 2:1

The living stars are the messengers of the churches enjoying the present and fresh message from God to dispense Christ into others, having great resolutions and searchings in heart and leading others to the path of righteousness, fearing God and walking in the light, and have the shining of Jesus as the kingdom in them and through them.

Lord Jesus, make us the living stars today in the church life. Shine in us. Shine over us. Shine through us. May we gain You as the morning star today. May we have You rise up in our hearts as we give heed to the prophetic word. Amen, Lord, keep us in the light. May we walk in the light until we are the light of the world, bringing others to the path of righteousness. Reign and rule in us today so that You may shine Your kingdom through us! Amen!

Thank the Lord that today in the church age we believers in Christ can be living stars, the duplication of Christ as the living star! First, we need to find Christ by the living star, and we need to have Him rise up in our hearts as the morning star.

If we today seek the Lord, secretly watch and wait for Him, He will give Himself to us as the morning star, for we love Him and He wants us to taste the freshness of His presence.

He will appear to all as the sun, and we will shine with Him as the sun in the kingdom of His Father; however, before that time, we need to find Him as the living star, allow Him to rise in us as the morning star, and shine with Him as light to be living stars today.

May we be the overcoming saints today, those who hear what the Spirit is speaking to the churches and who receive and enjoy the sevenfold intensified life-giving Spirit to be living and shining stars.

Christ as the living star is in the local churches and among the local churches, and He is speaking as the Spirit to the churches.

Due to the degradation of the church, He has been intensified sevenfold to counteract the degradation, produce the overcomers, and consummate the New Jerusalem.

May we open to the Lord’s sevenfold intensified Spirit so that we may be produced by Him as His overcoming believers who are intensely living and intensely shining for God’s building.

We don’t want to just be produced as His overcomers in ourselves and by ourselves; we do this in and for God’s building, for God is looking after a corporate body of overcoming saints. Oh, may the Lord have mercy on us and make us His living and shining stars today!

The Living Stars are the Messengers of the Churches who Love God and Receive the Fresh Message from God to Dispense Christ into God’s People

The mystery of the seven stars which you saw upon My right hand and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the messengers of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches. Rev. 1:20

The seven epistles to the seven churches in Revelation were written to the churches, but in particular, they were written to the messengers of the churches, the seven stars in the Lord’s hand (Rev. 1:16, 20; 2:1; Mal. 3:1-3).

The living stars are the messengers of the churches.

Who are these messengers? Each of the seven churches has a messenger, someone who is enjoying and experiencing the pneumatic Christ as the Messenger of God and as the fresh message from God so that he can dispense the fresh and present Christ into the people of God for the testimony of Jesus.

We need to pray that we would be such ones today. We need to be those who enjoy Christ as the Messenger and Message of God so that we may have something fresh of Christ to dispense to God’s people.

First of all, the Lord Jesus Himself is the Messenger, and He is also the fresh message of God to us. He is the Christ, the sent One, and He is also the Word, the very word that God speaks to us (Matt. 16:16; John 1:1, 14).

When we come to the Lord in His word, we do not come just to read the Bible and find out more about God and His plan for us; we come to receive the fresh message from God.

Day by day we need to wake up a bit earlier, before all our daily activities start, and spend time with the Lord in His word to gain Him as the fresh message from God.

May we be the messengers of the churches today, those who receive Christ as the fresh message and are one with Him as the Messenger of God to speak and minister Christ as the fresh message from God to His people according to the need for God’s building.

On the one hand, Christ as the High Priest, walks among the golden lampstands and sees the situation in the local churches, and He is speaking to each church a particular message.

On the other hand, each church has a messenger, a saint or a group of saints who are the living stars and who have an ear to hear what the Spirit is speaking to the churches.

The messengers are the mature spiritual ones in the churches who bear the responsibility for the testimony of Jesus. They are of a heavenly nature and in a heavenly position like stars.

...Among the divisions of Reuben / There were great resolutions in heart...In the divisions of Reuben / There were great searchings of heart. Judg. 5:15-16 ...But the people who know their God will show strength and take action. Dan. 11:32 Then the righteous will shine forth like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear. Matt. 13:43May we open to the Lord daily so that He may make us His messengers today in the local churches. May we come to the Lord’s living word day by day to have Christ as the morning star rise in our hearts until the day dawns (2 Pet. 1:19).

The living stars have great resolutions in heart and great searchings of heart (Judg. 5:15-16, 20, 31; Dan. 11:32).

They are those who love the Lord and are like the stars who fight together with God against His enemy so that they may be like the sun when it rises in its might and be thos ewho shine forth like the sun in the kingdom of their Father (Matt. 13:43).

May we have great searchings of heart and great resolutions in heart as we allow the Lord to rise in us as the morning star.

When we come to the Lord in His word, He shines on us and in us, and our hearts are touched; we have great resolutions in heart and great searchings of heart. The living stars fight the spiritual warfare one with the Lord, and they are like the sun when it rises in its might.

On one hand, we want to be the living stars in the churches today, even the messengers of the churches to receive the Lord’s fresh message and then convey it to God’s people to minister Christ to them.

On the other hand, we stand one with the Lord and shine with Him, for He as the morning star rises in our heart and we are so one with Him that we shine and fight the battle with Him! Amen, we aspire to be such overcoming ones today!

Lord Jesus, make us the living stars in the local churches today. We aspire to be the messengers of the churches, those who enjoy and experience Christ as the Messenger of God and as the fresh message from God! Speak to us, Lord, and infuse us with Yourself as the fresh message from God. May we have an ear to hear what the Spirit is speaking to the churches. Oh Lord, grant us to have the fresh message from God so that we can dispense the fresh and present Christ into the people of God for the testimony of Jesus! Amen, keep us under Your speaking today and make us one with Your speaking! May we allow Your speaking to touch us so that we may have great resolutions in heart and great searchings of heart. Oh Lord, as Your loving seekers, we seek You in Your word, giving heed to the prophetic word, so that You may rise in us as the morning star! Amen, shine in us and through us until we become shining like You, shining forth like the sun and fighting the battle against God’s enemy!

Living Stars Walk in the Lord’s Light and Live in the Kingdom of God under His Shining

And we have the prophetic word made more firm, to which you do well to give heed as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 2 Pet. 1:19

The living stars are those who fear Jehovah and hear the voice of His servant, trusting in Jehovah so that they may have light while walking in darkness (Isa. 50:10-11; Psa. 139:7-12, 23-24).

Who fears Jehovah? Who reveres, regards, respects, and honours Jehovah? Who hears the voice of His servant? Such a one has light and does not walk in darkness.

But if someone kindles his own fire and surrounds himself with firebrands, walking into his own light and firebrands, he will lie down and in torment.

For us to be living stars, we need to walk in the Lord’s light and not make our own light. May we not kindle our own fire or make our own light but rather, come to the Lord to walk in His light.

Who among you fears Jehovah; / Who hears the voice of His servant; / Who walks in darkness / And has no light? / Let him trust in the name of Jehovah, / And rely on his God. Indeed, all of you who kindle a fire, / Who surround yourselves with firebrands, / Walk into the light of your fire / And into the firebrands which you have lit. / You will have this from My hand: / You will lie down in torment. Isa. 50:10-11If the way we are taking is bringing in division, even though we may think we are right, this is “our own light” and is not the Lord’s light.

If we think we have the Lord’s anointing to go somewhere and do something, yet what we do causes division and trouble in the Body, that is not the Lord’s light and His leading. Oh Lord Jesus!

Those who make light for themselves and walk in their self-made light instead of in God’s light will suffer torment. Oh Lord!

This should be a warning to us so that we may walk in the light given by God, not in the light we make for ourselves. May we come and walk in the light of Jehovah (Isa. 2:5).

May we come to the Lord to walk in His light!

As seen in Gen. 1:14-19, the living stars are typified by the stars that were established on the fourth day of God’s restoration with His further creation, in which they rule by their shining.

Where there is the shining of light, there’s the ruling for the growth of life.

We need to walk in the Lord’s light, even to have an increased shining from the Lord so that we may have the growth in life and live in the kingdom of God. The more the Lord shines on us, the more His life can grow in us and His kingdom can come into us.

If we read the story of the transfiguration of the Lord Jesus on the Mountain of Transfiguration, we will see that the shining forth of the Lord Jesus was the coming of the kingdom in power (Matt. 17:1-8; Mark 9:1-8).

The Lord Jesus came as the King of the kingdom of God and also as the kingdom of God, and His kingdom is simply His shining.

He was confined in His flesh, and people thought of Him as being a little man from Nazareth, for they could not see the kingdom within Him.

But when He went to the mountaintop and was transfigured, something within Him was shining; this was the coming of the kingdom.

The shining of the Lord Jesus, the transfiguration of the Lord Jesus, is the coming of the kingdom of God.

The more we allow the Lord to shine in us, the more His shining increases in us, the more the kingdom of God comes in us, and we become living stars.

The shining forth of Christ is the ruling presence of the Triune God. As the Lord shines in us and over us, the ruling presence of the Triune God is with us and in us, and we are in the kingdom of God.

The kingdom of God as the ruling of God, the reigning of God, with all its blessings and enjoyment, is the shining of the Lord Jesus and the spreading of the Lord Jesus by shining over us.

He wants to bring in His kingdom, and He does this by His shining. The more we have the Lord’s shining, the more we are in His kingdom, where we shine as living stars.

And He said to them, Truly I say to you, there are some of those standing here who shall by no means taste death until they see the kingdom of God having come in power. And after six days Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John, and brought them up alone into a high mountain privately. And He was transfigured before them, And His garments became sparkling, exceedingly white, such as no fuller on earth could whiten them. Mark 9:1-3The kingdom is the shining of the reality of the Lord Jesus. Whenever the Lord is shining over us and we are under His shining, we are in the kingdom of God under God’s ruling and reigning within us for our growth in life.

We all can testify that we have sensed the Lord’s shining in the saints and in the church life.

Sometimes we may visit a brothers’ house and, even though we don’t know the brothers personally, we simply sense the Lord’s presence there, for even though there are five different brothers living together, they are under the Lord’s ruling and reigning within.

They don’t have a written set of rules somewhere to which they adhere so that things are in order; they just enjoy Christ, live under His shining, and they shine as living stars.

However, we may also sense the kingdom being absent when we visit a particular home where, even though everything is proper and nice, people are behaving nicely and they say the right words, the people in that home do not live under the Lord’s shining.

If we don’t live under the Lord’s shining, we are not living stars but rather, the authority of darkness is present among us.

May we come to the Lord in His word, give heed to His prophetic word, and allow Him to shine on us and over us, even to rise in us as the morning star so that we may be in the kingdom of God in reality and grow in life.

Whenever the Lord is shining over us, and we are under that shining, we’re in the kingdom under God’s ruling and reigning over us for our growth in life.

Lord Jesus, make us those who fear Jehovah and hear the voice of His servant. May we trust in Jehovah so that we may have light while walking in darkness. Amen, Lord, shine on us and shine over us. We do not want to make our own light; we want to walk in God’s light. Give us light. Be light in us and over us. Oh Lord, we come to walk in the light of Jehovah today! Shine in us again and again! Shine over us. May Your kingdom come in us. Hallelujah, the shining of Jesus over us is the coming of the kingdom in us! Amen, Lord, keep us under Your shining today! May we have the shining reality of the Lord Jesus so that we may be under God’s reign and grow in the divine life. Keep us under Your ruling and reigning today as we remain under Your shining. Amen, Lord, make us the living stars who shine You forth by allowing You to shine in us and through us. May Your kingdom come in us. May Your kingdom be manifested through us.

We may say that this was the shining of the Lord Jesus or the transfiguration of the Lord Jesus, but He Himself said that it was the coming of the kingdom. The shining forth of the Lord Jesus on the mountaintop was the coming of the kingdom…The kingdom is simply the Lord Jesus shining over you. I hope this sentence will make a deep impression on you: the kingdom is the shining of the Lord Jesus, and the kingdom is the spreading of the Lord Jesus by shining over you. He told Peter, James, and John that they would see Him coming in His kingdom— that they would see the kingdom of God having come in power. What did they see? They saw the shining of the Lord Jesus. When Peter, James, and John were all under His shining, they were in the kingdom. Also, the dead saints, represented by Moses, and the living saints, represented by Elijah, appeared and were under the shining of the spreading of the Lord Jesus.

Dear brother, today the seeing of the heavenly star should not be a miraculous occurence but something normal, even day by day; every day we need to have the morning star rise in our heart as we give heed to the Lord’s word prayerfully.

When Christ as the morning star rises in our hearts, when we have His shining, the kingdom of God is there, and we have righteousness.

May we remain under the Lord’s shining so that He can spread in us and bring in His kingdom in us, making us shining stars, those living in the kingdom today.

Amen, Lord, we pray and read Your word to give heed to the prophetic word until Christ as the morning star rises in our hearts. Shine in us. Shine over us. Bring in Your kingdom in us. Make us Your living and shining stars!

We need the shining everyday. I’m the days of the magi the shining was a miraculous occurrence, but today we have the shining in us day by day as our regular experience.

We only need to follow our inner morning rising start to be in the Spirit continually.

Amen! We must seek the shining each day, realising that this should be our normal daily experience, as Peter says in 2 Pet 1:19.

The kingdom is the shining of the reality of Christ.

We should not be content merely with reading & praying.

We need to seek the shining of the morning star in our hearts.

When the Lord Jesus shines over us and we are under His shining we are in the Kingdom.

For this we must not only read the Bible and pray-read the word, we must also give heed to the prophetic word as a lamp shining in a dark place until Christ as the inner morning star rises in our hearts.

In such a realm we will consistently be in our spirit in the reality of the Kingdom.

O Lord Jesus shine in us and over us today to be Your Kingdom people! Yes Lord shine over us and within us as the bright morning star to search us, know us and try us to bring forth Your Kingdom

2 Pet. 1:19  And we have the prophetic word made more firm, to which you do well to give heed as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and *the morning star rises in your hearts.
Phil. 2:13  For it is God who operates in you both the willing and the working for His good pleasure.

When John saw the seven stars upon the right hand of Christ and the seven golden lampstands in the midst of which was Christ, it was a mystery to him. He did not realize the significance of the seven heavenly stars and the seven golden lampstands. Hence, the Lord unveiled the mystery to him, saying that “the seven stars are the messengers of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.” The significance of this not only was a mystery to John but also is a mystery to believers today. All believers need the unveiling of this mystery that they may see the churches and their messengers.

The churches, signified by the seven golden lampstands, are the testimony of Jesus (vv. 2, 9) in the divine nature, shining in the dark night locally yet collectively. The churches should be of the divine nature — golden. They should be the stands, even the lampstands, that bear the lamp with the oil (Christ as the life-giving Spirit) and shine in the darkness individually and collectively. They are individual lampstands locally, yet at the same time they are a group, a collection, of lampstands universally. They not only are shining locally but also are bearing universally the same testimony both to the localities and to the universe. They are of the same nature and in the same shape. They bear the same lamp for the same purpose and are fully identified with one another, not having any individual distinctiveness. The differences among the seven churches recorded in chs. 2 and 3 are all of a negative nature, not a positive one. Negatively, in their failures, the churches are different and separate from one another; but positively, in their nature, shape, and purpose, they are absolutely identical and are connected to one another.

It is easy for believers to see the universal church, but it is difficult for them to see the churches. The revelation of the local churches is the Lord’s ultimate unveiling concerning the church, and it is recorded in the last book of the divine Word. To fully know the church, believers must follow the Lord from the Gospels through the Epistles to the book of Revelation until they are enabled to see the local churches as unveiled here. In Revelation the first vision is concerning the churches. The churches with Christ as their one center are the focus in the divine administration for the accomplishing of God’s eternal purpose.

The messengers are the spiritual ones in the churches, the ones who bear the responsibility for the testimony of Jesus. They should be of the heavenly nature and should be in a heavenly position like stars. In the Acts and the Epistles the elders were the leading ones in the managing of the local churches (Acts 14:23; 20:17; Titus 1:5). The eldership is somewhat official, and at the time this book was written the offices in the churches had deteriorated because of the degradation of the church. In this book the Lord calls our attention back to the spiritual reality. Hence, this book emphasizes the messengers of the churches rather than the elders. The office of the elders is easily perceived, but the believers need to see the importance of the spiritual and heavenly reality of the messengers for the proper church life to bear the testimony of Jesus in the darkness of the church’s degradation. In the first vision of this book, the vision concerning the churches, both Christ and the messengers of the churches are unveiled with the churches as never before, and this in a most particular way. For this the believers need to see a particular vision in their spirits.

The kingdom is the shining of the Lord Jesus and the spreading of the Lord Jesus by shining over us.

May we be under the reality of the Lord shining.

Lord shine in us and over us.
