As believers in Christ, we can walk in Christ as our living land and absorb Christ as our rich soil, in which we have been rooted, so that w e may grow with the elements we asborb from the soil; Christ as the soil is the One in whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily, and when we absorb Him, we are made full in Him!
Hallelujah, we have been rooted in Christ, the One in whom dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and we can absorb Him to be made full in Him! Praise the Lord!
It is so good for us to see what we are, where we are, and what we are given. We believers in Christ are rescued by God out of the world and out of the authority of Satan so that we may be brought into the full enjoyment of the all-inclusive Christ.
We are not here merely to live a Christian life to the best of our ability and wait for the Lord to come and bring us into heaven.
Rather, we’re here to enter into the enjoyment of the all-inclusive Christ as the reality of the land flowing with milk and honey so that we may be constituted with Him and be His church, the Body of Christ as the house of God and the kingdom of God. Praise the Lord!
Our Christ is all-inclusive, and we can enjoy Him today. In particular, we can partake of the riches of Christ by praying over His word and by allowing His word to operate in us and dispense the riches of God into our being.
Day by day we need to come to the Lord in His word and accumulate the riches of Christ, deposit these riches, and be constituted with these riches.
He becomes a rich storage of Christ in us, and we have milk and honey under our tongue.
We are so saturated and filled with Christ that we overflow with Christ, we drip with Christ, and we minister Christ to others for them to be satisfied.
May we have this practice day by day, a long period of gathering the riches of Christ, having many inward activities before the Lord, and carefully storing His riches into our being.
When we do this, we have the sweetness of God’s love and the richness of His grace in us, and we are able to minister something of Christ to others, especially to those in need.
Amen, milk and honey under our tongue! Amen, we can be filled with the riches of Christ to such an extent that we can dispense these riches to the needy ones at the right time!
May we allow the Lord to instruct us and give us the tongue of an instructed one so that we may sustain the weary with a word. May our speaking be sanctified and saturated by the Lord with His grace and love.
Walk in Christ as our Living Land and Absorb Christ as our Rich Soil into whom We’re Rooted

On the one hand, Christ as the all-inclusive land has been allotted to us so that we may enjoy Him and partake of His riches in spirit.
On the other hand, we can walk in Christ as our living land and absorb Christ as our rich soil, in which we have been rooted, so that we may grow with the elements that we absorb from the soil (Col. 2:6-7; cf. 1 Cor. 3:6, 9; Col. 2:19).
If we want to walk in the good land, walk in Christ, we need to know how to absorb the rich soil of this good land.
Walking refers to our living, our actions, our manner of life, and how we conduct ourselves. How we conduct ourselves, our very being and living with all our actions must be in Christ as the living land.
We can have this kind of living only when we absorb Christ as the rich soil.
In Colossians 2:8-15, we have a full description and definition of Christ as the soil in whom we are rooted. We have been rooted in Christ, and in Him we lack nothing.
As we take time to absorb Christ as the all-inclusive land, the facts in these verses become our experience. It takes time to do this, and we need to take time to absorb the riches of Christ in a detailed way so that they become our experience in our daily life.
First, in verse 8 we are told that we should beware that no one carries us off as spoil through his philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ.
As Paul is admonishing us to walk in Christ and be rooted in Him to absorb Him with all His riches, he also told us to beware.
We need to beware all the philosophies, beware the traditions of men, and beware the elements of the world.
These can carry us off. They can shake us up. They will carry us away from the good land.
At that time, in the church in Colossae, there were some of these things that were operating to distract the believers in Christ from the enjoyment of Christ as the good land, and the top item was culture.
Culture is the top invention, the top aspect of human life; this culture was invading the church.
In a sense, we may say that culture is not sinful; it is only filled with the elements of the world, expressed in tradition, and having a lot of activities. However, these distract people from Christ Himself.
We need to be converted from our culture to Christ. We cannot allow culture to replace Christ.
We should walk in Christ as our living land and absorb Christ as our rich soil in our daily life, and we should not be constituted with or hindered by our culture.
We need to be converted from so many outward things, including many good things, that are apart from Christ.
Sometimes we may not be bothered by the culture from our background but we may have a “church life culture”, or a “local church culture.”
We may do things in a way that is customary around us but without exercising our spirit or contacting the Lord.
Unknowingly, we are carried away from the enjoyment of Christ. Oh Lord!
May we beware of these things and may we keep turning to our spirit.
As we turn to the Lord and spend time with Him to absorb His riches, He as the rich soil in our spirit will supply us for us to grow in life for the building up of the church as the Body of Christ.
May we come to the Lord in His word to see, know, enjoy, and experience the riches of Christ as the rich soil into whom we’re rooted.
Lord Jesus, we love You and we open to You to absorb You as the rich soil into whom we’re rooted. Hallelujah, we have been rooted into Christ as the good land, and now we can absorb the riches of Christ by spending time with Him in His word! Amen, Lord, we come to You again and again to just enjoy You! We want to walk in Christ as our living land and absorb the riches of Christ as the rich soil into whom we’re rooted. Fill us with Your riches. Save us from being in our culture, thus being carried away from the enjoyment of Christ. Oh Lord, keep us enjoying You! Keep us exercising our spirit no matter what happens! We want to spend much time with You in secret to absorb Your riches. Shine on us. Expose anything in us that replaces Christ as the preeminent and all-inclusive One. We give ourselves to You, Lord Jesus, to walk in Christ as the living land and absorb the riches of Christ to be constituted with Christ for the building up of the Body of Christ!
We are Rooted in Christ in whom All the Fullness Dwells and we’re Made Full in Him

The first element of Christ as the rich soil into whom we are rooted is seen in Colossians 2:9, The One in whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily.
Who is the Christ into whom we’re rooted? He is the rich soil, and in Him the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily. He is a living soil, a rich soil, and this soil has a rich history.
Today we know that soil is not something dead but something living; soil is not just a dead piece of dirt or an inert thing, but something living which can also sustain life.
Soil is dynamic, ever-changing, and its ever-changing substance reflects the history of the environment it has passed through.
The scientists can tell us by looking at a piece of soil how old it is, what environment it passed through, and what properties it has to sustain life.
We are rooted in a rich soil, the all-inclusive Christ who has been processed and consummated, and there are now many rich elements in this soil into whom we’re rooted.
In Him all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily. Fullness refers not only to the riches of God but to the expression of the riches of God; what dwells in Christ is not only the riches of the Godhead but even more, the expression of the riches of what God is (v. 9; 1:15, 19; 3:10-11).
When we are rooted in Christ as the soil, when we absorb the riches of Christ as the all-inclusive One, even the One in whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwells, we are made full in Him!
Amen, when we’re rooted in Christ as the soil, we are made full in Him; we are filled up with all the divine riches to become His expression (Eph. 3:8, 19).
As long as we absorb Him, sending our roots deep down in Him by spending time with Him to enjoy Him, we are made full in Him.
This word full implies perfection and completeness; we have no lack in Christ, but rather, we’re filled up with all the divine riches to become His expression.
In Christ as the soil we’re filled, completed, perfected, satisfied, and thoroughly supplied; we do not lack anything in Him (Phil. 1:19).
As long as we remain in contact with the Lord, absorbing His riches, we lack nothing in Him. What a rich Christ we have! In Him the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily.
This fullness is inexhaustible. God planted us in a rich land, and we are now in Christ, absorbing Him as the rich soil.
May we daily spend time to absorb the riches of Christ. As we absorb Christ by enjoying Him as we come to His word, we enjoy the fullness of the Godhead.
As we absorb the riches of Christ as the One in whom the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily, in this fullness we have been made full. Hallelujah, we are short of nothing!
We don’t need to worship angels, which are God’s created beings, even spirits serving us; we now need to only absorb the riches of Christ.
Everything necessary has been accomplished, and in Christ we are satisfied, supplied, and content. Christ as the soil is the history and mystery of God with all the riches of His person and processes (Col. 2:2).
All that He has accomplished, all He passed through, and all His history is in the rich soil into whom we’re rooted.
We simply need to take time to absorb Him. He is the fullness, and this fullness is all-inclusive.
When we absorb the riches of Christ as the fullness, we have righteousness, sanctification, holiness, justification, and everything we need.
Actually, we don’t know what we need, but as long as we spend time with the Lord to enjoy Him and absorb Him, we will be richly supplied, and in Him we lack nothing, for we are made full in Him.
May we realise that we as believers in Christ have been planted into the fullness, and we should simply absorb nourishment from it.
When we daily come to the Lord in His word to absorb Him in our personal, intimate, private, and spiritual time with Him, we discover we have no lack.
We have the experience of the Lord’s crucifixion and resurrection applied to us, for in this fullness we have everything we need!
We are made full in Him, and this fullness makes us, together with the saints, the fullness of the One who fills all and in all. May we see Him. May we enjoy Him. May we open to Him.
Christ as the soil is the Head of all rule and authority (Col. 2:10).
When we are rooted in Him and absorb His riches, we are sharing in His headship. Praise the Lord for the rich Christ into whom we are rooted!
Lord Jesus, thank You for causing us to be rooted into Christ, the rich soil of the good land. Hallelujah, Christ as the soil is the One in whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily! Praise the Lord, we are rooted in Christ as the fullness and we are made full in Him! Amen, Lord, praise You for accomplishing everything and becoming an all-inclusive soil for us to absorb! We open to You. We want to spend time with You. Oh Lord, we send our roots deep down into You as the rich soil to absorb all that You are. Praise the Lord, we have righteousness, sanctification, holiness, and justification by absorbing the riches of Christ, the soil into whom we’re rooted! Praise the Lord, in Christ we have no lack! Amen, Lord, You are everything to us. We want to enjoy You as the universal, eternal, extensive, all-inclusive fullness! Hallelujah, we are been rooted in this fullness, and in it we are made full, complete, and perfect! Praise the Lord!

Life-study of Colossians, pp. 454-457, by Witness Lee
What a rich Christ we have. We are in Christ as our living land to walk in Him and we are rooted in Him as the rich soil to absorb Him.
In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and when we absorb Him by spending time with Him, we are made full in Him, having no lack.
Amen. Lord keep us open to you
Amen! Hallelujah! This fullness is inexhaustible..
We have received Christ Jesus the Lord, been rooted in Him as the All-Inclusive good land but now we need to walk in Him as this living, rich soil.
Because all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him we have no lack as we absorb into our being such rich nourishment to be made full in Him.
We’ve been brought to Christ our land, and now we’re charged to walk in Christ as our living land. (Col. 2:6-7). These 2 matters, walking and absorbing, are related – walk in Christ refers to our living, actions, and conduct.
We can only know how to live Christ when we can absorb Christ as our rich soil so that we may grow with the elements we absorb. As we absorb Christ as the all-inclusive soil, the fact in these verses becomes our experience.
However, we need to beware of the subtle things that may distract & carry us away from Christ, such as tradition, culture, and the philosophy of men, including worldly elements, to distract us from Christ.
We lack nothing in this all-inclusive soil, Christ for, *He’s the One in whom the fullness of the expression of the riches of God dwells bodily! (v. 9). *Rooted in Christ as the soil, we’re made full, perfected, filled up, supplied, and satisfied with His divine riches, lacking nothing!
*Christ is the history and mystery of God with all the riches of His person and processes. *And, He’s the Head of all rule and authority.
We have been rooted in the One in whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily.
We must not allow anyone/anything to carry us away from Jesus.
It’s only in Christ that we can be filled, completed, perfected, satisfied and supplied.
Christ’s fullness is inexhaustible. In Him, we’re short of nothing.
We don’t need to worship other gods, isms, ideologies or philosophies.
As long as we absorb Christ as our rich soil, we will find that we have no lack.
We have no other need but Christ.
Footnotes from the Recovery Version Bible.
The first element of aspect of being rooted in the soil is the fullness of the Godhead. This fullness makes us complete, perfects and satisfies us.

Ameeen!!!
Having received the Lord, we can walk in Him as our living land.
And having been rooted in Him as the rich soil, we can absorb the elements of the soil into us.
amen! Hallelujah, we are made full in Christ, in Him all our needs are met.
The Son—the Word—is the image of the invisible God, God’s own declaration. When we receive Christ as the seed, He begins to make His home in our hearts; this is the beginning of knowing Him. That knowledge must grow to fullness, until the New Jerusalem as the corporate Christ declares God. We do not know Him fully at once; as the seed grows and Christ is formed in us, our faculties are exercised, and we become increasingly assured of God’s will—and by faith we carry it out. Thus the Col 1:9–10 cycle continues: we receive light, we follow the Lamb, and the Lamb is the lamp of the city.
