We believers in Christ have been rooted in Christ as the rich soil of the good land and day by day our roots need to sink deeper into Christ to absorb what He is; as we spend time with Him in His word, His death, burial, and resurrection, together with the wiping out of the ordinances and His victory over the enemy is ours. Hallelujah!
Thank You, dear Lord, for rooting us into Yourself as the all-inclusive, good land for us to absorb Your riches and be constituted with what You are! Praise the Lord!
On the one hand, we were given an allotted portion of the all-inclusive Christ as our inheritance for us to enjoy, and for this we need to labour day by day to obtain the riches of Christ and be constituted with Him.
On the other hand, as Colossians reveals, we are in Christ as the good land for us to walk in this living land and we’re rooted in Him as the soil.
We are in Christ as the living land, and we need to walk in Him to take possession of the good land.
Even as the children of Israel had to walk in the land to possess it, so we are here, in the enjoyment of the all-inclusive, life-giving Spirit in our spirit, and we need to walk in spirit so that we may take possession of the riches of Christ.
Every piece of land on which we step is ours; every step we take in Christ as the living land, walking with Him and enjoying Him in our daily living through many conversations with Him, we possess.
The Lord gave Himself to us as the good land for us to partake of, enjoy, and take possession of, and we simply need to exercise our spirit to enter into our inheritance. Praise the Lord!
Regarding the rich soil into which we’re rooted, Colossians 2:8-15 gives us a full description and definition of all that Christ is to us.
In Him we lack nothing; He is everything we need. As we take time to absorb Christ as the all-inclusive land, the facts in these verses become our experience. Christ is so rich to us!
We simply need to exercise our spirit to contact Him and absorb Him, and He will meet all our needs.
First of all, Christ as the soil is the One in whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily. In Him all the fullness is pleased to dwell.
Not only the riches of God but the expression of the riches of God is pleased to dwell in Christ, and we can partake of this fullness to be made full in Him!
Amen, when we exercise our spirit to contact the Lord, we are made full in Him, and we have no lack! Praise the Lord!
In Christ as the Soil we have the Killing Power of His Death, His Burial, His Raising up, the Wiping out of the Handwriting in Ordinances, and His victory over the Evil Spirits

May we let nothing and no one carry us off as spoil through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ.
We have been rooted in Christ as the rich soil of the good land, and now we can enjoy Him and partake of His riches.
In Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and as we enjoy Him, we have been made full in Him, who is the Head of all rule and authority.
In Him we’re circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ (Col. 2:11).
The rich soil into which we’re rooted contains an element that kills the flesh; it is the killing power of the death of Christ putting the old man, the flesh, and the self to death.
When we exercise our spirit to contact the Lord, there’s an element in Christ that puts the flesh to death.
Furthermore, in this soil there’s the element of being buried together with Christ through the faith of the operation of God, who raised Him from the dead (v. 12). We have been buried with Christ.
When we exercise our spirit to contact the Lord, we are buried with Christ. Even more, not only are we buried but we are also made alive with Him, for He has forgiven us all our offenses and raised up with Christ (v. 13).
Praise the Lord, in the rich soil into which we’re rooted there’s the raising up element, the vivifying element of the life of Christ, by means of which we are raised up and filled with life!
We are made alive with Christ, for He has become a life-giving Spirit (1 Cor. 15:45) and He gives us life, even giving us His life, to make us alive with Christ.
It’s all in the soil; we have been rooted in Christ as the rich soil, and we can enjoy the riches of what He is.
Another element in the rich soil of Christ in whom we’re rooted is the wiping out of the handwriting in ordinances, which was against us and which was contrary to us (Col. 2:15).
Christ has crucified and nailed these ordinances to the cross, and we can now enjoy this by exercising our spirit to contact Him.
Christ stripped off the rulers and the authorities, making a display of them openly and triumphing over them in the cross; all this is ours for us to enjoy and partake of in spirit.
On the one hand, when we touch the Lord, anything negative in us is put to death and we are made alive with Christ.
On the other hand, there are no ordinances in us and among us, for all these ordinances have been nailed to the cross.
All the troubling ordinances that have separated us from one another have been nailed to the cross; now there is peace!
If we are in Christ as the soil, if we send our roots deep down in Him to enjoy what He is, we have peace with one another, and all our ordinances are nailed to the cross.
In Christ as the soil there’s an element that is victorious over the evil spirits in the atmosphere.
We enjoy Christ’s victory by exercising our spirit. Everything we need, from the putting to death of all the negative elements to the enlivening, raising up, nailing of the ordinances, and the victory of Christ, is in the soil.
All the negative things that trouble us are put to death and buried, and we are raised up in Christ and with Christ to live and walk in newness of life, even to stand in His victory! In Christ we are victorious and full of life. Praise the Lord!
Lord Jesus, grant us to see, know, realise, and enjoy the fact that we have been rooted in Christ as the rich soil of the good land. Hallelujah, in Christ as the soil there’s an element with the killing power that puts the flesh to death. Amen, Lord, we exercise our spirit to contact You; may Your death operate in us to put the flesh to death. We want to absorb Your riches by remaining in the organic union with Him. Amen, Lord, may we allow You to put to death anything negative in us, even to bury us with You in the waters of baptism. Keep us in our spirit today so that the old man may remain buried. Praise the Lord, in Christ as the soil there’s an element that causes us to be raised up! Hallelujah, we have been raised with Christ, for He as the life-giving Spirit imparted His life into us to vivify us and raise us up! Amen, Lord, keep us in You as the soil, absorbing Your riches and enjoying all that You are. May all the ordinances be wiped out and may we be in the victory of Christ in all things today by abiding in the Lord!
Day by Day our Roots need to Sink Deeper into Christ as the Rich Soil to Absorb what He is into our being

May the Lord have mercy on us and cause us to see that we have been rooted in Christ, the rich soil of the good land, for us to absorb His riches and be constituted with Him.
If we see we’re rooted in Christ, we will day by day let our roots sink deeper into Christ to absorb Him in our spiritual being.
Christ is the mystery of God, and in Him all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.
We have received the Christ, Jesus the Lord, and we walk in Him, having been rooted and built up in Him, and being established in the faith even as we were taught, abounding in thanksgiving (Col. 2:5-6).
As we read and pray, prayerfully consider, and muse with much prayer over Colossians 2:6-15, we need to exercise our spirit to internalise all these rich aspects of Christ.
As we exercise our spirit to receive and enjoy the rich Christ, in our daily living we day by day let our roots sink deeper into Christ as the rich soil to absorb what He is into our being.
There are many negative things in us, including the flesh, the ordinances, and the rulers and authorities.
On the one hand, the flesh troubles us, and on the other hand, the ordinances are in us and around us, keeping us from the enjoyment of Christ.
And in the air, the evil rulers and authorities are operating to oppress and suppress us, even to cause us to be led away from Christ.
We all have the flesh, we all have some type of ordinances, and we all are subject to the evil authorities in the atmosphere.
Out of these negative sources, there’s sin, worldliness, and offenses. Oh Lord! But praise the Lord, we are rooted in Christ as the soil, and in this soil we have the element of circumcision, the “salt” of circumcision to kill and destroy any negative element.
The death of Christ is in the rich soil into which we’re rooted, and when we let our roots sink deeper into Christ, the death of Christ is applied to us to kill the flesh with all its negative things.
The salt of the cross of Christ cuts the flesh and kills it, as long as we remain in the organic union with the Lord and let our roots sink deeper into Christ as the rich soil (1 Cor. 6:17).
Then, after the killing, there’s the burial; in Christ as the rich soil into which we’re rooted, there’s an element causing us to be buried.
Our old man and all the old things are buried there, and they remain buried.
As long as we send roots deep down into Christ, even sink deeper into Christ as the rich soil, everything negative in us is put to death, we are buried with Christ, and then we’re raised up and given life! Praise the Lord!
On the negative side, there’s the killing and burial taking place to take the negative things away from us. On the positive side, there’s the element that raises us up and makes us living, even brings us into the victory of Christ over the enemy.
Furthermore, when we let our roots sink deeper into Christ as the rich soil, we experience the wiping out of the handwriting in ordinances.
We may think that we don’t have any ordinances today in the church life, but each human being has certain ordinances.
Ordinances are our ways of living, the way we conduct our daily life, even our ways of talking, living, eating, and behaving.
These may not be in writing, but they are inscribed into our mentality.
Ordinances are in each one of us, and we may even have newer ordinances related to the church life and living in the church. Oh Lord!
These ordinances hinder our growth in life, for they take the space of Christ in our being; instead of living Christ, we live according to our ordinances.
If we want to grow in life in a proper way, the ordinances need to be wiped out and nailed ot the cross.
We can’t do this; we can’t “crucify” our ordinances. But we can let our roots sink deeper into Christ as the rich soil to enjoy the application of the wiping out of the ordinances.
Even more, there’s an element in the soil which causes us to be victorious over the evil spirits in the atmosphere (Col. 2:15).
As long as we remain in the organic union with the Lord, the evil spirits in the atmosphere are defeated, for we stand in the victory of Christ.
We don’t need to try to do this or that to put the flesh to death, be buried, be raised up, wipe out our ordinances, or be victorious over the evil spirits in the atmosphere; we simply need to send roots into Christ and let our roots sink deeper into Christ as the rich soil.
As long as we exercise our spirit to send our roots into Christ, we absorb Him as our nourishment, we’re supplied with Him, and our ordinances are wiped out. Furthermore, we grow in life and are built up. Praise the Lord!
Lord Jesus, we want to let our roots sink deeper into Christ as the rich soil into which we’re rooted. Amen, Lord, we exercise our spirit to contact You and pray-read Your word. May our roots sink deeper into Christ to absorb all that He is to us. Thank You for being the rich, all-inclusive soil for us to send deep roots to absorb what You are into our being. Amen, Lord, we exercise our spirit to be one with You today. We want to remain in the organic union with You so that our flesh may be put to death, we would be buried with Christ, we would be raised with Christ, and we may be filled with Your life! Oh Lord, keep us in our spirit today. May we remain in our spirit so that Your death may operate in us and Your life may raise us up and cause us to grow in life. Hallelujah, when we’re in our spirit, the handwriting in ordinances is wiped out, and we are victorious over the evil spirits in the atmosphere! Amen, Lord, we love to absorb Your riches so that we may grow and be built up!

– I am crucified with Jesus, / And He lives and dwells with me; / I have ceased from all my struggling, / ’Tis no longer I, but He. / All my will is yielding to Him, / And His Spirit reigns within; / And His precious blood each moment / Keeps me cleansed and free from sin. / I’m abiding in the Lord / And confiding in His word; / I am hiding in the bosom of His love. / Yes, abiding in the Lord / And confiding in His word, / I am hiding in the bosom of His love. Life-study of Colossians, p. 455, by Witness Lee
Dear brother, we have been rooted into Christ as the rich soil of the good land, and we need to send our roots deep down into Him to absorb all His riches.
In this soil there’s the element that kills the flesh and puts it to death, buries us with Christ, raises us up with Him, gives us life and vivifies us, and wipes out the handwriting in ordinances.
What a rich soil! We simply need to exercise our spirit as we come to contact the Lord and be in His word to absorb all His riches and experience them.
Christ as the soil has the elements to kill us, bury us, raise us up and make us living.
We need this soil and to deepen are roots in it as the elements of the flesh, ordinances and evil are constantly around us as negative things to hinder us from growing in the soil.
Amen, brother. Oh Lord, keep us rooted in you as the richest soil to absorb all your riches and overcome all the negative things that are in the flesh. Christ as the rich soil contains all the killing elements dealing with the negative elements in the natural man.
Dear brother, what a mercy to see that in Christ as the rich soil there is the element of cutting and killing, being buried and raised up and being made alive together with Him as the Life-giving Spirit who gives life! Hallelujah!
Praise the Lord as we absorb these rich elements, with the handwriting of ordinances wiped out, we die, are buried, and enlivened to live Him!
Amen, uproot us from all things old and root us more and more like the good soil.
Hallelujah brother! Christ is setting us free from the ordinances we were captured by, from the flesh, and from the evil authorities who seek to keep us away from the experience & enjoyment of Christ.
In Christ, we have the element of circumcision which puts the flesh to death.
Our Christ is able to kill us, bury us, raise us up, and make us living.
Today, we do not need ordinances to tell us how to live.
We simply need to assimilate the riches of Christ so that we may grow and be built up.
As believers, our genuine circumcision is not outward but in Christ as soil, the “salt of circumcision,” where the element with the killing power that puts the flesh to death.
Therefore, in Christ as the soil, His elements puts to death, bury, raises up, and given life, making us living!
The killing and the burial take the negative things away from us, whereas being raised takes us away from the negative things, enlivening us! All the troubling ordinances against us get wiped out in Christ, and we’re at peace with everyone!
Young and old, we all have the flesh, certain negative things in life, all kinds of ordinances concerning the way we conduct our daily life and, we all are subject to the evil authorities in the atmosphere. Sin, worldliness, and offenses have their source in these negative things.

How rich our Christ as the soil!
In Him there is an element with the killing power that puts the flesh to death. There is an element that causes us to be buried, raised up and vivified.
Also in Christ as the soil there is an element that wipes out the handwriting in ordinances and causes us to be victorious over the evil spirits.
We must take time to enjoy the Lord as the all-inclusive land so that all the elements of Christ as the rich soil may be absorbed into us for us to be made full in Him in our experience.
