Our God is a God of purpose, having a will according to His own pleasure; we praise God for His will, we want to know the mystery of God’s will and do His will, and we want to be persons in His will, even in the good desire of His heart, His good pleasure, and His intention to gain the church as the habitation of God.
Amen, Lord, we praise You for Your will. Unveil us to see the will of God. May we realise that God created all things according to His will, and may we be those who do the will of God! Amen, Lord, may Your will be done in us, in our life, and in the church life! Praise the Lord for the will of God, which is being revealed to us in spirit! Amen!
This week we come to the final topic in the series, Crucial Aspects in Matthew 5 through 7, and we will focus on, Doing the Will of the Father So That We May Enter into His Kingdom on “That Day,” the Day of the Judgment Seat of Christ.
We want to see the constitution of the kingdom of the heavens, and in particular, we want to see four words: the gate, the way, the will, and the house.
First, we need to enter through the narrow gate, then we need to walk on the constricted way, which is to do the will of God, which will is the house of God.
The gate, the way, the will, and the house. We have seen what we as kingdom people are, what we as kingdom people should be, and what we should do.
And the consummation is what we should do: we should enter through the narrow gate, walk on the constricted way, do the Father’s will, which is to build a house on the heavenly King’s word as our foundation. May we be such ones today.
May we enter in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter into it.
But narrow is the gate and constricted is the way that leads to life, and few are those who find it.
As we walk on this way, the constricted way, we need to realise that not everyone who calls on the name of the Lord also does the will of the Father, and on that day, the day of the judgment, the Lord will declare to such ones, Depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness.
May we be the prudent men who build their house upon a rock, not on the sand. Oh Lord Jesus!
May we be those who do the will of God the Father, not do our own will and call it the will of God. In the Old Testament we see Moses who served the Lord in His house, and he did as he was divinely instructed when he was about to complete the tabernacle.
He did everything according to the pattern he saw on the mountain; he did not build according to his concept but according to what God showed him on the mountain. He was faithful in the house of God and did all things according to what the Lord showed him. May we be such ones today.
Our God is a God of Purpose, having a Will according to His own Pleasure

In Revelation 4:11 we see that the Lord receives the praise and glory, for He is worthy as our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for He has created all things, and because of His will they were and were created.
We may be quite familiar with this verse, but we need to realise that this shows us that everything, all of God’s creation, is because of God’s will. Even our own existence is because of God’s will. Our God is not aimless; He does not do things randomly or accidentally.
He does things because of His will. Because of His will, He created all things. Our God is a God of purpose, having a will according to His own pleasure.
In Revelation 4:8-11, we see the worship of God by the four living creatures and by the twenty-four elders.
The four living creatures worship God, and they represent all the creatures (vv. 8-9). The twenty-four elders worship God, and they represent all the angels (vv. 10-11). All the creatures are worshipping God.
All of them cry out, Holy, Holy, Holy! Our God is holy (Isa. 6:3), and the cry of praising Him for His holiness is three times, which implies that God is triune.
Both the four living creatures and the angelic elders are praising the Triune God, and they praise Him for three items – His is the glory and the honour and the power (thanks)! Amen!
The four living creatures praise the Triune God, giving Him glory and honour and thanks, for they are grateful for the redemption of God’s grace.
Amen, we as human beings are redeemed by God’s grace, and we praise Him with glory and honour and thanks for His redemption; we are redeemed! Hallelujah!
The angelic elders praise the Triune God for His glory and honour and authority, for they rule the universe with the power of God, which He has given to them.
Praise the Triune God! Our Triune God deserves all the glory and the honour and the power and thanks! Praise Him! He is a God of purpose, and because of His will, all things are created.
He created us and all things, all beings, and all matters in the universe so that He may accomplish and fulfil His purpose.
We are here on earth not for our own purpose or will; we are here for God’s will and purpose.
If we look around us, people live as if there is no God, and each does their own will. Some who are stronger may influence others to do their will, but all men try to do what they want to do.
However, besides the will of God there is only one other will in the universe, which is the satanic will.
If we do not know the will of God, if we don’t do the will of God, we will do the other will, the satanic will. Oh Lord Jesus! People can easily realise the creation of God, but not many know the will of God, the purpose of God’s creation.
What is the purpose of God’s creation? What is God’s purpose? Based on Revelation 4:8-11, we see that the Triune God deserves all the power and the honour and the glory and thanks because He has a purpose and He is doing all things according to His purpose.
God’s purpose and will is to gain an eternal habitation for God’s satisfaction and expression.
When the Lord Jesus came and revealed to His disciples that He is Jesus Christ, He also revealed that He will build His church (Matt. 16:16-18).
When we see Christ, we realise that He wants to gain the church. The goal of God’s creation of all things is to gain a habitation for Himself, the mingling of God and man.
The book of Revelation shows us that He will gain the New Jerusalem, the mutual dwelling place of God and man. Praise the Lord!
Lord Jesus, unveil us to see God’s purpose and God’s will! You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honour and the power, for You have created all things, and because of Your will they were and were created! Amen, Lord, we praise You for creating us and for creating all things for Your will! We are here for Your will. We are one with You for Your will. We want Your will to be done and Your kingdom to come. Unveil us, Lord, to see the will of God. May we praise You and worship You for Your will. Hallelujah, our God is a God of purpose, having a will for His own pleasure! Praise You, Lord, for creating all things for You to accomplish and fulfil Your purpose! Hallelujah, God’s purpose is to obtain the church as the Body of Christ, the habitation of God with man! Amen, Lord, gain the church in us and among us today! Gain Your glorious expression, the mutual dwelling place of God and man! Praise the Lord, God will gain what He is after: He will gain the New Jerusalem! Praise the Lord!
We need to See the Mystery of God’s Will through Revelation in Christ and the Church

What is God’s will? It is what God desires, what He wills; it is God’s wish, His desire. God wants to do something. He wishes to do something. He has a good pleasure of His will. His good pleasure is embodied in His will; His will comes first, and His good pleasure is of His will.
Ephesians 1:9 shows us that God has a good pleasure, a will; God’s good pleasure is of His will and is embodied in His will, so His will comes first (v. 5).
We need to be unveiled by the Lord to see the mystery of God’s will through revelation in our spirit.
When we see something of God’s will, when we see His purpose, we will be touched, we will consecrate to Him, and we will live in a different way.
We need to come to the Lord in His word again and again to see His will.
We cannot just imagine that HIs will is this or that, according to what we think or desire. It is out of Him, through Him, and to Him are all things (Rom. 11:36).
We want our service to be out of Him, to Him, and through Him in all things. We want everything we do in our living and in our service to be out of His will, through His power, and unto His glory.
Even our conversations with others need to issue out from God’s will, be to His glory, and by His power. God has made the mystery of His will known to us through His revelation in Christ (Eph. 3:9).
When we look at the processes Christ went through, we see the mystery of God’s will. If we prayerfully consider Christ’s incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension, we will realise what is the mystery of God’s will.
Once upon a time, the mystery of God’s will was hidden in God. But thank the Lord, through the ministry of the apostles, the mystery of God’s will was made known to us.
We have the word of God in our hands, and we can know the mystery of HIs will.
This mystery is made known to us in the Bible; for us to see it, we need to exercise our spirit. May we open to the Lord and may He have mercy on us to unveil us to see the mystery of God’s will.
God works all things according to the counsel of His will. God’s will is His intention, and His counsel is His consideration of the way to accomplish His will or intention (1:11).
The will of God is hidden in God, so it is the mystery of His will. However, He makes known the mystery of His will to us in spirit and in Christ.
If we see the mystery of God’s will by revelation in spirit, we realise that in eternity, God planned a will, and in His wisdom and prudence, He has made this hidden mystery known to us through revelation in Christ!
It is God’s good pleasure in HIs heart to reveal to us the mystery of HIs will.
The desire of God’s heart, His will, is to have the church; God’s revelation of His hidden will is according to the desire of His heart.
With God, there’s both the will of God, which is mysterious, and carrying out His will, which is the way to accomplish it. He has a pattern, a way to accomplish His will.
Just as Moses was not given the freedom to design any part of the tabernacle in whatever way he wanted, nor was David given the way to build the temple the way he wanted, so we today need to know God’s will and do all things according to the mystery of His will.
We need to see in detail the mystery of God’s will, be unveiled to see His will, and do all things according to the desire of His heart.
We need to see Christ’s incarnation, human living, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension, and we need to realise that He is the God-man who came to do the will of God.
By all the steps of the process that Christ went through, God’s will to have a mutual habitation with man is revealed.
God’s will is for God and man to be mingled together to be a corporate habitation for God and man.
He gains this by His divine dispensing. We see this by looking at the Lord’s incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension.
May we remain open to His divine dispensing today so that we may be built up into the habitation of God, the mutual dwelling place of God and man.
May we see God’s good pleasure, live in the will of God, and do all things in the will of God and according to God’s will for the building up of the habitation of God, the church as the Body of Christ today!
Lord Jesus, unveil us to see the will of God. Hallelujah, our God has a will and a good pleasure of His will, and we can see the mystery of God’s will by revelation in spirit! Amen, Lord, may we see the mystery of God’s will. May our life contribute to the carrying out of God’s will. We exercise our spirit to touch You, enjoy You, and be filled with You. We open to Your divine dispensing today. Dispense Yourself into us as the incarnated, crucified, resurrected, and ascended Christ. Amen, Lord, we open to Your divine dispensing. Fill us with the full knowledge of Your will! May we do all things for the fulfilment of Your will. May we join ourselves to Your will and cooperate with You for Your will to be done. Hallelujah, in His wisdom and prudence, God has revealed the mystery of His will to us in spirit! Praise the Lord for God’s dispensing for the carrying out of God’s eternal purpose!

- Hymns on this topic:
– Our God is a God of purpose, / What He plans, He will fulfill! / Genesis to Revelation / Shows His full and glorious will. / What He’s after is a building. / In creation He began / With a simple garden planted— / This, the setting for His plan. (Hymns #1324 stanza 1)
– Man’s Creator has a purpose / For our being here on earth. / In His image we’re created, / To express His rule on earth. / But man fell to Satan’s tempting; / Thus God’s goal was hid from view. / Still our God will have His kingdom, / For His Son will see it through. (Hymns #1299 stanza 1)
– God eternal has a purpose, / Formed in His eternal past, / Spreading to eternal future; / ’Twixt these ends all time is cast. / For with time there is the process, / Time for His accomplishment; / And in time we’re merely travelers— / For eternity we’re meant. / God would have a group of people / Built together in His plan, / Blended, knit, coordinated / As His vessel—one new man. / God would come into this vessel / With His nature, life and ways, / Mingling Spirit with our spirits / For His joy and to His praise. (Hymns #1325 stanzas 1-2)

Ameeen!!!
The book of Revelation, which unveils God’s universal administration, shows us the purpose of God. Our God is a God of purpose, having a will according to His own pleasure. He created all things for His will that He might accomplish and fulfill His purpose.
God has made the mystery of His will known to us through His revelation in Christ. Christ is everything in the will of God. His will is concentrated in Christ and is for Christ. God’s intention in His economy is to work the wonderful, all-inclusive, extensive Christ into our being as our life and everything so that we may become the corporate expression of the Triune God.
May we advance in our knowing, experiencing, and living the all-inclusive, extensive Christ, who is God, man, and the reality of every positive thing in the universe.

Dear brother, God created all things according to His will and His good pleasure.
God has made the mystery of His will known to us through His revelation in Christ, that is, through Christ’s incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension, to gain the church as the Body of Christ.
God is a God of purpose with a will. Such a will – according to which we were created – is according to His good pleasure, which issues in His economy to have the church, the ultimate fulfillment of which is the New Jerusalem.
Praise the Lord for the mystery of God’s will revealed to us through Christ’s incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension. Amen.
Amen brother. What is the will of our Heavenly Father? It’s to know Christ, to experience & enjoy Christ, to live Christ, and to have Christ become our very life & person.
For us to know this will requires that we perceive spiritual things in our spirit, and we understand such things through our renewed mind.
The will of God is in Christ and for Christ.
We need to see that Christ in everything in the will of God, and God’s will for us today is that Christ should be our life and our person.
Amen, God created all this for His will that He might accomplish and fulfill His purpose which is the New Jerusalem.
That being the eternal habitation for His expression.
There He will be fully satisfied. His will made know to us through Christ, it is His good pleasure to have the Church.

Rev. 4:9-11
…When the four living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits upon the throne,…the twenty-four elders will fall before Him who sits upon the throne and worship Him…; and they will cast their crowns before the throne, saying, *You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, for You have created all things, and because of Your will they were, and were created. *
Praise the Lord!
