The Church Life is a Corporate Meal Offering for God’s Satisfaction and Man’s Supply

March 8, 2018 by aGodMan 11 Comments

God desires that every local church be a meal offering to satisfy Him and fully supply the saints day by day; this means that we will eat our church life, for the church life will be our daily supply. Witness Lee

Christ is the meal offering, and as we eat Him, we become His reproduction and have His God-man living to be the meal offering, and the church life as the corporate living by the perfected God-men becomes the corporate meal offering. Our need today is to eat Christ as the meal offering by exercising our […]

Constantly Offering Ourselves to the Lord as a Living Sacrifice for God’s Satisfaction

March 2, 2018 by aGodMan 5 Comments

To live a life of the continual burnt offering is to be a living sacrifice - Rom. 12:1.

Today in our Christian life and church life we should live a life of the continual burnt offering, which means that we need to be a living sacrifice, living a life of consecrating ourselves to the Lord. The fire on the altar of burnt offering had to be kept burning, and it must not go […]

Overcoming the Principle of Babylon by Taking Christ as our Burnt Offering Daily

December 1, 2017 by aGodMan 4 Comments

The laying on of hands signifies not substitution but identification, union (Acts 13:3 and footnote 2). By laying our hands on Christ as our offering, we are joined to Him, and He and we become one. In such a union all our weaknesses, defects, and faults are taken on by Him, and all His virtues become ours. This requires us to exercise our spirit through the proper prayer so that we may be one with Him in an experiential way (cf. 1 Cor. 6:17 and footnotes). When we lay our hands on Christ through prayer, the life-giving Spirit, who is the very Christ on whom we lay our hands (1 Cor. 15:45; 2 Cor. 3:6, 17), will immediately move and work within us to live in us a life that is a repetition of the life that Christ lived on earth, the life of the burnt offering. Lev. 1:4, footnote 1, RcV Bible

The only way for us to overcome the principle of Babylon is by daily taking Christ as our burnt offering, for He lived a life that is perfect and absolutely for God and for God’s satisfaction, and He is such a life in us to enable us to have such a living. We first need […]

Being Salted by the Cross in our Prayer for a Pleasant Fragrance to Ascend to God

March 23, 2016 by aGodMan 2 Comments

It is so sweet, calm, fragrant, and peaceful to see our wonderful all-inclusive Christ who was processed through incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection to become the ingredients of both the anointing (as God reaching man to fill and saturate man) and the incense (as the Christ wrought into us ascending to God for His satisfaction). The […]

The Ingredients of the Incense typify Christ with His Death and Resurrection

March 22, 2016 by aGodMan 2 Comments

With the composition of both the anointing oil and the incense the principle is nearly the same. However, the anointing oil is for God’s coming to us, and the incense is for our going to God. In the anointing we have the Trinity, divinity, humanity, and the death and resurrection of Christ. In the incense we also have the Trinity, divinity, humanity, and Christ’s death and resurrection. Witness Lee, Life-study of Exodus, msg. 169

As those who love God, seek Him, and desire to experience Him, we need to know what makes Him happy and how can we contribute to the fulfilment of His purpose. What is it that satisfies God’s heart and what contributes to the fulfillment of His purpose? It is Christ, but in a more specific […]

Being Poured out as a Drink Offering over the Building of God for His Satisfaction

Not Hindering God in what He Wants to Do

It is a great blessing to read the Bible with “the glasses of God’s economy” on. When we read the account in Gen. 35 with Jacob going to Bethel, setting up an altar, calling on the name of the Lord, having the Lord’s speaking, setting up a pillar and pouring out a drink offering and […]

Laying our Hands on Christ as our Burnt Offering to be Identified with Him and Live Him

August 26, 2014 by aGodMan 1 Comment

Phil. 1:21 For to me, to live is Christ.

In looking into the matter of consecration we need to see that, no matter how much we love the Lord and pursue Him, we are NOT absolute for God and we are NOT fully consecrated to Him. There is only ONE Person that ever lived a life of being absolute for God and His purpose, […]
