We believers in Christ can take Christ as the reality of the trespass offering to experience Him as the redeeming One, the shining One, and the reigning One in order to enjoy Him as the supply of life in the fellowship of life; we can confess our sins and God is faithful and rightoeus to forgive us our sins, and we can take Christ as our Advocate with the Father.
Amen, Lord Jesus, we want to remain in the fellowship of the divine life. Thank You for coming into our spirit as the fellowship of life, the flow of life. May we remain in the fellowship of the divine life all the days of our life so that we may grow in life unto maturity for the building up of the Body of Christ. We love You, Lord, and we give ourselves to You today! We apply Your precious blood and we come forward to You! Amen!
This week in our morning revival we have been enjoying the matter of the fellowship of the eternal life – the reality of living in the Body of Christ.
In the Epistles of John, especially in his first epistle, we see the unfolding of the mystery of the fellowship of the eternal life. This fellowship is simply the flowing Triune God, the imparting of the Triune God.
We have been brought into this fellowship by receiving the word of God, and we put aside our private interests and join with others for the purpose of God to be fulfilled.
This fellowship of the eternal life, the flow of the divine life within us, is the reality of living in the Body of Christ in the oneness of the Spirit.
We have fellowship with God and we have fellowship with one another simply by exercising our human spirit to touch God as the Spirit and to be built up with the saints.
This is an interwoven fellowship: the horizontal fellowship with the saints is interwoven with the vertical fellowship, and this is the mingling of God with man.
The divine fellowship is everything in the Christian life, for when the fellowship disappears or stops, God also disappears; God comes as the fellowship.
As we remain in the fellowship of life, we are blended together with God and with the saints.
However, in order to remain in the enjoyment of the divine fellowship, we need to take Christ as our sin offering for the indwelling sin and as our trespass offering for the sinful deeds in our conduct.
He’s our sin offering, and we can take Him as our sin offering in the loving, living, intimate fellowship with God, who is light.
We are exposed, in our fellowship with God, of how sinful we are, and we repent, forsake all that is from the self, and completely depend on God. Amen!
Take Christ as the Reality of the Trespass Offering to Remain in the Fellowship of Life

On the one hand, we need to take Christ as the sin offering for the indwelling sin; on the other hand, we need to take Christ as the reality of the trespass offering for our sins, for the unrighteous deeds we have in our conduct.
To take Christ as the reality of the trespass offering is to experience Him as the redeeming One, the shining One, and the reigning One in order to enjoy Him as the supply of life in the fellowship of life (1 John 1:1—2:2; Rev. 21:21, 23; 22:1-2).
The Lamb, Christ, is on the throne, and God is in Christ as the lamp shining in and through the holy city, New Jerusalem. Out of Him comes a river, the river of water of life, which is the fellowship of the divine life. Out of the redeeming God, the throne of God and the Lamb, flows a river of water of life.
For us to remain in the fellowship of life, we need to take Christ as the reality of the trespass offering.
If we quietly pay attention to the flow of life within us, our inner feelings will become more tender and sensitive, and we will sense even the smallest sin, the smallest insulation, and we will come to the Lord to confess it so that the flow of life is restored.
In taking Christ as our trespass offering, we need to make a thorough confession of all our sins and impurity so that we may have a good and pure conscience (Acts 24:16; 1 Tim. 1:5, 19; 3:9; 2 Tim. 1:3; Heb. 9:14; 10:22).
We need to exercise ourselves to have a conscience without offense toward God and man. In exercising our spirit, the first function of our spirit is the conscience; we can’t say we exercise our spirit if we don’t exercise our conscience.
We need to love out of a pure heart and out of a good conscience and out of unfeigned faith. Our conscience is a test and a check to preserve us in the faith. Our conscience is the leading part of our spirit.
If we want to exercise our spirit, if we pay attention to our spirit, so that we may remain in the fellowship of life, we must pay attention to the feeling of our conscience.
If we confess our sins under the Lord’s light, agreeing with the Lord’s shining on our sins, God is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7, 9). Praise the Lord!
When we confess our sins, God is faithful in His word to forgive us our sins and righteous in His redemption to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Even more, Christ as our elder Brother is our Advocate with the Father to restore our interrupted fellowship with the Father so that we may abide in the enjoyment of the divine fellowship (1 John 2:1-2).
The goal is to remain in the fellowship of life; however, we still sin, and the Lord shines and exposes our sins, so we confess our sins, we are washed and cleansed, and our Advocate restores our fellowship with the Father.
The word for Advocate is parakletos, which is also translated as comforter in the Gospel of John. He is our Comforter and our Advocate.
Christ is our spiritual attorney pleading our case. First, He shed His blood to cleanse us; then, He comes by our side to plead our case to the Father.
We have both the precious blood of Christ and the precious person of Christ as our Advocate.
The fact that He’s our Advocate with the Father, not with God, means that it is a family business, a family affair.
Our sins are against our Father, who is not just God but our Father God. We are His children. We live in His house. We love Him and enjoy Him.
But sometimes we are like naughty children, breaking His rules and transgressing against Him.
So He shines on us, exposes our sins, and we confess our sins. As we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to cleanse us and forgive us our sins.
Even more, the Lord Jesus is our Advocate with the Father, for He, as our elder Brother, pleads before God on our behalf to restore our fellowship with Him.
The cleansing of the blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God solves the problem of separation from God, the problem of guilt in our conscience, and the problem of accusations from Satan, thus enabling us to have a daily life full of God’s presence (Psa. 103:1-4, 12-13; 32:1-2; Rev. 12:10-11).
We overcome the enemy by the blood of the Lamb. When we confess our sins under the Lord’s light, sometimes our conscience becomes sensitive, and we feel that we are not forgiven; we have confessed, but Satan still accuses us.
So we need to believe God’s word and stand on His word, declaring that the Lord has forgiven us, cleansed us, and He even put our sins behind His back.
He has cast our sins far away from Him, and as far as the east is from the west, so far He has removed our sins and transgressions from us.
He even casts our sins into the depths of the sea (Micah 7:19) and He remembers our sins no more (Heb. 8:12). Praise the Lord!
Now that we are forgiven and washed by taking Christ as our trespass offering with the confession of our sins in the divine light, we can come to drink Christ as the living water for us to become the New Jerusalem (John 4:14-18).
The result of our taking Christ as our trespass offering by confessing our sins is that we are brought forward to the Lord as the fountain of water to drink of Him, and we are built up together in Him and with the saints to become the church as the Body of Christ, consummating in the New Jerusalem! Praise the Lord!
Taking Christ as our trespass offering to receive the forgiveness of sins issues in our fearing God and loving God, for whoever is forgiven much, loves much (Psa. 130:4; Luke 7:47-50).
There is no more condemnation. We are cleansed. We love Him. We fear Him, fearing losing His presence. Amen!
Lord Jesus, we take You as the reality of the trespass offering so that we may experience You as the redeeming One, the shining One, and the reigning One! We come to You, Lord, and we want to enjoy You as the supply of life in the fellowship of life! Thank You for Your shining. We agree with Your shining. We confess our sins, transgressions, mistakes, and shortcoming under Your shining. Amen, Lord, thank You we can make a thorough confession of all our sins and impurity so that we may have a good and pure conscience. Hallelujah, if we confess our sins, God is faithful in His word to forgive us our sins and righteous in His redemption to cleanse us from all unrighteousness! Amen, Lord, we praise You for being our Advocate with the Father to restore our interrupted fellowship with the Father for us to abide in the enjoyment of the divine fellowship!
Experience the Spiritual Cycle of the Eternal Life, the Fellowship, the Light, and the Blood to Remain in the Divine Fellowship and Grow in Life unto Maturity

In 1 John 1:1-9 we see a spiritual cycle in our Christian life formed of four crucial things: the eternal life, the fellowship of the eternal life, the divine light, and the blood of Jesus, the Son of God.
The apostle John’s writing is mysterious yet so organic and encouraging; he writes using very common words but the concept and experience behind these things is very deep and sweet.
We, believers in Christ, have been brought into the fellowship of the divine life when we were regenerated, and we started to walk in the light, even as God is in the light. As we live in the divine light, we are under the Lord’s shining, and we are exposed.
The divine light exposes, according to God’s divine nature and through God’s nature in us, all our sins, failures, trespasses, and defects which contradict God’s pure light, His perfect love, His absolute holiness, and His excelling righteousness.
We are simply exposed, and our conscience is enlightened. We are condemned in our conscience, for our conscience is enlightened.
We need the cleansing of the redeeming blood of the Lord Jesus.
We confess our sins under the Lord’s light, not justifying our sins and mistakes, nor fighting with the light, and the redeeming blood of the Lord Jesus cleanses us in our conscience.
As we confess our sins, we are washed and cleansed, our conscience is purified and made clean, and our fellowship with God and with one another is restored.
On the one hand, we have an unbreakable relationship with God, for we are His children and have His life and nature. On the other hand, our fellowship with God can be interrupted because of sin, so it is conditional.
We can maintain our fellowship with God and remain in the divine fellowship by means of the constant cleansing of the blood of Christ.
Here we see a spiritual cycle formed of four main things in our Christian experience.
First, we have the eternal life, then there’s the fellowship of the eternal life, and then we have the divine light, and finally the blood of Jesus, the Son of God.
First, as we enjoy the eternal life, we have the fellowship of life, and this fellowship of the eternal life brings us into the divine light.
In the divine light, we are exposed to see our sins and trespasses, so we confess, and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all our sins.
As we are cleansed by the blood of Jesus, we have more eternal life, which brings in the fellowship of life, and the divine light shines on us, and we confess our sins again, being washed by the blood of Christ.
This is our experience day by day; it is a spiritual cycle in our Christian life, which brings us onward in the growth of the divine life until we reach the maturity of life.
Thank the Lord that we have the provision of the divine life, the fellowship of eternal life, the divine light, and the blood of Christ for us to go on with Him!
We are in God’s family, and we enjoy the riches of God’s being in our spirit.
But when we make mistakes and break the family regulations, when we sin, the Lord shines on us, we confess, He forgives us, and our Advocate pleads our case before the Father to restore our fellowship with Him.
We simply need to remain in this spiritual cycle in our spiritual life so that we may go on with the Lord in the growth of the divine life until we reach the maturity of life. Amen!
Lord Jesus, we love You and we open to You. Thank You for dispensing Your eternal life into us, bringing us into the fellowship of the eternal life. We treasure the sweet flow of life. We want to live in the fellowship of the divine life today by walking in the light. Amen, Lord, as we live in the light, You expose all our sins, trespasses, failures, and defects. Oh Lord, enlighten our conscience and expose any hindrance to the flow of life. We confess our sins. We agree with Your light. We say Amen to what You say is sin, trespass, impurity, failure, and defect in us. Amen, Lord, cleanse us with Your precious blood. Cleanse us in our conscience from all our sins so that our fellowship with God and with one another may be maintained. Oh, Lord, we want to remain in this spiritual cycle in our Christian life. We want to maintain our fellowship with the Lord and with one another by means of the eternal life, the fellowship of life, the divine light, and the blood of Christ, issuing in our growth in the divine life until we reach the maturity of life!

– Walk in the light, and thou shalt know / That fellowship of love / His Spirit only can bestow, / Who reigns in light above. / Walk in the light, and thou shalt find / Thy heart made truly His; / Who dwells in cloudless light enshrined, / In whom no darkness is. / Walk in the light, and sin abhorred / Shall ne’er defile again; / The blood of Jesus Christ the Lord / Shall cleanse from every stain. (Hymns #658 stanzas 1-3)
– Fellowship with Thee to give; / Thru Thy light we take Thy cleansing / And in fellowship may live. / By the light and blood which cleanses, / The anointing we shall know; / Then the life of love Thine essence, / More and more in us will flow. (Hymns #13 stanzas 5-6)
– Thou art the sin-oblation, / For us Thou sin wast made; / By death for our redemption / The ransom Thou hast paid. / Thou art the trespass-offering, / Thou all our sins didst bear / To satisfy God’s justice, / That we His pardon share. (Hymns #195 stanza 4)

Life-study of 1 John, pp. 117-119, by Witness Lee
Dear brother, if we confess our sins, God is faithful in His word to forgive us and righteous in His redemption to forgive us our sins and righteous in His redemption to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Amen!
Furthermore, Christ as our elder Brother is our Advocate with the Father to restore our interrupted fellowship with the Father so that we may abide in the enjoyment of the divine fellowship.
Ameeen!!!
Our Father is ready and willing to welcome us to Himself. If we confess our sins, God is faithful and righteous in Christ’s redemption as our sin and trespass offering to cleanse us from all unrighteousness that we may be kept and preserved in the cycle of life – life, fellowship, light, and the blood of Jesus for our growth until we reach the maturity of life.
Christ as our elder Brother, the life-giving Spirit, is our Advocate with the Father, the One who is alongside with us to help us, serve us, care for us, to restore our interrupted fellowship with the Father so that we may abide in the enjoyment of the divine fellowship to be in the reality of living in the Body of Christ. Hallelujah!!!
Amen brother. We must confess our sins – falling short of the glory of God – but praise the Lord Christ our elder brother is our Advocate with the Father!
You are our righteous Father, faithful in Your word and righteous in Your redemption.
In the case of this family affair between the Father and His children, the Lord Jesus is our advocate and elder brother taking care of our case and guiding us.
We only need to apply You Lord, apply the redemption blood, confess and receive the divine life and divine light.
Our eternal advocate with The Father, we apply Your precious blood, repenting and confessing all our sins that block our participation in the divine fellowship.
Thank You, God, for Your faithful and righteous heart that restores us into the divine fellowship vertically and horizontally. Keep our hearts still faithful to Thee, Lord!
What a friend and elder brother we have in Jesus. He bears all our sins and takes care of our case with the Father.
We need to be always open to the circulation of eternal life within our being, enjoying this life in fellowship, remaining under the divine light and receiving the cleansing of the precious blood of Christ. Our Father is just waiting to forgive us our sins and to wash away the stains of our transgressions.
We do not need to fear His wrath, for our brother Jesus comes alongside to help us, to serve us, to take care of our case, and to provide whatever we need.
May we retain the vision of the heavenly scenery.
Yes, we love You, Jesus.
