The Triune God will Give Life to our Mortal Body through His Spirit who Indwells us

...He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you. Rom. 8:11

The Triune God went through a process in order to become a life-giving Spirit who came into our spirit to impart Himself into us and make our spirit life, and He spreads into our mind to make our mind life, and He will also give life to our mortal body to make us life even in our body, swallowing up our whole being in His life! Praise the Lord!

What a wonderful indwelling Christ we have! Thank the Lord for unveiling us to see Christ who not only came to die for our sins and redeem us back to God but even more, came into us to regenerate us and dwell within us.

All this is revealed in Romans chapter 8, which can be considered the focus of the entire Bible and the centre of the universe.

This chapter reveals that the Triune God went through a process in order to become the law of the Spirit of life in our spirit giving the divine life to us, the believers in Christ, for our living. Hallelujah!

The way God accomplishes His economy to obtain a corporate expression of Himself in humanity is by being the all-inclusive life-giving Spirit as the ultimate consummation of the Triune God!

It is by being the Spirit that God is making us the same as Christ in life, nature, and expression, but not in the Godhead. Praise the Lord!

We believers in Christ are not in the flesh but in the spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in us.

Does the Spirit of God dwell in us? Yes, the Spirit is in our spirit, even mingled with our spirit as one spirit; however, do we allow the Spirit of God to make His home in us?

When we allow the Spirit of God to make His home in all the parts of our inner being, we will be in spirit and not in the flesh.

Yet if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not of Him; this shows us that our being of Christ depends on His Spirit. We have the Spirit of Christ, which is the Spirit of God, so we are of Christ; we belong to Christ.

The Spirit with our spirit is the triune Spirit of the Triune God, the consummation of the processed Triune God coming into our spirit through regeneration to mingle Himself with us.

Thank the Lord that Christ is in us and, though our body is dead because of sin, our spirit is life because of righteousness.

A third of our being, the innermost part of our being, our mingled spirit, is life. Yes, the flesh has death in it, for Satan as sin dwells in our flesh, but at the same time, our spirit is life because God in Christ as the Spirit dwells in our spirit! Wow, our spirit is life!

As we set our mind on our spirit, our mind also becomes life (Rom. 8:6), and eventually, even our body will be swallowed up in the divine life, for God as the Spirit imparts life even to our mortal body! Praise the Lord!

The Triune God will Give Life to our Mortal Body through His Spirit who Indwells us

And if the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you. Rom. 8:11

Romans 8:11 tells us that, if the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to our mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells us. Amen!

This verse shows us the entire Triune God – God the Father is the One who raised Jesus from the dead, Jesus Christ is there being raised, and His Spirit indwells us.

The entire Triune God works together in oneness to dispense the divine life in our being, not only to regenerate our spirit and make our spirit life, not only to dispense His life into our mind to make our mind life, but even more, to give life to our mortal body! Hallelujah!

That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit into the inner man, That Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love, May be full of strength to apprehend with all the saints what the breadth and length and height and depth are And to know the knowledge-surpassing love of Christ, that you may be filled unto all the fullness of God. Eph. 3:16-19In this verse we also have the process required for the divine dispensing to take place, for here we see Jesus (emphasising incarnation), Christ (emphasising crucifixion and resurrection), and raised from the dead (emphasising resurrection).

How can God impart His life into our entire tripartite being? It is only by going through a process to become a life-giving Spirit coming into our spirit to make our spirit life, then spreading into our mind and our whole soul to fill our soul with His life, and eventually He will give life to our mortal body through His Spirit. Hallelujah!

In this verse, we also have the dispensing of the Triune God into us, the believers in Christ, for here we see, give life to your mortal bodies.

This dispensing occurs not only at the center of our being – our spirit, which is life (v. 10) but even more, reaching the circumference, our mortal body, to give life to our mortal body.

On the one hand, this verse is so wonderful and encouraging; on the other hand, Paul’s utterance seems to be quite complicated.

Here he’s talking not about the Spirit of God or the Spirit of Christ, mentioned in the previous two verses, but of the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead.

God is the One who raised Jesus from the dead; why doesn’t Paul just say directly that the Spirit of God dwells in us?

Though it may seem complicated, Paul is very sober and clear; what he speaks of is not nonsense, nor is it an utterance using unnecessary words.

When Paul wrote these verses, he was full of feeling that our very God is the processed and consummated God.

Our God came to the earth to become a man, Jesus Christ; He lived a human life for thirty-three and a half years. He went to the cross and was crucified, He died, and He was resurrected. God raised Him from the dead, and now the Spirit of this One dwells in us.

This Spirit includes God, man, death, and resurrection. What a wonderful title He has, the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead!

This One dwells in us! He makes His home in us, He imparts life to our whole being, and He will give life to our mortal bodies!

Paul’s ministry shows us the Triune God processed and consummated to become the Spirit of life coming into us to indwell us and give life to our mortal bodies.

The fact that He gives life to our mortal bodies doesn’t refer to the divine healing but to the result of our allowing the Spirit of God to make His home in us and saturate our entire being with the divine life (Eph. 3:16-19).

For the law of the Spirit of life has freed me in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and of death. Rom. 8:2 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace. Rom. 8:6He starts from our spirit, coming into our spirit to make our spirit life (Rom. 8:10), and continues in our soul, making our mind life (v. 6), and finally, He will give life to our mortal body through His Spirit who indwells us (v. 11).

As He makes His home in our heart little by little, day by day, He imparts the divine life into our soul to fill our soul with His divine life.

Then, one day, the Triune God will give life to our mortal body through His Spirit who indwells us.

God’s purpose is to work Himself as the God of life through His incarnation, death, and resurrection, to become a life-giving Spirit and dispense Himself as life into us.

This will cause our entire tripartite being – spirit, soul, and body – to be filled with the divine life and even to become life.

In this way, God gives His life to our mortal, dying body, not merely to heal our body but even more, to enliven our body to carry out His will!

Praise the Lord, even our body, which is dying, fragile, and corrupted, full of weakness, sickness, and decay, even this body will one day be reached by the dispensing of the divine life! Praise the Lord!

Sometimes we may have a foretaste of this when we go through sickness and we touch the Lord in a living way, stand on His word, and experience His healing.

One day, however, our mortal body will be filled and saturated with the divine life to become a glorious body, free from sin and death, fully alive for the Lord and His purpose! Hallelujah!

Lord Jesus, thank You for coming into us as the Spirit of life to dispense Yourself as life into our whole being! Hallelujah, the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us, and one day He will give life to our mortal body who indwells us! Praise the Lord! We open to You, dear Lord Jesus. We open to Your inner dispensing of life. Dispense more of Your divine life into our soul. Saturate our mind, emotion, and will. Give life to every part of our inner being. Oh Lord, we just open! We give ourselves to You today! Spread from our spirit into our mind, emotion, and will, and have a way to give life to our mortal body! Praise the Lord, one day He who raised Jesus from the dead will also give life to our mortal body through His Spirit who indwells us! Oh, Lord, we love You as the Spirit! You are the life-giving Spirit! You are the life-imparting Spirit! Impart more of Your life into our tripartite being so that You may saturate us with all that You are and make our whole being life!

Christ as the Life-giving Spirit Spreads from our Spirit to our Soul and our Body to Fill our being with the Divine Life

But you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Yet if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not of Him. But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the spirit is life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you. Rom. 8:9-11Romans 8:9-11 is a crucial portion in the book of Romans, showing us how the Triune God in Christ as the life-giving Spirit imparts the divine life to our spirit, soul, and body to fill and saturate our whole being with the divine life. Hallelujah!

In verse 11 in particular, we see the Spirit of resurrection who will one day give life to our mortal bodies. In verse 10 we are told that, since Christ is in us, our spirit is life because of righteousness.

Earlier in verse 6, we see that, when we set our mind on our spirit, our mind becomes life. God in Christ as the Spirit who gives life comes into our spirit, the centre of our being, and makes our spirit life by dwelling in us.

Then, He spreads from the centre to the circumference, first saturating our soul and making our soul life, and eventually, He will even give life to our mortal body through His Spirit who indwells us.

Though our body is dying, full of corruption, and is fragile, Christ as the life-giving Spirit, will one day give life to our body.

Even our body can participate in the divine life, be sustained with this life, and be supplied with this divine life through the Spirit who dwells in us.

Christ is now the Spirit (1 Cor. 15:45; 2 Cor. 3:17), and He dwells in us as the Spirit who gives life. We may even say that God has been processed to be the available Spirit of life (Rom. 8:2).

He is available to us all the time; He is not only outside of us, ready to be breathed in by us and received by us, but even more, He is within us, ready to dispense His life to our mind, emotion, and will, and even to our body!

He is like the air for breathing (John 20:22), available for us all the time and ready to be received by us.

First, He has come into our spirit, making our spirit life.  Then, He spreads into our mind as we set our mind on our spirit, thus making our mind life.  Eventually, our body will also be swallowed up by His life to be conformed to the body of His glory.

In this way, Christ as the life-giving Spirit spreads from our spirit (the centre of our being) through our soul and to our body (the circumference of our being) to make our whole being life!

And when He had said this, He breathed into [them] and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit. John 20:22 And the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Cor. 3:17A good illustration of this is electricity; when electricity is installed in a house, it reaches all the lights, all the sockets, and all the household appliances and devices.

All we need to do is flip the switch or plug in a device, and the electricity simply flows, for it has been installed. However, if the flow of electricity is hindered by any insulation or fault, electricity cannot flow freely.

Today we believers in Christ have the Triune God in Christ as the life-giving Spirit installed in our spirit to flow into every part of our being, reaching even our mortal body.

But if there is any insulation in us, if the flow of the divine life is hindered by our unrenewed mind, unrestrained emotions, and unsubmissive will, the Lord is hindered from dispensing life into our inner being.

Our spirit is life; our soul, however, has many problems which constitute insulations to the flow of God’s life in us.

Our emotions may be a frustration to Christ, for we love so many things that He does not love, and we care for things that He does not agree with.

May we ask the Lord to break through our emotions so that He may impart His life into them.

May we open to the Lord and let Him impart Himself as life into our mind, emotions, and will, so that He may fill us with the riches of His life.

As we cooperate with Him in this way day by day, one day He will give life to our mortal body through His Spirit who indwells us.

Lord Jesus, thank You for coming into our spirit as the Spirit of life to impart the divine life into every part of our being and make our whole being life! Amen, Lord, we open to You today. Break through our mind, emotions, and will. Deal with our unrenewed mind, our unrestrained emotions, and our unsubdued will. Cause us to open all the parts of our inner being to You more today. Break through our emotions so that You may impart Yourself as life into them. Oh Lord, we want to give You the opportunity to spread Yourself into every area and avenue of our being. Penetrate the hidden parts of our being and spread into every part. Impart Yourself as life in our mind, emotion, and will. We open to You as the available Spirit of life; we want to breathe You in and allow You to spread in us! May there be no insulation to Your dispensing today. Oh Lord, we just allow You to spread! Spread even to our mortal body to impart Your life to our body and fill it with Your life! Amen, Lord, do it in us! May You have a way to enliven our whole being to carry out Your will!

In Romans 8:11 we have three matters. First, we have the entire Triune God— the One who raised Jesus from the dead, Christ Jesus, and His Spirit who indwells you. Second, we have the process required for His dispensing, as implied in the words Jesus (emphasizing incarnation), Christ (emphasizing crucifixion and resurrection), and raised (emphasizing resurrection). Third, we have His dispensing of Himself into the believers, as shown by the phrase give life to your mortal bodies, which indicates that the dispensing not only occurs at the center of our being but also reaches to the circumference, to our whole being. The phrase give life to your mortal bodies does not refer to divine healing but to the result of our allowing the Spirit of God to make His home in us and saturate our entire being with the divine life (Eph. 3:16-19). In this way He gives His life to our mortal, dying body, not only to heal it but also that it may be enlivened to carry out His will.

Dear brother, the Triune God went through a process to become a life-dispensing Spirit who is now joined to our spirit.

He imparts the divine life to our spirit to make our spirit life, then He makes our mind life when we set our mind on our spirit, and eventually He will give life even to our mortal bodies!

The divine dispensing is from the center to the circumference of our being until He saturates us with His life!

May we allow Him today to saturate our mind, emotion, and will, and may we let Him break through in us so that He may saturate our soul with His life.

Lord, saturate our mind, emotion, and will with Yourself. Deal with our mind, break through our emotions, and subdue our will for You to spread into every part of our soul! Fill our whole being with Your life!

Amen, brother! To match God in His life, nature, expression, and be able to do His will, God has been processed to become the available Spirit of life to indwell us in our spirit.
He intends to give life even to our mortal, dying bodies.

How? This will be the result of our allowing the Spirit of God to make His home in our spirit, expanding to saturate our entire being (our soul, mind, emotion, will) plus our dying body with His divine life.

Lord, deal with my emotions. Break through my emotions that You may impart Yourself as life into them.

Impart Christ as the resurrected indwelling Spirit as life into every aspect of our being!

Ameeeen!!!!

It’s truly amazing that we have the entire Triune God—“the One who raised Jesus from the dead,” “Christ,” and “His Spirit who indwells you” in us.

The triune God is embodied in Christ, who is dispensing Himself into us in our tripartite being, from the center to the circumference life.

Lord Jesus, thank You for being the indwelling Spirit. We give You our consent

to make His home in us and saturate our entire being with the divine life. Do carry out Your will in us. Amen

In Romans 8:11 we see how the Triune God Himself, has been processed through incarnation (Jesus), crucified and resurrection (Christ) to give life to our mortal bodies.

Through such a dispensing of Himself as the Spirit in our spirit we receive the life of God, with Christ installed in us as the life-giving Spirit to fill our entire being – spirit, soul and body – to be enlivened to carry out His will! Amen!

Lord, fill our whole being with life!

Our greatest need is to become like Christ in image & likeness/character. For this, Christ is now the indwelling Spirit in us, and this indwelling Spirit is the resurrected Christ who is constantly desiring to impart life to every aspect of our being.

Christ is waiting to penetrate the hidden parts of our being.

The more we exercise our spirit, the more our Christ is able to spread Himself from our spirit into our soul, and eventually even expand into our mortal body.

We do not wait for our bodies to be enlivened in the future. Even now, Christ wants to enliven our mortal body so that we may be useful vessels for Him.

Amen. Lord, we give You the ground to spread Yourself from our spirit into our mind, emotions & will, and even to give life to our mortal body.
