Seeing how the World Situation is the Indicator of the Lord’s Move on Earth

We need to see how the world situation is an indicator of the Lord's move on earth, and we need to cooperate with Him to be produced as His overcomers.

In serving the Lord we all need to be perfected by Him so that we may serve Him in an intrinsic way according to His desire.

We need to realize that today in Christianity there are many who think they are “serving God” but they do not have a proper knowledge or experience of the Spirit as the Spirit who gives life, the life-giving Spirit, the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the Spirit of life, and the sevenfold intensified Spirit.

It is crucial for us in serving the Lord to know the revelation of the Scriptures, the divine truths, and have the proper and genuine theology, so that we may serve Him in an up-to-date way. Furthermore, we need to realize that today Christ is the sevenfold intensified Spirit in our spirit, and as such a One He fulfills God’s economy.

We need to realize that there’s a divine history going on – behind the human scene, the human history, there’s a divine history, in which God is mingling Himself with man and He is accomplishing God’s economy.

Christ is the last Craftsman used by God to break the human government; Christ with His overcomers – the corporate overcoming Christ – will soon return to crush human government, destroy Antichrist, and bring in the kingdom of God to earth.

In the divine history within the human history God in Christ is carrying out God’s economy, men are being saved, the church is being built up, the Body of Christ is produced and built up, and even more: as the sevenfold intensified Spirit Christ is now intensifying His organic salvation to produce many of His believers who cooperate with Him as His overcomers!

May we be those who see the divine history within the human history, and may we cooperate with the Lord’s intensified work of salvation to be produced as the overcomers who will end this age, bring the Lord back, and bring in God’s kingdom!

Today we want to see something further concerning our serving the Lord: realizing that the world situation is an indicator of the Lord’s move on earth, and how God operates in the world situation to carry out His purpose.

Seeing how the World Situation is the Indicator of the Lord’s Move on Earth

Acts 17:26-27 And He made from one every nation of men..., determining beforehand their appointed seasons and the boundaries of their dwelling, that they might seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, even though He is not far from each one of us.God made from one every nation of men; He determined beforehand their appointed seasons and the boundaries of their dwelling, that they might seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him – even though He’s not far from each one of us (Acts 17:26-27).

It is a historical fact that the world situation has always been an indicator of the Lord’s move on earth; the Bible doesn’t just tell us of the history of the people of Israel but of how God moves in man and with man.

The carrying out of God’s economy has much to do with the world situation, and we as believers in Christ need to have the proper view of history, realizing that today and throughout the ages God is moving.

For example, the mass migration of the refugees from the Arab-speaking countries to Europe, particularly to Germany, is not merely part of world history – the Lord is moving, He is operating, and He is bringing hundreds of thousands of His seekers into a realm where the gospel can be preached to them for them to be saved and come to the full knowledge of the truth.

When the communism fell in Russia, this was not merely a world event: God opened a whole country for the gospel, and now there are hundreds of local churches with thousands of saints preaching the high gospel.

It is a historical fact that the world situation has always been the indicator of the Lord’s move on earth....The Bible is a history of God’s economy....The carrying out of His economy has much to do with the world situation. Witness LeeOur Christ is the Leader and Savior; as the Leader, He directs the whole world situation to make it fit for God’s people to receive His salvation (see Acts 5:31; 17:26-27).

Think back of your situation: God marvelously arranged people, things, and events to lead you to salvation, and He is still working in your environment to get you fully saved in His life so that you may become an overcomer for Him.

Today at the end of this age the mystery of lawlessness is working among the nations, but at the same time God is moving, people are open to the Lord in an unprecedented way, and many receive the Lord, are filled with His life, and come into the proper and genuine church life to build up the Body of Christ for the Lord to obtain what He is after among us.

When we read the news or check the newspaper we should not merely know how bad the situation is, how there’s war and strife and evil things happening, but we need to have God’s view and pray for God’s move, realizing that the world situation is an indicator of God’s move on earth.

Lord Jesus, cause us to see how the world situation is the indicator of the Lord’s move on earth! Grant us Your view of the current events and of the world history so that we may see Your move, cooperate with Your move, and pray for Your economy to be fulfilled today. Oh Lord, may Your economy be carried out on earth today! May many hungry seeking ones from the Middle East, Europe, Asia, America, and Africa get to know You, receive You, and come to the full knowledge of the truth! Lord, gain Your overcomers today from all tribes, tongues, and nations!

The Mystery of Lawlessness is Working Among the Nations Culminating in Antichrist

2 Thes. 2:2-3 ...The day of the Lord...will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition.

If we have the proper view of the world situation, we will see that the Lord is moving toward accomplishing His economy; at the same time, there’s a mystery of lawlessness working today among the nations and in human society, and this lawlessness will culminate in the man of lawlessness, Antichrist (2 Thes. 2:3-10).

Sin is lawlessness (1 John 3:4); lawlessness is to reject the principle of God’s rule over man. In society today there’s a mystery of lawlessness operating, and many times as we read/watch the news we wonder, How can this person do this? Why did this happen? He was such a good man – why did he do this?

Outwardly there’s a mystery of lawlessness operating, and inwardly there’s another mystery going on, the mystery of godliness, the mystery of God being mingled with man. The mystery of lawlessness will culminate with Antichrist, who will be the power of Satan, the embodiment of Satan; he will persecute and destroy the people of God – both the God-fearing Jews and the Christ-believing Christians (see Dan. 8:24; Rev. 12:17; 13:7).

There’s so much anti-Semitism today, and there’s much persecution of genuine believers – not because they do bad things, but because in society there’s a mystery of lawlessness operating.

Not too long from now, such a man will rise up; the Bible doesn’t leave us in darkness – it reveals us Christ and also Antichrist, and when he appears, we shall be able to recognize him easily. This should motivate us to be the early overcomers!

The mystery of lawlessness is working today among the nations and in human society; this lawlessness will culminate in the man of lawlessness, Antichrist (2 Thes. 2:3-10). Witness LeeAntichrist will demolish and desolate the temple of God and the city of God; he will cast truth to the ground (see Dan. 9:27; 8:12). Soon, very soon, the temple in Jerusalem will be rebuilt; when Antichrist comes, he will make a covenant with Israel, allowing them to continue to bring the offerings and worship God in the temple, but then he will destroy it in the middle of the 7 years period.

Antichrist will have a sharp insight to perceive things and will speak things against the Most High (Dan. 7:8, 20, 25). He will be smart, intelligent, and outspoken, and he will speak things against God which people will believe, thus drawing them away from the worship of God to worshipping him.

Antichrist will wear out the saints of the Most High (Dan. 7:25); his wearing out tactics are operating today to wear out our love for the Lord, our consecration to Him, and our spiritual realization of things. Satan doesn’t suddenly wear us out but slowly, just as a dimmer slowly dims the light….until we no longer spend time with the Lord or seek Him or have time to meet with the saints. Oh Lord Jesus!

Satan and Antichrist want the souls of men to be the instruments for their activities in the last age (see Rev. 18:11-13; 2 Tim. 3:5; cf. Zech. 12:1). Antichrist will be a man of the soul – his soul will be very powerful, and he wants man to exercise his soul and neglect his spirit, that is, be powerful in the soul and weak in the spirit (see Jude 1:19).

May we be those who are not dominated, controlled, or regulated by their soul but may we be those who exercise our spirit! As the beloved ones of God, may we pray in the Holy Spirit, keep ourselves in the love of God, and await the mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

When we exercise our spirit to enjoy the Triune God, be are being united, mingled, and incorporated with Him to become the New Jerusalem, the totality of the eternal life! It all starts with the exercise of our spirit.

Don’t think it’s a small thing to reject yourself and exercise your spirit, because Satan and Antichrist want the souls of men to be the instruments for their activities in the last age!

Lord Jesus, we want to pray in the Holy Spirit, keep ourselves in the love of God, and wait the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Save us from being controlled, dominated, or regulated by our soul. We choose to reject ourselves and exercise our spirit so that we would NOT become Satan’s instruments. Oh Lord Jesus, thank You for our mingled spirit! Keep us in our spirit. Keep us turning to our spirit and living according to the spirit so that we may overcome any wearing out tactics of the enemy!

Daniel 7:25 indicates that the little horn will “wear out the saints of the Most High.” Antichrist will put the saints under his hand and gradually wear them out. How he will do this I do not know. It is more difficult to endure this wearing out than to be put to death suddenly. Do not wait to experience this yourself. Rather, pray that you might escape it. The more we see someone arising who looks like this person, the more we need to pray, “Lord, if this is the one, take me away before he comes into power. I do not want to be under his hand.” (Witness Lee, Life-study of Revelation, p. 472)
