As Christ is the Prophet Raised by God, so we are Prophets Speaking the Word of God

October 23, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

As the firstborn Son of God being the Word of God (John 1:1) is God's oracle for the speaking and dispensing of God to carry out His eternal economy, so the many sons of God being members of the Word of God are God's oracle, speaking and dispensing God for the spreading of God and the increase of Christ. The firstborn Son of God is the oracle of God, and we are the many sons. This means that all the sons are God's oracle so that God may have a spread and Christ may have an increase. Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994-1997, vol. 5, ”The Vital Groups,” p. 83

Just as Christ is the Prophet raised by God, so we today as His brothers and sons of God are prophets speaking the Word of God. In Deut. 18:15 Moses prophesied that God will raise up a Prophet from among the people of Israel, and he will be like him, speaking the Word of God […]

God Desires that All His People would be Prophets, God’s Spokesmen who Speak for God

October 22, 2019 by aGodMan 1 Comment

But Moses said to him, Are you jealous for my sake? Oh that all Jehovah's people were prophets, that Jehovah would put His Spirit upon them! Num. 11:29

God’s desire in both the Old and the New Testament was that His people would speak for Him; Moses expressed God’s desire when he said, Oh that all of God’s people would be prophets (Num. 11:29). However, when we speak of the matter of being a prophet, many today think that to prophesy is to […]

Our God is a Speaking God, and this Speaking God desires to have a Speaking People

For He spoke, and it was; He commanded, and it stood. Psa. 33:9

Our God is a speaking God; He is no longer merely hidden and mysterious, but He is speaking, He revealed Himself, and we today are the speaking people of our speaking God. In Num. 11:29 there’s a hidden small gem, a crystal, which is the expression of God’s desire and Moses’ desire, Oh that all […]

Being those who Properly Represent God with His Authority as Ambassadors of Christ

October 19, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

On behalf of Christ then we are ambassadors, as God entreats you through us; we beseech you on behalf of Christ, Be reconciled to God. 2 Cor. 5:20

In the book of Numbers we see that the one who has been appointed by God to be a deputy authority must be a proper representative of God; we need to see the characteristics of those who properly represent God with His authority to His people. This week we have been looking at the book […]

We Experience Christ in His Resurrection as our Authority in the God-given Ministry

October 18, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Resurrection is the basis of authority. The basis of God’s appointment of authority is resurrection. The basis of God’s vindication of His appointed authority is resurrection.

In Num. 17 we see God’s vindication of His appointed authority, which is the budding rod of Aaron; this shows that we need to experience Christ in His resurrection in the God-given ministry. In Num. 16 we see the general rebellion of the leaders and the people of Israel against Moses and Aaron, and we […]

We need to be Saved from Ambition and from Rebelling against God’s Deputy Authority

October 17, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Who being reviled did not revile in return; suffering, He did not threaten but kept committing all to Him who judges righteously. 1 Pet. 2:23

In Num. 12 and 16 of Numbers we see the rebellion against God’s deputy authority, how Moses reacted to it, and how God deals with rebellion. In the book of Numbers it seems that there was rebellion after rebellion, from the murmuring of the people of Israel against Moses and against God concerning their basic […]

Authority and Rebellion: we need to Submit to God’s Authority and Reject Rebellion

October 16, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

...Behold, there was a throne set in heaven, and upon the throne there was One sitting. Rev. 4:2

The unique controversy between God and Satan concerns authority and rebellion; rebellion is the denial of God’s authority and the rejection of God’s rule, so we as believers should submit to God’s authority and uphold it, and we should assert that authority is with God. There are two great principles in the universe – God’s […]
