The Cross Purifies us and the Spirit Saturates us to make us Transparent like Clear Glass

Examine me, O Jehovah, and try me; / Test my inward parts and my heart. Psa. 26:2

Our destiny as believers in Christ is to become the holy city, New Jerusalem, pure gold like clear glass, with no opaqueness but fully taking the divine nature as our element and being transparent like clear glass to express God in His glory. Hallelujah!

Today we are in the process of being purified; we are not only cleansed by the Lord’s precious blood, and we’re not only under the washing of the water in the Word, but we are also being purified.

Like the people of Israel when they returned from Babylon to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple of God, we also have mixture and impurities in our being.

We harbour many things and aspects of the enemy in our being, and there is much ground in us for the enemy.

Little by little, the Lord is exposing the impurities, mixture, and uncleanness in us, and we agree with the Lord’s light to condemn them, remove them, and have them purged from our being.

On one hand, we need to be in the word of God and seek the Lord to have His leading and enlightening, even His supply for our daily life.

On the other hand, we need to come to the Lord in His word and have His shining so that anything of mixture, uncleanness, and impurity may be exposed in us.

As we live the Christian life and the church life, the Lord is faithful to shine on us and point out certain blind spots, things that we’re oblivious about but are clear natural and impure matters.

We may live in a certain way and have particular habits that we think are ok, until one the Lord shines on us and exposes the enemy’s ground in our being.

May we proactively come to the Lord and allow His word to be like a two-edged sword piercing to divide the soul from the spirit so that we may remain in our spirit and reject anything from the natural man.

Many times we think we are OK, and we live in a certain way, doing certain things, and speaking particular things with no consciousness of the fact that these are full of mixture and impurity.

Our way of living, our behaviour, and the things in our being are so full of mixture.

There is not only sin, the flesh, the self, and the natural man that is being manifested through us, but in our very constitution, there is mixture and impurity.

Many times the Lord exposes these impurities, and we simply confess them.

Under His light, we cannot but weep and confess our sins, condemning any impurity and mixture so that the Lord would operate in us to remove these things by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Even in our work for the Lord, as we labor in doing this and that for Him, we may have an impure motive and different aim; impurity in God’s work disqualifies us from serving God.

May the Lord deliver us from any impurity and mixture, and may He make us crystal clear and transparent like pure gold, clear glass, for Him to be expressed through us.

Being Infused and Saturated with the Life-giving Spirit to be Transparent like Clear Glass Expressing God

And the building work of its wall was jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass...And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was, respectively, of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. Rev. 21:18, 21 And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb in the middle of its street. Rev. 22:1The city of New Jerusalem is pure gold, like clear glass, and the street of the city is pure gold, like transparent glass (Rev. 21:18, 21).

We may have read these verses before and we may have taken these things for granted, but they are very meaningful.

As those who are today in the process of being purified and transformed, we will one day be like clear glass, even like transparent glass.

This means that the One on the throne, God in the Lamb, is being expressed through us, who are the wall of the city.

We have the divine nature of God, signified by gold, and we are daily being purified to the extent that we are like clear glass, expressing the marvellous treasure within us – the Christ of glory.

Gold signifies the nature of God, and the fact that the city of New Jerusalem is pure gold indicates that the city is of the divine nature and takes the divine nature as its element.

Today we are experiencing the Spirit living in us and working within us; as a result, we become righteous.

Spontaneously, as we remain in this process of being transformed, our inner being is transparent like clear glass, and we become crystal clear in regards to the heart of God.

Immediately, we know the mind of the Lord and we have a clear understanding concerning His will and work.

The result is that the things we do and say are according to the Lord’s mind and will.

If we are not enjoying the work of the Spirit in us and we don’t allow the Lord to live in us, if we don’t let Him purify our inner being and reconstitute us with Himself, we will not be clear concerning the Lord’s will, and we will not understand what He is doing today.

May we be daily infused and saturated with the life-giving Spirit so that our entire tripartite being would become transparent.

May we daily spend time with the Lord and let Him infuse us with Himself so that, on one hand, the negative things in our being would be discharged, and the element of God would be added into our being.

When we are daily infused and saturated with the life-giving Spirit, our inner being becomes transparent.

We will be clear concerning the Lord’s will, and we will spontaneously do His will and we will be in His will.

We will also know how should we act toward others and how to deal with our material possessions.

Then we will become a righteous person, a person who is right in small things as well as in great things.

As a result of experiencing the Spirit living and working within us, we become righteous. Spontaneously, our inner being is transparent, crystal clear, and we know the heart of God. Immediately, without effort, we know the mind of the Lord and have a clear understanding concerning His will and work. Then what we do is according to the Lord's mind and will. If you are infused and saturated by the life-giving Spirit, your inner being will become transparent. Then you will know what is in the Lord's mind. You will also understand what the will of the Lord is. Spontaneously, you will be in His will and do His will. As a result, you become right with Him. Moreover, you will realize how you should act toward others and even how you should deal with your material possessions. Then you will become a righteous person, one who is right in small things as well as in great things, one who is right with God, with others, and with himself. This is a person who expresses God, for his righteousness is the image of God, God expressed. Life-study of 2 Corinthians, pp. 242-243, by Witness LeeWhen our being becomes transparent like clear glass, we will be right with God, right with others, and right with ourselves; we will become righteous in all things.

Such a person expresses God, for his righteousness is the image of God, God expressed through him.

We are slowly and surely becoming the new Jerusalem, and our whole being is becoming pure gold, for we take the divine nature as our element.

We are becoming transparent and not in the least opaque. May we take the divine nature as our way in our Christian life and in our service in the church.

As we do this, there will be purity and transparency.

However, sometimes we may fellowship with others but we’re not transparent; there are some things that we hold back, some black spots, and some things that are not that clear.

There is some darkness there. Oh, Lord. Our fellowship needs to be transparent; we need to be purified so that we may be transparent in our fellowship, with no impurity or mixture.

If we take God’s nature as our unique way, we will be pure and without any mixture, and we will be transparent without any opaqueness.

If we are infused and saturated with the life-giving Spirit, our inner being will become transparent and crystal clear (2 Cor. 3:8-9, 18).

Lord Jesus, we want to be infused and saturated with the life-giving Spirit so that our inner being may become transparent and crystal clear. Saturate us with Yourself and infuse us with the Spirit that gives life. Remove any impurity and sin, and eliminate any mixture from our being. May our inner being become transparent and crystal clear. We want to know the Lord’s mind and will, and we want to be in the will of God and do the will of God. Amen, Lord, make us the righteousness of God in Christ. Make us the righteous persons who are right in small things and in great things. Make us those who express God as we behold and reflect Him so that we may be Your corporate expression on the earth.

We need the Work of the Cross to Purge and Purify us so that we become Crystal Clear, without any Mixture

Search me, O God, and know my heart; / Try me, and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there is some harmful way in me, / And lead me on the eternal way. Psa. 139:23-24

If we want to have the real church life, we need to realize that the church must be pure gold, that is, altogether of the divine nature.

Rev. 1:11 and 20 say that the local churches are the seven golden lampstands. There is no other element in the golden lampstand except gold.

Similarly, there is no other element in the church except Christ with His divine nature of gold.

For us to be fully of the divine nature, we need the work of the cross to purge and purify us.

The result of the work of the cross is that we become crystal clear, without any mixture.

The city of New Jerusalem is of pure gold, with no mixture.

That He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of the water in the word. Eph. 5:26 For the word of God is living and operative and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit and of joints and marrow, and able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Heb. 4:12If we look today at the church in general and among Christians, we realize that there’s so much mixture.

The things of man are mixed with the things of God, and the things of the Spirit are mixed with the things of the flesh.

For us to have the real church life, we need the cross to purge and purify us so that we become crystal clear, without any mixture. And the cross is in the Spirit in our spirit.

The cross is in the shining of the seven eyes of the Lamb.

As we spend time with the Lord, the Spirit shines as the eyes of the Lamb, and we are infused, searched, and exposed by the Lord.

Furthermore, the cross operates in us and purifies us, purges us, and cleanses us from any impurity and mixture.

We need the work of the cross. We need to spend time with the Lord and allow Him to shine on us, expose any mixture and impurity in our being, and shine to eliminate and purge any mixture and impurity. Amen!

There is a difference between being cleansed and being purified. Being cleansed results in us being clean, but being clean is different from being purified.

Being clean and being pure are different things.

We may be surprised to hear this, but we need to be not only cleansed but even more, we need to be purified.

We need to not only be cleansed by the Lord’s blood (1 John 1:7, 9) and by the washing of the water in the word (Eph. 5) but even more, we need to be purified.

We need to be purified so much that we contain no mixture.

Gold can be purified until it contains no mixture and is even transparent.

May the Lord show us the difference between being cleansed and being purified.

We may be a good brother who is nice, gentle, and clean, but we may still have mixture in our being, and there may be impurity in us.

When others meet us, they cannot see through us; we are opaque. Being transparent, however, is something else.

We need to be purified to the extent that we are transparent, without any opaqueness.

The difference between apostate Christendom and the genuine church is that one is mixture and the other is pure.

The local churches, like the New Jerusalem, should be crystal clear, without any mixture (Rev. 22:1).

May we come to the word of God and allow the living and operative word of God to work in us to pierce and divide the soul and the spirit (Heb. 4:12).

But we all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit. 2 Cor. 3:18 Saying, What you see write in a scroll and send [it] to the seven churches: to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamos and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea. Rev. 1:11 The mystery of the seven stars which you saw upon My right hand and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the messengers of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches. Rev. 1:20As we do this, the word purifies us and eliminates any impurity, any mixture, and we become transparent, crystal clear.

When others meet us, they don’t see anything but Christ in us, for we’re just a transparent vessel to make visible the Son of God.

May we come to the word of God and let the word divide and pierce our being.

Also, may we allow the Word to wash us with the living water, as Eph. 5:26 says. We are cleansed and purified by the living water in the word of God.

May we take time to be with the Lord and let Him shine on us.

May we open the things in our being and in our life to Him. May we open every relationship, every involvement, every service, every dream, and every desire, and just tell Him to shine on us.

May we let the Lord examine us, try us, and test our inward parts and our heart (Psa. 26:2).

As we open to Him and let Him examine, test, and search us, He will purge and eliminate the impurities and the mixture, and we will simply agree with the light.

It is good to have a personal and private time with the Lord, enquiring of Him concerning our being and our condition, and letting Him shine on us and within us to examine, test, and search to eliminate and purge anything of mixture and impurity in our being.

Lord Jesus, we are here before You. We love You. Examine us and try us. Test our inward parts and our heart. We open to You concerning our relationships, our service to God, our dreams, and our desires. Search us, oh God, and test our inward parts. See if there is any wicked way in us. Expose any impurity and mixture. Wash us and cleanse us, and purify our inner being. Purify us by Your word. May Your word have a way to operate in our being to divide the soul from the spirit. We say Amen to Your word. We are here for You, dear Lord. We are here for Your interest and Your desire. Everything we have and are is for You. Make us crystal clear, Lord, and purify us to make us like clear gold, expressing You to others.

The problem of mixture is the biggest problem among workers. We often touch life in the brothers, but also touch death. We touch God in the brothers, but also touch their self. We touch a spirit of meekness, but also touch a stubborn self. We find the Holy Spirit in them, but also find the flesh in them…

If God intends for us to serve Him in the ministry of the word and if we have to speak for God, we have to ask for grace. We have to say, “God, work in me. Break my outer man, tear it down, and separate it from the inner man.”

If we have not experienced this deliverance, we will express our outer man subconsciously every time we open our mouth…We are the kind of person we are; we cannot pretend. If we want to be used by God, our spirit must be released, and this spirit must be pure…

If our outer man is not destroyed, we will carry our own cargo with us when we serve as ministers of the word. The Lord’s name will suffer loss, not on account of our lack of life, but on account of our mixture. The Lord’s name will suffer, and the church will suffer as well.

Our destiny is to be the holy city of pure gold, transparent and shining.

We need go allow the cross to operate in us to remove all impurity, and we need to be saturated with the Spirit to be constituted with God and become righteous even as He is righteous.

Lord, infuse us. Cleanse us. Purify us. Saturate us. Make us righteous. Be expressed through us. Make us the holy city, New Jerusalem!

The life giving Spirit helps us to know the mind and will of God so that we can live accordingly.

Our natural man should be totally terminated and the new man needs to be germinated.

This could happen by passing through the cross so that we can be pure as the pure gold is tested by fire.

Pure gold typified God. We are called, therefore, to be pure as gold so as to reflect our God to this dark world boldly.

Praise the Lord for His mercy upon us!

When we are infused and saturated with God spontaneously we are righteous, being transparent in our inner being, knowing His mind and will.

Then we are right with God, ourselves, man and even our material possessions.

This is to be pure, without mixture, and in this way we express God, being a righteous person according to His mage.

Lord Jesus continue to purify us so that we may become the righteousness of God in You for Your expression!

We must take God’s nature as our unique way.

God wants His sons to be pure, without any mixture.

The church must be 100% of God; absolutely of the divine nature.

Being pure is different from being clean.

Purified gold has no mixture and is transparent.

May we willingly come to Jesus to be purified by His death on the cross.

Since gold signifies the divine nature of God, the city’s being of pure gold signifies that New Jerusalem is altogether of God’s divine nature and takes God’s divine nature as its element. Pure gold, like clear glass indicates that the whole city is transparent and is not in the least opaque.

Rev. 21:18 footnote 3 on “gold”, Recovery Version Bible
