Enjoy the Fine, Balanced, and Perfect Humanity of Jesus mingled with the Holy Spirit

And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit... Luke 4:1

We can enjoy the fine, balanced, and perfect humanity of Jesus mingled with the Holy Spirit today.

The meal offering typifies Christ in His God-man living, in particular the humanity of Jesus which is fine and balanced, and the Spirit of God as the oil being mingled with Christ’s humanity. Amen!

This week in our morning revival we come to the topic of, Enjoying Christ as the Reality of the Meal Offering to Have a Meal-offering Christian Life and a Meal-offering Church Life, Consummating in the New Jerusalem as a Great Meal Offering—the Ultimate Consummation of the Mingling of the Triune God with the Tripartite Man.

We need to take all these matters to the Lord and pray over them, making them our prayers and asking the Lord to do this in us.

Every believer in Christ is a member of the Body of Christ, and we need to take the Lord’s word back to Himself so that He would do it in us, even according to what He has spoken.

We need to know, experience, and enjoy Christ as the reality of the meal offering so that we may have a meal offering Christian life and a meal offering church life.

Even as the Lord lived a life that was satisfying to the Father and He gave Himself for us not only to redeem us but also to become our food, we need to eat Him, eat His humanity, and live the meal offering Christian life and the meal offering church life.

Christ is the reality of the meal offering. He is our food for our satisfaction and enjoyment, and He lives in us the same kind of life so that we become a corporate meal offering.

May we bring the matter of the meal offering to the Lord so that He may shine on us and enlighten us to see what it means for us to eat Christ as the meal offering and become a corporate meal offering.

The meal offering encompasses everything in God’s economy, for in the significance and application of the meal offering we can see all the aspects of God’s economy.

Praise the Lord, we believers in Christ have a mingled spirit, and we are in the process of being mingled with God.

The Spirit Himself witnesses with our spirit (Rom. 8:16), and we are joined to the Lord as one spirit (1 Cor. 6:17).

How precious is our mingled spirit! And how wonderful it is that day by day we can contact the Lord and remain in the mingling process so that we may be mingled with God more and more each day!

Day by day we are under the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity to enjoy the transmitting of the transcending Christ for the producing of the church, the Body of Christ, as a corporate meal offering for God’s satisfaction and for man’s supply.

May we remain in the process of being mingled with God day by day until we become a corporate meal offering, one with the Lord and with the saints for Him to gain the New Jerusalem.

The Humanity of Jesus is Fine, Perfect, Tender, Balanced, and Right – He’s the Fine Flour for the Meal Offering

And when anyone presents an offering of a meal offering to Jehovah, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil on it and put frankincense on it. Lev. 2:1The meal offering (Lev. 2:1-16) typifies Christ in His God-man living. The main element of the meal offering is the fine flour, which is fine, perfect, tender, balanced, and right in every way.

The humanity of Jesus has no excess and no deficiency – it is perfect, fine, tender, and balanced.

The fine flour in the meal offering signifies the beauty and excellence of Christ’s human living and daily walk (John 18:38; 19:4, 6b; Luke 2:40; 23:14; Isa. 53:3).

Do we have such a humanity? We do not. We may appear outwardly to be so gentle and so nice, but we’re actually quite rough.

Only Christ, in the whole human race, is the fine flour; only His humanity is perfect, fine, balanced, and right in every way.

He as the grain of wheat passed through many processes, including being sown into the ground, buried to die, growing up, being beaten by the wind, frost, rain, and sun.

Then, He went through the process of being reaped, threshed, sifted, and grounded. He was a “man of sorrows” (Isa. 53:3), and His humanity was perfect, fine, and tender.

What beauty and excellence we see in Christ’s human living and daily walk!

There’s no comparison between His humanity and our natural, fallen humanity.

How can we have such a humanity? How can such humanity be lived out in us?

It is only by our eating the humanity of Jesus in His word.

We need to exercise our spirit to touch the Spirit consolidated in God’s word so that we may eat the humanity of Jesus.

As we read and pray, pray and read, the word of God, we eat the human life and living of Jesus (Eph. 6:17-18; Jer. 15:16; Gal. 6:17).

As we pray-read the word of God, the human living of Jesus becomes our human living.

If you read the Gospels you will realize how high, how wonderful, and how fine the humanity of Jesus is.

Pilate said to Him, What is truth? And having said this, he again went out to the Jews and said to them, I find no fault in Him. John 18:38 And Pilate went outside again and said to them, Behold, I am bringing Him out to you that you may know that I find no fault in Him. John 19:4 He was despised and forsaken of men, / A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; / And like one from whom [men] hide their faces, / He was despised; and we did not esteem Him. Isa. 53:3In John 18:38 He was interrogated by Pilate the governor, who asked Him, What is truth? and then went out to the Jews and said, I find no fault in Him.

This is an unbelieving governor of the Roman Empire who, after having some interaction with the Lord, found no fault in Him.

Can our employer or workmates say about us, We find no fault in this one? Can the elders in our local church say, I find no fault in him?

We cannot say that about ourselves, but we can partake of the Lord in His word, eat the humanity of Jesus, and have Him live out of us the same kind of life as He did when He was on earth.

The more we read the Bible and eat the humanity of Jesus in the Word of God, the more we are constituted and filled with the humanity of Jesus, and He can live in us a fine and balanced life to express God.

We really need the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, our Lord. He is our Lord. In a personal and intimate way, we want to know Him, love Him, see Him, and appreciate His preciousness.

What we need is not more improvement or perfecting in our behavior or living.

We need more of the humanity of Jesus. We need to eat Him more to be constituted with Him more.

It is not by imitating Him nor by trying to be the way He was and do what He does but by eating Him in His word that we are infused with what He is and become His reproduction.

Lord Jesus, we love You. We come to You in Your word to eat the humanity of Jesus and be constituted with You. Grant us to have the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, our Lord. Thank You for passing through the process of incarnation, human living, crucifixion, and resurrection to become the life-giving Spirit embodied in the Word of God for us to eat and be constituted with the humanity of Jesus. Oh Lord, we love You! We open to You. We want to eat Your humanity in the word of God. We want to be filled with YOU, be constituted with You, and become the same as You, even to become Your reproduction on the earth. What a wonderful Person You are. Your humanity is so fine, even, tender, and gentle. You are so balanced, with no excess or deficiency. We admire and eat Your humanity so that You may live in us the same kind of life today in the church life!

The Humanity of Jesus is Mingled with the Holy Spirit to be a God-man for us to Enjoy

And when you present an offering of a meal offering baked in the oven, [it shall be] of fine flour, unleavened cakes mingled with oil or unleavened wafers anointed with oil. Lev. 2:4 Now the origin of Jesus Christ was in this way: His mother, Mary, after she had been engaged to Joseph, before they came together, was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit...But while he pondered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife, for that which has been begotten in her is of the Holy Spirit. Matt. 1:18, 20The meal offering was made of fine flour mingled with oil; the oil of the meal offering signifies the Spirit of God as the divine element of Christ (Lev. 2:1; Luke 1:35; 3:22; 4:18; Heb. 1:9).

Even before the Lord was born, He was filled with the Spirit, for His very essence was the Holy Spirit mingled with man.

When He went into the synagogue in Luke 4:18, He opened the scroll of Isaiah, and He read, The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me because He has anointed Me…

He was anointed with the Spirit to speak the gospel.

He was anointed and sent to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send away and release those who were oppressed. Hallelujah for Christ!

Heb. 1:9 says that God has anointed Him with the oil of exultant joy above His partners.

We are the partners of Christ. When we really enjoy Him as the meal offering, that oil is the oil of exulting and joy.

The ministry of the New Testament is not a ministry of unhappiness; it is a ministry of joy and happiness.

The fact that the fine flour was mingled with oil in the meal offering signifies that Christ’s humanity is mingled with the Holy Spirit, and His human nature is mingled with God’s divine nature (Lev. 2:4-5; Matt. 1:18, 20).

Through such a mingling, He became a God-man, possessing the divine nature and the human nature distinctly, without a third nature being produced.

This is the real meaning of mingling. Christ’s humanity was mingled with the Holy Spirit for Him to be a God-man, and as such One He is for our enjoyment and experience today.

There is no third element produced; rather, the divinity and humanity are combined together, mingled together.

They are distinct, but they are distinct in their combination without a third element being produced.

Matt. 1:18 says that the Lord Jesus, the Holy Thing being conceived in Mary, was of the Holy Spirit, out of the Holy Spirit.

Hallelujah for our wonderful Christ, who has both divinity and humanity, both the divine nature and the human nature!

As a man, Christ has an excellent humanity.

The excellency of Christ, who is our meal offering, is in both His divinity and His humanity. With respect to His divinity, Christ has the divine attributes, and these divine attributes are expressed through, with, and in His human virtues. For this reason He is ethical and moral in a higher standard than all human beings. What He is as God with the divine attributes is added to what He is as man with the human virtues. This is the excellence of Jesus Christ, an excellence which is the produce of the mingling of divinity and humanity. Life-study of Leviticus, pp. 113-114, by Witness LeeAs One born of the Holy Spirit, He has the divine element, which is the Spirit of God. His excellent humanity was mingled with the wonderful divinity to produce a God-man, and He was mingled with the Holy Spirit both in His essence and in His work.

Upon Him the oil was poured out; the Spirit of God was poured upon Christ (Matt. 3:16; John 1:32). If there was no mingling, how could the Lord live as a God-man?

In Him divinity and humanity were mingled together, that is, brought together, combined together, without producing a third nature but so that the components remain distinguishable in the combination.

Christ is both the complete God and the perfect man; He possesses both the divine nature and the human nature distinctly, without a third nature being produced.

What an excellent Christ we have!

Our meal offering is the excellency of Christ who is the mingling of God and man. We eat Him and thus we partake of His divine attributes being expressed through His human virtues.

When we look at His humanity and human living, His ethical and moral standards were higher than all human beings.

What He is as God with the divine attributes is added to what He is as man with the human virtues.

In Christ we see God and man, man and God, with the excellency of the divine nature being expressed through the wonderful and aromatic human virtues.

What a Christ we have! What a wonderful Christ we have as our meal offering for our enjoyment today!

Lord Jesus, we praise You for coming as God mingled with man to be our meal offering. Hallelujah, Christ’s humanity is mingled with God’s divine nature to make Him a God-man possessing the divine nature and the human nature distinctly! Wow, Lord, we praise You for being the mingling of God and man, the mingling of divinity with humanity, the mingling of the divine nature with the human nature! You are man mingled with God, the human essence mingled with the Holy Spirit! We come to You in Your word, Lord, and we want to eat You to partake of You! We want to eat, partake of, enjoy, and experience You as our meal offering. Live in us the same kind of life today as You lived when You were on the earth!

Christ is both the complete God and the perfect man, possessing the divine nature and the human nature distinctly, without a third nature being produced. This is revealed in the New Testament, and it is portrayed by the type in Leviticus 2…Although [the oil and fine flour] are mingled, the essence of each element remains distinct, and a third element is not produced. This is the correct understanding of mingling. 113-114, by Witness Lee

Dear brother, the Lord Jesus is the reality of the meal offering.

He is perfect in fineness, evenness, tenderness, and gentleness, and He’s fully balanced, with no excess or deficiency.

Furthermore, He is mingled with the Spirit, doing all things by the Spirit and in the Spirit. He is the mingling of God and man.

And we can eat Him as such a One so that we become the same as He is by having Him reproduced in us.

Amen, Lord, we want to eat You as the meal offering today so that we may live because of You and express You.

Our Christ is unique & excellent in all the Earth.

The beauty & excellence of His humanly-divine living and daily walk are incomparable.

He is the complete God and the perfect man.

What a Christ have we!

This is the person that God longs to duplicate in His people and the manifestation of this person’s divine attributes as our human virtues is the true church life.

O! What a life!

For our Christian life and church life we need to enjoy Christ as the reality of the meal offering.

While we may appear gentle, we are actually rough, but in Him there is no roughness.

He is the reality of the meal offering – having a humanity (fine oil) which is fine, tender and balanced and full of the Holy Spirit (oil).

What a mingling of God with man!

O Lord we need You as such a one for our daily Christian walk for the genuine church life!

The meal offering typifies Christ in His God-man living.

Christ’s humanity is not only fine, perfect, tender, balanced, and right in every way, with no excess and no deficiency but also that His humanity is oiled with the Spirit of God.

Christ’s humanity is mingled with the Holy Spirit and His human nature is mingled with God’s divine nature, making Him a God-man, possessing the divine nature and the human nature distinctly, without a third nature being produced.

Rather we see the beauty and excellence of Christ’s human living and daily walk as recorded in the the gospels. His living was not merely that of a perfect human being but of God in, with and through man.

And the standard of morality is very high because it is not merely according to human standard.

Oh Lord thank You that we can take You in as our food, our meal offering. As we enjoy You, you are enlarged in us, through us, and with us to be the meal offering christian life and church life! Oh we eat You and so we live because You, and even become You.

Oh Lord Jesus…
