Enjoying the Triune God as the Law of the Spirit of Life and Living in Resurrection

For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace. Rom. 8:6. Article on, Enjoying the Triune God as the Law of the Spirit of Life and Living in Resurrection

We stay on the way of life by enjoying the Triune God as the law of the Spirit of life with its divine capacity and by living in resurrection, in the reality of the church as the Body of Christ, signified by the golden lampstand as the tree of resurrection life.

Amen, we as believers in Christ, those who were regenerated by God with His life and nature to be on the line of life, need to walk on the way of life and remain on the way of life in our daily life.

We need to remain in the maintenance of life by enjoying Christ as the tree of life for God’s building in life by our growth in the divine life.

What does it mean for us to stay on the way of life?

There are many ways for us to remain on the way of life in our Christian life and church life.

First, we need to live and serve according to the principle of life, not according to the principle of right and wrong.

When we fellowship with the saints and even in the small decisions in our daily life, we should not ask ourselves what’s the right thing to do but rather check with the Lord within, living according to the inner sense of life.

We stay on the way of life by loving the Lord to the uttermost, drawing others to also love Him and run after Him.

The more we love the Lord, the more others also run after Him. Loving the Lord is something very attractive and contagious (in a positive sense).

We need to give ourselves to just love the Lord, forgetting about anything else and just focusing on contacting Him, loving Him, and opening to Him.

Every day we need to tell the Lord, Lord Jesus, I love You! Cause me to love You more. I give myself to You.

If we daily turn our heart to Him and love Him, having a burning love toward the Lord Jesus, we will enjoy all that He is, and both we and those who are with us will run after Him.

The result is that we betroth others to the Lord, for we bring them into a loving relationship with this wonderful One.

We stay on the line of life by eating Jesus daily; we eat Him by pray-reading the Word, musing on the Word of God, and also by ministering the Word as the Spirit into others.

First, we ourselves need to eat the Lord in His word; when we come to the Word of God, we need to turn our heart to the Lord and exercise our spirit to contact Him.

Then, we need to read and pray the Word of God, opening to Him and conversing with Him with His word; we need to muse on God’s word and take in the Word by means of all prayer and petition.

Also, we need to speak the word of God to others, even speak in season and out of season, ministering the word of God to others through the exercise of our spirit of faith. Amen!

Stay on the Way of Life by Enjoying the Triune God as the Law of the Spirit of Life

But I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind and making me a captive to the law of sin which is in my members. Rom. 7:23 For the law of the Spirit of life has freed me in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and of death. Rom. 8:2As believers in Christ, we have the divine life and the divine nature in us, and the divine life has a certain capacity, ability, and law according to which it operates.

We stay on the way of life by enjoying the Triune God as the law of the Spirit of life with its divine capacity (Rom. 8:2).

Hallelujah, God gave us a new heart and a new spirit, and He is writing His laws on our heart, inscribing Himself as the law of life into us (Jer. 32:39)!

As believers in Christ, we are a miniature garden of Eden, and we are put in front of the two trees day by day.

The mind of our soul represents ourselves, sin in our flesh represents Satan as the tree of knowledge, and the Spirit in our spirit represents God as the tree of life.

In Rom. 8 we see the outcrop of the two trees: the tree of knowledge is the sin in our flesh, while the tree of life is Christ in our spirit; we are in the middle, choosing either to set our mind on the spirit or on the flesh.

If we set our mind on our mingled spirit and walk according to the spirit, we stay on the way of life and partake of Christ as the tree of life; the result is that we have life and peace.

But if our mind is set on the flesh, we eat the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and the result is death.

Even more, if we set our mind on our spirit, we switch on the law of the Spirit of life, and this law functions in us to deliver us from the law of sin and of death.

Rom. 7 shows us that, in ourselves, we can’t overcome the law of sin and of death in our members, for the more we try, the more we’re defeated by this stronger law.

But praise the Lord, there’s now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, for the law of the Spirit of life has freed us in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and of death! Amen!

The “me” which is freed by the law of the Spirit of life is the “switching me”, the me that sets his mind on the spirit and walks according to the Spirit!

The Triune God has come into us and He has been installed in our being as the law of the Spirit of life; now we can simply switch Him on by turning to our spirit, walking according to the spirit, setting our mind on our spirit, killing the practices of the body, being led by Him, crying one with the indwelling Spirit, by witnessing, and by groaning from deep within.

We have been regenerated by God, His divine life is in us, and the Spirit dwells in our spirit; we have been mingled with God, and the law of the Spirit of life has been installed in us.

That the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the spirit. Rom. 8:4 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace. Rom. 8:6 But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the spirit is life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you. Rom. 8:10-11We simply need to switch it on by calling on the name of the Lord.

Whenever we call, Oh Lord Jesus! Lord Jesus, I love You! we switch on the law of life, and we’re delivered from the law of sin and of death! Hallelujah!

If we do not switch on the law of the Spirit of life, we are by default under the operation of the law of sin and of death, which is the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

But when we switch on the law of life, we spontaneously live on the way of life, the line of life, and the maintenance of life, and the result is life and peace.

May we all realize that the highest law of life in the universe has been installed in us, and this law is operating in us right now.

May we simply switch on the law of the Spirit of life by setting our mind on our spirit and by allowing Him to lead us in spirit.

When we turn to the Lord, when we set our mind on our spirit and walk according to the spirit, we spontaneously are on the line of life, we switch on the law of life, and we enjoy life and peace.

The solution to dealing with the law of sin and of death is not to try to be stronger or try to overcome it; it is simply activating the law of the Spirit of life by turning to our spirit again and again.

In this way, we stay on the way of life and we live by life and peace.

Lord Jesus, we turn to You right now; we reject anything of the tree of knowledge and choose You as the tree of life! Amen, Lord, we switch on the law of the Spirit of life by turning to our spirit and walking in spirit! We want to walk according to our spirit today. We set our mind not on our flesh but on our mingled spirit to enjoy and receive life and peace. We put to death the practices of the body by walking according to the spirit, and we allow You to lead us. Amen, Lord, thank You for coming into us as the Triune God who was installed in us as the law of the Spirit of life! Hallelujah! Dispense Yourself more into us today. We open our whole being to You, dear Lord Jesus! Operate in us as the law of the Spirit of life to minister life to all the parts of our inner being!

Stay on the Line of Life by Living in Resurrection, in the Reality of the church as the Body of Christ

And He subjected all things under His feet and gave Him [to be] Head over all things to the church, Which is His Body, the fullness of the One who fills all in all. Eph. 1:22-23 Saying, What you see write in a scroll and send [it] to the seven churches: to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamos and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea. And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me; and when I turned, I saw seven golden lampstands. Rev. 1:11-12One of the greatest types of the church in the Bible, seen both in the Old and the New Testament, is the golden lampstand.

In Exo. 25 we see how the golden lampstand was made, and what was its shape and details.

According to the pattern given to Moses by God, the lampstand was to give light, but the light was just at the top, at the very end of the seven arms; the arms themselves were like branches of a tree.

The calyx under each pair of branches indicates the growth in life, and the fact that the golden lampstand had many almond blossoms signifies resurrection life.

The lampstand shows the branching out of life which takes place under the shining of light. Life grows out light, and life blossoms with light.

This is a type of our Christian experience.

We stay on the line of life by living in resurrection, in the reality of the church as the Body of Christ, signified by the golden lampstand (Eph. 1:22-23; Exo. 25:31-40; Rev. 1:11-12; 21:10-11).

The golden lampstand, based on the shape and details sen in Exo. 25, is a tree of resurrection life; this lampstand is a type of the church as the Body of Christ.

In the church as the Body of Christ, we need to live in resurrection, for we are part of this tree in resurrection! Amen!

The more we remain under the Lord’s shining in His word and in the meetings, the more the divine life in us grows.

The more we walk by the resurrection life, the more we bear the fruit of light, for the Lord shines not only in us but also through us to others.

God Himself is resurrection life. He is not only life – He is resurrection life.

Death can damage and injure the plant life, the animal life, and the human life, but resurrection life cannot be touched by death.

Resurrection is the life that overcomes death and comes out of death without being damaged or injured by death.

This is God Himself in Christ; when Christ came, though He was a man, He was resurrection life itself, and death could not hold Him but rather, He resurrected in victory over death!

The golden lampstand is first a type of the Triune God: the Father with His nature is seen in the element of gold, the Son as the embodiment of God is seen in the shape of the lampstand, and the Spirit being sevenfold intensified is seen in the seven lamps.

Secondly, the lampstand is a type of the church, and in particular, the first significance of the lampstand is not light but life.

Praise the Lord that we [who believe in Christ] are parts of this tree in resurrection and with the divine nature, life, the Spirit, and the shining light! This living tree is growing, branching, budding, and blossoming...The blossoming is the shining of the light. Thus, the light is the life blossoming. Actually the light is the life. John 1:1 and 4 say, “In the beginning was the Word ...and the Word was God ...In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” This is the shining of Christ, the embodiment of the Triune God, as the light of life. Life-study of Exodus, pp. 1083-1084, by Witness LeeIf you look at the golden lampstand, you see a golden tree that bears the fruit of light out of life.

When we grow in life and blossom, the light shines; our blossoming is our shining. Hallelujah!

Christ is the living tree that grows, branches out, buds, and blossoms; the blossoming is the shining of the divine light.

The light is the life blossoming. Wonderful!

When Christ came, He was the Word who became flesh, and in Him was life, and the life was the light of men (John 1:1, 4).

Now we become the same as He is; as we activate the law of the Spirit of life, God is infusing us with Himself to make us the same as Christ.

As we grow in the divine life, we blossom out with light, and the Lord has a way to shine through us.

It is amazing to see that the golden lampstand signifies the Triune God branching out, growing, and including us in His corporate expression in humanity, and He is shining in us and through us as we grow in life.

The unique way for us to be overcomers is by eating and enjoying Christ as the tree of life so that we can be transformed in life to become the man-child for the display of Christ’s victory and for us to become the bride for Christ’s satisfaction (Rev. 2:7, 17; 3:20-21; 12:5-12; 19:7-9; 22:2, 14).

May we be those who overcome today by eating Jesus as the tree of life so that we can be transformed in life and become the man-child to display Christ’s victory and His bride for His satisfaction!

Lord Jesus, we want to stay on the way of life by living in resurrection, in the reality of the church as the Body of Christ! Hallelujah, the Triune God branched out and reached us to incorporate us in Himself and make us part of the golden lampstand, His corporate expression! Praise the Lord, today we are part of the tree of resurrection life, and we can walk in resurrection to overcome any death and bear the glory of God for His expression! Amen, Lord, we give ourselves to You today to eat You as the tree of life so that we may be inwardly transformed in life to become the man-child for the display of Christ’s victory! We want to eat You as the tree of life to become the overcomers who compose the bride of Christ for His satisfaction!

Every genuine Christian is a miniature garden of Eden. The mind of your soul represents your self sin in your flesh represents Satan [as the tree of knowledge], and the Spirit in your spirit represents God [as the tree of life]. We have the regeneration, and we have the indwelling. We also have the mingling. All these are matters of the installation …The installation has been done, and the operation is in progress. They are all here waiting for you to switch on by walking according to the spirit, by setting the mind on the spirit, by killing the practices of the body by being led by Him, by crying, by witnessing, by groaning. Hallelujah, the law of the Spirit of life as the tree of life, one the one has been installed, and the other hand planted into our being.

Because this law has been installed, all we need need to do is to switch on.

The requirements that we must fulfill in order that the law of the Spirit of life (which has already been installed in us) may work are:
(1) to walk according to the spirit;
2) to mind the things of the Spirit — to set the mind on the spirit;
3) to put to death by the Spirit the practices of the body;
4) to be led by the Spirit as sons of God;
5) to cry to the Father in the spirit of sonship;
6) to witness that we are the children of God; and
(7) to groan for the full sonship, the redemption of our body.
Also as the tree of life has been planted into our being, this tree has to be growing, branching, budding, and blossoming to shine the light for His full expression.
May we be those who are switching on to experience the operation of the law of the Spirit. And may we allow Christ as the resurrection life to grow, branch bud, and blossom to shine the divine light for the expression of the Triune God.
