Exalt Christ as Lord and take Him as our Head by being Willing to be Headed up in Christ

And He is the Head of the Body, the church; He is the beginning, the Firstborn from the dead, that He Himself might have the first place in all things. Col. 1:18

As believers in Christ, we need to take, experience, and enjoy Christ as our Head, being willing to be headed up in Christ in the church life by growing in life and by living under Christ’s light, and we need to hold Christ as the Head by staying intimately connected to Him. Amen!

Christ is our King, our Lord, our Head, and our Husband; we need to take Him as our King by having a clear sky between us and Him and a throne above it, and we need to take Him as our Lord by living to Him. Living to the Lord is different from living for the Lord.

A wife can live for a husband by doing everything that she thinks she should do to please him and make him happy; however, she may do this without knowing the husband’s desire and preference, so he may not be happy.

We may live for the Lord and therefore do many things for Him, thinking that we do this and that to please Him, but we may not consult Him or seek to know His heart’s desire.

May we come to the Lord in His word day by day and allow Him to infuse us with His heart’s desire.

May we allow the Lord to work Himself into us and dispense all that He is and He prefers into our being.

May our heart be soft and clear like a tablet on which the Lord can write Himself with the divine and mystical ink of the Spirit of the living God so that we may be a letter of Christ.

When people see us, they need to see Christ, for we are letters of Christ; when they meet us, they should meet Christ, for Christ should be conveyed through us to them.

We will eventually and consummately become a great letter of Christ, the New Jerusalem, and the whole universe can look at the New Jerusalem and read and know Christ.

The New Jerusalem is the Triune God united, mingled, and incorporated with His chosen, redeemed, sanctified, transformed, and glorified people.

For us to be such ones, we need to live to the Lord today; we need to allow the love of Christ to constrain us and keep us on the narrow path of living to the Lord.

Our living is not merely for the Lord but to Him who died and has been raised to be the Lord who dwells in us.

The One who dwells in us is not merely the God who created all things; He is the One who created all things and who went through a process of incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection, to become the Lord Spirit dwelling in our spirit and moving in our being.

Hallelujah, Christ lives in us, and we seek to please Him not by doing a work but by living to Him in all the aspects of our daily life.

Whether we live, we live to the Lord, and whether we die, we die to the Lord, for we are the Lord’s! Amen!

We are the Lord’s, so we Exalt Him as Lord, we give Him the First Place, and we Preach Jesus as Lord!

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price. So then glorify God in your body. 1 Cor. 6:19-20 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Cor. 15:58We believers in Christ have been bought with the price of the precious blood of Christ, so we are the Lord’s (Rom. 14:8).

We are not our own – we are the Lord’s, and we should continually exalt Him as Lord, giving Him the first place in all things in our life and work.

Christ Jesus is our Lord, and we have been bought with a price; we need to exalt Him and give Him the preeminence in all things.

Even in our work for the Lord and in our labor in the Lord, we should give Him the first place, and do the work of the ministry to build up the organic Body of Christ (1 Cor. 6:19-20; 15:58; 16:10; Eph. 4:11-12).

The principle of our service to the Lord is resurrection, that is, our passing through death to serve and live in resurrection.

We see this principle with Aaron’s budding rod; twelve lifeless and dead rods were put before the ark, and one of them was chosen for the ministry in resurrection, the one who budded and bore almonds.

All our living and serving need to be in resurrection.

The Lord is the resurrection and the life (John 11:25), and He passed through death and entered into resurrection, bringing His humanity into resurrection with Himself; now He is the Lord not only in His divinity as in eternity past but also in His humanity.

We can declare that Jesus Christ is Lord – the man Jesus is Lord of all! Resurrection is the realm of impossibility for human beings but a possibility with God!

What is impossible with man is possible with God. It is impossible for us to be a Christian and to be an overcomer, for only the life-giving Spirit can be an overcomer and can live the Christian life.

Therefore, we need to contact the Overcomer in our spirit, for He is the Lord Spirit in our spirit, the life-giving Spirit in our spirit; when we contact Him, we can live the Christian life and we can be an overcomer.

For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves for Jesus' sake. 2 Cor. 4:5 It shall not be so among you; but whoever wants to become great among you shall be your servant, And whoever wants to be first among you shall be your slave. Matt. 20:26-27In ourselves, we cannot take Him as our Lord, for we are rebellious, but when we contact the Lord, we spontaneously enthrone Him in our being and we give Him the first place in all things.

Jesus Christ is Lord, and we do not preach ourselves but Him as Lord, and ourselves as the slaves of the saints for Jesus’ sake (2 Cor. 4:5).

Among the believers, besides Christ, there should be no other lord but rather, all saints should be servants of the Lord, even slaves (1 Pet. 5:3; Matt. 20:26-27; 23:10-11).

Only Jesus Christ is Lord, and none of us is the Lord; we cannot and should not lord it over the saints, that is, be the Lord to the saints.

We cannot and should not direct others what to do in the Body and how to function; we are not their Lord, we cannot tell them where to go and what to do.

Paul had the ground among his co-workers Timothy and Titus to tell one to stay somewhere to teach the saints and then come to him, but we do not have the maturity in life to direct others.

We simply need to preach Christ Jesus as Lord, bring others to Him, and direct the saints to contact the Lord in their spirit.

Besides the Lord Jesus Christ, there should be no other Lord; rather, all of us need to consider ourselves as servants of the Lord and slaves of the saints, for even as the Lord came to serve us, so we need to serve others with Him as our life and person.

Lord Jesus, thank You for dying for us and paying the highest price to purchase us; we are no longer our own – we are the Lord’s! Amen, Lord, we exalt You as Lord and we give You the first place in our life and in our work. Jesus Christ is Lord! We give ourselves to labor in the Lord for the work of the Lord, doing the work of the ministry to build up the organic Body of Christ. Amen, Lord, we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord! We are not the Lord – we are slaves of the saints, servants of the Lord, for Jesus’ sake! We enthrone You, dear Lord, and we give You the first place in all things by faith!

We must Take, Experience, and Enjoy Christ as our Head by being Willing to be Headed up, Growing in Life, and Staying Intimately Connected to Him

Unto the economy of the fullness of the times, to head up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens and the things on the earth, in Him. Eph. 1:10

We need to take, experience, and enjoy Christ as our Head; He is the Head of the Body, the church, and we are members of His Body.

The entire universe is a heap of collapse, being in rebellion against God and fallen in nature, due to the fall of man instigated by the rebellion of Satan.

God’s eternal intention is to head up all things in Christ; He appointed Christ as the universal Head, and He is rescuing man from the heap of collapse.

The heap of universal collapse in death and darkness was caused by the rebellion of the angels and the rebellion of man; we as believers in Christ participate in Christ’s heading up by being willing to be headed up in the church life today (Eph. 1:10).

We need to be willing to be headed up in the church life, and we need to grow in life and live under Christ’s light; this will cause us to be headed up in Christ (John 1:4; Rev. 21:23-25; Eph. 5:8-9).

And....holding the Head, out from whom all the Body, being richly supplied and knit together by means of the joints and sinews, grows with the growth of God. Col. 2:19 But holding to truth in love, we may grow up into Him in all things, who is the Head, Christ, Out from whom all the Body, being joined together and being knit together through every joint of the rich supply and [through] the operation in the measure of each one part, causes the growth of the Body unto the building up of itself in love. Eph. 4:15-16God is working to bring every item in the universal collapse back to the headship of Christ, and we as believers in Christ need to take the lead to be headed up in Christ.

As His chosen ones, His sons, we need to be brought out of the collapse and be placed under the headship of Christ.

The church life is a life of being headed up; it is not the world leaders, the unbelievers, or the animals that are headed up first, but we, the believers in Christ who live in the church life.

The Body of Christ is headed up in Christ first, and then the Body will take the lead to head up all things in Christ.

However, if we’re not willing to be headed up in the church life, we will delay the heading up of all things.

If today we are not willing to cooperate with God’s heading up of all things in Christ, we will delay this process of being headed up.

The heading up in Christ is a matter in life; we are being headed up in Christ by growing in life.

The more we grow in life, the more we give ground to the Lord to expand and increase in our being, the more we are headed up in Christ.

The more divine life we have, the more the divine life spreads in our being, the more we are headed up in Christ, and the more we will be rescued from the heap of collapse.

May we be willing to grow in life every day so that we may be headed up in Christ, and may remain under Christ’s light so that anything of darkness will be eliminated and all things in our personal universe would be under Christ as the Head.

We need to hold Christ as the Head by taking Him as our unique authority and by staying intimately connected to Him so that His riches and life supply would be dispensed into our being to cause us to grow with the growth of God.

The more we hold Christ as the Head, the more His element is dispensed into us to cause us to grow in life, growing up into Him in all things and functioning out from Him (Col. 2:19; Eph. 4:15-16).

Christ is the Head, and we are the members. Colossians 2:19 reminds us that we must hold the Head, “out from whom all the Body, being richly supplied and knit together by means of the joints and sinews, grows with the growth of God.” To hold the Head means that there is direct communication between us and Him. There is no separation between Him and all the members. The members correspond to whatever the Head ministers. The result of this correspondence is the growth in life. By holding the Head, there is an inward growth, not an outward move. In this close communication between the Head and the members, all His riches are ministered into the members, and all the negative things are swallowed up by the supply of life from the Head. The Heavenly Ministry of Christ, Chapter 5, by Witness LeeAs we hold Christ as the Head, we are headed up in Christ, and we grow u into Him in all things and function out from Him so that all the Body causes the growth of the Body unto the building up of itself in love.

All the members of the Body need to hold the head, Christ, so that they may be richly supplied and knit together and grow with the growth of God.

This holding and growing is our being headed up in Christ.

May there be no insulation or separation between us and the Lord; may we remain intimately connected to Him so that we may receive more of His element and grow in life, grow up into Him in all things, and be headed up in Christ.

When we as believers in Christ and members of the Body hold Christ as the Head, there will be an inward growth in life.

The result is that, in this close communication between Christ the Head and His members, all His riches are ministered into the members and all the negative things are swallowed up by the supply of life from the Head.

We who were darkness itself now become light in the Lord, and we walk as children of light.

Lord Jesus, we want to take, experience, and enjoy Christ as our Head by being willing to be headed up in all things in Him in the church life today. Amen, Lord, rescue us from the heap of universal collapse in death and darkness. May we grow in life every day by holding Christ the Head so that we may receive His dispensing and grow up into Christ in all things. Amen, Lord, keep us intimately connected to You so that all Your riches and Your life supply would be dispensed into our being to cause us to grow with the growth of God. May there be much growth in life so that we would be headed up in Christ in all things. Amen, Lord, may all the members of Your Body grow up into You in all things and function out of You so that all the Body would cause the growth of the Body unto the building up of itself in love!
