Exercising our Spirit to Experience and Enjoy Christ as the Sevenfold Intensified Spirit

...Thus says Jehovah of hosts, Return to Me, declares Jehovah of hosts, and I will return to you, says Jehovah of hosts. Zech. 1:3. Amen! Exercising our Spirit to Experience and Enjoy Christ as the Sevenfold Intensified Spirit

The way for us to fulfil God’s move in man’s history for the carrying out of God’s eternal economy is by exercising our spirit to experience and enjoy Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit. Amen!

The book of Zechariah is truly amazing, for it presents both in pictures and in prophecies how God’s move is in man’s history for Him to carry out His divine economy.

In this book, we see the crucial point and major content of God’s move in man’s history are the two comings of Christ.

First, we see the coming of Christ for the first time as a Man.

The Lord’s first coming was lowly, humble, and intimate.

He came in a righteous way with salvation for God’s people as a King, but He was a lowly King, riding not on a majestic horse but upon a donkey, even on the foal of a donkey.

He was detested, attacked, rejected, and betrayed by one of His disciples, and He was put to death by His own relatives, yet He considered that this was out of love.

He was wounded in the house of those who loved Him. And His side was pierced, and He became an opened fountain for sin and for impurity.

All this is in His first coming. In His second coming, Christ will come victoriously, with power and authority.

He will stand on the Mount of Olives, and He will fight for His people and against the nations that besiege them, and He will save them from destruction.

And the whole house of Israel will be saved, for they will look upon Him whom they have pierced, and they will mourn for Him.

After that, Christ will be the King to rule over the nations. Hallelujah!

Christ as the all-inclusive One is the history of God’s move in man’s history in order to gain the church as the building of God for God’s manifestation.

He sovereignly controls the whole world situation in human history, and at the same time, He is working Himself into us in the divine history to make us His masterpiece.

He stands with His people in the situation of their humiliation, and He cares for them and saves them from any captivity.

Soon, Christ will return as the last Crafstman used by God to destroy human government and bring in the kingdom of God on the earth.

He will come as a stone cut out without hands and will strike the great human image and will destroy it.

And He will not come alone: the overcomers will come together with Him as a corporate smiting stone, and the human government will be destroyed!

Then Christ and the overcomers, Christ and the overcoming bride, will bring in the kingdom of God on the whole earth! Hallelujah!

We today as the church are not only the bride of Christ but also the corporate warrior, taking the word of God by means of all prayer and petition to be nourished with the Word and have the enemy slain down in us. Hallelujah!

We aspire to be the Lord’s overcomers, those who are beautified by the word of God to be the bride of Christ and who have the word as the sword of the Spirit to slay the enemy.

We Fulfill God’s Move in Man’s History by Exercising our Spirit to Experience and Enjoy Christ as the Sevenfold Intensified Spirit

For here is the stone that I have set before Joshua - upon one stone are seven eyes. I will engrave its engraving, declares Jehovah of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day. Zech. 3:9 For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice when they see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel; they are the eyes of Jehovah running to and fro on the whole earth. Zech. 4:10 Zechariah shows us the way to fulfil God’s move in man’s history for the carrying out of His eternal economy.

It is simply by exercising our spirit to experience and enjoy Christ as the sevenfold intensified spirit (Rev. 1:10; 4:2; 17:3; 21:10; 4:5; 5:6; Zech. 3:9; 4:10).

We need to ask the Lord to have mercy on us to keep us in God’s divine history in man’s history so that we may fulfil God’s move in man’s history by exercising our spirit.

Our spirit is very important. Zech. 1:3 says, “Return to Me, declares Jehovah of hosts, and I will return to you, says Jehovah of hosts.”

We need to exercise our spirit to return to the Lord with all our heart (Jer. 24:7; Hosea 6:1-3; 14:1-5; Joel 2:13; Luke 15:17-24).

When we exercise our spirit to return to the Lord with all our heart, the Lord will also return to us.

Zech. 12:1 says, “The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. Thus declares Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens and lays the foundations of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him.”

The way for us to participate in the fulfilment of God’s move in man’s history is by exercising our spirit to experience and enjoy Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit.

In God’s view of things, the heavens are for the earth, the earth is for man, and man was created by God with a spirit so that man would contact God, receive God, worship God, and live God.

The only way we can fulfil God’s move in man’s history is by exercising our spirit to contact God, receive God, worship God, live God, fulfil God’s purpose for God, and be one with God.

We are so happy that God created us with a spirit, for it is in our spirit that all the things of God’s economy are real and can be applied.

He is very real to us in our mingled spirit, because He is the Spirit, and we can substantiate Him with our spirit.

God created man with a spirit, and we have a spirit to contact God and be one with God.

The central government and the most prominent part of our being as men, as believers in Christ, should be our mingled spirit.

When we are ruled and controlled by our spirit, we are spiritual men (1 Cor. 2:14-15; 3:1; 14:32; John 3:6; Eph. 3:16; 1 Pet. 3:4; Dan. 6:3, 10).

God reveals things to us in spirit, and everything that God is, has, and has done can be applied to us and enjoyed by us in our mingled spirit.

We can see things by means of our eyes, we can touch things with our hands, we can taste things with our mouths, we can hear things with our ears, and we can smell things with our noses.

We can substantiate everything of God and His economy by means of our spirit.

We need to exercise our spirit to enjoy and experience Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit.

The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. Thus declares Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens and lays the foundations of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him. Zech. 12:1 But a soulish man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him and he is not able to know [them] because they are discerned spiritually. But the spiritual man discerns all things, but he himself is discerned by no one. 1 Cor. 2:14-15The most prominent part of our being, the leading part of our being, should be our spirit.

We need to be ruled and controlled by our spirit.

Zechariah charges us to pay full attention to our human spirit so that we may receive the Christ revealed in this book and so that we may understand all that is revealed therein concerning Him (Gen. 2:7; John 4:24; Phil. 4:23).

In His economy, God planned to have Christ as the centrality and universality of His move on the earth.

How can we see this and how can we cooperate with God’s move in man’s history on earth? It is by exercising our spirit.

The very God who rules over the entire human race, who manages the world situation age after age for thousands of years, made a spirit in man for man to contact Him and receive all that He is and has done.

If we neglect our human spirit, nothing of God is real to us. If we do not exercise our spirit to enjoy and experience Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit, we cannot participate in or be part of God’s move in man’s history.

Only when we are in our spirit and we exercise our spirit to enjoy and experience Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit can we fulfil God’s move in man’s history.

Lord Jesus, we want to pay full attention to our human spirit so that we may receive and enjoy Christ as the all-inclusive One. Amen, Lord, may our spirit be the central government and most prominent part of our being. Yes, Lord, may we be ruled and controlled by our mingled spirit. Hallelujah, the heavens are for the earth, the earth is for man, and man has a spirit to contact God! Lord, we exercise our spirit right now to enjoy and experience Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit! We exercise our spirit to contact God, receive God, worship God, live God, fulfil God’s purpose for God, and be one with God! Amen, Lord, we want to fulfil God’s move in man’s history for the carrying of His eternal economy by exercising our spirit to experience and enjoy Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit!

We need to Enjoy Christ as the Sevenfold Intensified Spirit in many Aspects as seen in Zechariah

For I will be her wall of fire round about, declares Jehovah, and I will be the glory within her. Zech. 2:5

In order for us to see, realize, participate in, and cooperate with God to fulfil God’s move in man’s history, we need to exercise our spirit to enjoy and experience Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit.

In Zechariah, we see the need to enjoy Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit in many aspects.

First, in Zech. 2:1-2 we see Christ as man with a measuring line in His hand, measuring God’s people in order to test, judge, examine, and possess them for His kingdom (Zech. 2:1-2; Ezek. 40:3; 47:1-5; Psa. 139:23-24).

When someone wants to make a dress or a suit, they need to get some piece of cloth for that, and measuring is required.

There’s the need to examine the material, measure it, cut it, and pay the price to have it.

For thus says Jehovah of hosts, After the glory He has sent Me against the nations who plunder you; for he who touches you touches the pupil of His eye. Zech. 2:8 Ask rain of Jehovah / At the time of spring rain, / [Of] Jehovah who makes the lightning, / And He will give them showers of rain, / To everyone herbage in the field. Zech. 10:1Similarly, we need to allow the Lord to test us, judge us, examine us, and possess us for His kingdom.

The more the Lord measures us, the more He possesses us.

We need to enjoy Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit in His being the man who measures us, judges us, and examines us to possess us for His kingdom.

The more we allow Him to judge us and measure us, the deeper the flow of life will be in us.

In Zech. 2:5 the Lord says, “I will be her wall of fire round about, declares Jehovah, and I will be the glory within her.”

The fact that the wall of the city of Jerusalem and the glory within her will be Jehovah Himself indicates that Jehovah as Christ will be the protection of Jerusalem at her circumference and her glory at her centre.

This shows us the centrality and universality of Christ in God’s economy.

Today Christ is the glory in the centre of the church, and He is also the fire burning around the circumference of the church for her protection. Hallelujah!

In the New Jerusalem, the Triune God in Christ will be the glory at its centre (Rev. 21:23; 22:1, 5), and this glory will shine through the transparent wall of the city to be its protection of fire (21:11, 18a, 24).

Christ is the One sent by Jehovah of hosts and also the Sender, Jehovah of hosts, for the care of His people (Zech. 2:8-9, 11).

Whoever touches the people of God, touches the pupil of His eye (John 14:26; 15:26). Hallelujah! We are the pupil of His eye, and He treasures us.

If anyone touches us, He will defend us and protect us, for He loves us as the pupil of His eye.

Christ came as a Shepherd, shepherding the flock with two staffs – one is called Favor (grace), and the other is called Bonds (binding) – see Zech. 11:7; 2:1-2, 5, 8-9, 11.

Grace is for our being mingled with God, and binding is for our being bound into oneness (John 21:15-17).

While the Lord is so favourable to us, we should ask Him to send us even more flavour, more grace, more “rain” (see Zech. 10:1; 12:10; Ezek. 34:26).

He tells us we should do this: while He supplies the rain, we need to ask for more blessing, more rain.

After being visited by the Lord as the Shepherd, every weak sheep among God’s people becomes a horse of majesty (Zech. 10:3; cf. 9:13, 16; Dan. 11:32b).

He visits us, shepherds us, and cares for us in love; the result is that, though we may be weak sheep, we become a horse of majesty.

Often in our time of having morning revival with the Lord, in our private and affectionate time with Him, the Lord whistles to us, calling us and gathering us to Him.

With God's move, as the divine history, in man's history, there is the new creation—the new man with a new heart, a new spirit, a new life, a new nature, a new history, and a new consummation; we praise the Lord that we are in the divine history, experiencing and enjoying the mysterious, divine things for our organic salvation, so that we may make ourselves ready to become His overcoming bride to bring Him back — Hymns, #16; Rom. 5:10, 17-18, 21; 6:4; Ezek. 36:26; 2 Cor. 3:16-18; Matt. 5:8; Titus 3:5; Eph. 5:26-27; 6:17-18; Rev. 19:7; Matt. 24:44; 25:10. Crystallization-study of 1 and 2 Chronicles, outline 1The Lord’s whistling is not shrill but mild and gentle, somewhat like the singing of a bird (Zech. 10:8).

The Lord whistles to us, calling us by name, and He causes us to feel comfortable.

This is one aspect of our exercising our spirit to enjoy and experience Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit.

The Lord strengthens us in Himself so that we may walk about in His name (v. 12; Col. 3:17). Hallelujah!

With God’s move, there’s the new creation – the new man with a new heart, a new spirit, a new life, a new nature, a new history, and a new consummation. Hallelujah!

We praise the Lord that we’re in the divine history, experiencing and enjoying the mysterious, divine things for our organic salvation, so that we may make ourselves ready to become His overcoming bride to bring Him back (Rom. 5:10, 17-18, 21; 6:4; Ezek. 36:26; 2 Cor. 3:16-18; Matt. 5:8; Titus 3:5; Eph. 5:26-27; 6:17-18; Rev. 19:7; Matt. 24:44; 25:10).

Thank the Lord that we are in the divine history within the human history.

We want to cooperate with His move in man by exercising our spirit to enjoy and experience Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit and therefore be renewed and saved organically to become His overcoming bride to bring Him back!

Lord Jesus, we exercise our spirit to enjoy and experience Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit. We come to You, dear Lord, to be measured by You so that You may judge, examine, and remove anything that doesn’t match You so that You may possess us for Your kingdom. Thank You, Lord, for Your shepherding and tender care. Grant us to have more grace, more favour, more blessing. Give us more of Yourself. We love to be with You, remaining in Your presence. Strengthen us in Yourself, Lord, that we may walk about in Your name. Hallelujah, we are a new creation, a new man! We have a new heart, a new spirit, a new life, a new nature, a new history, and a new consummation! Praise You, Lord, that we are in the divine history, experiencing and enjoying the divine and mysterious things for our organic salvation! Amen, Lord, prepare us and make us ready to become Your overcoming bride to bring You back!

Zechariah 10:8-12 reveals further aspects of the Lord’s loving visitation to Israel…The Lord’s whistling [in verse 8] is not shrill but mild and gentle, somewhat like the singing of a bird. Often during our time of morning revival, the Lord whistles to us, calling us and gathering us to Him. “I will strengthen them in Jehovah, / And they will walk about in His name, / Declares Jehovah” [v. 12]. The I here is Jehovah, indicating that Jehovah will strengthen His people in Himself. They will then walk about in His name. To be in someone’s name is to be one with the person who is the reality of that name. To be in God’s name is to be one with God in our daily walk, living, walking, and having our being in God’s name. Often after we enjoy such a loving visitation, our situation changes. In His visitation He encourages us to seek more blessings…We are not that bold or strong, but after the Lord’s visitation with His dear touch, we are strengthened to become horses of majesty in battle. Eventually, the Lord strengthens us in Himself so that we may walk about in His name. Life-study of Zechariah, pp. 57-60, by Witness Lee

In His creation God made three crucial, equally important items — the heavens, the earth, and the spirit of man. The heavens are for the earth, the earth is for man, and man was created by God with a spirit that he may contact God, receive God, worship God, live God, fulfill God’s purpose for God, and be one with God. In His economy God planned to have Christ as the centrality and universality of His move on earth. For His chosen people, who would care for Him as the Creator and as the Redeemer, there was the need for Him to create a receiving organ so that they would have the capacity to receive all that God had planned for Christ to be. Hence, this book charges us to pay full attention to our human spirit, that we may receive the Christ revealed in this book and may understand all that is revealed therein concerning Him (Eph. 1:17-18a; Eph. 3:5). Zech. 12:1, footnote 2 on, “spirit”, Recovery Version Bible
