The Father Blesses us and Keeps us, and Christ Shines on us and is Gracious to us

Jehovah bless you and keep you; Jehovah make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; Jehovah lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace. Num. 6:24-26

Hallelujah, the Father blesses us and keeps us, Christ the Son shines on us and is gracious to us, and the Spirit lifts up His countenance upon us and gives us peace!

In Num. 6:22-27 we see the eternal blessing of the Triune God, with the Father keeping us in His name, in the dispensing of the Triune God, and keeping us from the evil one, the Son causing His face to shine upon us and be gracious to us, and the Spirit lifting up His countenance upon us and giving us peace.

Hallelujah, the Triune God is blessing us with Himself and He wants us to bless His people with all that the Triune God is, has, and has accomplished in His economy!

And His blessing is not “a giant package” that we receive once and for all; rather, His blessing comes daily to us as His divine dispensing.

Everything that God is, has, and has accomplished in His economy is being dispensed into us little by little and day by day.

We simply need to learn to live in the divine dispensing every day. We may even ask the Lord,

Lord Jesus, we are so short; keep us in Your divine dispensing today. Grant us to live more under the divine dispensing. We want to receive all that You are and all that You have into our being.

This is God’s eternal economy: to dispense what He is into us for us to be built up together and become His Body, be prepared as His bride, and consummate as the New Jerusalem.

God desires to impart, dispense, and infuse all that He is into His chosen and redeemed people so that He would be their life and their everything.

The issue of such a dispensing of the Triune God is that these people are regenerated, renewed, transformed, and built up to be the Body of Christ, be prepared as the bride of Christ, and consummate the New Jerusalem.

This is the way that God accomplishes His eternal economy: through His divine dispensing.

Yes, God dispenses what He is into us to meet our need, but even more than this, He dispenses all that He is into our being to meet His need.

The more we enjoy the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity, the more we are constituted with what God is and are built up as the church, the organism of the Triune God, to carry out His eternal economy.

May we come to the Lord again and again and allow Him to infuse Himself into our being.

May we never graduate from opening our being to the Lord so that He may infuse what He is into us.

May we take Him as our unique blessing and remain under the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity into us for our enjoyment so that His eternal economy may be accomplished.

In this article and the next we come to the blessing in Num. 6:22-27, which is a pattern of blessing by the priests.

This blessing is neither an Old Testament blessing nor is it a New Testament blessing; rather, it is the eternal blessing of the Triune God.

The eternal blessing of the Triune God is Him dispensing Himself in His Divine Trinity into us for our enjoyment.

The Father blesses us, the Son blesses us, and the Spirit blesses us.

The Father Blesses us and Keeps us in His Name, in His Dispensing, and from the Evil One

Jehovah bless you and keep you. Num. 6:24 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ. Eph. 1:3Num. 6:24 says, Jehovah bless you and keep you; this can be ascribed to the Father, for the Father blesses us and keeps us.

For God to bless us means that He gives Himself to us, for the blessing of God is simply God Himself.

He gives Himself to us, and He dispenses Himself into us, in His Divine Trinity; He does this step by step and little by little.

On our side, we need to just receive the divine dispensing as our blessing. Our real blessing is the Divine Trinity being dispensed into our being.

The Father blesses us in every way and in every aspect in His love. Eph. 1:3 says that the Father has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ in the heavenlies.

This is not merely a figure of speech or a poetic way of saying that God likes us; this is exactly what God does: He blesses us with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

And His blessing is in His Divine Trinity: He is the God and Father, the spiritual blessings are Christ, and these blessings being spiritual points to the Spirit.

Every spiritual blessing is ours in Christ; when we are in our spirit, when we contact the Lord in the mingled spirit, we are blessed with every spiritual blessing.

The Father blesses us and keeps us.

And all these blessings are the Triune God Himself embodied in Christ and realized as the Spirit, the unique blessing of the gospel.

The more we open to Him and contact Him, the more we live one spirit with Him, the more we remain under the divine dispensing of all that God is and has into us, and we are under His blessing, receiving and enjoying all the spiritual blessings in Christ and as Christ.

God the Father blesses us and He keeps us in every way and in every aspect in His power (see John 17:11, 17).

The Lord prayed in John 17 that the Father would keep us in His name; this is to keep us in the dispensing Triune God.

We need to pray that the Father would keep us in His divine dispensing.

We cannot keep ourselves under His dispensing, but He can; we need to pray that the Father would keep us in His name and in His dispensing.

As the Triune God is dispensing Himself into us, He keeps us in His divine dispensing.

We all have to acknowledge that, in our experience, we have enjoyed something of the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity.

But many times we forget about it and we cannot keep ourselves under His divine dispensing.

And I am no longer in the world; yet they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, which You have given to Me, that they may be one even as We are. John 17:11 I do not ask that You would take them out of the world, but that You would keep them out of the hands of the evil one. John 17:15We may even treasure other things that God does for us, but not His divine dispensing.

All that God is, all that He has, and all that He has done, everything is in His divine dispensing, and He is continually dispensing Himself into us.

We just need to ask Him to keep us in His divine dispensing, to keep us in His name.

The Lord Jesus also prayed that we would be kept out of the hand of the enemy, to be kept from the evil one.

As we are kept in the dispensing Triune God, there’s nothing left for the hand of the enemy.

May we pray for the blessing of being kept absolutely in the dispensing Triune God and altogether outside of the evil one. What a blessing this is!

And all of this is for our enjoyment and experience in our daily life.

We should not merely agree with this and mentally understand this but make this our prayer both for ourselves and for the other saints.

We can bring the eternal blessing of the Triune God in Num. 6 to the Lord in prayer and ask Him,

Father, bless us and keep us! Bless us with every spiritual blessing in Christ in the heavenlies. Keep us from the evil one. Amen, Lord, keep us in our mingled spirit today so that we may enjoy all Your spiritual blessings! We love You, Lord, and we love to be under Your blessing. Thank You for blessing us in every way and in every aspect in your love. Thank You for keeping us in every way and in every aspect in Your power. Amen, Father God, keep us in Your name. Keep us in the dispensing Triune God. Keep us from the evil one. We pray this for ourselves and for all the saints: bless us and keep us under Your divine dispensing all the days of our life for the fulfilment of Your eternal purpose!

Christ the Son Blesses us by Shining God’s Presence on us and being Gracious to us

Jehovah make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. Num. 6:25

Num. 6:25 says, Jehovah make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; this can be ascribed to the Son, the second of the Divine Trinity.

Luke 1:78 confirms this by saying, “The rising sun will visit us from on high”.

Here Zechariah prophesied concerning the Lord Jesus, the Son of God, who was to come through incarnation and show Himself in a shining way (Matt. 4:16; John 8:12).

This is a good prayer we can offer to the Lord, Lord, may the merciful compassions of our God, in which the rising sun will visit us from on high, shine upon all those sitting in darkness and death!

The Father blesses us and keeps us, and the Son shines on us and is gracious to us.

Because of the merciful compassions of our God, in which the rising sun will visit us from on high, To shine upon those sitting in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. Luke 1:78-79The word “face” in Num. 6:25 signifies presence; Christ is the presence of God, making the invisible God seen to man, and He shines upon us as the face of God Himself (2 Pet. 1:16-18; Matt. 17:1-2).

God is invisible, but Christ came to embody Him, express Him, make Him known, and shine Him forth.

When we look at Him, we are infused with Him, and we cannot but believe into Him, receive Him, and love Him.

Psa. 34:5 says that we look to Him and we are radiant; this corresponds to 2 Cor. 3:16 which speaks of having our veil removed to behold the Lord, and v. 18 speaks of beholding and reflecting the Lord.

When we look at the Lord Jesus, when we behold His face, we are infused with what He is, and we become radiant – we shine even as He shines.

May we pray that all our veils may be removed and may we allow the Lord to shine on us until He shines through us and out of us.

The Son, Christ, blesses us by the shining of His face upon us and by being gracious to us.

As the One whose face shines upon us, Christ the Son of God is the visible presence of the invisible God.

The invisible God, the one who dwells in unapproachable light, has been made visible in Christ, through His incarnation. He came to make God known, to make Him tangible and real to man.

And now the presence of God, the shining of His face, is in our spirit.

When we turn our heart to the Lord, we are unveiled to behold Him, and we see Him face to face; the result is that we reflect Him, and we radiate Him.

We can testify that many times, as we meet with the saints, we look at the saints’ faces and they shine; they may not be conscious of it, but when the saints enjoy Christ with an unveiled face, they behold Him and reflect Him. Hallelujah!

Isa. 60:1 says, Arise! Shine! For the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. Then, in v. 5, it continues, You will see and you will beam. Wow!

As we see the Lord’s shining face, something happens to us: we beam Him to others!

We are those who see His face, enjoy the shining of His face, and beam Him into others for them to see the Lord!

Yes, we may still struggle with the Lord in our personal life, and we may wrestle with Him even as Jacob did in Gen. 32, but the Lord will touch us, He will expose our natural strength, and He will make us into Israel, the prince of God.

When God touches our natural life and our natural life is broken, we are transformed into Israel, the one who struggles with God and who is a prince of God.

May we remain under the shining of His face every day in fellowship with the Lord in the morning and throughout the day.

On one hand, He makes His face shine upon us and on the other hand, He is gracious to us; these two added together equal John 1:14, 16-17.

As the One whose face shines upon us, Christ the Son is the visible presence of the invisible God. God and His presence are invisible, but through His incarnation He became the shining sun. This shining sun is God's invisible presence becoming visible. God's presence not only became visible—it was also shining...Numbers 6:25 speaks...also of Jehovah being gracious to us. These two points added together equal John 1:14, 16-17. God's incarnation was the shining of His presence. Along with this shining there was grace. “The Word became flesh and tabernacled among us,… full of grace” (v. 14). The Lord is gracious to us; He has even become grace to us. For the Lord to be gracious to us means that He is continually grace to us. This grace is the grace of Christ (2 Cor. 13:14a), which is actually Christ Himself. When we have Christ, we have grace. The Triune God is altogether gracious to us. Day after day we enjoy Him as grace. Life-study of Numbers, pp. 80-81, by Witness LeeIn John 1:14 we see that the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us full of grace and reality, and in vv. 16-17 we see that of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.

He is gracious to us. He dispenses grace upon grace into us.

As we enjoy this grace, even the super-abundance of grace, we can reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ (Rom. 5:17). Hallelujah!

God’s incarnation was the shining of His presence, and along with this shining, there was grace.

This grace is the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is actually Christ Himself (2 Cor. 13:14).

We can enjoy grace upon grace day by day, even moment by moment. He doesn’t give us doctrines or commandments – He gives us grace.

He gives Himself to us for our enjoyment so that He may be our bountiful supply for us to live the Christian life.

May we remain under His dispensing day by day and enjoy His grace moment by moment.

Lord Jesus, may Your face shine upon us and infuse us with all that You are. Amen, may the rising sun visit us day by day to impart the riches of God into our being. Thank You for coming to us in a shining way. Keep shining on us, Lord, and keep dispensing Yourself into our being. We come to You and we want to remain under Your shining today so that we may see God, be infused with God, and be saturated with God. Amen, may our heart be unveiled so that we may see God face-to-face! Lord, we want to behold You with an unveiled face so that we may be infused with You and reflect You! May we see God and beam God! May we see God, be infused with God, and radiate God! Amen, Lord, increase our enjoyment of Yourself as grace. Be gracious to us today. May we remain in the enjoyment of grace until grace reigns in us and we reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ!

The Father blessed us [Num. 6:24] in every way and in every aspect in His love (cf. Eph. 1:3), and He keeps us in every way and in every aspect in His power (cf. John 17:11, 15). In Numbers 6:24 the word keep is of crucial importance. In John 17:11 the Lord Jesus prayed that the Father would keep us in His name. This is to keep us in the dispensing Triune God. While the Triune God is dispensing Himself into us, we are kept in the dispensing One. In John 17:15 the Lord Jesus went on to pray that the Father would keep us from the evil one. When we are kept in the dispensing Triune God, there is nothing left for the hand of the enemy. We should pray for the blessing of being kept absolutely in the dispensing Triune God and altogether outside of the evil one. What a blessing this is! “Jehovah make His face shine upon you…” (Num. 6:25). In Luke 1:78, when the Lord Jesus was about to be born, Zachariah prophesied, “The rising sun will visit us from on high.” This rising sun is the Son in the Divine Trinity. This implies God’s incarnation to show Himself to us in a shining way. No one has ever seen God, but through His incarnation we have seen His face and have beheld His glory (John 1:14 ), and He has been shining upon us continually. Wherever He went, He was a great light shining upon the people sitting in darkness (Matt. 4:16), for He is the light of the world (John 8:12). Life-study of Numbers, pp. 80-81, by Witness Lee

Dear brother, God wants to just bless us with what He is.

The Father blesses us with all the spiritual blessings in Christ and keeps us in His dispensing and from the evil one.

The source of grace, Jesus, is Love, God and the source of reality, Jesus, is Light. This truth is expressed in God’s incarnation.

This eternal blessing of the triune God is therefore the triune God dispensing of Himself in His divine Trinity into us for our enjoyment which is expressed in the form of 4 Capital letters of “D” on the title of this week’s study:

“The Divine Dispensing of the Divine Trinity for the Divine eternal Economy”

Praise the Lord for this wonderful revelation of His word! Amen

The eternal blessing of the priests in Numbers 6 foreshadows the dispensing of the Triune God with first, the blessing of the Father in His love and His keeping us from the evil one in His power.

It also shows us God the Son shining on us through incarnation bringing the invisible God into His visible presence.

And with the Holy Spirit through the lifting of His countenance to give us peace.

Such a blessing is the Triune God Himself in Christ as grace to us!

O Father continue to bless us under Your divine dispensing, keeping us from the evil, to remain under the shining of the son and to experience real peace through the Spirit!

Amen brother. In Jesus, the invisible presence of God became visible.

He was born of the Father and conceived by the Holy Spirit to be grace to us.

Now, the Father blesses us, the Son shines upon us and the Holy Spirit lifts up His countenance upon us.

Every day step by step, God gives Himself to us in His Trinity.

Let’s enjoy the Triune God day after day as grace.

Amen brother!

Num. 6:25-27 Jehovah make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; Jehovah lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.

Lukk 1:78-79 Because of the merciful compassions of our God, in which the rising sun will visit us from on high, To shine upon those sitting in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Luke 1:781b sun –  Mal. 4:2; Eph. 5:14 Jesus the Savior was the dawning sun to the dark age. His coming ended the night of the Old Testament and began the day of the New Testament. As the fruit in Elizabeth’s blessing (v. 42 and note 2), He is life to us (John 14:6); as the sun in Zachariah’s prophecy, He is light to us (John 9:5; Matt. 4:16). As such a One, He is the Accomplisher and the center of God’s redemption that His people may obtain salvation.

Hallelujah!
What a Blessing we have!

Num. 6:23-26
23 Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, Thus you shall bless the children of Israel; you shall say to them,
24 Jehovah bless you and keep you;
25 Jehovah make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
26 Jehovah lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.

Eph. 1:3
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ,

Matt. 4:16
16 The people sitting in darkness have seen a great light; and to those sitting in the region and shadow of death, to them light has risen.”

John 8:12
12 Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall by no means walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

This is the Word of God. Amen!

“In the blessing in Numbers 6, “Jehovah bless you and keep you” (v. 24) is ascribed to the Father; “Jehovah make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you” (v. 25) is ascribed to the Son; and “Jehovah lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace” (v. 26) is ascribed to the Holy Spirit. The Father blesses us, the Son shines upon us, and the Holy Spirit lifts up His countenance upon us. As a result, we are kept, we receive grace, and we have peace.
The blessing in Numbers 6 is…the eternal blessing of the Triune God, which is the Triune God dispensing Himself in His Divine Trinity into us for our enjoyment. This is God’s eternal blessing.”
(Life-study of Numbers, pp. 79-80)

The title of this week encapsulated in one whole sentence the whole Bible;

THE ETERNAL BLESSING OF THE TRIUNE GOD THROUGH THE DIVINE DISPENSING OF THE DIVINE TRINITY INTO US FOR THE ACCOMPLISHING OF THE DIVINE ECONOMY

What a blessing!
What a mystery revealed to us!
What a hope that we will be partaken of the ultimate consummation of this Divine Economy!

Christ was, is, and must be the only subject we focus on. Without Christ in our daily life, second by second we breathe, we are nothing, we have nothing, we value nothing.

Christ is God Himself, He dispensed into Him for us to received His grace through the tough process the Triune God had to passed. We are ungrateful when we get distracted with doctrines and teachings that have no Christ as the only center and revelation of God the Father.

We get distracted with the issues of life, also, by letting others to drag us into gossiping within the Body of Christ; by letting our own ego looking to shine our self before the congregation; by looking a position of leadership and control a group, instead looking to be (like Paul says) “ …less than the least of all saints,..” Eph. 3:8

We ought to shepherd others by condemning their practices and judging their ways, without touching the Lord everyday through His Word and by washing our feet in His Word!

Oh lord Jesus! You are the only shining, the only God-Head in Your house, the only One who hold the key to open and close so nobody can close or open; the One that through the Life-giving Spirit, mingled with our Spirit, became the practicality of the source. “God gives Himself to us in His Trinity, step by step and little by little. If you were to ask me what blessing I have received from the Lord, I would answer, “The only blessing I have received from the Lord is my Triune God. My Triune God is my blessing.”

Yes! The only blessing we can count on. Let’s not take it for granted, let’s not waste it. Let’s be diligent reading and soaking ourselves in His Word by humble our hearts hence, we can receive His revelations, instead borrowing from others and repeating without experiencing our Lord Jesus in our daily life. Amen!
