We need to Find Grace in the Eyes of the Lord and Depend on His Grace in Everything

...be empowered in the grace which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Tim. 2:1

Like Noah did in his age, we need to find grace in the eyes of the Lord; we need the grace of God for us to live our Christian life and to face the situations and things coming our way, for only God coming to us to be our strength and everything can face all these things.

Our Christian life should be the experience of grace, the living of grace; in every step of our journey, we need to enjoy God in Christ as grace.

Everything in our life, every matter, every person, and every situation should be a part of our living of grace.

Both in good things and in difficult things, both in good times and in hard times, we need to contact the Lord and enjoy Him as grace.

We need the grace of God all the time; grace is not something that God does for us or gives to us but grace is God Himself being everything to us.

When we are in difficult situations, when we’re in trouble and in suffering, we may come to the Lord more eagerly to ask for His grace; however, we need to enjoy the Lord as grace also in the mundane things of our daily life.

In big things and in small things, in all kinds of situations, we need to rely on the Lord; we need to come to the Lord and find grace in the eyes of the Lord.

It is true that in our suffering we are more inclined to come to the Lord and take Him as grace, but what about our daily living, the parts of our living that are not suffering or difficult?

In all things, may we turn to the Lord and enjoy Him.

The apostle Paul had a thorn in his flesh, and he prayed concerning it three times, asking the Lord to remove it; the thorn must be very painful, so Paul must have prayed fervently to the Lord to remove it. But the Lord’s response was simply, My grace is sufficient for you.

The grace of God is sufficient for us. It is the grace of God that can cause us to bear the pain inflicted by the thorn, and even in our suffering and weaknesses He can tabernacle over us as power, and He can be expressed through us.

Instead of the Lord removing the thorn in our flesh, He will increase and multiply the grace so that our enjoyment and experience of Christ would be much higher and stronger than the pain or the suffering.

If we see this, if we realize that our sufferings, pain, and tribulations can be the incarnation of God as grace to meet our every need and to bountifully supply us for us to live Christ, we will not despise or dread suffering and tribulations.

Many problems will no longer be problems to us, for the more problems, burdens, and suffering we have, the more we can experience Christ as grace.

May this be our experience in our daily life; may we daily experience and enjoy God in Christ as grace, and may we all find grace in the eyes of the Lord in all things, so that His grace would more than meet the need and we would manifest Him.

Like Noah, we need to Find Grace in the Eyes of the Lord, Depending on His Grace for Everything

And Jehovah said, My Spirit will not strive with man forever, for he indeed is flesh; so his days will be one hundred twenty years. Gen. 6:3 But Noah found favor in the sight of Jehovah. Gen. 6:8Gen. 6:8 says that Noah found favour in the eyes of Jehovah; he lived in a crooked and perverted generation, but he sought and found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Noah lived in a perverse, evil, and crooked generation; however, his parents and grandparents taught him the things of God, and he walked with God.

Noah realize that he needed God’s grace, so he sought and found grace in the eyes of Jehovah.

Like Noah, we need to find grace in the eyes of the Lord; we need to depend on Him for everything.

The days we live in are like the days of Noah; we live in a crooked and perverted generation, and evil, immorality, and idolatry are everywhere around us.

In Gen. 6:3 God said that His Spirit will no longer strive with man; He was still striving with man, ready to give grace to those who need it.

Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord, but the rest of the people rejected the grace of God.

What does it mean to find grace in the eyes of the Lord?

Grace is not something objective, something outside of us, that God would give us or do for us; grace is God Himself coming to us, being everything to us, being our enjoyment and experience, and doing everything for us.

If we are weak, we can come to the Lord and He will be grace to us; He will be our strength in weakness, for He is grace to us.

If we are unable to face our situation, we can come to the Lord and find grace in His eyes, and He will come to us, stand with us, and face our situation with us.

What Noah enjoyed from God is not something objective that God gave him; he enjoyed God Himself, and God’s appearing and speaking to Noah, His presence with Noah, was everything to him.

This is to find grace in the eyes of the Lord. Grace doesn’t mean that God will give us a better car, a bigger house, a nice wife, good children, or a big raise at work; grace is God coming to us and being everything to us.

Grace is not merely something objective that is given to us by God. Grace is God Himself coming to us and doing things for us. Are you weak? God will come to be your strength, and that coming of God is grace. Are you unable to face your situation? That need not be a problem, because God will come to stand with you and face that situation for and in you. This is grace. If you read Genesis 6 carefully, you will see that grace here does not mean that God gave Noah many things. It means that God came to Noah and was with Noah. God’s presence was Noah’s strength and power. Noah not only enjoyed something given to him by God objectively, but he enjoyed God Himself. In the midst of a crooked, perverse, and adulterous generation, a generation whose temptations no one could withstand, Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. God came to strengthen Noah that He might stand with him and uphold him. That was the grace that Noah found, and that is the grace that we need today. Life-study of Genesis, p. 376, by Witness LeeAs we live at the end of this age with the corruption, immorality, and evil being so present and real around us, we need to learn to find grace in the eyes of the Lord.

We need to come to Him again and again throughout the day, asking for His grace and depending on His grace for everything.

What we need is not that God would do this for us or give that to us; we need God Himself to be our everything, and we need Him to come in and do everything in us and for us.

In this evil and adulterous generation, a generation whose temptations no one could withstand, we should be those who find grace in the eyes of the Lord.

We shouldn’t blame the corruption and immorality around us and say that it’s impossible to live Christ in such a situation; we need to simply turn to our spirit, come to the throne of grace, and receive mercy and find grace for timely help (Heb. 4:16).

When we find grace in the eyes of the Lord, He comes in to strengthen us, He stands with us, He upholds us, and He does everything in us and for us.

This is what Noah experienced; in the midst of the crooked and perverted generation in his days, when everyone was going along with the flood of dissoluteness and corruption, Noah walked with God and worked with God, and he found favour in the eyes of Jehovah.

May we come to the Lord and ask Him,

Lord Jesus, we need Your grace and mercy. We come to You, dear Lord, to find grace in the eyes of the Lord. Grant us the portion of grace for today. We depend on You, Lord, and we depend on Your grace with our spirit. We admit, Lord, that we can’t live the Christian life without Your grace. Keep us coming to You throughout the day to take You as grace. It is only Your grace that can meet our need. Come in, Lord, and stand with us. Strengthen us into the inner man and be our enjoyment and experience. Oh Lord, in the midst of this crooked, perverse, and evil generation, make us those who find grace in the eyes of the Lord!

We need to Come to the Throne of Grace to Find Grace and Live by the Grace of God

But Noah found favor in the sight of Jehovah. Gen. 6:8

If we only take a look at the things happening around us, we will be saddened by the corruption and evil in society today.

If we just open the newspaper or check the news online, we only hear and read of immorality, evil, corruption, and perverse things.

If we listen to the radio, watch TV, or watch YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok, all we see and hear is evil and corrupt. Oh, Lord Jesus!

Even when we go to school, at university, or at work, people speak all kinds of evil, corrupt, and devilish things.

All social media websites surface and promote divisive, corrupt, and evil content, for this is what “drives engagement”.

The age we live in is truly crooked, perverse, and adulterous.

But flee youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Tim. 2:22 The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you. 2 Tim. 4:22People around us talk about corruption, immorality, and evil things without one bit of shame; who can stand in such a generation?

The new “normal” in society is completely opposite to what the Bible says and to what was there at the beginning of God’s creation.

God ordained that there would be one husband with one wife, but what we see today is everything else but this.

We all have a fallen nature within us, the same evil nature that all men have; we are no better than others, but we are those who want to find grace in the eyes of the Lord.

No fallen person can withstand the situation today, and no sinner can stand strong and straight in front of what is happening today.

We need grace; we need to come to the throne of God with boldness and ask Him to give us grace and to be grace to us.

We need to come to the throne of grace, find grace in the eyes of the Lord, and live by the grace of God.

We cannot live our Christian life without the grace of God. We cannot go to work or to school without the grace of God.

We cannot go shopping without the Lord’s presence. We need the Lord to stand with us and be our strength; it is only by finding grace in the eyes of the Lord that we can be Christian and we can live Christ.

Even in the family life, with all the friction, exchange of words, and issues happening, especially with the rate of divorce being so high around us, it is easy to be tempted to divorce your spouse.

The world teaches you that if you don’t like someone or if you think you’re not compatible, you don’t have to be with that person; they teach you to do what you want to do, what makes you happy.

It is only the grace that can enable us to be one with our husband or wife; it is only the enjoyment of Christ as grace that can keep the family together and make them the expression of the grace of God.

And the grace of our Lord superabounded with faith and love in Christ Jesus. 1 Tim. 1:14 For we are His masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand in order that we would walk in them. Eph. 2:10 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all the saints. Amen. Rev. 22:21Even children and young people, when they go to school and are among their peers, they need the grace of God; nothing but grace can cause them to stand for the Lord against bullying, temptations, drugs, evil relationships, and many other evil and immoral things happening today in schools.

Instead of worrying about these things, we need to simply come to the Lord, again and again, to find grace in His eyes.

Instead of worrying about our children going to school or our spouse disagreeing with us, we should simply come to the throne of grace to find mercy and grace with the Lord.

We need grace. Only grace can enable us to live Christ. Only by grace can we live the Christian life.

Only by grace can we be a proper human being who lives Christ and expresses Christ.

Only by grace, we can walk with God, and only by grace can we be kept, preserved, and made more than overcomers over today’s temptations, immorality, evil, and dissoluteness.

May we realize our need for grace and may we come to the throne of grace in our spirit again and again so that we may find grace in the eyes of the Lord and walk with God, work with God, and end this age.

This grace can make us overcomers, the normal Christians who not only stand against the evil, immorality, and corruption in this age but even more, overcome by the grace of God to fulfil the economy of God and hasten the Lord’s return.

Lord Jesus, we are here: we need Your grace! We don’t ask You to give us this or do that for us; we simply need more grace! We come to find grace to meet our need. We cannot go on without Your grace. We cannot live our Christian life without Your grace. Oh Lord, we come forward to the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace for the timely help. We need Your presence in everything. Keep us enjoying You as grace. Dear Lord, stand with us and be our strength; strengthen us into our inner man and make us Your overcoming ones. May we stand in the grace, live by the grace of God, and overcome anything that stands against the Lord. Amen, Lord, give more of Yourself to us as grace!

Ammmeeenn!!!
The grace that Noah found is the grace that we need today. In the midst of the adulterous, crooked, perverted, and wicked generation he was able not only to withstand the age but turn the age for God to have a new beginning!
What Grace is this! What grace can do to save a fallen man.
Where sins abound; grace superabounds. Where the flesh as the masterpiece is reigning, Grace can reign over it too.
Oh we just need to cooperate with this grace to receive, experience, and enjoy Grace in a continuous increasing, abounding way.
Praise You Lord!! To You be the glory, honor, thanks and our worship. Amen!!!

What a revelation to see that a man like Noah could withstand the crooked and perverse generation he lived in because of grace! Because he walked with God, and had God’s presence he could stand during such a time. Today, we also as we see the crookedness and perverseness of this age – like the days of Noah – need grace. That is is we need to enjoy God through the exercise of our spirit to be strengthened to overcome Satan, sin and death which is the flesh in such a situation.

we cannot live the Christian life, especially in this evil and perverse generation, without the grace of God. We need to come to the Lord day by day, touch the throne of grace, and find grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Oh Lord, we need Your grace! We need grace to meet our need. We can’t live without Your grace. Come in, dear Lord, and uphold us, strengthen us, and do everything in us!

The matter of divorce is a great temptation to the young people today. The temptations are without and the lusts are within …Because none of us is able to stand, we need the grace to be today’s Noah. Only grace can enable you to be one with your wife or husband. Only grace can help us to love our husbands or wives without change. None of us can do it without grace, for there is too much temptation. The tide, current, and trend of the age are too strong. People seem to think that if you are not divorced, you are not modern…How we need grace! We need God to come to us to be our strength and everything we need. This is grace. This is what Noah needed and what we also need today. Noah found it, and we also must find it. Because Noah found grace, it was easy for him to walk with God. Parents are concerned about their children in school. The biggest temptation that the children face in the schools today is the matter of drugs. Even in the elementary schools there are heroin addicts. This is pitiful! The young children cannot stand against this kind of temptation. They need grace. There is no addiction that you can overcome by yourself. You need to come to the throne of grace and find grace. Noah found grace and he walked with God. Grace helped him to walk with God. Like Noah, we must find grace. Grace requires human cooperation, and Noah gave the necessary cooperation and found grace. Grace is Christ coming to be everything we need. Without the presence of God we cannot withstand the temptations that are without & the lusts within. We really must come boldly to the throne of grace (in our spirit) and find the grace that will meet our need
