having been reconciled to God we now have access unto the Father in one Spirit to enjoy Him!

May 23, 2011 by aGodMan 2 Comments

The entire Triune God is working and operating to gain man – God the Father came in God the Son to reconcile us back to God and now we have access unto the Father in one Spirit! Through God the Son (who is the Accomplisher, the means) and in God the Spirit (who is the Executor, the application) we have access unto God the Father (who is the Originator, the source) to enjoy Him!

God doesn’t intend to just reconcile us back to Himself, and not even just to reconcile the Jews and the Gentiles into one Body through His death on the cross. No, God wants more – He wants man to come and have access unto God the Father to enjoy Him in the Spirit!

This is all revealed in Eph. 2:16-18 where it says,

And might reconcile both in one Body to God through the cross, having slain the enmity by it. And coming, He announced peace as the gospel to you who were far off, and peace to those who were near, for through Him [that is, Christ] we both have access in one Spirit unto the Father.

First of all, both the Jewish and the Gentile believers were reconciled in one Body to God – God didn’t reconcile “individuals”, He reconciled two peoples that had a distinct separation, the Jews and the Gentiles. Through the body of Christ on the cross, any separation, ordination, law, etc – was put to death, and now these two peoples have been reconciled!

On the cross Christ broke down the wall of separation and created the two peoples, the Jews and the Gentiles, into one entity – the one new man! When these two peoples were created into one new man, Christ simultaneously reconciled them to God in one Body!

This is a fact: we were reconciled to God and we were reconciled the Gentiles with the Jews in one Body in Christ! Hallelujah for this fact! Based on this fact, we can now go further to enjoy the Father with all He is and has – in the Spirit!

To be in the Body reconciled to God and the others is a FACT; but to be in the Spirit enjoying the Father is an experience – we need to be in the Spirit in order to enjoy all that God is! The secret is to be in our spirit which is mingled with the Spirit.

Don’t be in your mind and don’t just rely on facts – get into the Spirit and enjoy God the Father! Once we were far off from God, but now we have been reconciled to God positionally. There is no separation, no partition, no problem between us and God! But we must go further – we need to be in the Spirit to enjoy this fact, to enjoy having access unto the Father!

Through Christ and in the Spirit we have access unto God the Father – the entire Divine Trinity is working and operating to bring man into the enjoyment of Himself! To enjoy experientially what we possess positionally, we need to be in the Spirit!

[enjoyment from the life-study of Ephesians as quoted in the Holy Word for Morning Revival on, The Central Line of the Bible; intro via Access Unto The Father]

Thank You Lord for the fact – we have been reconciled to God in the body of Christ on the cross! There is nothing between us and God – we have peace toward God! We are reconciled to God! We praise You for Your wonderful peace-making death on the cross! This fact is ours to possess! But Lord, keep us turning to our mingled spirit – to be in the Spirit! We want not just the fact – we want to experience this! We now have access unto God the Father in the Spirit! Lord, keep us turning to the spirit and being in the Spirit to enjoy all that the Father is and has! We want the experience, not just the fact!

…. so we were not ONLY reconciled to God and that's it: we were reconciled to God SO THAT we may have access to God the Father in one Spirit and through the Son! This is so good!

Yes, it a fact that we were reconciled to God, but now much more are saved in His life(Rom. 10:17) by daily coming to God through the Son in the Spirit!

Praise the LORD for the operation of the Divine Trinity to gain man! In this operation, we see that based on GOD the FATHER's desire that man have access to HIM and enjoy HIM, GOD the SON stepped in to pave the way by accomplishing redemption – paying all the price required. Now GOD the SPIRIT applies all that GOD the SON has accomplished, thereby fulfilling the desire of GOD the FATHER. Today we have not only been reconciled to GOD but also have access unto GOD the FATHER to enjoy HIM in spirit (Eph. 2:16-18). It is a glorious fact that GOD has reconciled both the Jews and Gentiles in one Body unto HIMSELF, but to have an experiential enjoyment of this fact required us to live in spirit. Outside the mingled spirit, no experiential enjoyment of this rich access to the FATHER…
