Live in the Faith of Christ, the Son of God, by Remaining in the Organic Union with Him

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit. 1 Cor. 6:17

As believers in Christ, we live in faith – the faith of the Son of God; this is the faith of Jesus Christ in us which becomes the faith by which we believe in Him and by which we live, for our faith is of and in Christ.

Faith in Jesus Christ denotes an organic union with Him through believing. The reason we have faith in Christ is not that we were convinced that the Bible speaks the truth, so we believe.

We have faith in Christ because we have seen something of Christ, we heard something about Christ, and we spontaneously love Him and want to know Him more.

John 1:12-13 speaks of those who receive Christ, that is, believe into His name, these were given the authority to be called children of God.

Being a child of God is not something symbolic, something that is a type of our relationship with God; being a child of God means we’re born of God with His life and nature.

It is our right as believers in Christ to enjoy and partake of the life and nature of God. Through faith in Christ, we entered into an organic union with Him.

When we believed into Christ, we entered into Him; when we believed into the Lord, we became one spirit with Him (1 Cor. 6:17).

Now as believers in Christ, we are organically joined to Him, and we learn to live a life in this organic union with the Lord. We believe not only in Christ but into Christ (John 3:15-16), for we believe ourselves into Christ, out of ourselves and into Him.

To believe into Christ means we are organically joined to Him by faith; faith is our link, or organic link, to God.

This is how we can live a life by faith: by realizing we are in Christ and Christ is in us, and by remaining in the organic union with the Lord.

Because we are one spirit with the Lord, we refuse to be ruled by fear; we refuse to allow the situation around us, the pandemic raging all over the earth, to rule over us through fear.

Because we are intimately joined to the Lord and abide in the organic union with Him to live by faith, we are ruled by the Lord and His word, not the things that are seen.

We Christians are ruled not by what we see but by what we believe; we believe into Christ, and our faith in Him causes us to overcome the one who is in the world.

Yes, the world has its riches and enticements, and the world has its worries and fears, but we believers in Christ live in another realm, the realm of being one with the Lord in the mingled spirit.

In the realm of our mingled spirit, we live by faith, and we exercise our will not to believe what we see outwardly but live one spirit with the Lord in all things, living a life by faith.

As we Remain in the Organic Union with Christ to be infused with His preciousness, we are Justified by God

With a view to the demonstrating of His righteousness in the present time, so that He might be righteous and the One who justifies him who is of the faith of Jesus. Rom. 3:26We need to realize that we are joined to the Lord as one spirit (1 Cor. 6:17) and we have an organic union with Him.

This is crucial for our Christian life and church life.

We don’t merely have to read the Bible to know what God wants from us; we need to read the Bible because we are joined to the One who is revealed in the Bible, and we want to know Him in an intimate and personal way.

Because we are joined to the Lord as one spirit, we share in whatever He has and has accomplished.

In the organic union with Christ, we are justified by God through our faith in Jesus Christ.

Many Christians have quite a doctrinal understanding of justification by faith; they think that, when we believe in Christ, He is the righteous One, so God reckons Christ to be our righteousness.

But justification by faith is much more than this: it involves and implies an organic union with the Lord.

Yes, Christ is the just One, and He is the righteous One on the throne in the presence of God.

However, we need to realize that we are joined to Him organically, for through faith in Christ we’re joined to be one spirit with the Lord.

This is something we need to realize and experience every day.

In our daily life, we need to realize that we are one spirit with the Lord, and simply by being one with Him in spirit, we are justified by God.

As we remain in our organic union with Christ, we are infused with His preciousness, and we are justified by God.

Being justified by God involves that we are in Christ, for through faith in Christ, we are put in Him and He is put in us; we are now in Christ and Christ is in us.

Through believing into Christ (John 3:15-16), we enter into an organic union with Him in which all that He is becomes ours and all that we are becomes His.

We and Him are one, He is in us and we are in Him; in this organic union with Christ, as we remain under the rich infusion of what He is, we are justified by God. Hallelujah!

That everyone who believes into Him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone who believes into Him would not perish, but would have eternal life. John 3:15-16Genuine believing is our reaction and appreciation of Christ as we hear about Him and are infused with his preciousness.

Through believing into Christ, we and Christ become one; because we and Christ are one, God must reckon Christ as our righteousness.

When we heard the gospel and sensed the Lord’s preciousness, we simply reacted by believing into Him, for an appreciation rose up in us toward Him; this is faith.

Jesus Christ is not a historical figure who did many great and wonderful things; He is a living Person who is infused into us by our hearing of the word of God.

Day by day we need to be under the hearing of God’s word to be strengthened in our organic union with the Lord.

From the time of our regeneration, Christ and we became one and in reality.

In this organic union, in our oneness with the Lord, we enjoy what Christ is and He infuses Himself into us.

This organic union with Christ is accomplished in a spontaneous way through the living faith produced by our appreciation of Christ, and in this union, we are justified by God.

Lord Jesus, we love You. You are the most precious One. Thank You for coming to die for us and to infuse Your divine life into us. Thank You for becoming a man in the flesh to know our sufferings and weaknesses. Thank You for dying to redeem us and terminate every negative thing. Amen, Lord, we thank You for resurrecting to become a life-giving Spirit to come into us and regenerate us with Your life. We believe into You. We are full of appreciation for what You are and what You have done. Amen, Lord, thank You for making us one with You! Hallelujah for our organic union with the Lord accomplished through the living faith produced by our appreciation of Him! Praise the Lord, in our organic union with Christ, we are justified by God!

As Believers in Christ, we live Live in Faith – the Faith of and In Christ, the Son of God

I am crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Gal. 2:20

Gal. 2:20 is a wonderful yet mysterious verse; here we see that our living as Christians today is in faith, and this faith is the faith of the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself up for us.

The Son of God denotes Christ’s person who came to impart the life of God into us.

The faith in which we live God’s life is in the Son of God, the life-imparting One. Christ, the Son of God, loved us and purposely gave Himself up for us so that He may impart the divine life into all those who believe into Him.

As believers in Christ, we have another life besides our human life – we have the zoe life of God, the spiritual and divine life.

Even the righteousness of God through the faith of Jesus Christ to all those who believe, for there is no distinction. Rom. 3:22 And knowing that a man is not justified out of works of law, but through faith in Jesus Christ, we also have believed into Christ Jesus that we might be justified out of faith in Christ and not out of the works of law, because out of the works of law no flesh will be justified. Gal. 2:16Like the apostle Paul said, we live in faith, the faith of the Son of God; it is no longer us who live but Christ who lives in us, and the life we live in the flesh we live in faith.

The faith of the Son of God refers to the faith of Jesus Christ in us, which becomes the faith by which we believe in Him (Gal. 2:16, 20; 3:22).

It is His faith that becomes our faith through our appreciation of Him.

We do not live by our own faith; in ourselves, we have no faith, but the faith of the Son of God and in the Son of God has been infused into us, and we live by the faith of the Son of God.

What we need is not only faith that is in Christ but also faith that is of Christ; it is His faith, not ours.

As we spend time with the Lord and enjoy Him, we treasure Him and appreciate Him; in this organic union with Him, He causes faith to be generated in us, enabling us to believe in Him (Matt. 17:5; Heb. 12:2).

He knows what we are able to do, and He knows what we are not able to do; we are all the same, and He in us enables us to believe in Him as we treasure Him.

Christ in us, the Son of God who imparts the divine life into us, causes faith to be generated in us, enabling us to believe in Him.

According to our Christian experience, the genuine living faith that operates in us is not only of Christ but also in Christ (Rom. 3:22, 26; Gal. 2:16, 20).

The faith which we have and by which we live is the faith that is both of Christ and in Christ.

As believers in Christ, we live in the faith of and in Christ; He is the source of the faith, and He infuses Himself into us to be our living faith.

Faith is related not only to the Christ who has been infused into us but also to the Christ who is continually infusing Himself into us.

One secret of experiencing Christ living in us is revealed in a phrase in Galatians 2:20—in faith. Paul did not live by his own faith; he lived by the faith that is both in and of the Son of God. This indicates that we need to live by a certain kind of faith. However, this faith is not something that we ourselves have. Rather, it is the faith of the Son of God. What we need is not only faith that is in Christ but also faith that is of Christ. The faith is His, not ours, but we can be in this faith. In speaking of faith, Paul refers to “the faith of the Son of God.” This expression implies that the faith mentioned in this verse is… the faith which He Himself possesses. However, this phrase also means faith in the Son of God. According to our Christian experience, the genuine living faith which operates in us is not only of Christ but also in Christ. Hence, Paul's meaning here actually is “the faith of and in Christ.” The Conclusion of the New Testament, pp. 3280-3281, by Witness LeeYes, we did experience and enjoy Christ last year, last month, and even yesterday, but today we need to continue to enjoy Him and open to His infusing of Himself into us.

We simply need to be open vessels to His fresh and continual infusing. When we put our head on the pillow at night, we should have the feeling that we have more of Christ in our being than when we woke up in the morning.

As Christ operates in us, He becomes our faith; this faith is of Him and also in Him.

As Phil. 2:12-13 says, God operates in us both the willing and the working according to His good pleasure.

We simply need to open up to Him and let Him operate. He makes us willing, and when we are willing, we are believing, so He has a way to work Himself into us.

A secret of experiencing Christ living in us is revealed in the words “in faith” in Gal. 2:20.

Paul testified that he lived by the faith that is both in and of the Son of God, and it is by this faith that he cooperated with God’s inner operation.

The faith that we need is not only the faith in the Son of God but also the faith of the Son of God. It is in and by this faith that we can carry out God’s economy, which is in faith.

Dear Lord Jesus, You are the Author and Perfecter of our Faith. You are the Wonderful One whom we have not seen but we love and believe. Grant us to have a governing and controlling vision of God’s economy so that we may be filled with Christ as our faith. Keep infusing Your faith into us until we live by the faith in and of the Son of God. Lord, may our faith be developed and perfected as we are running the race set before us. Keep infusing faith into all of us so that we may carry out God’s economy in faith. Show us the vision of God’s economy in faith. Develop this faith in us. Thank You for what You are doing in us. Thank You for keeping us in the organic union with You so that we may live by the faith of the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself up for us!

Many Christians have a mere doctrinal understanding of justification by faith. According to their concept, Christ is the just One, the righteous One on the throne in the presence of God. When we believe in Christ, God reckons Christ to be our righteousness. This understanding of justification is very shallow. In order to be justified by faith in Christ, we need to believe in the Lord Jesus out of an appreciation of His preciousness. As Christ’s preciousness is infused into us through the preaching of the gospel, we spontaneously appreciate the Lord and call on Him. This is genuine believing. Through such a believing, we and Christ become one. Therefore, God must reckon Him as our righteousness. When we heard the gospel, we began to sense the Lord’s preciousness. This gave rise to the living faith that joined us to Christ organically. From that time onward, Christ and we became one in life and in reality. Therefore, justification by faith is not merely a matter of position. It is also an organic matter, a matter in life. The organic union with Christ is accomplished spontaneously through the living faith produced by our appreciation of Him. This is to be justified through faith in Christ. we are justified by faith in Christ, by our remaining in the organic union with the Lord. This faith is not of us but of Him, for it is the faith in and of Christ, who loves us and gave himself up for us. Lord, may we live in the organic union with You today. May we live by the faith of the Son of God!

We are justified out of faith, that is through our appreciating and treasuring of Christ, we have received Him as our faith – our believing ability so that we may walk by faith and not by appearance. This faith – which is of Him and in Him – is the issue of our being infused with Him so that we may continually live the Christian life through the exercise of the spirit of faith.

Amen brother so good to know that nothing is of us. Faith is absolutely of Christ and in Christ. First we here the gospel and we begin to appreciate something of this precious One. As we are hearing Christ is infusing Himself into us and we spontaneously believe into Him and call on His name. In this way we enter into an organic relationship with the Lord.
