When man’s will is in Harmony with God’s Will, His Will is done on Earth as in Heaven

You then pray in this way: Our Father who is in the heavens, Your name be sanctified; Your kingdom come; Your will be done, as in heaven, so also on earth. Matt. 6:9-10

The Almighty God who created all things and is omnipotent and omnipresent is limited by man in what He wants to do on earth, for He needs man’s will to be in harmony with God’s will for Him to carry out His will on earth.

This may sound surprising or even shocking, but the God who created us in His image and likeness, the God who created the earth with all the things on it, and the God who simply spoke and things came into being, this God has a principle: He needs man’s cooperation for what He wants to do on earth.

When it comes to God’s move and work on earth, everything can be accomplished only when there’s a will on earth that cooperates with Him in prayer; when God’s people pray in oneness and harmony with God’s will, He will carry out His will on earth.

We may think that, since God is so great, so almighty, and so omnipotent, what can stop Him from doing what He wants to do?

Well, it is man who can hinder God from doing what He wants to do; man can temporarily delay God from fulfilling His will.

So God comes to us not in a forceful way but in a sweet and loving way, He reveals Himself to us, He draws us with chords of a man and with bands of love, and He unveils His heart’s desire to us.

When we see the desire of God’s heart, when we see the eternal will of God, we join ourselves to Him.

This is what God wants to gain: a group of people – the church – who is joined to God’s desire through His word in prayer, and they utter God’s will for Him to do it.

Satan knows that God will fulfill His will and that He needs man to do it; he knows that God can destroy him just like that but God chose man to deal with Satan.

So the enemy does his best to ruin man, to corrupt man, to distract the believers, to wear them out, and thus to delay the fulfillment of God’s will.

God has a will, the eternal will of God; man has a will; the angels also have a will; and Satan’s will stands against God’s will, always opposing it and rebelling against it.

Man is the deciding factor; man can choose God’s will and have his will in harmony with God’s will – but when man doesn’t do this, by default man’s will is aligned with Satan’s will and carries out his evil purpose.

Oh Lord Jesus! May we see the great will of God to head up all things in Christ through the church, may we join ourselves to His will through prayer in His word, and may we be those who today release the carrying out of God’s will on the earth!

God does not Annul or Usurp Man’s will: He Moves and Acts when Man’s will is in Harmony with God’s will

Therefore we also, since the day we heard of it, do not cease praying and asking on your behalf that you may be filled with the full knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Epaphras…[is] always struggling on your behalf in his prayers that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God. Col. 1:9, 4:12God has a will for everything, but He would not act independently when it relates to man or the earth; rather, He wants the human will on earth to echo His will in harmony with God’s will before He does anything (Matt. 6:10; 1 John 5:14-15).

In the age of time – from eternity past to eternity future, however long this period is – God would not act independently of man; He has limited Himself to man’s cooperation, and He is bound by this principle.

God wants our will to be in harmony with God’s will and match His will, so that we would echo His desire in prayer and give God the ground to carry out His will.

God would not act independently, and He will not accomplish His will alone; instead, He will accomplish His will only when we, His people, agree with Him and are one with Him (Col. 1:9; 4:12).

This applies not only to the negative aspect of God’s will (the defeat of Satan) but also to the positive aspect of His will (the carrying out of His dispensing).

God doesn’t dispense Himself from the heavens into man; He doesn’t just “pour out His dispensing” from heavens to the earth on men.

Rather, He has channels on earth – He preaches the gospel through men, He visits the new believers through men, He shepherds the saints through men, He perfects the believers through men, and He builds up the church through men who prophesy in oneness with Him.

When we heard the gospel it wasn’t directly from God in heavens; rather, there was a human being that spoke the word of God to us, and God’s dispensing reached us through men who are one with Him and cooperate with Him.

On the negative side, similarly, God could easily wipe out Satan and blot his memory out; He created Lucifer – who became Satan, and He could easily destroy him.

But God won’t do this; He will use man to deal with Satan, and when man’s will is in harmony with God’s will, Satan is eliminated and his works are undone on earth.

If there’s only God’s will in heaven, He will not move; God’s will is accomplished on earth when we, His people, want the will in heaven to be done on earth, and when man’s will is in harmony with God’s will to be carried out on earth (Matt. 6:10).

God’s desire must actually be duplicated in us to such an extent that it is our desire; it’s not simply that we see His desire and agree with it, but that what He wants becomes what we want!

God wants harmony of wills; He wants that our will be in harmony with God’s will, and we truly want and desire what He wants and desires.

Because God acts according to the laws established by Him, He will not just annul or usurp man’s will to carry out His own will; He will not act independently but rather depend on man’s cooperation to carry out His will.

And if it seems wrong in your sight to serve Jehovah, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve, either the gods from across the River, whom your fathers served, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve Jehovah. Then Joshua said to the people, You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen Jehovah on your own, to serve Him....Joshua 24:15, 22God would never violate man’s free will, just as He didn’t violate Lucifer’s free will; He could do this, but He will not, because this is the law that He established.

In Josh. 24:15 we see how Joshua told the people of Israel that, if it seemed wrong in their sight to serve Jehovah, they should choose whom should they serve, but as for him and his house, he chooses to serve Jehovah.

Joshua didn’t force or coerce them to serve Jehovah; rather, he gave them the free choice to serve either Jehovah or the idols, but as for him and his house, he would serve Jehovah.

Then in v. 22 he said, You are witnesses against yourselves, that you have chosen Jehovah on your own to serve Him.

Our will needs to be in harmony with God’s will by willingly choosing God’s will and praying God’s will; this is a conscious choice, a willingness from man’s part to cooperate with God.

Every human being has to make their own conscious choice; we can never choose for someone else, not even for our own spouse or children.

Lord Jesus, make the desire of Your heart become the desire of our heart. We choose to serve You and to be one with You. Thank You for respecting our free will; Lord, we choose Your will! May our will be in harmony with God’s will so that we may echo on earth what the will of God is, for God to accomplish His will on earth as it is in the heavens! Amen, Lord Jesus, we are one with You. We want to do nothing apart from You, and we want what You want. May Your will be done and Your kingdom come on earth as it is in the heaven!

Whenever man’s will is in Harmony with God’s Will, the Will of God is Done on Earth as in Heaven

You then pray in this way: Our Father who is in the heavens, Your name be sanctified; Your kingdom come; Your will be done, as in heaven, so also on earth. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Matt. 6:9-13Everything that is related to God’s move and work on earth can be accomplished not only by God Himself but with man’s cooperation; when there’s a will on earth to cooperate with God’s will, He will carry out His will.

God cannot do what He wants by Himself because He has set for the principle of cooperating with man; He does it only in cooperation with the church, and He accomplishes His will through the church.

God is omnipotent and almighty; there is nothing that He cannot do.

However, economically speaking, in what it relates to man and the earth in time, God would not act without the cooperation of man.

He needs man’s prayer; when man’s will is in harmony with God’s will, the will of God is done on earth as in heaven.

Such a prayer is not individual prayer, but the prayer ministry of the church; this doesn’t mean necessarily that the church needs to come together and pray, but there has to be vital groups standing in the Body to pray as the Body, taking the position of the church in oneness with the ascended Christ.

The Lord is looking for overcomers who see God’s will and His need, have their will in harmony with God’s will, and stand in the position of the Body in ascension one with Christ to pray for the will of God.

Whenever God’s people place their will in harmony with God’s will, the will of God will be done not only in heaven but also on earth (Matt. 6:10).

In Matt. 6 the Lord instructed His disciples how to pray; He didn’t say we should pray by repeating His word but, “pray in this way”, pray in this principle, according to this pattern.

Unfortunately, too many people simply recite the so-called “Lord’s prayer” without exercising to be in harmony with God’s will.

It’s not wrong to recite this prayer, but we need to touch God’s will and be one with Him when we pray in this way. Before we pray for our own things – such as our own needs – we need to pray for God’s need.

Father, may Your name be sanctified! The name of God is sanctified in the heaven, but on earth it is not; rather, the name of God is blasphemed on the earth.

God needs that His name would be sanctified, made holy, on earth. Your kingdom come – God’s kingdom is in heaven, but He wants His kingdom to come on earth to replace the satanic kingdom.

God needs us to pray for this need, that the kingdom of the world would become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ. Your will be done – God’s will is already done in heaven, but it has to be done on the earth.

We have said that God has a will for everything. Yet God does not act independently; He will not do anything by Himself. Even though God has a will, He wants the free will on earth to echo His will before He does anything. If there is only a will in heaven, God will not move. The heavenly move is accomplished on earth only when the earth wants the same thing as heaven. Today this is called the ministry of the church. Brothers and sisters, the ministry of the church is not only the preaching of the gospel. This does not mean that we should not preach the gospel; it means that the ministry of the church is not merely the preaching of the gospel. The ministry of the church is to bring the will in heaven to earth. Watchman Nee, The Prayer Ministry of the Church, ch. 1We are on earth; Satan is ruling over the earth from the air, and the church’s responsibility is to sanctify the Father’s name on earth, bring in His kingdom to the earth, and carry out His will on earth.

The responsibility of the church is to be in harmony with God’s will to sanctify the Father’s name, to allow His will to be carried out on earth, and to pray that His kingdom would come to the earth.

We can also pray for our legitimate needs, for God cares for our needs, but first we need to care for God’s need.

When we care for God’s need, all the other things will be added to us.

How much time do we spend praying for God’s need compared to the amount of time we pray for our need?

God listens to hundreds of millions of prayers from His people every day: how many of these have to do with God’s actual need?

This is why the Lord needs us in His recovery; He needs overcomers to pray in harmony with God’s will and pray for God’s need, working together with God to carry out His will.

Our Father who is in heaven, may Your name be sanctified on earth! Amen, Father, may Your name be made holy, uncommon, and distinct on earth as it is in heaven! May Your kingdom come on earth as it is in the heaven. We agree with You, Lord, and we join ourselves to You in praying that Your will be done on earth as it is in the heaven! Lord, we stand in the Body and one with You in ascension to pray that Your will be done on earth and Your kingdom would come on the earth! Amen, Lord Jesus, gain the cooperation You need from the church so that You may accomplish Your will through the church! Gain the harmony of wills – the human will agreeing with and echoing the divine will on earth in prayer, for God to carry out His will on earth as in heaven!

    – Every moment, every member, / Girded, waiting Thy command; / Underneath the yoke to labor / Or be laid aside as planned. / When restricted in pursuing, / No disquiet will beset; / Underneath Thy faithful dealing / Not a murmur or regret. (Hymns #403)
    – May our prayers expression give / To Thy Spirit’s mind alone; / Praying not by our desire, / But according to Thine own. / Though with temporal matters pressed, / Which we fain would bring to Thee, / Rather than Thy care to seek, / We would here Thy channel be. (Hymns #772)
    – In the stream! in the stream! let us work with the Lord / In the flow of the Spirit, as taught by His Word; / Never working by self, independent and free, / But in service related in full harmony. (Hymns #909)

I have been looking for this messsage
He started sharing it two weeks ago
It is a framework
It is how and why he does and does not move on our behalf
he has shown me much about this
It is very important
