We need to be Pure in Heart to See God, be Transformed and be Useful to Him in Service

Therefore whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Cor. 10:31

We need to be pure in heart, having the single goal of accomplishing God’s will for His glory, so that we may see God, that is, gain God and receive God to be constituted with God and be one with God.

As those in the process of being purified by the Lord and cooperating with His purifying work, we need to have our heart purified from any personal desires, selfish goals, and natural affections.

We do this by coming to the Word of God day by day and by allowing the Word to shine in us and expose us, and by agreeing with what the Word of God exposes in us.

Many times we are unfaithful to the Lord; we love Him and we love His word, but we also have other idols, other things besides the Lord that we run to and enjoy to be satisfied.

May we have a heart that is open to the Lord as we come to His word so that He would shine on us.

May we lift up our hand to the word of God, welcome the word, and even tremble at the Lord’s word.

The word of God is pure and holy, and the Word is like a two-edged sword, able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Heb. 4:12).

As we open to the Lord in His word, He shines, He exposes, and He purges things in our being, with our consent. We simply need to agree with the Spirit’s shining. T

here are many impurities within us; there is so much defilement in our being.

The practical way for us to deal with the defilement of the spirit (2 Cor. 7:1) is by dealing with the passage of the spirit, the coming out of our spirit.

Our spirit is pure and full of life, but when it comes out and is expressed, it passes through the soul and the heart, and it picks up what the soul is constituted with.

Sometimes we may be upset, and our spirit becomes an upset spirit; our intention is to impart life to others, but what they get is someone who is upset. Oh, Lord Jesus!

We need to be cleansed from all defilement of soul and of spirit.

We need to let the Lord shine and expose any impure motive or intention, and we need to let Him purge any mixture in our being.

Many times there’s something in us that we are oblivious to but everyone else is aware of.

We all have a blind spot of which we know nothing of. We live in ourselves and by ourselves so much that we think we’re alright, but actually, our heart and intentions are not pure, clean, and proper.

And others can see it, but we may not be able to. Even if they tell us, we may disagree with them and not want to take it into consideration; what we need is the Lord’s shining.

We need His exposing. When He shines on us, when He points out the impurities, defilement, and mixture in our being, we will simply agree with the light, and the Holy Spirit will remove those things.

May we have such experiences day by day so that the Lord would purify our inner being and we would cooperate with His purifying work.

We need to be Pure in Heart to See God and be Transformed into the Image of Christ

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Matt. 5:8

Those who are pure in heart will see God; blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God (Matt. 5:8).

What does it mean to be pure in heart? It is one thing to be sincere and honest, and it is something else to be pure.

To be pure in heart is to be single in purpose, that is, to have the single goal of accomplishing God’s will for God’s glory (1 Cor. 10:31).

Many Christians desire to accomplish God’s will, but they also seek their own glory.

Others want God to gain His glory, but they use their own means and do their own things, and in the end they say, This is all for the glory of God.

But flee youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Tim. 2:22 Surely God is good to Israel, / To those who are pure in heart. Psa. 73:1 But we all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit. 2 Cor. 3:18To be pure in heart, we need to be single in purpose; our unique purpose and goal should be to accomplish God’s will for Him to gain all the glory.

All that we do in word and in deed, we should do all things to the glory of God.

It is possible, however, to have another goal that is very close to God and even something that is of God but it is not God Himself.

We may have the goal of gaining an increase in the church life, and this is a good thing to desire; however, if our goal is not doing the will of God for His purpose, we are impure in our heart.

We may have the goal of having a proper service in the church and raising up our children in a proper way for the Lord, but if we don’t have the unique goal of doing the will of God for the glory of God, we don’t have a pure heart.

When others contact you, they sense that you love God and you want to do this and that for the Lord, but they also sense a certain tint, a certain smell, that is not of God but your own personal goal and desire. Oh, Lord.

We need to be purified so that we may have a pure heart and be single in purpose.

A pure heart is a heart that takes the Lord as the unique goal (1 Tim. 1:5; 2 Tim. 2:22; Psa. 73:1).

If we are pure in heart, we will see God; to see God is to gain God and be filled with God.

Seeing God equals gaining God, that is, receiving God in His element, life, and nature so that we may be constituted with God.

When we see God, we are being transformed into the glorious image of Christ (2 Cor. 3:18).

If we are pure in heart, we will see God and we will be transformed into the image of Christ.

When we are pure in heart, we will see God, and we will receive His element into us; our old element will be discharged, and we will reflect God, being transformed into His glorious image.

When we look at the Lord with an unveiled face, having a heart that is turned to Him and is also pure, we will be infused with what He is, and as we behold Him, we also reflect Him.

Something of God is infused into us when we see God; He is infusing His element into us, and something of us is being discharged, dislodged, from within us.

We may think, however, that we can’t see God if we’re not pure in heart; we should not wait until we’re pure in heart to behold God but rather, come to Him as we are.

As we come to the Lord as we are, though we may not be pure in heart, we will be under His shining, we will confess our sins and trespasses, and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from every sin. And we can behold His face to be infused with Him.

As we repent and confess our sins before the Lord under His shining, we simply behold Him and reflect Him.

Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and we are. Because of this the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not yet been manifested what we will be. We know that if He is manifested, we will be like Him because we will see Him even as He is. And everyone who has this hope set on Him purifies himself, even as He is pure. 1 John 3:1-3The veil is taken away, and we are transformed into His image.

The more we are infused with the Lord’s element, the more pure we become.

The more pure we become, the more we see God.

May we just come to the Lord and open to Him without any reservation so that we may be pure in heart and see God to be transformed into the image of Christ.

To see God is to be transformed into the glorious image of Christ, the God-man, so that we may express God in His life and represent Him with His authority (1 John 3:1-3; Gen. 1:26).

We were created in the image of God and according to His likeness, and we will be like Him when we see Him, for we will see Him as He is.

So we are now in this process of being purified, for we know that, when we see Him, we will be like Him.

May we remain in the process of being purified in our heart so that we may be pure even as He is pure.

That One, Christ, is pure; when we behold Him, we are purified, and when we remain in His presence, our heart becomes pure.

May we not be those who will see the Lord and He says, I never knew you, depart from Me; may we be those who are daily beholding the Lord to be transformed into His image.

Lord Jesus, we come to You as we are. We are not pure in heart, but we open to You. Shine on us. Shine in our being. Expose any defilement, mixture, and sin in us. We confess what You expose in Your light. We agree with Your light. Oh Lord, wash us and cleanse us. Purify our heart. We want to be pure in heart so that we may see God. Amen, Lord, we want to see God so that we may be transformed into the glorious image of Christ. Make our heart pure. Purify our intentions, our desires, our thoughts, and our decisions. We exercise our spirit and we come to You with an unveiled face to behold You and reflect You. May we be transformed into the same image as You are. Amen, Lord, it is our hope that, when we see You, we will be like You! We aspire to this and we are purified in our heart to be as pure as You are! Amen, blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God!

Having the Aspiration to be Useful in God’s Hand and being Pure in Heart in Serving God

I had heard of You by the hearing of the ear, / But now my eye has seen You. Job 42:5 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Matt. 5:8 And they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. Rev. 22:4One of the biggest problems in the church is that there are some who have the ambition to do something for God, and they may also have the capacity to do it, but their motive is not proper; they are not pure in heart.

The reason there are so many Christian groups, sects, and “churches” is because their founder wants to do something for God, they see something in the Word of God, and they have the capacity to do it; however, their heart is not pure but rather, they want to have their own “thing” going on.

The same thing happens in the world. In a certain country, there may be someone who has the ambition to do a particular good thing for his country, and he may also have the capacity to do it.

However, if his heart is not proper, he will bring in damage to his country.

If his heart is proper and his intention is pure, he will bring great benefit to his country, but if his heart is not right, there is much damage. Oh, Lord.

We need to have the ambition, the aspiration, to be useful in God’s hand, and we also need to be pure in heart in serving God.

May we have a proper ambition to be useful in the Lord’s hand, and may we look to the Lord for the capacity to do it as well as a pure motive.

Simply having a burden to do something and having the capacity or means to do it is not enough; we need to be pure in our intention and motive.

Otherwise, if our heart is not pure, if we’re not pure in our intention and aim, sooner or later we will become a problem.

Oh, may the Lord be merciful to us! May we meet the Lord every day and be purified in our heart to see Him!

Like Job, we may do all things right and we may be even ready to “take God to court” concerning the things that are happening to us; but once we see God, we abhor ourselves and we simply allow Him to do what He wants to do in us.

When we are pure in heart, we will see God, and we will be one with God.

Even more, we will be constituted with God and we will become part of God – not in His Godhead but in being His expression on the earth.

Those who are pure in heart see God, and God infuses Himself into them to constitute them with Himself; they become one with God and they express God.

Eventually, all of God’s redeemed, regenerated, sanctified, transformed, conformed, and glorified people will see God’s face for eternity (Rev. 22:4).

However, today in the church age, only those who are pure in heart will see God.

May we come to Him with all our desires, intentions, ambitions, and aspirations, and may we spend time with the Lord so that He would purify us.

All God’s redeemed, regenerated, sanctified, transformed, conformed, and glorified people will see God’s face (Rev. 22:4). Seeing God transforms us (2 Cor. 3:18), because in seeing God we receive His element into us. As we receive God, a new element comes into us, and the old element is discharged. This metabolic process is transformation. To see God is to be transformed into the glorious image of God. This makes us a part of God that we may express God in His life and represent Him in His authority. Job said not only that he saw God but also that he abhorred himself. According to our experience, the more we see God and love God, the more we abhor ourselves. The more we know God, the more we deny ourselves. Life-study of Job, pp. 157-158, by Witness LeeWe need to be purified in our intentions, ambitions, aspirations, decisions, and thoughts.

We are purified simply by being before the Lord and being in His word.

Seeing God will transform us, for His new element will be infused into us and our old element will be discharged.

Seeing God will cause us to abhor ourselves and repent; we will realize how tainted is our best intention to serve God, and we will see how much we are in and for ourselves.

We should be pure in heart and single for the Lord’s recovery; only then will we be a help to the recovery (1 Tim. 1:5; 2 Tim. 2:22; 1 Pet. 1:22).

May we all have the aspiration to be useful to the Lord as our Master, and may we allow the Lord to purify our intention and desire.

As we grow in the Lord and advance with Him in the church life, there are many opportunities to serve the Lord in certain areas; in our service to the Lord, we need to be pure in heart so that God would gain all the glory. We need to be careful.

Our impurity will disqualify us. Impureness is a killer of our function. The first victim is ourselves, for if we are impure, we ourselves will be damaged. Oh, Lord.

May the Lord have mercy on us in this matter and take us on with Him, and may we allow Him to purify our heart daily in our time with Him so that we may be useful to Him in our service to God.

Lord Jesus, we aspire to serve You and be useful in Your hand. We see Your eternal economy and we realize what is Your great need. We open to You, Lord. Cleanse us and purify us. Grant us to have a holy aspiration to be useful in God’s hand. Grant us to have a pure heart in serving the Lord. Save us from serving God with an impure motive or a personal ambition for a position. We desire to be useful in Your hand so that You may gain all the glory. Keep us in Your presence, beholding You and reflecting You so that we may be transformed into Your image. Oh Lord, the more we see You, the more we abhor ourselves. We deny ourselves and we allow You to work Yourself into us. Amen, Lord, grant us to be useful to the Master and have a proper heart in serving the Lord so that You may gain all the glory!

During the past few decades, the problem among us has been that some have the ambition, but they do not have the capacity. If a man does not have the capacity to reach the goal of his ambition, he will be like a disgraced politician.

Whether in the church or the work, the problem lies in this point. In addition to capacity, there must also be the proper heart.

We should be pure in our heart and single for the Lord’s recovery.

Only then will we be a help to the recovery. This is like a person engaged in world government. If he has the ambition and the ability to do something for his nation and his people, and if his motive is pure, he can become a hero to the nation and a savior to his people.

But if he has the ambition and the ability yet lacks a pure motive, he will become a problem. The same principle can be seen in the Lord’s recovery.

I encourage you young ones to have ambition. But we still have to look to the Lord to give us the capacity as well as a pure motive.

Only when we have all three can we become useful in the hands of the Lord. Otherwise, sooner or later we will become a problem. May the Lord be merciful to us.

We need to be pure in heart so that we may see God and be transformed into the glorious image of Christ. But we’re so impure and tainted in our heart!

So we need to spend time with the Lord, opening to Him and allowing Him to shine on us, expose us, and make us one with Him.

How much we need to take time to behold Him and be infused with Him!

Lord, we open to You! Purify our heart. Make us pure in our intention and aim. We want to be useful to the Lord in service, and we want to have a proper heart. Oh Lord, may we see God, gain God, and be transformed in the image of Christ!

Yes, Lord, make us those who are pure in heart and single in purpose to accomplish God’s will and glory.

We want to gain God and receive His element, life, and nature so that we may be constituted with God and receive His element into us, and our old element is discharged.

We are privileged not only to see God, but also to be like Him in life and nature.

To be what we are supposed to be, our motive, capacity and pure heart are mandatory.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

We should pray that God would grant us three things: an ambition to please the Lord, the capacity to serve Him, and a pure motive that loves only Him.

To be pure in heart is to have the single goal of accomplishing God’s will for His glory. If we are pure in heart, we shall see God, meaning we shall gain God in His element, life & nature.

To see God is to be transformed into the glorious image of God.

May the Lord be merciful to us and cause us to know Him so that we would deny ourselves and live only for Him.

Amen and amen. Purge us and purify us dear Lord.

If we are to be a help, useful in the Lord’s recovery we must be pure in heart, with God Himself as our unique goal.

Only those who are pure in heart will see God, that is gain God and receive His element into us to discharge the negative things.

For this we need to behold Him with an unveiled face to reflect Him, being transformed and to pursue Him with those who are also pure in heart.

O Lord save us from any ambition in the church life, even with any capacity or ability we have, without a pure motive! Lord continue to purify our heart, conscience and spirit so we would gain You more today!

Ameeen!!!

In the Lord’s recovery we need to have the proper ambition to be useful for the building up of the church.

We also need to look to the Lord to give us the capacity and even enlarge our capacity and to purify our motive.

Then we will be useful and a blessing to the church.

Lord cause our spirit to be open and for our heart to be pure. We desire to be single in purpose for the accomplishing of Your will for Your glory.

May we keep gaining You, experiencing and enjoying You.

Transform us. Make us not only one with You but a part of You. Amen.

(Fn.”pure”, cf.Psa. 24:4; Prov. 22:11; 2 Tim. 2:22)
*To be “pure in heart” is to be single in purpose, to have the single goal of accomplishing God’s will for God’s glory (1 Cor. 10:31). This is for the kingdom of the heavens. Our “spirit is the organ”, by which, We receive Christ (John 1:12; 3:6), whereas, our “heart is the ground” where “Christ as the seed of life grows”. (13:19) For the kingdom of the heavens, We need to be poor in spirit, empty in our spirit, that we may receive Christ. Also, we need to be pure, single, in our heart that Christ may grow in us without frustration.

(Fn.”see”, cf.- Job 42:5; Psa. 17:15; 1 John 3:2-3)
*If we are pure in heart in seeking God, we will see God. Seeing God is a reward to the pure in heart. This blessing is both for today and for the coming age.
