The Relationship God desires to have with man is that God and Man become One!

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit. 1 Cor. 6:17

The Bible reveals that the relationship God desires to have with man is that God and man become one; He wants to be one with man and make man one with God for Him to gain an organism, the Body of Christ, to express Him on earth. Amen!

This week in our morning revival we come to the topic of, Grafted into Christ to Become Part of the Tree of life. Praise the Lord for the tree of life!

It is so wonderful to see that the Bible presents us the divine life first as a tree – the tree of life, even the tree of God.

The life of God is mysterious and abstract, but a tree is substantial, solid, and tangible.

The life of God is presented at the beginning of the Bible as a tree, something that we can eat, partake of, and even more, we can abide in this tree, and we can even become part of this tree. Wow!

God doesn’t want us to merely worship Him and fear Him, and His intention is not merely that we respect God and His law.

What He desires is to impart Himself into us as life by our eating of Him as the tree of life so that we can be one with Him and He would be one with us organically.

This oneness is not something outward, something of doctrine, or something of teaching or ideology; it is a oneness in spirit – “He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.” (1 Cor. 6:17). Hallelujah!

How can we become one with the Lord? It is by our eating Him as the tree of life.

The more we eat the Lord as the tree of life, the more He dispenses Himself into our being and constitutes us to be the same as He is in life and nature but not in the Godhead. Oh Lord Jesus!

And this week we want to see that we not only can eat of the tree of life but also be grafted into the tree of life to become part of the tree of life.

We are what we eat; this is what nutritionists say, and this is a principle in nature.

If we eat the tree of life, we become persons of life, and we even become part of the tree of life.

This is a tremendous matter, and it is very organic; it is not organizational or outward but inward and organic. Hallelujah! The line of the tree of life is so simple yet so profound, for it is related to life.

The more we eat the Lord as the tree of life, the more He becomes our constitution, and the issue is that we become part of the tree of life to express Him as life and minister Him as life to others.

We need to see what it means for us to become part of the tree of life, even to become the tree of life in Christ. May the Lord unveil us to see this!

The Relationship God Desires to have with man is that God and Man become One: God wants to be One with Man!

In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. John 14:20

The Bible reveals to us that the relationship that He desires to have with man is that God and man become one, that is, that God is one with man and man is one with God (1 Cor. 6:17).

The Bible reveals God’s relationship with man in many levels. The most basic level is that He is the Creator and we are the creatures, the created ones.

Also, He is the Savior, the Redeemer, and we are the redeemed ones. These are somewhat objective, but there are deeper levels of our relationship with God.

We also see that God is our Husband and we are His spouse, His counterpart, His wife.

Romans reveals that God is the content, the treasure, and we are the vessel.

Being diligent to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the uniting bond of peace: One Body and one Spirit, even as also you were called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism; One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Eph. 4:3-6God’s relationship with man is very rich and in many aspects, for He wants not only to be worshipped by us outwardly or feared by us as the Creator – He wants us to be involved with us, to be related to us.

The most subjective, organic, and intrinsic relationship the New Testament reveals to us is that He is the vine and we are the branches, and that He is the Head and we are the Body.

These two relationships reveal to us something very organic and intrinsic, for God wants that God and man become one, so that God is one with man and man is one with God, with no difference or distinction.

He is the vine, and we are the branches; we are not only creatures of God but even more, He is the vine and we are the branches, and the branches are just the vine and the vine is the branches.

How are we connected to God? It is an organic way, in an intrinsic way. God desires to have a relationship of oneness with man; He wants God and man to be one.

This must be a controlling vision to us. Even as we are learning to enjoy Christ as the tree of life, we need to be controlled by this vision: God wants to be one with us.

He doesn’t want only to nourish us, feed us, and give us some satisfaction; He wants to be one with man.

Whenever we come to the Bible, we need to exercise one principle – the principle that God desires to be one with His chosen people (John 14:20).

Millions of people read the Bible every day, but they read it with their own glasses; each one reads the Bible through his own understanding and mentality as if he puts on coloured glasses.

Some understand that the Bible tells us God’s commandments and gives us good teachings on how to fear God, worship God and even work for God and please Him.

They read that God is the supreme One and we are the little ones on earth, so they try to come to the Bible to learn how to please God and how to behave themselves in a proper way.

The Bible reveals one central matter: He wants to be one with man.

God is not trying to improve us or give us something, nor is He just caring for our welfare; He wants to be one with us and make us one with Him. Hallelujah!

If we realize this, if we read the Bible with this view, the whole Bible will become a new book to us.

The Bible is not a book on religion, neither is it a religious book; the Bible is a book revealing how God becomes one with man and how He makes man one with God.

Whenever we come to the Bible we need to exercise this principle, that God desires to be one with man, even one with us.

God’s main purpose is to make us one with man and to make man one with Him (Eph. 4:4-6).

He created man not according to man’s kind but in the image of God and according to the likeness of God.

In God’s economy, God has only one intention — to gain an organism for Himself. In eternity past God decided to do one thing in His economy — to create for Himself an organism, the Body of Christ. He created the universe and man for this purpose. Then man became fallen, but God promised man that He would come through a woman to be a man, to join Himself with man, and to become one with man (Gen. 3:15). Eventually, He became a man and lived a life on this earth to show people the life of a God-man. Afterward, He went to the cross and died not only for our sins but also to deal with every problem in the universe. Then He was resurrected. In His incarnation He brought God into man, and in His resurrection He brought man into God so that God and man could be one. Life-study of the Psalms, pp. 207-208, by Witness LeeMan has God’s image and likeness. Man is after God’s kind.

After He created man, God brought this man into the garden of Eden before the tree of life, which signifies God Himself in an edible form.

Then, at the end of the Bible, we don’t see that man will bow down to God and worship God after being saved; rather, Rev. 22:17 says that the Spirit and the bride speak in oneness.

The One who spoke in Genesis was just God, the Creator, but the One who speaks many thousands of years later is the Spirit and the Bride – the consummation of the Triune God and the consummation of the tripartite man. Hallelujah!

And in Eph. 4:4-6 we are told that there is one Body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God who is Father of all and who is through all, over all, and in all.

Why doesn’t it say that there’s one God, Lord, faith, etc, but the word “one” is mentioned again and again? One of the reasons must be that oneness is very important; God wants to be one with man and man to be one with God.

We need to keep the oneness of the Spirit, which is accomplished by these seven one’s here. Hallelujah!

Man is joined to the Triune God by faith and baptism, and man is organically one with God; now we have the hope of glory, which is God in man and man in God being joined, mingled, and blended together. Hallelujah!

Lord Jesus, change our concept concerning what the Bible says so that we realize that God desires to be one with man and man be one with God! Hallelujah, the relationship God desires to have with us is that He and us become one! Praise the Lord, we believers in Christ who are joined to the Lord are one spirit! Hallelujah, there is one Body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one Father! We are one with God and God is one with us! Amen, Lord, impress us with Your heart’s desire so that we may see this oneness and abide in this oneness! Keep us living in the mingled spirit today, one with You in all things!

God Desires that the Divine Life and the Human Life are Joined to become One Life: He becomes us and We Become Him!

For that which the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending His own Son in the likeness of the flesh of sin and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh. Rom. 8:3 Concerning His Son, who came out of the seed of David according to the flesh, Who was designated the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness out of the resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom. 1:3-4What the Bible reveals is that God’s desire is for the divine life and the human life to be joined to become one life.

God’s interest is not in angels or cherubim; His interest lies with man, with human beings. Yes, human life is full of weakness and fragility and limitation, but God desires to have the divine life fill, saturate, and be one with the human life.

He wants to join with the human life and these two lives become one life. Wow!

On one hand, He loves the world so much, He loves man so much, that He gave Himself up for man so that man would believe into Him and receive eternal life (John 3:16).

On the other hand, He gave Himself for man so that man would become one with Him and be mingled with Him.

This is the mystery of the universe and the central focus of the whole Bible.

The central line of God’s economy is to make God and man, man and God, one entity, with the two having one living by one life with one nature (Rev. 22:17).

For this, God went through a process; in His incarnation, Christ brought into man, and in His resurrection, He brought man into God (Rom. 8:3; 1:3-4). Wow!

On one hand, God is almighty, omniscient, and omnipotent, and He is high above the heavens, not needing anything or anyone for His existence or living.

On the other hand, the Bible reveals that God has a heart’s desire, which is to be one with man.

How can such a high, lofty, and holy God be mingled with man and be one with man?

He has to go through a process: He has to become the same as man, even to become a man.

The greatest event in human history happened two thousand years ago when God became man; this is not the “story of Christmas” or the story of how a Savior was born to redeem man.

This is the story of God becoming man, divinity entering humanity, and God being brought into man.

God became a man to be like us, lived on earth for thirty-three and a half years, and was raised up in a poor carpenter’s home.

Outwardly He had no beautiful countenance for us to behold, for He was a man of sorrow. But inwardly He had the God of glory.

Through incarnation, Christ brought God into man, and then through death and resurrection, he brought man into God.

Through His crucifixion, He brought all the negative things to the cross to terminate them there, and in resurrection He became a life-giving Spirit.

When He resurrected, He didn’t just resurrect as God but also as a man! He didn’t put humanity aside – He brought the human nature which He put on in incarnation and brought it into God.

This is the One that Stephen saw as he was being stoned to death: he saw the Son of man standing in the glory.

Hallelujah, right now there is a man in the glory, and humanity was brought into God!

Since therefore the children have shared in blood and flesh, He also Himself in like manner partook of the same, that through death He might destroy him who has the might of death, that is, the devil...For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of One, for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brothers. Heb. 2:14, 11 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let him who hears say, Come! And let him who is thirsty come; let him who wills take the water of life freely. Rev. 22:17Through the process of incarnation, divinity was brought into humanity, and through the process of resurrection, humanity was brought into divinity!

Christ is the first God-man, the first man who was brought into God, to be the prototype, and we are the many God-men as His reproduction.

We are in Christ and He is in us; He and we have become one person.

We are in Christ and He is in us, and our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. He is in us and we are in Him.

Christ has become us and we have become Him (Heb. 2:14, 11). This is amazing.

This is what God wants, and this is what He is obtaining through the process of God’s organic salvation.

Even more, He needs us to be His living and we need Him to express Him. Christ cannot live without us, and we cannot live without Him; we are in an intimate, organic union.

We need Christ and He needs us. God became man and man is becoming God, and the two have one life and one living. Hallelujah!

If we see this, if we realize what is God’s intention and what He is working to obtain, we will stop our struggle, our trying, and our striving to please God or do what the Bible tells us we should do; we will simply enjoy Christ, remain in the organic union with Him, and love Him!

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus, for becoming a man to bring God into man. Thank You for going through the processes of incarnation, human living, death, and resurrection to bring God into man and bring man into God. Wow, now there is a Man in the glory, for Christ resurrected His human part and brought it into divinity! Hallelujah, we believers in Christ are men mingled with God, men in God, men one with God! Christ is in us and we are in Him – we and Him are one organically! Hallelujah, Christ has become us and we are becoming Him! Wow, Lord, what an amazing destiny we have, to be one with God for eternity! Keep us in this organic union with You today. Yes, Lord, we need You and You need us, and in the organic union we are becoming You even as You are becoming us!

We should keep the principle that the Word of God as the divine revelation shows us that God’s main purpose is to make Himself one with man and to make man one with Him. In John 15 the Lord said, “I am the vine; you are the branches… Abide in Me and I in you” (vv. 5, 4). This shows us that God and the believers in Christ are one. We and God were once separate, but one day we, the wild branches, were grafted into Him in Christ (Rom. 11:24). We have been grafted into Christ as the tree, and this grafting has made us one with Him. What is needed now is for us to abide in Him that He may abide in us. Then He and we will be one, having one life, one nature, and one living. Life-study of the Psalms, pp. 200-201, by Witness Lee

Wow, the relationship God wants to have with man is that He and man become one! He wants to make Himself one with us and make us one with Him. Through incarnation, Christ brought God into man, and in His resurrection He brought man into God. Now we are IN CHRIST and Christ is in us! Christ has become us and we have become Him! Wow!

Lord, keep us in this organic union with You today!

As Christians we need to see the revelation that God’s intention in His economy through incarnation and resurrection is to make Himself one with man and man with one with Him, the ultimate consummation of which is the New Jerusalem.

We are not here merely to fear God, trust in God, worship Him and do good!

We have been joined to the Lord to be one spirit with Him in such a mutual abiding so that He and we, we and He have one life and one living as grafted branches of the vine tree!

God desires to be one with man and man one with Him – HALLELUJAH!

Hallelujah brother! Because we were created in God’s image and according to His likeness, Christ and we may become one in practically & reality.

One kind of life can only be grafted into the same kind of life, and the richer life will always affect the poorer life.

Jesus swallows up our defects, He uplifts our humanity including our mind, emotions & will, and eventually our very body and all our virtues

Yes, indeed. The main purpose of God is to dispense Himself into man. That is the reason Jesus passed through all processes from incarnation to ascension.

Therefore, we are His vessels to contain Himself. In other words, He is in us and we are in Him.Mutual abiding. We are the same us Him, except the HEAD.
