Being Seated with Christ in the Heavenlies, we Stand in His Victory and Withstand the Devil

And raised us up together with Him and seated us together with Him in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus. Eph. 2:6 - article on, Being Seated with Christ in the Heavenlies, we Stand in His Victory and Withstand the Devil

We must exercise our spirit of faith to believe that the Lord’s ascension put Him far above the power of Satan, therefore we can withstand the devil by standing in the victory of Christ and declaring the accomplished work of the Lord. Hallelujah!

We are believers in Christ, and we are such ones not because we are more special than others but simply because He has infused Himself into us to be our believing ability.

All genuine Christians are believers in Christ, and we have a spirit of faith; doubts are in our mind but faith is in our spirit.

Therefore, we need to exercise our spirit every day and throughout the day to contact the Lord and believe in His promises in His word.

Our faith is based not merely on some things that the Lord spoke to us directly; our faith is based on the holy Word of God, on the holy promises of God covenanted to us in His holy Word.

Christ has accomplished so many things, and all that He is and has accomplished is now a will, a testament, for us to enjoy and experience.

Through His death, He enacted the new covenant, and in His resurrection, this new covenant has become a new testament.

Everything that the New Testament says is something bequeathed to us by God to be our inheritance, our possession, our enjoyment, and our experience. We only need to exercise our spirit of faith to believe in the divine facts in the Word of God.

Everything that God says in His word is true and is a promise to us; He does everything in us and for us, and we simply need to say Amen to His word.

What the Bible reveals is that God is love; we must exercise our spirit of faith to believe in the fact that God is love.

By means of our spirit of faith, we can apprehend, enjoy, and partake of God as love.

Also, through the exercise of our spirit, we believe that God’s grace is sufficient for us, He is able to save us to the uttermost, we are one with Him in spirit, we are God’s children and heirs, we have been made full in Christ, and we are the temple of the living God.

All these are facts in the word of God; they are divine facts, and we need to exercise our spirit of faith to appropriate them and enter into their enjoyment by faith.

On one hand, the holy, divine, wonderful facts of God are in the word of God, and they are our inheritance.

On the other hand, we have a subjective faith in our spirit, for our mingled spirit is a spirit of faith.

The Bible is not merely something to be read and understood with our mind; the Bible is for us to enjoy and enter into by means of the exercise of our spirit of faith. Hallelujah!

We Exercise our Spirit of Faith to Believe that Christ was Raised above All things and We are Raised with Him and Seated with Him in the Heavenlies

Which He caused to operate in Christ in raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His right hand in the heavenlies, Far above all rule and authority and power and lordship and every name that is named not only in this age but also in that which is to come. Eph. 1:20-21God caused His divine power to operate in Christ in raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His right hand in the heavenlies, far above all rule and authority and power and lordship and every name that is named not only in this age but also in that which is to come (Eph. 1:20-21).

This is a divine fact in the word of God. Eph. 2:6 also states that we have been raised together with Him and seated with Him in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!

No matter how we feel right now, no matter what our condition is at this moment, and no matter what is going on around us today, our position is in Christ in the heavenlies.

The Lord Jesus has been resurrected and ascended; He has been seated above all things, in the heavenlies, far above all the power of Satan.

And we are seated with Him in the heavenlies.

Our position as Christians is in the heavenlies, seated together with Christ, far above all rule and authorities and powers; we are one with Christ, even in Christ.

We must exercise our spirit of faith to believe not only that Christ was raised above all things but also that we have been raised with Him and we were seated with Him in the heavenlies.

We are seated with the Lord in the heavenlies, and Eph. 6 tells us that we simply need to stand firm.

In spiritual warfare, we are seated with Christ and we need to stand firm; we don’t need to fight for victory, nor do we need to attack – we simply need to rest and stand.

To sit means that we rest; it means that the Lord has overcome already, He has won the victory, and we simply rest in His victory.

To stand means that we don’t need to attack: we simply need to defend, stand, and remain in the victory that the Lord has already won. Hallelujah!

Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the stratagems of the devil...Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Eph. 6:11, 13If we see that the Lord has been raised and seated on the throne far above all things, and if we realize that we are seated with Him in ascension, we will simply praise the Lord, rest in Him, and stand in His victory.

God operated in Christ with power to raise Him from the dead and seat Him at His right hand in the heavenlies, and He subjected all things under His feet and gave Him to be Head over all things to the church (Eph. 1:22).

We, the church, are under Christ, the Head, and we are continually receiving and enjoying all that He is, all that He has done, and all that He has accomplished.

He is our victorious Head and we are the Body standing in His victory, one with Him in His ascension.

Yes, the power of Satan is still here on earth, operating in us and around us, and yes, the satanic chaos is happening as we speak.

But our eyes are not set on what’s going on around us: we look away unto Jesus and we are one with Him, seated with Him in the heavenlies!

Where He is, there we are, and what He has accomplished, we partake of and enjoy for our experience!

We don’t need to do anything to gain the victory, nor do we need to fight hard to obtain the victory over the enemy; we simply need to sit and rest with Him, and we need to stand in His victory, for we are one with Him in the heavenlies!

Lord Jesus, we praise You for what You are and for what You have done and accomplished. Hallelujah, God raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies, far above all rule, power, authority, and lordship! Jesus Christ is Lord! He is enthroned in the heavenlies, one with the Father, seated on the throne of God, and all things are under His feet! Amen, Lord, we praise You for having all things subjected under Your feet. Hallelujah, Satan and all his power, and man with all his things and authorities are under Christ, the Head! And He is Head over all things to the church! Praise the Lord, we believers in Christ are seated with Christ in the heavenlies, and we simply need to stand in the victory of Christ! Praise the Lord Jesus Christ, the Head, the Lord, the Ruler, and the Victor!

We can Withstand the Devil by Standing in the Victory of Christ and Declaring the Accomplished Work of Jesus

And He subjected all things under His feet and gave Him [to be] Head over all things to the church. Eph. 1:22

How can we withstand the devil, so that he would flee from us?

As believers in Christ and members of the church, the Body of Christ, we are in continual spiritual warfare; this warfare is not for us to gain the victory but for us to stand in Christ’s victory and proclaim His victory.

Christian warfare is not for us to gain the victory; the victory has been won already, for Christ destroyed the devil on the cross, He put the enemy to shame through His resurrection, and He is enthroned far above all the power of Satan in His ascension.

And we are one with Him; in this oneness with Him, we can withstand the devil!

Today Satan tempts us by causing us to forget our position and our victory; he is working to cause us to shift our view from the victory we stand in and look at our condition or situation.

He who overcomes, to him I will give to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat with My Father on His throne. Rev. 3:21 And she brought forth a son, a man-child, who is to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne. Rev. 12:5We need to realize that we have already overcome, for we are in the Overcomer, one with Him, standing in His victory.

We fight from the position of victory and we fight to maintain our victory.

Victory is ours; we don’t need to fight to get it.

When we realize and stand in the position that we have in Christ, we stand in His victory, we maintain our victory, we declare His victory, and Satan is defeated.

He wants to blind our eyes to our own victory and to cause us to forget our position and our victory.

But we exercise our spirit of faith to believe in what the Lord has already done for us and in us, and we stand one with the Lord in His victory.

Once we believe in the Lord and in the things He has accomplished, Satan is defeated, and the Lord’s victory is exercised and applied.

But if we allow Satan to seal away our victory and to take off our position in the heavenlies, we are automatically defeated.

We need to withstand the devil by standing in the position of Christ’s victory and declaring His accomplished work.

We counter the work of Satan with the work of the Lord Jesus, the One who has destroyed the works of the devil, has destroyed the devil himself through His death, and has put the enemy to shame in His victory.

We need to declare the accomplished facts in the word of God and exercise our spirit of faith to believe them, and Satan will be defeated and will flee from us.

As believers in Christ, we stand not in ourselves, our accomplishments, our attainments, or even in our love and zeal for the Lord.

We stand in the Lord, in His victory, and in what He has accomplished and attained.

And we declare to the enemy that the Lord has overcome him and we are in Christ.

We do not fight to overcome – we don’t even think about gaining the victory, for the victory is ours already.

We fight to maintain Christ’s victory and we declare His victory over the enemy.

Such a matter needs revelation; we need to see that the Lord Jesus was manifested to destroy the works of the devil and that in His death He destroyed the devil who has the might of death.

We must exercise our spirit of faith to believe that the victory of the Lord is complete and that our whole life is included in this victory; we must see that we have already overcome and that we fight from a position of victory in order to maintain our victory; we can overcome because we are all included in the Lord as the leading Overcomer; He is the Head, center, reality, life, and nature of the man-child, and the man-child as the following overcomers is the Lord’s Body — Rev. 3:21; 12:5. 2022 spring ITERO, outline 2We need to see what He has accomplished in His incarnation, human living, death, resurrection, and ascension, and we need to know these things and stand on the divine facts in God’s word.

All believers in Christ need to learn to withstand the devil and declare the accomplished facts of the work of Christ.

And we do this by the exercise of our spirit of faith.

May the Lord be gracious to us that we may have such a faith, and may we learn to exercise our spirit of faith to believe in the accomplished work of Christ, stand in the victory of Christ, and withstand the devil and reject his work upon us.

We must exercise our spirit of faith to believe that the victory of the Lord Jesus is complete and that our whole life is included in this victory.

We must see that we have already overcome and that we fight from a position of victory in order to maintain our victory!

We can overcome not in ourselves but because we are all included in the Lord as the leading Overcomer!

Hallelujah, Christ is the Head, the center, the reality, the life, and the nature of the man-child, and the man-child as the following overcomers is the Lord’s Body (Rev. 3:21; 12:5)!

Lord Jesus, grant us to have a revelation of what You have accomplished in Your incarnation, human living, death, resurrection, and ascension. May we realize that Christ has been manifested to destroy the works of the devil and that, in His death, He has destroyed the devil himself! Hallelujah, in His resurrection, Christ put the devil to shame, and in His ascension, He was seated by God far above all things! Lord, we exercise our spirit of faith to believe that the victory of the Lord is complete and that our whole life is included in this victory! Praise the Lord, we have already overcome and our spiritual fight is from the position of victory in order to maintain our victory! Hallelujah, we can overcome because we believers are all included in the Lord as the leading Overcomer!

Therefore, we counter the work of Satan with the work of the Lord Jesus. We withstand Satan through the Lord’s manifestation, death, resurrection, and ascension. We are standing today upon the accomplished work of the Lord. We do not need to try to overcome in any way when Satan attacks us. Once we have the slightest thought of trying to overcome, we have failed, because our position is wrong. How great is the difference between a person who tries to overcome and one who withstands by knowing that he has already overcome. To withstand the devil means that we withstand him by the victory of Christ. This matter indeed needs revelation. We need to see the manifestation of the Lord. We need to see His death, resurrection, and ascension. We need to know all these things. As Christians, we must learn to withstand the devil… May God be gracious to us so that we may all have such a faith. May we have faith toward the four things the Lord has accomplished for us, and may we exercise strong faith to withstand Satan and reject his work upon us. Praise the Lord for His victory! Brother, we need to see that on one hand we are seated with Christ in the heavenlies and that on the other hand we are standing firm with Christ in His victory. Eph 2:6; 6:11,13,14.

Today we are resting with our Dear Lord, who has overcome and won the victory. And we are standing firm to maintain His victory by withstanding the enemies (the losers) attacks.

The Lord accomplished this in four ways, through His manifestation, death, resurrection and ascension!!! Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! We are seated together with Christ in the heavenlies! The Lord has overcome and we are resting in His victory! Hallelujah!

On the one hand we are resting! No need for further attack! To sit is to rest in the Lord’s victory.

On the other hand we withstand Satan and stop him from taking away our victory, by not forgetting our position and realising that the victory of the Lord is complete. Hallelujah!

As believers we have to rest in Christ’s victory and to stand against the devil’s tactics to draw us away from the position of victory which Christ Jesus accomplished for us. He is the leading overcomer, the one seated in the heavenlies, having resurrected and ascended and who is seated there far above all rule, authority and power.

And according to Ephesians 2:6 we too are seated with Him! Hallelujah!

So our responsibility is to maintain such a position – learning to withstand the devil in seeing – by the spirit of faith – that because He overcame we are already overcomers!

Praise our Lord and Christ!

Hallelujah brother! The ascension of the Lord put Him far above the power of Satan, and we were raised up together with Christ and are seated together with Him in the heavenlies, far above all the power of Satan.

We fight by believing and through Jesus’ manifestation, death, resurrection & ascension.

May the Lord grace us with the sight to see that we should fight from the position of victory…
