Show Mercy to Others & Receive the Lord’s Mercy, Trust in God and His Marvelous Mercy

But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. Rom. 14:10

Our attitude toward others in the world and in the church life should be one of mercy, for we trust not in ourselves but trust in God’s mercy, we worship God for His mercy, and mercy triumphs over judgment; the judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy.

Oh Lord, thank You for having mercy on us! Thank You for being our merciful God! It is Your mercy that we come to You day by day. It is a mercy for us to enjoy the all-inclusive Christ as our allotted portion. May we be merciful today, expressing You as mercy toward others! Amen, Lord, blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy! Amen!

This week we have been enjoying the blessing of being a merciful person, for the merciful shall be shown mercy and receive mercy. God is merciful toward us.

He has mercy on whomever He will have mercy; so then it is not of him who wills nor of him who runs but of God who shows mercy.

The most far-reaching attribute of God is His mercy; mercy goes farther than grace and love. We think that, if we will and run, if we really want something and do things to get it, we will get it; in the spirit realm, however, it is not like this.

It is all of God’s mercy. We cooperate, but God has mercy on us. God’s selection is of God who shows mercy, and we simply cooperate.

Especially as we are learning to serve the Lord in His New Testament economy, we need to know that it is wholly a matter of God’s sovereign mercy. God is sovereign, and in His sovereignty, He has mercy on us. God has chosen to be merciful toward us.

It is because of His mercy that our hearts are inclined to seek Him and we come to Him to enjoy Him.

Thank the Lord for His mercy, for it is because of His mercy that we have responded to the gospel and have come into the church life. Everything depends on God’s mercy.

Our cooperation is also God’s mercy; we need to ask the Lord for His mercy. We need to come forward with boldness to the throne of grace so that we may receive mercy and find grace for timely help.

How we thank and praise our Father God who had mercy on us, and we worship and praise Him for His sovereign mercy!

Seeing His mercy and touching His mercy, even being touched by His mercy, we are merciful toward others.

We are strict with ourselves, but we are merciful toward others, allowing the Lord as mercy to be expressed and manifested through us.

May we be such ones today, those who allow God as mercy be expressed through us toward others, both in the family life and the church life, both at home and at work, and wherever we are.

Oh, blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy!

May we Show Mercy to Others today, for Mercy Triumphs over Judgment, to Receive Mercy from the Lord!

For the judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment. James 2:13

In James 2:13, we are told that judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment. This is a sobering word.

We believers in Christ are those who are under God’s mercy; God has shown us mercy, and now we need to show mercy to others also.

This doesn’t mean that we pity the people around us and show them mercy because they are so bad; rather, we have been shown mercy, we are in a low and pitiful condition, and now we express God’s mercy toward others also.

In particular, when we see a poor brother or sister, or when we see those who are in a pitiful condition, we need to show them mercy instead of judging them.

For we must all be manifested before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done through the body according to what he has practiced, whether good or bad. 2 Cor. 5:10This is not just a matter of our outward attitude; this has to do with our inward condition, the condition of our inner being.

Many times, we believers in Christ know the Bible, the ministry, and the saints, and we may have a feeling that we are a bit more superior to others.

We are not superior to anyone; rather, if we see God’s mercy and touch His mercy, we realise we are the most pitiful persons, depending completely on His mercy. So we do not despise anyone, no matter how low and pitiful their condition is.

Anyone who despises a poor brother, having no mercy on him, will not receive mercy when he appears before the judgment seat of Christ (Rom. 14:10; 2 Cor. 5:10).

We may be quite self-contented as we grow in the church life and gain more experience of Christ and in the human life; we think we have done our best, we did a good job with our children or with the young people we care for, and we may not have an attitude of showing mercy to others.

How much mercy do we display toward those who are in a pitiful condition?

We may care for some young ones, and for one reason or another, they are still not advancing with the Lord but rather, they may be drawn into worldly things with worldly friends, and we may not see them for a while. What is our attitude toward them?

What is our attitude toward saints who don’t seem to be so bright or smart, or toward those who may not earn that much?

In the old times, it was quite clear who was poor, and some saints who would come to a love feast would bring a lot of food and eat a lot, while the poorer ones would not bring that much and not have that much.

Today, what is our attitude toward those who are poorer, either spiritually, psychologically, or physically? Do we despise them when we look at them? Oh Lord!

What is our attitude toward those who have turned away from the Lord’s recovery? What is our attitude toward those in Christianity today?

What is our attitude toward the people in the world today? God is merciful. What happens in our heart when we see those in a condition that is not as high as ours?

If we know God’s mercy, if we touch God’s mercy, we will show mercy to others also. But if we do not show mercy to those around us today, God will also not show us mercy.

If we judge others harshly, God will also judge us in the same way. If we have mercy toward others, we will be shown mercy at the judgment seat.

When we come before the Lord to be judged, He will not show mercy to us, because we have not shown mercy to our brother.

Do not judge, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged; and with what measure you measure, it shall be measured to you. Matt. 7:1-2We need to show mercy to others, for mercy triumphs over judgment.

We may think we are right in judging others or criticising them, and we may mask our judging by trying to perfect others to be a little better; what others need is that we show them mercy.

Who are we to judge anyone? If we judge, we will be judged, and the same measure that we judge others, we will also be judged (Matt. 7:1-5).

We may not judge others outwardly, but within us there may be judgment and criticism.

This is why we need to deal with all these things before the Lord.

When we consider our life and history, when we realise what the Lord has done to rescue us from where we were and bring us to where we are today, we realise it is all of His mercy, and we will display mercy toward others.

If we have mercy on our brother today, we will receive mercy from the Lord at His judgment seat. May we take this to the Lord personally and may we deal with Him.

The Lord is not mocked; what we measure others will also be measured to us.

But when we touch His mercy, we will also be merciful toward others, expressing God as mercy toward others, and we will also be shown mercy.

Lord Jesus, thank You for having mercy on us; we love You as our merciful God! May we see that the judgment is without mercy to him who has no mercy, for mercy triumphs over judgment. Hallelujah, mercy triumphs over judgment! Amen, Lord, we praise You for having mercy on us. We are here because of Your mercy. We are where we are because of Your mercy. We are who we are because of Your mercy. May we show Your mercy toward others. May we show others mercy, not judgment. We give ourselves to You, Lord. We give You our inward attitude when we see someone who is in a poor situation or condition. Oh Lord, may we show mercy to others and not judge them. Caus eus to see that, if we judge others, we will also be judged! Oh, may we realise that the measure we judge others with, we will also be judged! May we not judge but rather, show mercy to others today! Amen, Lord, we want to partake of Your mercy today and also at the judgment seat, so we do not judge others but rather, we show them mercy!

We trust Not in Ourselves but in God and in His Marvelous Mercy: we Worship God for His Mercy!

For God has shut up all in disobedience that He might show mercy to all. Rom. 11:32 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us. Eph. 2:4

When we see God’s mercy and touch God’s mercy in our life, we will simply bow down before the Lord and worship Him for His mercy (Psa. 145; Isa. 63:9; John 10:10; Rom. 3:24; 11:32; 2 Cor. 4:1; Eph. 2:4-5).

Every day, even day by day and moment by moment, we will bless God and praise His name forever. Even for eternity, we will praise Him for His mercy.

It is His mercy that we have been selected by God; our selection is due to His mercy, not our striving and struggling. God’s mercy is displayed in His selection of grace.

We should not trust in what we are or what we can do, nor in what we plan to do; rather, we should bow down before the Lord and worship Him for His mercy.

The more we worship God for His mercy, the more we will be uplifted. We do not self-humble ourselves and force ourselves to be low; rather, we touch God’s mercy and we simply worship God for His mercy.

We realise that, as kingdom people, God had mercy on us, and it is by His life and nature that we can be as perfect as our heavenly Father.

We can never attain the high standard of the kingdom of the heavens, for this is the highest standard in the universe. But we can worship the Lord for His mercy, we can be uplifted, and we can live by the divine life and nature of our Father, who is perfect.

Our predestination, our selection, our salvation, our calling, and our being in the church life, are all of God’s marvellous mercy.

Everything about us has been initiated by the Lord. We have cooperated to a certain extent, but He has initiated it, and He is doing all things in us, in His mercy.

The more we worship God for His mercy, the more we can testify that we are one with Him, for we depend on Him.

If we touch God’s mercy, we will thrust ourselves with all we are on Him, and we will depend on Him for everything.

What a mercy that God has selected us, predestinated us, called us, and placed us in His recovery! Every step along the way has been a matter of God’s mercy!

As we see God’s mercy and touch it, we will bear our responsibility before the Lord; even our bearing of responsibility is not by our natural effort but of His mercy.

We do not strive to bear our responsibility, and our work for the Lord is not something outward that we do with gritting our teeth.

Jehovah is gracious and compassionate, / Long-suffering and great in lovingkindness. Jehovah is good to all, / And His compassions are upon all His works. All Your works will praise You, O Jehovah; / And Your faithful ones will bless You. They will speak of the glory of Your kingdom / And tell of Your power, To make known to the sons of men Your mighty acts / And the glorious splendor of Your kingdom. Psa. 145:8-12The more we try in ourselves to do things for the Lord and be responsible, the more we will suffer inwardly, and we will become bitter. Oh Lord Jesus!

But when we worship God for His mercy, we will experience Him in us bearing the responsibility, and we will have an inward taste that is sweet, even as sweet as honey.

We will be happy in the Lord and with the Lord, for His mercy is upon us.

We worship God for His mercy, and we give up our trying and our striving; we simply depend on Him and are one with Him. He had mercy on us. He had compassion on us.

We enjoy God’s mercy and worship Him for His selection; we are therefore in the heavenlies! Our going on in the Lord and in the church life is a matter of God’s mercy, not of our willing or running.

We may be willing today, but tomorrow we are not; our willing and running are in vain, for it is all of God’s mercy.

For the future, we trust not in ourselves but in Him and in His marvellous mercy. God’s mercy truly works in a wonderful way.

His mercy is prevailing both in our personal life and in the church life; because of His mercy, we are one with Him and we cooperate with Him.

Oh, what a mercy that God has selected us, predestinated us, called us, and placed us where we are today, in the church life in the Lord’s recovery! Father, we worship You for Your mercy! We bow down before You and worship You for Your mercy. The more we worship You for Your mercy, the more we are uplifted! Amen, Lord, we love You and we worship You! We depend not on what we can do nor on our running. We realise that in ourselves we are a failure, for we may love You today but tomorrow our heart is far away from You. We give ourselves to You, Lord, and we trust in Your mercy. We worship You for Your mercy, for You have mercy on whomever You will have mercy. We trust in You for our future; we do not rely on our running or striving but on Your marvellous mercy! Hallelujah, our going on with the Lord is a matter not of our willing or running but of God’s mercy! Amen, God’s mercy works in a wonderful way! Praise God for His mercy!

If we would serve the Lord, we must know the Spirit, the life in the Spirit, and the righteousness of God. Furthermore, we must know God’s mercy in the selection of grace…I look to the Lord that He will deeply impress us with the matter of His mercy in selecting us. Do not put your trust in what you are able to do or in what you plan to do. Rather, bow down before the Lord and worship Him for His mercy. The more you worship the Lord for His mercy, the more you will be uplifted. Instead of striving to bear responsibility, you will find that, in His mercy, the Lord is bearing you. We all need to know the Lord in this way. What a mercy that He has selected us, predestinated us, called us, and placed us in His recovery! For our future we trust not in ourselves but in Him and in His marvelous mercy. Everything regarding us has been initiated by the Lord. All is of Him; nothing is of us. I can testify that the more we worship God for His mercy, the more we are deeply in His heart and the more we are one with Him.

Hallelujah for God’s grace, mercy & peace, brother.

Mercy brings in God’s rich grace. Instead of gazing upon ourselves and on our circumstances, we need to gaze steadfastly upon God’s mercy.

It’s by God’s mercy that we have been selected, predestinated, called and brought into God’s recovery.

We must learn to trust in the Lord’s mercy and worship Him for it. How marvellous is God’s mercy.

“Father, we enjoy Thy mercy,

Ever fresh and ever new;

Every morning shed upon us,

It refreshes as the dew.

How we taste it! How we taste it!

Giving Thee the praises due.”

Our going on with the Lord is a matter not of our willing or running but of God’s mercy. What we are experiencing today is related to God’s selection in eternity past. What a mercy that God has selected us, predestinated us, called us, and placed us in His recovery!

We should bow down before the Lord and worship Him for His mercy. The more we worship the Lord for His mercy, the more we will be uplifted, the more we are deeply in His heart and the more we are one with Him. Our inward taste will be as sweet instead of bitterness.

For the future, we trust not in ourselves but in Him and in His marvelous mercy.
God’s mercy works in a wonderful way.
