Christ in His Heavenly Ministry is the Divine High Priest Saving us to His Perfection

June 28, 2017 by aGodMan 10 Comments

Heb. 7:24-25 But He, because He abides forever, has His priesthood unalterable. Hence also He is able to save to the uttermost those who come forward to God through Him, since He lives always to intercede for them.

Christ is the High Priest according to the order of Aaron to remove sin, a kingly High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek to minister God into us, and a divine High Priest to save us to the uttermost. God’s original intention is that He would dispense Himself as life and everything into the […]

Our Aaronic High Priest Removed Sin and our Kingly High Priest Ministers God into us

June 27, 2017 by aGodMan 10 Comments

...His purifying of sins is typified by the work of Aaron, while His sitting down on the right hand of the Majesty on high (1:3) is according to the order of Melchizedek (Psa. 110:1, 4). His work on the cross on earth, typified by the work of Aaron, affords us forgiveness of sins. His ministry on the throne in heaven ministers to us the overcoming of sin. His cross delivered us out of Egypt; His throne brings us into Canaan. The Hebrew believers participated in His work on the cross. Now they had to press on to enter into the enjoyment of His ministry on the throne. Heb. 7:1, footnote 1, RcV Bible

The book of Hebrews is on the priesthood in its three aspects: the Aaronic priesthood (Christ offered Himself to God as the unique sacrifice for our sins), the kingly priesthood (Christ as our kingly High Priest ministers God into us), and the divine priesthood (Christ is saving us to the uttermost). Christ is the High […]

Christ as our High Priest is Interceding for us and He is Ministering God into us

June 26, 2017 by aGodMan 14 Comments

In His heavenly ministry Christ was designated a High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek (Heb. 5:6, 10), not to offer sacrifices for sin as Aaron did but to minister to us the very God who was processed through incarnation, human living, crucifixion, and resurrection, signified by the bread and wine (Matt. 26:26-28). 2017 spring ITERO, outline 5

Christ in His ascension is our High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek; He intercedes for us to be His overcomers to defeat His enemies so that Christ may be manifested in His second coming, and He ministers God into us. This week in the morning revival we are enjoying the topic of, The […]

Enjoying Christ’s Ministry as a High Priest according to the Order of Melchizedek

July 1, 2015 by aGodMan 2 Comments

Jehovah declares to my Lord, Sit at My right hand Until I make Your enemies Your footstool....Jehovah has sworn, And He will not change: You are a Priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek. Psa. 110:1, 4, Recovery Version Bible

God’s intention from the very beginning was that man would be priests to God; He didn’t ask Adam to do anything for Him but to make sure he eats of the tree of life and not of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Adam spent much time with God and knew God personally, […]

Being Genuine Priests to God by Serving God and Ministering God into God’s People

June 29, 2015 by aGodMan 3 Comments

The bread and the wine [ministered by Melchizedek to Abraham] signify God as our enjoyment, God being ministered to us to refresh, sustain, support, strengthen, and nourish us that we may grow with all the riches of God. This is the primary task of a priest. In principle, we who serve God today are His priests. As priests, our main responsibility is to minister Him to people. (W. Lee, Life-Study of Hebrews)

These days we have been enjoying the matter of being recovered by the Lord to be priests to God who live and function in a normal way for the building up of the church, the Body of Christ. Many believers love the Lord, read His word, and regularly attend the meetings of the church, but […]

Christ is a Kingly and Divine High Priest to Minister God to us and Save us Fully

June 2, 2015 by aGodMan 2 Comments

Christ’s divine priesthood is for saving us to the uttermost in His life unto glorification from all the by-products of death, such as vanity, groaning, sighing, decay, bondage, corruption, and slavery; His divine priesthood is the absence of death and the presence of life. Witness Lee

The Bible clearly shows us that the priesthood and the kingship are for God’s building; in Hebrews, we see the heavenly Christ who is both the High Priest and the King (the King of righteousness and the King of peace), as typified by Melchizedek (see Heb. 5:10; 7:1-3, 28; 8:1-2). As the King, Christ maintains […]

Knowing Christ as the High Priest in His Heavenly Ministry and Cooperating with Him

April 3, 2014 by aGodMan 1 Comment

Heb. 7:25 Hence also He is able to save to the uttermost those who come forward to God through Him, since He lives always to intercede for them.

Who is this “Melchizedek” and why is Christ a “High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek”? In the Old Testament we see a lot about the priesthood according to the order of Aaron, but what about this Melchizedek? Also, as believers in Christ today, how can we cooperate with our interceding High Priest, Christ […]
