Being Fully Reconciled to God and Enlarged in Heart to Represent God Rightly in His Economy

As a conclusion to our week on the subject of, Being Fully Reconciled to God and Enlarged in Heart to Represent God Rightly in His Economy, today we want to see some qualifications of a person who represents God rightly on earth. God created us in His image and according to His likeness so that […]

Our Priority is not to Work for God but for God to Work Himself into us and Live in us

Eph. 2:10 For we are His masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand in order that we would walk in them.

God’s main goal is not for man to work for Him but for God to gain our so that He may work Himself into us; in and for the church life what we are is more important than what we do. The central work of God, the unique work that God does in this universe, […]

God’s Central Work is to Work Himself into His People to be their inward Constituent

Gal. 4:19 My children, with whom I travail again in birth until Christ is formed in you.

As believers in Christ, we need to be those experiencing God’s central work and taking Christ as our person in and for the church life. God’s unique work, His central work, is nothing else but to work Himself into us and become our very inward constitution so that we may live the church life, having […]

Our Natural Man needs to be Dealt with for us to have the Fellowship of the Body

February 2, 2018 by aGodMan 4 Comments

If we truly see the life of the Body, we will see that there is restriction in the house of God, and we will not move freely. At the same time, if we have the life of the Body, we will spontaneously fellowship with other children of God, and we will treasure this fellowship and not feel that it is a burden to us. If God’s children do not know the meaning of God’s house, they will not be able to fellowship with God’s other children. Whoever cannot honor the other brothers and cannot render them their due respect, praise, and position has not seen the house of God. If our natural life has been dealt with, and if we know what the life of the Body means, we will learn to treasure the other brothers and to touch life and receive help in the meetings. Watchman Nee

As members of the Body of Christ, our relationship with the Head is that of obedience, and our relationship with the Body is that of fellowship, for we need the fellowship of the Body. On one hand we obey Christ, the Head, as the unique authority in the Body, and in the other, we need […]

Treasuring Christ and Serving, Testifying, and Loving the Lord in the Church Life

Phil. 3:7-9 ...What things were gains to me, these I have counted as loss on account of Christ....I also count all things to be loss on account of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, on account of whom I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as refuse that I may gain Christ and be found in Him...

In the church life we all have three main functions: serving, testifying, and loving; we serve the Lord, we testify of His resurrection life which we experience, and we love Him and pour out everything on Him. This is our experience and our testimony in the church life, and this is what we also see […]

Having a Proper Concept of Value and Treasuring Christ above All Persons and Things

Heb. 11:24-26 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to be ill-treated with the people of God than to have the temporary enjoyment of sin, considering the reproach of the Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he looked away to the reward.

As believers in Christ we need to have a change in our concept of value to treasure Christ above all, for He is the preciousness to us. The reason we love the Lord and we love the church life so much that we are willing to offer everything we have and are for the Lord […]

God Desires to have Christ and the Church for His Expression and Dominion on Earth

January 9, 2018 by aGodMan 13 Comments

The third step of God’s procedure in fulfilling His purpose was to work Himself into man to make man His complement. Adam here [in Genesis 2:18] typifies God in Christ as the real, universal Husband, who is seeking a wife for Himself (Rom. 5:14; cf. Isa. 54:5; John 3:29; 2 Cor. 11:2; Eph. 5:31-32; Rev. 19:7; 21:9). Adam’s need for a wife typifies and portrays God’s need, in His economy, to have a wife as His complement. Gen. 2:18, footnote 1, RcV Bible

In Genesis 2 we see a picture of Christ and the church in the types of Adam and Eve; God wants not only Christ (as typified by Adam) but also the church – God wants Christ and the church. Christ is the mystery of God, He is the explanation and expression of God, and He […]
